      This girl knows ^
      Shotgun is the best weapon for home defense without a doubt, which you could use for some hunting as well. Here in Sweden we are allowed to have single shot rifles and shotguns with a hunting license which you also could use if an intruder attacks you (Although I'd still avoid it because you can get charged unless you got a good lawyer)

    I respect the fact that these people took a kid who lost his mother into their home and tried to help him. That said... I do not understand why they allowed him to have weapons. Considering they knew about his mental state....just major lack of common sense.

    • @katelynbendinsky5080
      @katelynbendinsky5080 6 лет назад +8

      Kind of seems that they were also not aware of the gravity of his mental illnesses. Depression is so very common now that they probably didn’t know his whole history but didn’t think it was worse than what’s often typically seen in teenagers. Especially one who just lost a parent.

That comment he made about him being OK with him owning guns was them trying to push an anti-gun agenda. NBC is blatantly anti-gun. HE HAD THEM LOCKED UP IN A GUN SAFE. The guy thought he had the only key to the gun safe. If Nicholas would not have had another key, unknowingly to them, he wouldn't have been able to get in there with out the the guy's permission.

    0:44 If someone that has had lifelong debilitating depression comes up to you and says, "This is the happiest I've ever been," that is a sign psychologists use as one of the number one indicators someone is about to harm themselves or others. Because they know the end is near, they feel relieved. A perceived end to the suffering for this monster was to cause suffering for others, which ended life as he knew it.

    I’m tired of people blaming depression for his decision to end so many beautiful lives. The last thing America needs is more stigmatization of mental health; just because someone takes antidepressants doesn’t mean they’re going to murder people.

    • @LittleWarWolf
      @LittleWarWolf 6 лет назад +31

      local buzzkill No, but we need to take in account what antidepressants do to people. That they can cause bad episodes and aren't suitable for anyone, nor are they a magical solution. And this is coming from someone who was placed into a mental facility aswell and has been on citalopram. We need to take that into account.

      This story is a fraud, a fiction a fake. Why do they stoop so low to take our God Given Rights away from us? Can you imagine what they have planned for us once we are disarmed? They're murdering kids to take our rights away. What will they do when we can't protect ourselves? When every home is a guaranteed "gun free zone" like this school, or like the city of Chicago (which has a higher gun crime rate than any city on earth, including Baghdad, Idlib and any place in Syria)?They want us in total slavery, then the planned genocide of African Americans and European Americans will enter the stage of open slaughter. So far they do it with food additives, brainwashing, disease and war. The globalists do not want black or white americans as their subjects. Both groups have proven to be too resistant to slavery.The enemy wants to eliminate both of these races, to replace them with mixed breed Euro-Asiatic slaves with no identity and no roots. The news media is run by the enemy.

    If someone would've known what he was going through on the inside and tried to help, this all could have all been avoided. Not an excuse for the terrible thing he did but I genuinely think he could've been a good person doing good things if he didn't experience the things he went through along with being in a terrible mental state. He's a very young adult and made a very stupid mistake that he's going to regret for the rest of his life. He probably wanted to take out all that was built up inside of him on other people. I do think the parents that took him in lacked common sense though. Letting a depressed teen that lost his parents keep a gun in their house?! But still again, no excuses for the 17 lives he took.

Instead of just looking at him as insane, realize that it takes a lot of trauma to even think shooting up a school and killing people is okay. This kid needed HELP, and although what he did was not justifiable he is still a human, not a monster. It's a shame he didn't get the help he needed before he cracked too deeply and took "matters" into his own hands.

      NBA Savage IDK why everyone things people are blaming the gun, no one is blaming the gun, but we do blame those who put and allow guns like these to be handed to crazy people just so that they can go out and murder dozens. Plus just FYI, these are military guns, guns of war that don’t belong in the hands of the public to begin with...

    I’m just so disgusted...I’ve been searching and watching these shootings and it honestly makes me wanna cry. No person should have to fear going to school or fear the people around them. It’s not right. What this monster did was so wrong. Above all the Monsterous things ppl have done. As an American myself, I’m so disappointed in how people today have become.
    I send my prayers to all the survivors and hope the people that have past away rest in absolute peace.

      I appreciate your point. But I don’t understand why you mention being disappointed as “an American myself”. A cursory look at history or current world politics doesn’t frame America as uniquely violent. Nazi Germany, Pol Pot, Stalin, Kim iL Sung, Mao, the Islamic State, violence in Cape Town, Columbia, Mexican drug cartels. Be disappointed in humans, not America.

    Who was the person or persons reporting his "suspected" behavior and what exactly was he doing to warrant this concern? And why wasn't the Sneads told about it or contacted about it? I would think they would be a top priority to contact, if nothing else then to warn them they may be in danger if his actions where enough cause for concern to contact the FBI. Again, WHO REPORTED and WHAT WAS THE CAUSE/ CONCERN? Someone from his job? A friend of the family? A friend of his? Questions that should be asked and answered. So far i haven't heard anyone reporting or asking these questions. If anyone has information please post a link.

    People need to stop blaming the couple that let him in. His mom died and they let him in. Just because someone has guns doesn’t mean they’re going to shoot up a school. Some people like to go outside to a firing range and shoot them. They had no way of knowing he was depressed unless they looked at his social media (snapchat) like it mentions. People need to blame the kid who did it nothing else. It’s his fault his actions his decisions. The couple could’ve helped him if they knew he was depressed

It’s not none of it makes sense this couple makes no sense period .... had it been hour child gone would your opinion still be the same? M & L Sosa very good point but what is wrong with someone trying to lift this 19 year old out of his dark past. They could’ve thought his past violence was because of his parents and they wanted to help him out of it. The 17 lives lost has nothing to do with them helping him. He would’ve done the same thing regardless. Blame the person who did the shooting. Not the ones who tried to help the shooter.

    I always love the parents, boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands or wives always say I cannot believe they could do something like this. ANYONE is capable of doing what he did. You do not need to show signs of derangement to see it. Its called behavioral pattern. You watch for their mood changes, what they say or don't say. What he post on social media sites. etc.
    When you observe stuff about people you can generally tell what their demeanor is.
    Of course she is going to say she seen no behavioral signs but I guarantee they have Facebook and knew something. I am not saying they knew what he was planning but they knew he was messed up because she said it herself; he was depressed. That right there was a warning flag.
    Depression alone can cause someone to do something like this. They knew about the guns and I am sure they knew about the social media post too. However no one took the time to help this man and he lost it and sadly 17 people lost their lives. :(

Gang culture also relates to poorly funded areas, institutionalised racism etc. Chicago is always blasted on the news hence why there is a clear negative image known world wide of chicago. Exactly, it is a black on black crime, in the words of tupac "just one less ugly mouth on the welfare." I don't say no to guns but just not heavily automatic guns. The uk refuses the use of high-calibre guns and we have prominent gang cultures and hoods
