One minute in and I have to write this....I am 67 and about 50 pounds overweight, have been almost all of my adult life. It's catching up with me. I have cut out almost all sugar, white stuff, and most snacking/processed foods. Looked in the mirror and came to the hard truth that I am a food addict. OK move forward. Six weeks and I have (only) lost five pounds. Want to throw the scale. Mind f*ck begins self sabotage, etc. Again. I watch these videos for motivation and education. "Even if you lose small amounts of weight you gain large health benefits". Just what I need to remember, every day. I will get there. Thanks.
I am in the same boat. 67 years old and overweight. Yesterday I was 'attempting' to mow the lawn and could hardly get back in the house before i collapsed. I am going to start walking the dog every day and see what happens. I have been fasting until noon every day but don't seem to be losing ANY weight. p.s. I noticed you don't have a 'selfie' pic either haha p.s.s. I was convinced my scale was broken so now have 3 broken scales.
Keep up the good work, the weight might not be coming off as much as youd like it to but your still losing weight not gaining any, should be proud of yourself, you keep doing what your doing, good on you 😊
Check out Dr. Eric Berg's videos on OMAD (One Meal Per Day) and intermittent fasting. I'm post menopausal and I'm losing a pound per day, and I'm not hungry. It works!
I tried not eating food after 4pm daily. It helped a little to control my weight. But when I had a good breakfast and early lunch and no more food after 1pm I really took off my body fat and weight (also low on carbs). Just those 3 hours have really made a difference.
Thku hope this helps. When I eat grains n veg, 1% milk I loose weight faster than if I eat meat. I just saw a video on how much FAT food has and I was so surprised. Knowledge is power ❣️
I started doing a 6 hour window on when I can eat. It takes a 'hot moment' to start kicking in, but I am losing weight. The key for me is to cut out sugar. Also eat whole foods - avoid anything that has to have an ingredient list. I'm also using supplements. BTW, when you take the fat out of milk you're leaving behind a lot more sugar. Fat is less of a problem here than sugar is.
Meat is pure fat!! When people end up with kidney & liver distress it will be from all the fat & meat!! In years to come watch the news for the uptick. Nothing but extremes in this country. NO balance. @@elsagonzalez-qp2ob

Dr. Lee, not only you are a very good Doctor , you are also a very likable person, fun to listen to your way of life and advices, thank you so very much. 👍🥰😃✌️
I agree with people in the Mediterranean countries eat good, lots of seafood and lots of veg... and definitely some meat... but in my experience there's a very big difference, that you seem to miss. It's fresh. The avocado, olives, the lemon, orange etc has ripened on the tree. An avocado or cherry tomato from my friends garden, makes me feel great. If I buy an avocado (exactly 100g every time!). It comes from Chile or Peru, and makes me sluggish and even give me a rash at times. I think, it's highly important to eat what's local to you, clean and in season! The nutrional value is a game changer! Fish and seafood, the same, we have access to fresh, locally caught fish and shrimps, whatever is in season. Canned fish is mostly used for 'stews'. Fresh or frozen is absolutely preferred.
I really appreciate you Dr. Li. I have bought your books and gifted them to my sons (a nurse and a police officer). I use mine to teach my 9&12 yr. old grandchildren on nutrition. I never had weight problems until 11yrs ago when i had a brain tumor. It messed me up really bad. I'm now a 75-year-old. I'm under no medication, no sugar. No white flour only dark rye, i eat fresh eggs every day from my chickens. I use a lot of green tea, matcha, oolong, ginger, coffee no sugar, wild sockeye salmon 3X a week no beef, i eat bison, chicken vegetables and supplements. I don't drink i don't smoke. praise God I still take care of my special needs 44yr old daughter (Cornelia de ĺange syndrome/autism). Thank you for giving so much of yourself to the world. I wish we had more doctors like you. ❤ God bless you. Az. USA
My window closes at 6pm until noon next day, with a planrbased high protein diet, lots of fiber with all the colors of the rainbow. I feel super healthy, as I meditate, pray, learn something new daily and encircle myself in love, friendship/community.
Why would you want all the colors of the rainbow? You don't live where all those toxic GMO fruits and veggies grow. Also, fiber is not healthy, at all.

