Lmao thanks! I feel like more guides should show minimum or lower tier gear to prove its doable and provide examples to what an average players trips should look like instead of maximum efficiency. It makes it more understandable and shows that it is possible for those with less on their account, also allowing for more inspiration to actually do things like the fight caves. @@Karlsonsk Exactly. It also helps morale cause if you state in the guide that it CAN be done and then proceed to do it with BP and Armadyl and then the player watching the guides tries with the minimum gear and is struggling it discourages them. This is probably the best recent guide. I'm not an ironman but it talks a lot more about tactics than a lot of other guides which seem more focused on inventory.
You got no idea how happy this comment makes me feel lmao, thanks a lot! I've also noticed in a lot of guides that there is a lack of actual help in the caves. Like you said most people focus on inventory and gear, but in reality you can do the fight caves with just about any gear at any level. You just need to know the mechanics and how the caves work, which is what I focused on for with this guide :D
Insanely good guide with a realistic setup. Following the rotations, standing in the right place at the start of rounds and dragging the enemies made the waves leading up until Jad so chill. Got my fire cape 2nd try, thanks a lot bro
Hell yeah, happy I was able to help out and that you enjoyed the guide! The goal was to make this as ironman and low level friendly as possible and based on everyone feedback I seemed to have accomplished that 😄
Great guide. Huge props for actually doing the caves with the low-end setup instead of most guides where they rattle of this gear and then do it with a tbow in full armadyl, making any demo useless for people who need a guide.
Why would you take the wrench? +1 per sip, you gain +68 from 17 in your inv. But if you meet your minimum +44 prayer, 1 pot restores 72, you lost 4 prayer by takeing the wrench instead of another p-pot. If you were 70 prayer (common stopping point due to bonecrusher/quest req) then you lost 28 prayer over the course of the fight.
Big thanks! been procrastinating this challenge for so long until I saw this and managed to clear it just now on the first try only a couple of hours after watching the video
By far the best and most comprehensive fight cave guides out there. Big props for showing the safe spot tiles, where to stand, and how to lure the monsters. Fire cape was a huge goal of mine , as I was sick of running around with an ardy cape for all my combat training. Watched this vid a few times and got the cape 2nd jad attempt at 3 hp as I ran out of food. I used the blowpipe and got some lucky specs off while tanking 1 of the healers (I made them a line). Also forgot to pray steel skin and eagle eye until halfway through the Jad fight. But hey, I made it out in the end! One tip to others: on wave 62, put the orange guy at a safe spot, get up and take a bathroom break, wash your hands, take deep breaths and get ready. You’re most likely sitting for over an hour and a half so u need to stretch and get the blood flowing and calm down for Jad. Just make sure you don’t go too afk and log by accident ofc lol.
Appreciate the praise man! Happy you got the cape and it only took you 2 Jad attempts! I agree with taking a break before jad though, it definitely helps to move a bit and focus up a bit more without being rushed 🫡
I was struggling so much, and after your advice about this rotation map and the shirt bow I did it first try without too much issue. Legitimately the best guide out there, and I’ve watched a few. Thank you so much for the info.
Definitely a good guide probably the best one out there as far as details and just pointing out the rotations list and how to set it up made this way easier. Especially for Ironman and probably low level mains trying out new content. Thanks for help.
Thank you! I'm glad you feel that way, I really did try my best to make this as beginner and ironman friendly as possible, so to hear that makes me beyond happy. Happy I could help you out and best of luck with your cape 😄
Easily the most thorough and complete guide out of the 4-5 I watched. Got my Cape this morning on my GIM! Will be recommending this guide to the rest of the group. Cheers!
One tip that I don't see recommended anywhere on the youtube guides, that is massively beneficial against Jad: DEFAULT pray against range, and switch to mage as needed. His mage attack is way, way, way easier to pray against, has a longer windup time, and plays a sound effect the second it starts casting (the sound effect is the same as the Retribution prayer effect when it triggers). His range attack has far less audial warning, goes out a lot faster, and also causes him to raise his arms in the air, which can be confused for the mage attack. If you default pray to range then switch whenever you hear the mage attack being cast, you'll save yourself a lot of pain and wasted time.
Best guide to date! First time doing Fight Caves, made it to Jad and got him to 60hp....and of course messed up on a prayer switch. Your guide can't get any better!
This is by far the best video. Tried 3x with other guides, was having a hard time, this one made it stupid simple and i love it! even talking about logging out, that way i know i can take a pee break! thanks dude!
Thank you for the kind words and I'm happy you found the guide helpful! I wanted to include as many tips as possible when making this guide, especially the ones that I wish I had known when I did the caves on my ironman. Logging out was not one of those things I knew myself lmao. Was in the cave for like 3 hours my first run without any breaks just to end up dying 😂

