- When it comes to dream family vehicles for well off enthusiasts, it doesn't get much better than a fast wagon. Wagon's give you the cargo capacity of an SUV, with the car-like driving dynamics you expect from a sports sedan. Back in 2021, Audi finally gave enthusiasts what they wanted with the #RS6Avant. It is Audi's answer to the Mercedes-AMG E63S Wagon and Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo, and while the #AudiRS6Avant may be down a bit on power, the overachieving nature of the engine and gorgeous styling make this one of the most lust-worthy family cars on the market. #AudiRS6 #Audi #RS6

Happy Friday everyone! As requested, we pushed our full review on the RS6 Avant and this vehicle is easily in our list for best cars we drove in 2023! Audi should be giving us some more details on the upcoming 2024 RS6 Avant Performance later this year, but if you can't wait for that model, the regular version is still going to be more than enough for any enthusiast.

Wow 3.1 seconds for this heavy wagon is just nuts. The RS 6 is just a beauty of a car and just insane that a freaking wagon has this sort of performance. Also I have only seen 2 RS 6 avants so far and man they are gorgeous.

Seems to me the RS6 has actually been selling decently. Hopefully it encourages manufacturers to try more wagons here. People are pretty much done with Sedans and wagons are an interesting alternative
BMW introduced a wagon version of the M3 Competition, but I don't think North America gets that yet sadly.

Agreed. As a wagon-enthusiast and owner, I’d buy a wagon in a heartbeat any-day over an SUV. I just don’t understand the popularity of SUVs beyond their cargo capacity, which can be had in the wagon body style.
@@clothestravel I love wagons, but some people need 3 row seating vehicles. I wish they would make a wagon with available 3 rows. I would get that over an suv any day.

130k nobody wants to haul kids in 130k car you can get volvo v90 for 50-60k kids can destroy it and you still have enough to buy another one.

I LITERALLY just finished making myself sick by building one before coming to see you posted this video. The one I spec'd was $138k. SHEESH... I went with Nardo Gray/Cognac, black optics, dynamic pack, sport exhaust, and a few other things... if I had it, I'd totally do it. It's my literal dream car! I think even above the GTR just because of the practicality. I'd be the guy loading it up at Home Depot though. Lol
i have a 2009 A6 3.0T avant thats tuned to about 450hp and i take that bish to home depot all the time lol
I would take this over a c8 stingray any day of the week, it's so much better than the c8, it's worth the six figures
@@chrism869 of course. It’s a daily driver with massive balls and practicality. A C8 is cool, but that’s a car for shows, the track and Sunday drives. Driving a C8 in around town traffic just doesn’t make sense.

if those brake discs are ceramic which is optional on this car you will be amazed how much it costs to replace them

Visually this car looks so much better and more cohesive then it's BMW estate counterpart! I've owned in Audi Allroad and loved ! And if I were to buy another wagon..... This one just might be it!

Great wagon! I saw one of these while on the interstate while in my Lightning and coming from NYC to PA and the driver was conservative however we did make a few spirited runs. I got home and search it online right away. What a great looking, unique "class of it's own" car!

We have numerous 'ultimate' or expensive premium wagons on the market but we are sorely lacking in wagons for ordinary people. The Subaru Outback needs some competition!
That's because the only mainstream wagon that actually sells in America is the Outback 😅

@@theredline Intelligent people will buy a wagon when available and the Germans know how to make them comfortable (as did the Swedes) but of course sheeple will buy SUV's, Raptors, Jeeps, f-150, and sedans even when few need the offroad vehicles. Thats why most SUV's offer next to zero offroad prowess.

Instead, we’ve ordered an A6 Allroad Presitge. We’ve hit just about every single option, and it’s still, literally, HALF the price of this.

In your opinion since you've driven both. If you could get both for the same price. Is the dynamic ride control upgrade worth it? Curious if there is a poor effect on ride quality if your mainly daily driving. Enough that you would buy a car without the option over the one with it.

All the 2020-ish Audis look fantastic to me. So much better than the Mercs and BMWs. The only reason I’d get an RS Q8 over this is old knees.
I own an RS Q8 because I need to pull a trailer from time to time. It’s an absolute beast:-)
too cool you are reviewing the same spec and color as mine. I got it in Jan and love everything about it except for one thing. if you put it in RS mode it will reset when you turn off the car.
I own a 2022 RS6. And yes it’s fantastic. Fast, sounds great, handles brilliantly, the Quattro grip is phenomenal,and it is ridiculously comfortable on long journeys. At high speeds on the German autobahn it just hunkers down and almost seems to be telling you that it can go much faster. But in the interest of fairness there are a couple of issues: the tyre profile is so thin any pot holes don’t just jolt your spine, it breaks the alloy (I’ve seen 3 at my local Audi garage as a result of this), the gearbox in normal auto mode is slow and dim witted and the accelerator has little feel and is quite spongy. None of these things would stop me recommending one though. I wonder what the Performance model will be like.

This is my dream car! I don’t particularly like electric cars , even tho they’re fast , but I love the sound of a ICE in a i6 or v8 form..this Audi is one of the best.. I am a BMW fan for I drive a BMW x3M. This car is very pricey new , and all my cars that I purchase has to be brand new because I like to lease! I would love to purchase this used..sigh I guess I’ll keep dreaming! 😂
slight ecu remap boost power to over 700HP.
Its crazy to have a wagon that can take your family on a road trip, yet scare the crap out of them everytime you stomp on it. Amazing the rs6 will forever be my fav wagon, forget the e63, this is better. A mild tune and it will be a monster. It shoves you back in the seat like no other.
I love those sleeper wagons. I think of the Cadillac CTS V wagon. This Audi is sweet.

As I always say: I always will prefer a station wagon over an SUV. This is a beautiful station wagon. That blackened accents make it look menacing.
I’ve seen a black and red RS6 in the wild,both were stunning! I was considering a C8 Corvette ERay to see the states when retired rather than the boring RV thing BUT the RS6 with similar performance,larger cargo/napping area and approximate price range has me reconsidering…not to mention it’s AWD/any weather friendliness! I’m a bit Leary of Audi’s past reliability but in fairness…the Corvette has had a jaded past as well… The cheaper alternative to the RS6 with the same ballpark performance is the BMW M3 wagon…decisions,decisions. Both have crazy performance and reliability issues which is why I’m also considering 2-3 other performance cars together…for the same amount of cash. The CTR,Darkhorse,and the GR Corolla. I understand it’s apples and oranges but 3 cars approximately for the price of one is worth considering. Plus,Toyota is coming out with the new Celica and MR2…lots of toys to choose from!