I believe if you can do a 16:8 which pretty easy it should help to manage your body a lot. I am losing on 20:4 but eventually will drop back to the above.

Now I’m recovering from a double mastectomy and reconstruction I’m now back to fasting, eating healthy and watch Dr Li’s RUclips clips I’ve lost 4 kgs in 3 weeks. Once I have the strength to walk faster and longer I’m gonna stick to eating healthy. Going back to work and have sorted my schedule their to fit an hour walk in each day before of during work hours! I changed my eating habits about a month ago for health reasons and my Dr told me to follow the Mediterranean diet it was one of the best. I don't like works like diet or cheat foods, almost immediately from stopping bread and pasta and highly processed foods I started feeling better all together I eat meats veggies and fruit, now my kids want to eat the same way I am
Feeling so much better since following Dr Li. I have lost 10 pounds and feel so much better. My blood pressure is so much better and am looking forward to getting off meds. My musculoskeletal system is really improving. Just did a 20 hour fast and am planning to fast more. Thank you so much.
Fot the love of God, fasting IS NOT STARVING YOURSELF. We eat breakfast (break - fast) every morning to break the period of time when we’re not eating overnight. Usually fasting just refers to going for a period of time without eating and eating all of your calories in a shorter eating window (as opposed to eating around the clock, which causes a huge number of serious health problems.)
Casually throws the term starvation in there at the start. Then proceeds to talk about benefits of fasting. Proper fasting is not starvation especially if you have a large calorie bank from which to draw.
You can eat salads and still maintain ketosis... I found the last 3-day water fast was just too much for me, as didn't have much fat to burn... salads using homemade Keto friendly dressings made me feel so much better and I breezed through the 3 days
It does in what sense? Because for one thing, you lose a lot of lean muscle mass once you’re in menopause, which means intermittent fasting might not render enough protein intake depending on how long your eating window is. I can’t get enough protein when I fast for longer than 12 hours.
I have struggled for 12 years to lose weight losing and gaining again and again. We ate fairly healthy, but never seemed to find all the pieces. Until 2 months ago. 😊 I met a regenerative medical Dr. I have followed his plan. Which has been pretty easy, intermittent fasting (which I'd been doing for 6 months any way), eating 2 meals per day (been doing that too), cutting out all dairy, starchy vegetables, nuts, beans, pasta rice, potatoes. Allowing 2 equal servings of lean proteins, and vegetables and max 2 servings fresh fruit daily. Snacks:fresh veggies boiled eggs- are my free food. I rarely feel the need to snack. Minimum 64 oz water. I got to pick one day for a cheat meal to eat whatever I wanted no restrictions, just minding not over eating. To date I have lost over 20 lbs! I have had some mental ups and downs and felt I needed inspiration... I found your channel. 😊 I need a bit of guidance on meal prepping to assist making it easy to continue this journey. Thanks for sharing your journey!
This a Ketogenic diet and it works very well, but you have to keep to it, There are lots of books out there to help give you a variety of meals and their is loads of information on line also ways of making Keto bread!😊
Counting calories is a joke, it did nothing for me. Quality of food is the only thing that matters. I don’t diet anymore at 65… it does not serve me anymore. I eat between 10am and 6 pm. Sometimes until 6:30 pm. I only drink water or black coffee outside of that window. I’m losing weight, I have more energy. I look 100 percent better.
Lost 13 lbs in 6 weeks counting macros and micros and yes that includes caloric intake but knowing how much protein, fat and fiber etc I’m getting is as important. It all depends how you count calorie. I also see that switching the caloric intake helps to avoid weight-loss stalls. I avoid plateaus.
I drink 500 ml of tap water in the morning. Then one and a 11/2 to 2 cups of coffee with Creamer, then 4 to 6 cups of lemon ginger water for the rest of the morning. And now i'm back to plain water for lunch rest of day til 6/7pm😊