@@jessedekruijf Hell yeah man, first attempt is impressive as shit! Massive congrats on your cape, now go get that inferno cape with your first attempt skills 😎

@@snibbers Hell yeah!!! Congratulations on your cape and good job powering through those two fails, same happened to me and I was about ready to just settle with my skill cape lmao
A tip I have to give after trying the fight caves for the first time just a few days ago. When you go in for the first time, just go in and see what happends. With the info in the guide, you'll feel more confident your second time when you know more what you're agains. I lost on my first try on wave 53, but I was only trying. Got to Jad the second time, but clicked the wrong prayer. third time, I paniced with Jads Healers, and fourth time, I thought it was a ranged attack when it was a magic attack, and I got a lag spike, so I was unable to change back in time.
For any iron looking to do their first fire cape, this is the guide for you! I’ve been procrastinating so hard in obtaining my fire cape on my hcim for so long and just wanted to say thank you for such a great guide! I was able to get to Jad so easily and finished my first fight caves in years! I usually skip through guides but watching this video throughout has helped a ton. Earned my sub👍

Thanks bro, this guide was huge for me. Ran my first two attempts this morning - bailed on the first one at 55 and managed to kill Jad on the second run. I'm absolutely buzzin
Let’s go man, second attempt cape is really good! Happy the guide could help and now you gotta make use of that cape! Good luck on your future grinds 😁
UIM in combat 65s here - I searched for a Fight caves guide after dying on my first try... for some reason I skipped the first two recommended videos and was attracted by the title of yours. Well - destiny, I would say, as you managed to help me getting my firecape first try with this method! (And I also followed your instructions by successfully tanking 1 Jad hit :P) Thank you very much for this awesome guide! I will recommend it to anyone who struggles with getting to Jad!
Congratulations on the cape!!! The fact you did the fight caves with 65 cmbs on a UIM is crazy, especially considering the fact you tanked a Jad hit and it was your first try. I'm happy I was able to help you achieve this and thank you for the kind words 😎
For inventory tips, it should be said that ranging potions can be commonly looted from the Grubby chest. The keys are not as rare as other ones similar to it and all the supplies from it are VERY useful for Ironmen~!
Underrated for sure! I love when people keep it simple. For some reason the sweaty tick perfect guides always dissuade me from trying new challenges. Dont get me wrong those guides are valuable as well, but I really appreciate the simple method to at least go in and attempt. Then refine later. Thanks for making this video!
I went through a few guides but this is by far the best one I stumbled upon. Making the inferno less intimidating rather than more so. Made my first firecape seem like a breeze, so nowadays I can hold my head up high on the slayer-tasks. Thanks boss!
I cannot thank you enough! I got my first firecape first try! Iron btw ;). Thanks to you my childhood dream came true lol. I only watched your video and looked up a Jad practice to get the prayer flicks down. I'm 83 def and 93 range and used your exact set up without a task/slay helm (yes, MSB w rune arrows) but included blood spells in a rune pouch (worthless, don't use) and was left with 5 mantas and over half the pray pots. To anyone who thinks they can't do it or doesn't want to put the time in. Watch this video fully once, then take some time and eventually you'll have a spur of the moment and want to do it (like me). I watched the video again as I did the waves and waited until he called out the wave he was on and would stop and continue watching. Like Karl said, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WAVE ROTATIONS. P.S.: it's not mentioned in the video, but when Jad is at 150 HP, it spawns 4 healers. Attack each of them to gain agro and to prevent healing, but attack 1 healer at a time after jad hits you so you can adjust your prayers accordingly. + don't get dragged into melee. Good luck!
So happy I was able to help and congrats on getting your first cape 🎉!The tips you’ve provided are extremely important to take into account and hopefully see this comment for the input. Again happy I was able to help and am very glad you enjoyed the guide. Now make use of that cape and show it off 😎