Some doctors (Dr. Gundy) say tomatoes are terrible, not to eat them at all. Dr. Lee says they are good. It is so confusing with conflicting advice from specialist doctors. How can the advice vary so greatly
Tomatoes are good and especially beneficial when cooked and with a drizzle of oil, just like your forefathers have done it. Just don’t overdo anything! Too much of a good thing is bad.
Dr. Gundy advertises or advises that you should boil the tomatoes quickly, Blanche them then you put them in a bowl of ice water and then you peel off the peel. Then you cut them in half and you remove the seeds. It’s the seeds and the peeled has most of the lectin then the rest of it can be eaten, that’s how my sister-in-law cooks to get rid of the part of the tomato is good for you
Your body will tell you what's good, just listen to it. Make a journal of what you eat in a day and how your body reacts to it, if there are pains avoid, if you feel good then eat, we are our own best doctor.

I don't eat from 5 hours before I go to bed, sleep 7 hours and at least 2 after waking up (minimum 14 hours no food) and I am huge. You have to cut the crap out and reduce your calories. Period.
Yes, you have to cut out the crap. But all calories are not created equal, and calories in vs calories out is not the answer. There's much more involved, and you should get your thyroid and hormones checked.
One rule for you. No sugar and cut processed food as much as you can! Try it! Make the effort to make meals, not eat processed crap. Stick to veggies, small amount of protein, and some fruit, salad, nuts and seeds. NO JUNK. And eat filling meals so you don’t snack! And don’t eat things that are loaded with sugar! Sweets, cakes, etc etc. That with 16-8 eating pattern and you WILL lose weight! Try it!
@@DylanLloyd-qc3pyFruit is sugar and nuts are not healthy either. There are some minor benefits from veggies, but much more from meat and eggs and butter.
@@gregackerson5957 modern research doesn’t quite show this. There are benefits from nuts and seeds and veggies for gut microbiome. Also, the sugar in fruit is somewhat set-off by the fibre in them and also we can handle some sugar every day as our stomach and guts can turn up to about 35g of sugar a day into fat without sending it to the liver to overload and damage it. But eating processed sugar filled foods does the opposite and overloads the liver. Also the nuts and seeds, fruit and veg gives us loads of minerals and vitamins so from a nutrition standpoint it’s good to eat them. Meat maybe really good for us too but over farmed, non organic meat is crap for us, loaded with antibiotics and pesticides etc. need clean cut organic grass fed meat. All this makes sense right? For thousands of years humans ate mostly meat IF they could get it but also scavenged and ate fruit nuts seeds and veg! It’s our natural diet…. and probably loads of sea food!!
Let’s be clear that starving and fasting are two very different things. Starving is bad because it doesn’t allow you to burn stored fat like fasting does. Starving is eating very few calories which doesn’t give much fuel to burn. Fasting is consuming nothing at all for a given time which lowers your insulin so the body changes to burning stored fat.
Fasting is the better option the longer you go the better and reboots your metabolism where as eating carbs on a time window does not. I done a one month fast and it was shitty until after 7 days and after a month i list 20KG of body weight water and fat included but it made me more fat adapted
What happened to one's 'metabolism slowing down because it isn't getting the amount of calories it was used to'? Does anyone else remember that? I'm confused...

That is awesome! I just started a plant based lifestyle choice. No scale, but after walking and eating totally healthy for 1 week, I already feel better. Best of luck on your journey.
As far as I know, animal protein is what builds muscles, not fruits and veggies alone. I'm more of the balance diet approach. I think all real food IS food, anything else like processed junk or fast "food" is absolute trash. I don't even understand how so many people out there think it tastes good. That will be a stretch for me to eat a very small lunch with my larger meal for dinner. I have been eating my larger meal for lunch and a light dinner. Here on the Mediterranean, dinner rarely begins before eight in the evening and that is mostly spent socializing when you are not on your own. The actual eating rarely commences before nine and it is never rushed. There is also the issue of alcohol. My village (population: 700) has 23 wine caves. There are many more in nearby villages. I do allow myself 2-3 glasses of red wine a week. Our village meal are resplendent with carafes of water and juice for those who prefer. Fortunately, when I make up my mind, I am halfway there. If you guessed that I am not French by birth, you would be correct. I started out in southern California and moved here in 2007.

I was never motivated to eliminate sweets and bread when I was younger. Starting at age 73, poor blood results were all the motivation I needed to make big changes-I could see the handwriting on the wall and I really want to live long without real health issues. Fatty liver, sinking eGFR (kidneys), and Haoc of 5.7 (prediabetic) sobered me up fast. 9 months of low-carb, animal based eating has shown improvements but it can be a slow process. I recently added intermittent fasting and I have a new blood draw next week. So we’ll see.
They have turkey, pepperoni and salami that has no nitrates, no antibiotics, no preservatives, no sugar. It typically just cost a little more but if you read the package and see nothing but real ingredients then it is safe. I hate when people say that you can’t eat deli meats, you can eat food if it is food. Just read the label if it has chemicals then it is not food.
Most people from the Indian subcontinent cook at least two times a week. Usually the meat and fish dishes are cooked in large quantity and stored in several containers as batches. Each batch when heated up are like fresh meal and not considered leftovers.
Excellent discussion! It's good to know that, It’s not a slow metabolism that causes you to gain body fat and gain weight. it’s the extra body fat that slows your metabolism. Can disease prevent weight loss? I am intermittent fasting for about 16 hours for about three weeks now. But other days, I actually gain a pound or even two!! I don’t stress if I don’t lose, but gaining is difficult to swallow. (No pun intended). Ya, when you're working 40 hrs a week and taking care of a family, its a bit difficult being consistent with diet and exercise - makes me wish id gone to school to be a personal trainer 🤦♀️
You can do it! It's like I told my daughters. We have the world as our gym. You can do stretches and squats while working on dinner. Just walking around a lot is activity. You can do this.....
Just a suggestion, It's possible to exercise at home. Stretching, squats, sit ups, lunges, press ups to name a few. It takes 10 mins with no equipment and minimal floor space. Plenty of good apps to choose from that may help 👍
Part of the issue is that when you are working and taking care of your family, most often you are too worn out to think about how to get a workout in as well as what to do for that workout. It's getting passed that part that can prove to be the most difficult. HAVE to start somewhere though.
Diet is not as important as fasting. Same with exercise. Fasting has so many health benefits. There are many videos here on RUclips about how to fast. Dr. Jason Fung has lots of great videos on the subject.
Bryan Johnson is the first human experiment for longevity. His protein intake is only 19%, fats 44% and carbs 37%. He is 46 and tests at the age of 18. Olive oil is his number one anti aging food. He doesn’t eat any animal products, by choice. His numerous tests results are in the top scores.
I started taking notes like I was in school thank you. I love my fruit and veggies and different foods. My biggest issue that has been my down fall is sugar. It's been very hard. Think one of the problems may be, withdrawals from processed foods, sugars, chemicals and whatever else is in the foods that most people have been raised on or eating most of their life. It's like a drug addict trying to just quit cold turkey. There's something going on when trying to lose weight, you are having withdrawals & symptoms of real cravings, and lost of control. Have seen people go through these moments, their demeanor changes, their mean, they want food, just like a heroine addict, but it's Doritos or McDonald's. 😶🧐
Spot on! No one has said this! My sentiment entirely. It’s cravings not hunger when you are someone who eats processed food. One just has to go on a keto diet to understand the difference. I was constantly craving and never satisfied on a so-called normal diet. I got to the stage I hated food due to the weight gain. On keto I lost weight, have no more cravings, (therefore fasting is easy) and I appreciate my food more. You are right high sugar carbs are addictive. I read a great adage once: “you’ll never get enough of what you don’t want” And that’s what it’s like on a processed diet!
Processed foood probably have hidden chemicals to make you hooked hence the addiction so when you quit eating it your gonna go through some withdrawals since your dopamine reward system not getting its usualy dosage. I use to be addicted to Mc Donnalds and had to eat it every day but i been mc McDonald free for over 10 year now!!!! Good by Mc Donnalds I dont eat your heart disease crap.
I"m so glad I stumbled across your video! I didn't know about this doctor. But does his advice still remain the same for people trying to correct SIFO or SIBO. I was told not to eat fruits right now but I always thought that fruits can help with gut health which can help my health over all. So hard to figure out what to do.
Lots of experts make me feel like "I can't do that", Dr Li always makes me feel like "oh, I am doing it!" Or at least " yes, I can make that improvement". He's practical, respectful and he has done the science. ❤
I have the scale also. It's not an Amazon product, it's simply available for purchase on Amazon. It's a really good scale that works with an app to read your body composition. It gives you more than just your "weight". I'd recommend it.
Those people who say they are doing every thing he says should keep a food diary . You will find that there are things you are doing or not doing that are outside his advice
I don't believe one style of eating / dieting fits everyone because our bodies are unique. For example, my husband loses weight quicker by exercising and sweating a lot, I lose weight quicker by fasting. I think drinking clean water, eating whole foods, moderate exercise, adequate sleep, and reducing stress are the basic principles that benefit everyone, but within that framework, we have to try different things to see what works. Be encouraged --- you can do it!👍👍 (Also on another channel the doctor recommended drinking a cup of green tea with lemon juice and no sweetener 1 hour before going to bed. Someone responded that they tried it and it worked, that they lost 4 pounds in 8 days.)
I cut soda, alcohol. Lowered sugars and carbs. Fast until lunch, don’t eat nothing after dinner. Stared regular cardio and weight lifting workouts. I feel like my energy is more stable throughout the day, but I haven’t lost much fat. Clearly I’m still consuming more calories than I burn, but it’s frustrating to make all these changes and not see the intended result.
Healing within comes first. And weight loss is a side effect. Be encouraged and remember the body knows what to do to keep you alive and how to thrive... we just have to get ourselves out of the way.
This video was very helpful to me Ive been on my health journey since New Years .There is a sea of information out there on how to lose weight. This video answers alot of my questions .Thank you for posting.