I'm closing in on attempting fight caves on my UIM, and I have never done it before. This video has given me a lot of confidence, man. Short but informative, the best kind. Have a like and a sub, you've earned it big time!
Thank you and good luck on your run! UIM prep for fight caves are always scary so I wish you good fortune in the caves, guarantee you'll get it first attempt :D
@@Karlsonsk Yooo, just wanted to say that I failed my first attempt and died when healers spawned during Jad (had I not panicked I'd be fine). I tried again today and the run was super smooth, so got myself my first ever fire cape! Thanks!
The MSB and rotation tips were game changing.. Tried once blind on my IM with rcb and fucked up at wave 47 since I didn't know the rotation and got 2 shot by the mage's melee. Tried a second time with MSB and the rotations page open, one shot everything including Jad. It really did make it feel more like a puzzle and it was actually a lot of fun. Great guide man, recommended to a friend!
Congrats on the cape and I'm happy I could help! I always felt like the rcb was overrated for the caves and you would run out of supplies as you got closer to Jad. After 2 or 3 tries of the caves I started to take new apporaches and the msb, looking at the caves like a puzzle (like you explained), and looking at rotations made it so much more fun/easy for me. I'm happy the guide is having the same effect on other people! Good luck with your future challenges 😁
Nice detail that logging out places you in the center of the cave. That can lead to some 54 melee hits from the magers in later waves. Rcb is available from Deranged Archeologist. They drop runite limbs. 69 fletch on an iron is worse than risking a hardcore though.
gearin up physically and mentally to do this on me ironman, remember doing it on the main and @5:10 oh yeah this is what did it. announcing his attacks helps you breathe somewhat normally, regulate that heartrate, and seems for me anyway to increase focus even more
@@xilooften exactly, I don’t know how to explain it! Simply announcing his attacks as they occur seemingly gives me better control and focus over the fight, keeps my mind clear I guess…
Great video! I've played rs on and off for 16 years and never got my fcape. Tried a few times over the years and always failed. Followed your guide and got to Jad first try and then got my cape on my 3rd attempt!! Died first 2 times because I was panicking lol. The 3rd time I focused ONLY on jad prayers and pulled it off with 8 hp tanking healers, focusing only on the prayers definitely helped. By the end of my third run I felt like a pro handling the waves because I followed your vid every time through. Thanks for the cape on my hcim :) Feels so good!
Massive congrats man! It took me 11 years myself to get firecape so I definitely feel you! Happy I was able to help and I’m glad to see that you managed to complete the caves with confidence 😎
You also don’t need to go into the wilderness for a rune crossbow. You can fletch one with a fletching boost @64 fletching - just get a rune limb from any metal dragon that drops one. Pretty fast and easy way to get a rcb
This is true, but if you aren’t a hardcore I’d recommend the crazy arch cause of antifires. Getting the herblore level for them can take a little while. Either way, good shout 😁

My favorite guide so far! I wasn't able to get this cape 10+ years ago but I'm working on getting this with my lvl 59 pure on osrs mobile. Got to wave 40 on my first attempt so it's just trial and error all the way to Jad!

@@Karlsonsk finally can circle back on this thread - i got the cape on my lvl 59 pure on osrs mobile!🕺🏽🙌🏽 Took a few hours because I was constantly logging to look at the rotation map, trying to think through how to lure the enemies. The hardest wave for me was 59 and surprisingly Jad was not that bad because I got the NW spawn. I guess an additional tip that helped me was to run to the NE safe spot to take a breather to calm my nerves, while keeping an eye on Jad to make sure I make the correct prayer switch. I appreciate you for this guide man, one thing I can cross off of my childhood list🤘🏽
Your guide was great! Thanks for killing Jad in normal/mid-level tier gear, too. It gave me the confidence to make it through. Got my fire cape and I'm now ready to take on anything! I usually don’t comment on videos, but this guide was amazing. Made it all the way to Jad and died cause I double clicked Range Pray and got maxed, definitely my fault… BUT I still had 6 prayer pots and 2 range pot doses left. The website you linked is great, and definitely a must use. Gonna try again tomorrow, but thanks for the guide my man! Super straight forward without all the bs expensive gear.