Not every person needs to “go to the gym “. Your point is movement. Since this discussion is fairly rudimentary, when you (the host) talk about people who have no clue as to where to start, why do you assume that population will “go to the gym”as though that is a necessity. Your point is getting movement, people can get movement in many other ways. Animals don’t go workout at a gym. They simply MOVE. So rather than say “those who haven’t gone to the gym..” as though it’s so bad one doesn’t have a gym membership , you should refer to it as MOVEMENT /ACTIVITY/ WEIGHT BEARING . Walking, jogging, biking, hiking, working , lifting boxes or groceries, in-home stretching, yoga, calisthenics. Many seniors walk the mall doing loops due to weather , walk the beach, take dance lessons, play pickle ball, tennis. We don’t all have to “go to a gym”. And I’m sure Dr Le would agree that being out in nature has a whole other mental benefit. Please don’t make “going to a gym” a prerequisite to good health!
I break my fast around 10-11am and then eat dinner between 4-5pm. I do go to bed early, 8ish to watch TV, meditate, etc. But I do fall asleep way too early and am up between 3-5am. 6 hours sleep is about all my body needs. More and I'm sluggish.
Most people don't have more than 1 hr in the morning before work, it's doable only for people that work at home, are retired or work in the afternoon. I don't eat meat, hate it, but do take omega 3. Dr. Lee's info is really interesting and wise. I eat s lot but all healthy and never gain weight, on the contrary I have to be careful not to loose too much weight.
It was a wheat allergy that derailed my life. And now im almost 50 years old and the weight is slipping off like a miracle drug. My invisibility cloak has been removed and i want it back, but i do like having a much slimmer body. Who knew i had such a physique? Only God 🙏
My sister took everything away from her diet after doing an allergy test. She did it on her own. She was puffing out all through out her belly was bloated all the time. She then started putting things back after a year one at a time. She found that it was just her digestion was stuck. She now can eat anything. But has to make sure she eats lots of fruits and veggies. And probiotic foods. She now has no issues.
Dr Li if I am going to listen to any doctor it is going to be you because I love your presentations and I love you advice keep up the good work and God bless you
One of my non negotiables/mantras for years was 'I don't need to like it but will eat it if it's good for me'. I repeat that when I'm swallowing down apple cider vinegar, or when I down some turmeric with water. As an adult I just realize I have to eat things I might not like, but can tolerate for a few minutes. But I'm not a 'foodie' and don't have a fancy palate, so I can do that.
Umm no you can over eat healthy foods and gain weight, it's still about calories in vs calories out. Just make it healthy and it will be better for you.
I never ate any breakfast on schooldays, growing up. And I still got mostly As and Bs. My appetite never wakes up until around 10 AM. Even coffee. Not until 10 AM. Listen to your body.
Cutting out processed meats makes a huge impact on weight loss. First, they’re loaded with sodium second they have carcinogens and third the salt makes you eat more. The most important thing is that they are not a good source of protein you can do better with sardines or tuna