how do u only have 400 subs??? thats crazy!!!!!! cant wait to see u blow! thanks for the video very informative and helpful yet direct to the point. Love it
I would also say take ancient spellbook and use one of the blood spells for healing if you are trying to save on food early. All you need is rune pouch, and ancient staff. maybe a god book as well.
LFG!!!! Congrats on the cape and don’t thank me, I just guided you a little bit. You’re the one who did the cave and took down Jad yourself for the cape 😎
Dude thanks. I've looked at 3 YT "easy fight cave" guides and it's either maxxed combat with BiS raids range gear or AFK waves with Justiciar. Like man, I only just got a black d'hide body by pure luck from a hard clue lol.
Lmao I know the feeling, early ironman is a massive struggle but it picks up crazy fast! You got this in the bag, with black d'hide and a MSB or RCB you'll get the cape if you play it slow and smart. Best of luck and get that cape 😈
I used proselyte legs and helm with d‘hide body and a rune c bow with an unfinished god book on my lvl 79 HC, a tip i brought blood burst to heal up inbetween on the 180‘s and minions and left 4 food for the end saves alot of food. Hope this helps! 👍
@@Karlsonsk I got it!!! Finally! Thank you dude, you said something that a lot of osrs ytubers dont remind us, to use steel skin. I tank'd those mf healers
This guide helped me a ton, was way more comfortable this time. I haven't tried fight caves since I was like 14 lol ended up dying when I was trying to lure the last healer stuck behind jad and didn't switch prayer fast enough but feel a lot more confident for the next try haha
Same exact thing just happened to me... my Jad spawn was in the middle so I had tunnel vision and didn't think to line up the healers. All four of them on me at the same time, had to brew and missed my prayer. GG
@@Karyzn let’s fucking go, that’s awesome! Jad tasks are actually such good slayer xp so this is great for the slayer gains, also the potential pet drop 👀

You got this man! I tried many times on 2 seperate accounts to get my firecape and after meeting Jad 3 different times I finally got it. Just keep on trying and I guarantee you can get it as well; cause if I can get it, you sure as hell can too! 😁
I have the herblore level to make Sara brews now and I won’t even bring myself to use them at godwars dungeon 💀. Definitely cannot blame you for that one lol. Additionally, Sara brews are no where near needed in the fight caves, don’t worry about them unless you are a pure 👍
@@Karlsonsk Cheers, I finished the fight caves with 10 pray pots remaining, I got hit by jad by a 78 though so I was chanced. Before I watched your video I was grinding grubby keys for brews
if you want range pots and you can't make them yet, you can go farm some grubby keys to hit the chest, can get ranging pots from there. Can also get some super restores and brews also.
if u ever make another guide on this a few years down the line i'd recommend showing clips of you kiting the enemies into a safe spot instead of cutting through those to show u attacking. it's way more useful to see how you use the rocks to safespot then to see what u do once you've already done that. so far every guide i've seen just says you can safe spot at certain locations and leaves it at that. tbh though I'm grateful you included a full run in the description im not hating or anything.
Just getting back in RS and thought this would be a great challenge - Added to my favourites, I'll definitely be using this guide! As others have said, most other guides just break down what to bring and not where to stand... Us noobs need help 🙂

I know this guide was meant for irons but i credit this guide for getting me my cape on my 1def pure, learning how to use the rotation map was game changing
Happy the guide could help! The guide is targeted towards ironmen but meant for all accounts! Same rules apply to running the cave, just wanted to use easy to obtain gear to show it can be done on irons 😁
just to chuck this out there you could swap some of those karams for baskets of strawbs. my first firecape on the iron was with p pots, sharks and strawbs.
True, if you got access to strawberries and have high enough highpoints, they actually are better than sharks. They heal 1-6 depending on your hp level, with 67+ healing 5 hp per strawberry and 84+ healing 6. Meaning you can get 25-30 hp from one basket.
Pretty casual player here but I'm working on the fight caves. I forgot that the rotations were a thing but I think I'm gonna imbue my slayer helm and go for a jad task before I check the rotations out.
@@walksamongwolves6910 Definitely a good shout, it’s what I did for my first cape on my main and Ironman, highly recommend it if you have lower stats or are still learning 👍
Yes only use the slayer helm if you are on task. The archer's helm and helm of neitiznot are both better options if you do not have a Jad task :) Good luck on your attempts and get you'll that cape soon 👍
Hey man awesome video thanks for the upload! Will be helpful when trying my first fire cape soon. Quick question.. how do you get the ground/floor of the fight caves orange instead of the default red? It's much easier on the eyes when its orange, like you have in the video.
Lmao I didn't even realize that! I'm happy you found the video useful and I would just like to add your name definitely adds to the situation as well... simply can't be a coincidence.
I just go to Jad for the first time, it took me three hours in game, four hours total with the pausing between some rounds to stretch. I was SHAKING going in. Got to the healer, tagged them all and got them in a line on me and then managed to get jad down to 14 hp when my nerves and excitement got the best of me and I slipped the mouse the smallest bit and missed a prayer... K.O. Was devastated. Finding the motivation to go again is going to be so hard!
This is easily one of the saddest moments in human history 😢. That being said, I’d you made it that far on your first jad attempt, you definitely got the kill bagged your second time around! Good luck on your next attempt and get that cape 😁
I'm assuming you'd want to have a Black Mask or Slayer Helm imbued for running the Caves on task, but you never mentioned being on task so I'm curious if there's any other reason why you'd want to run those other options like the Helm of Neitznot? Never mind, first thing you say in the video of you doing the full run is that you're on task.
All good, I got the question plenty of times! I definitely made that a little confusing, but good thing you got it figured out. Good luck in the caves and I hope you get the cape!
I am currently point boosting to get broad bolts to go to the jad cave. My plan was to use full void + rune CB with broad bolts. Should i rather use full void + MSBI + rune arrows instead?
I personally prefer and recommend the MSBI with rune arrows, but if you want the additional few tiles of range and want to take a little more time with your cave attempt, the RCB with adamant bolts or broad bolts will work just fine too!
It is only BIS if on task, I just put it at the top of the list because it’s most ideal. If you are not on a slayer task your best helmet option is your best range helm, helm of neitiznot, or a mitre 😁
Im lvl 116, 90/99/90 , 85 ranged, 71 pray. So scared to do this still. I just gotta do it, I think this video is going to help me most, gonna give it a try when I have time.
You got this for sure, as long as you manage the waves and use the rotations you could do this in your sleep! Goodluck and get that cape, I know you will 😁
Question: So, I have Helm of Neitiznot (can buy an Archer's helm if needed) and Black d'hide body + Ancient chaps, and barrows gloves. I also have Void Ranger gear. No Slayer helmet or Black mask, and I don't really wanna tackle that grind at the moment. Should I go for the first set, or for the Void?
I would use the helm of neitiznot, black d'hide body, ancient chaps, barrows gloves, snakeskin/shayzien 5 boots. Void is great if you are 92+ range, but before then d'hide is the move 🙂
If it gives you more confidence in the cave to use blood spells then sure! Blood spells are not required by any means to complete the cave, and if you know you are a little slower with switching prayer or are prone to messing up a little, the backup of having blood spells is very nice. You will just have to make sure your magic bonuses are not too low or to bring a mini magic switch to use them. It can be a waste of runes, but if it gets you the cape it is worth it in my book!
@@Karlsonsk Awesome, thanks for all the tips and taking the time to put together this guide! Watching this has definitely made fight caves seem less intimidating 😎
Only has the effect on task. You don’t need a task to do the caves, but it helps a lot with accuracy and damage. If you can’t get a task just swap the black mask out for the best range helmet you got or the neitznot 👍
How many rune arrows should I bring if I have 70 ranged and planning to go with MSB(i)? I'm not the best at LMS and don't wanna dare going bare minimum
No you do not, I was actually on a task while making this video so that is why I wore it. A god d'hide coif, helm of neitiznot, or a mitre are all better options, however the slayer helm does have decent defensive stats if you don't have these other pieces of equipment. Sorry about the confusion, it is only best in slot if you are on task 🙂

I was struggling so much, and after your advice about this rotation map and the shirt bow I did it first try without too much issue. Legitimately the best guide out there, and I’ve watched a few. Thank you so much for the info.
You are very welcome and I am happy the guide helped you out! Congrats on the cape!
Cheers!
Ayyy congrats on the cape and I'm happy I could help! Tell your GIM mates that I wish them the best of luck on their attempts 😎
Thank you and best of luck on your next attempt! Getting jad to 60hp first time doing fight caves is insane, you definitely got it next try!