It works!
Congratulations losing 5lbs. Over a longer period of time is better than losing it in 5 days. Again Congratulations and keep going your doing
The South Beach eating plan is great. Lifting weights .... heavy is crucial
Now that I am retired on an 22 acre organic farm, 6 yrs in the making, home grown meals are the joy of life and health. For that I am very grateful.
I tried not eating food after 4pm daily. It helped a little to control my weight. But when I had a good breakfast and early lunch and no more food after 1pm I really took off my body fat and weight (also low on carbs). Just those 3 hours have really made a difference.
I fast more than 12 hours per day and eat very few snacks during the day; I’m still fat. Doesn’t work unless you cut your food intake back.
Are you eating carbohydrates? You want your body to burn fat instead of sugars...@@nancyyarletts165

Amen. Came here for your xomment
You’re absolutely right!!! Thsnks
@@sneakerfreak2002😂😂😂
Casually throws the term starvation in there at the start. Then proceeds to talk about benefits of fasting. Proper fasting is not starvation especially if you have a large calorie bank from which to draw.
You can eat salads and still maintain ketosis... I found the last 3-day water fast was just too much for me, as didn't have much fat to burn... salads using homemade Keto friendly dressings made me feel so much better and I breezed through the 3 days
I hear women say intermittent fasting should not done during menopause, that it doesn’t benefit. I’m here to tell you it most certainly does!!!
It does in what sense? Because for one thing, you lose a lot of lean muscle mass once you’re in menopause, which means intermittent fasting might not render enough protein intake depending on how long your eating window is. I can’t get enough protein when I fast for longer than 12 hours.
It does work. I have lost 10 lbs. through intermittent fasting. I do barre, yoga, and Pilates every week and don’t eat after 6 pm.
But eat more protein in you're meals when menopausal even when fasting
Agree 💯% I'm 74 and it works great for me...

That's a keto diet, and it should work.

I started loosing weight while on prednisone with this exact plan. 10 AM - 6-pm or 6:30pm. 9.5 lbs so far.
You got it sussed. 👍
Thanks for posting. You are right on!!