@@MegaBeast18 You got this, it’s a lot easier once you get in, it’s the anticipation and thought of doing it that gets you lol. Once you’re in and see how simple the waves are to manage, you’ll be a lot more confident. Good luck, good luck, and get that cape 🫡

(And I also followed your instructions by successfully tanking 1 Jad hit :P)
Thank you very much for this awesome guide!
Your welcome and thank you for the feedback! It means a lot knowing I was able to help 😁
I went through a few guides but this is by far the best one I stumbled upon. Making the inferno less intimidating rather than more so. Made my first firecape seem like a breeze, so nowadays I can hold my head up high on the slayer-tasks. Thanks boss!
No problem man, happy I was able to help! Gratz on the cape as well 🙂
I cannot thank you enough!

LFG!!! Congratulations on the cape my dude and I'm happy you found the guide helpful!
Either way, good shout 😁

the crystal bow is highly underrated acurate and strong.
Definitely a good option if you got some spare money, I just don't use it cause of the charge cost.

if u ever make another guide on this a few years down the line i'd recommend showing clips of you kiting the enemies into a safe spot instead of cutting through those to show u attacking. it's way more useful to see how you use the rocks to safespot then to see what u do once you've already done that. so far every guide i've seen just says you can safe spot at certain locations and leaves it at that.
tbh though I'm grateful you included a full run in the description im not hating or anything.
Dont forget to turn on sounds!! Those really helped me too
another good tip is to use runelite's npc indicators plugin, to better see the healers in jad phase

I forgot that the rotations were a thing but I think I'm gonna imbue my slayer helm and go for a jad task before I check the rotations out.

noob questions but do you have to be on a jad task for the slayer helmet to work?
yes you have to be on a task to work
Yes you do, but if you don’t have the helm of neitiznot, archers helm, or a god d’hide coif the slayer helm is still pretty good defensively!

I personally prefer and recommend the MSBI with rune arrows, but if you want the additional few tiles of range and want to take a little more time with your cave attempt, the RCB with adamant bolts or broad bolts will work just fine too!
thanks for the great guide! I just killed Jad and your video was a huge help!
Congrats!!! Happy I was able to help :D
I thought Slayer helm (i) was only bis on task? Or is that only for the regular unimbued ?
@@Karlsonsk Sounds good! Thank you!
@@BouchyBoy No problem and gl on the caves, get that cape!
A little confused. Are we supposed to be on task if we wear the slayer helm?
Yes, only wear slayer helm on task otherwise wear your best ranged item for your head slot!
Just wondering , how is slayer helm (I) worth it over god coif ? I never thought of bringing mine
It’s only better if you are on a slayer task, otherwise just about any range helm is better than the slayer helm, especially a god d’hide coif 😁
Can blood spells help out during the caves to preserve food?
Sure can, but it might be a little expensive!
Is it recommended to bring runes for blood blitz/ blood burst for heals if we have ancients? or is that just a waste of time and runes
Will the black mask take effect even if you dont have a slayer task or do I have to get it as a task first?
Only has the effect on task. You don’t need a task to do the caves, but it helps a lot with accuracy and damage. If you can’t get a task just swap the black mask out for the best range helmet you got or the neitznot 👍
Do you think I could still take him on using broad bolts, full void ?
Yes easily, would just be a little slower of a cave cause the crossbow attack speed 😁
How many rune arrows should I bring if I have 70 ranged and planning to go with MSB(i)? I'm not the best at LMS and don't wanna dare going bare minimum
I’d say 900 if plenty, but if you want to be safe I’d go for like 1200 👍
Why do you recommend black mask/slayer helm? If you're not on task you don't get the boost right?
No you do not, I was actually on a task while making this video so that is why I wore it. A god d'hide coif, helm of neitiznot, or a mitre are all better options, however the slayer helm does have decent defensive stats if you don't have these other pieces of equipment. Sorry about the confusion, it is only best in slot if you are on task 🙂
Got to Jad after 2 hours and i fucking panicked when i saw the healers. Great guide though i will try tomorrow!
Oh man that’s the worst, that being said the same thing happened to me and my very next attempt I got the kill. You got this!