Some doctors (Dr. Gundy) say tomatoes are terrible, not to eat them at all. Dr. Lee says they are good. It is so confusing with conflicting advice from specialist doctors. How can the advice vary so greatly
I think they can cause inflammation. Tom Brady doesn’t eat them. I love them. I will never give them up. Love them fresh, cooked, in sauces and salsa.
Look up information about lectins, low lectin diet to understand why tomatoes are good for some people but bad for others.
This video has caused me to restart meal choices I had abandoned during a long period of medical investigation. Self soothing with very bad choices has got to stop. Your guest hit all the buttons. Thank you

Me too
One rule for you.
Cudos Mark ! Very clear !
Also good to vary the fasting lengths so the body cant normalize it.
Fasting is the better option the longer you go the better and reboots your metabolism where as eating carbs on a time window does not. I done a one month fast and it was shitty until after 7 days and after a month i list 20KG of body weight water and fat included but it made me more fat adapted

I hate when people say that you can’t eat deli meats, you can eat food if it is food. Just read the label if it has chemicals then it is not food.
Who has those meats turkey and all what brand please thank you in advance
Oh it's on!!!!!
Well worth the search. Thanks for making others aware
We shouldn't complicate food and exercise. Instead don’t overeat and eat diverse and healthy foods. Thank you for the valuable and helpful video Doug and Dr. William!❤👍
Can disease prevent weight loss? I am intermittent fasting for about 16 hours for about three weeks now. I am on one of those very restrictive diets, and only eat salad for lunch, and dinner about seven. I walk and sometimes I am losing a pound a day. But other days, I actually gain a pound or even two!! I don’t stress if I don’t lose, but gaining is difficult to swallow. (No pun intended). I’m 75 years young and I want to lose about another 15 to 20 pounds.
I forgot to add that I have Chronic Lyme Disease.
@@bethanychos6005 Bethany, Lyme disease can cause weight loss, it can also cause weight gain. These reasons can include: Changes in metabolism. Hormonal fluctuations. Studies have shown that Lyme disease can affect not only body weight, but also metabolism. This can lead to a host of other health problems, including fatigue, depression, and anxiety.👋
@@bethanychos6005It’s important that you speak with your healthcare provider regarding your weight concerns. There can be many factors contributing to your weight gain. A simple blood analysis can help your practitioner figure the reasons why. I’m a nurse, I cannot give medical advice, but I can help guide you in the right direction. Hope you find the help you need.
OH POOR YOU Bethany 😢. I am so sorry for you. Have you tried fasting?❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for fruitful information and guidance 🙏 blessings
Before dinging at a restaurant, I always check to see if their menu is online so I can check for the best options to order.
That’s what we recommend to all our clients at our Center. Very good idean
Dr Li’s books are also at the public library, and on Libby.
Sometimes it requires extra forward planning but it can be made easier in several ways
Inspiring. Good information. Thank you.
I did good today and put cranberries in my oatmeal and I enjoyed that. I don't really drink soda anymore, I have increased water. It's steps as I try to see it lol. I have not given up. 😊
Thank you Dr. Lee for valuable information. Going to try. Need to do so. God bless you.
Fantastic interview, Thank you both.
I stopped eating after 5pm, and got up at 5 am, but I didn’t eat until 7 am. So that is pretty good. I can’t do it that way when I am working though.
It was sooo much easier for me to fast in the morning! I still wanted to come home & have dinner w my family ❤ black coffee or tea for breakfast! It was tough in the beginning but I lost tons of weight and got used to it 🥰👏🙏
I cut out all sugar except fruit. No soda. Lots of veggies.
It through fasting. I learned this from God by fasting. I worked out, by going for long walks going slow while fasting only water. I’m losing a lot of fat, belly fast by exercising while fasting. 3 1/2 day fast I lost 7 pounds while walking slow everyday I fasted and kept it off. I feel great I love fasting and intermittent fasting ❤praise Jesus!
Does god tell you this directly and verbally??😮
I AM A TRUE FAN OF DR. LI ... BUT I AM FINDING THAT MANY OF THESE PRESENTATIONS ARE THE SAME OVER AND OVER
JUST WITH DIFFERENT TITLES... I WOULD LIKE TO GO DEEPER AND COVER OTHER AREAS VIA DR. LI
I’m so glad to see you doing new videos
Think one of the problems may be, withdrawals from processed foods, sugars, chemicals and whatever else is in the foods that most people have been raised on or eating most of their life. It's like a drug addict trying to just quit cold turkey. There's something going on when trying to lose weight, you are having withdrawals & symptoms of real cravings, and lost of control. Have seen people go through these moments, their demeanor changes, their mean, they want food, just like a heroine addict, but it's Doritos or McDonald's. 😶🧐
@joycemartincream. You probably meant processed food , but your typo ,is also correct “possessed food”. LOL😅
LOL 😂
Excellent conversation. I learned a lot. For some reason i thought i couldn't skip breakfast. I can. Thank you.
skipping breakfeast is easy just dont eat for about 4 to 5 hours after you wake up your not gonna die unless your some diabetic

Always helpful information here. Thank you Dr. Li and Doug Bopst.
I think most doc dont know anything about nutrition and only prescribes medication and hope you get well
For sibo,or any gut problems you need to watch Dr. William Davis. He's great good manner and super smart.
I like the Renpho scale also. It’s good to track all the “compartments” of your body. And it’s only like 20 bucks on Amazon.
i would never trust amazon but as long it makes you happy good for you
I have the scale also. It's not an Amazon product, it's simply available for purchase on Amazon. It's a really good scale that works with an app to read your body composition. It gives you more than just your "weight". I'd recommend it.
Love this scale too
Everything you’re saying is so right! And so true!
I do everything Dr Li says, but still can’t lose weight! The only food that makes me lose weight is what I don’t like!
My husband also applied all of these principles, but cannot lose visceral fat.
Consider using key dietary supplements that support a better metabolism. They work great for our clients at our Center
@@88keys98He has to exercise as well.
A very helpful video!
You have to get rid of all refined sugar, One, carb a day, and one starch only a day
Check dr eric berg as well. He also gives good tips.
Healing within comes first. And weight loss is a side effect. Be encouraged and remember the body knows what to do to keep you alive and how to thrive... we just have to get ourselves out of the way.
I can't stop eating donuts and ice cream! It's terrible I can't stop
I clearly understand you, been doing the same for more than two months with just little results 😢
This video was very helpful to me Ive been on my health journey since New Years .There is a sea of information out there on how to lose weight. This video answers alot of my questions .Thank you for posting.
I'm on the floor again
Motivation is out of the question for me. I just have to survive the holidays
😢❤
Motivation is the byproduct of desire. When desire is big enough motivation will follow
@@healthyinformation The desire is great for someone, but it is unrequited for now. Anyway, it's a few kg.🙂
Dr Li is so inspirational ! I’m off to the supermarket then a walk then home for breakfast should be around lunchtime !avocado and poached egg sounds great! A new routine for the summer
Less words, more working out. Go to the gym.
Dr Li if I am going to listen to any doctor it is going to be you because I love your presentations and I love you advice keep up the good work and God bless you
I do the fasting until 12hoo lunchtime. 16 hours. That is doable too.
I did that and it was not hard especially when I drank tea with ginger and lemon.
I am starting again today. Thank you. ❤
❤Great video, both you and the Dr are really nice to listen too..thank you..God bless you
One of my non negotiables/mantras for years was 'I don't need to like it but will eat it if it's good for me'. I repeat that when I'm swallowing down apple cider vinegar, or when I down some turmeric with water. As an adult I just realize I have to eat things I might not like, but can tolerate for a few minutes. But I'm not a 'foodie' and don't have a fancy palate, so I can do that.
Thank you for that ! I thoroughly enjoyed your video!
It's not about calories, it's about the type of food you're eating.
Fantastic comment. Absolutely right!!!!
Great talk! Excellent wisdom! Saved!
Cutting out processed meats makes a huge impact on weight loss. First, they’re loaded with sodium second they have carcinogens and third the salt makes you eat more. The most important thing is that they are not a good source of protein you can do better with sardines or tuna
How do I buy a metabolism tracker?❤
frozen steamable veggies ready in 5 minutes. season to taste.
frozen berries. they thaw ready to eat in about 30 minutes.
fish, chicken, beef, in the air fryer.
vitamins.
Great questions, Doug!
