these tiles were actually so clutch. Thanks a bunch. Can't find jad fight cave tiles anywhere else. I did it on my first try. I constantly kept using the safespot tiles.
im right clicking my minimap and no options come up ive downloaded every plugin with name tile markers.... what am i missing

Instead of using the practice tool, you can go to a Speedrunning world, start Beneath Cursed Sands, use the minigame teleport, and talk to the NPC to the far-east of the caves, you can practice Jad in-game.

This guide got me through Jad. Been playing since 2006 and had never tried for the cape, but your video made it easier. Thank you so much!
Largely thanks to your guide and safe-spots i was able to whoop Jad's butt after 3rd try. It could've been first as i did everything quite well, but ultimately nerves defeated me, and that was after dealing with healers. Anyway, i'd like to leave some minor tips that helped me, which might be useful to someone who reads this.
First off, im not certain if it was mentioned in video above, if it was just ignore this one.
You can determine where Jad will spawn as early as wave 3. How? You need to keep an eye out where the first Blob will spawn. You can simply leave and re-enter the cave if u think his spawn point is not favourable for you. When Blob shows up on the south of the so-called "Italy rock" it's most likely the best spot, as u can safely hide from Jad on north side in order to catch a breath, or lure the healers there, finish them off one by one, and return for 1v1 with Jad. Unless they fully healed him up before you lured them, they will not respawn, and u can simply focus on your prayers and duel with Jad himself.
Second, i suggest you should really try to prepare and calm urself on wave 62 just before wave 63 with Jad, as stress might hit you like a truck even if you were calm and cool so far.
Once again you can safely hide on the north of Italy Rock, leaving one or both of Mage doggies stuck out of range on south.
Personally, i sorted songs on my spotify playlist in order to pick few songs suitable for the boss fight itself (playing on fairly low volume be able to hear game sounds), also i took out a gum to chew on to help dealing with stress (as this cost me my first try), after few minutes of break, equipped my crossbow, diamond bolts and blessed spirit shield, drank saradomin brew to heal above my max health, then restore potion, and finally bastion potion.
Third, You can setup ur F keys (F1-F5 etc.) to switch tabs on keyboard instead of clicking. You can find that in settings -> controls.
For example; i have inventory on F1 and prayers on F2.
Lastly, although i haven't actually used it myself, you can either bring dragon crossbow(its special attack hits multiple targets) or chinchompas if u need an AoE attack to tag healers standing close to Jad.
Once again, haven't tested it myself but apparently it can work.
I bring this up because i have lost my 2nd attempt due to being unable to pull healers away from him properly, so they respawned 2 times after i killed them, and that complicated the whole thing for me. Of course you don't have to kill them - you can tank them, but i'd rather worry about one thing at a time.
This post turned out a little longer than expected, but i do hope someone finds at least some of this additional tips useful. Stay calm and goodluck; you've got this.

I find this incredible. But I did complete a fire cape as a kid. I tried so many times lol. I completed it again as an adult. And recently completed monkey madness 2. I swear if you done MM2 you can beat Jad I promise. I know you say it’s nerves and that really is what it is. You invest an hour or two getting to that fight. And you will probably fail the first time. But just saddle up and do it again and you’ll crush it I promise. It’s a bit of money sure, but you’ll be just fine. The blowpipe having a built in heal goes such a long way.
I think it is worth mentioning that when the ranger and mager both come out that you should prioritize praying vs mage if you can't separate the two.

Thank you for this video, got my cape today and it only took 5 attempts (3 of which got to Jad). In particular your advice at ~24 minutes about doing one thing at a time and focusing on Jad in between was huge for me.

Finally beat Jad after all this time! Your video helped me get very confident getting to Jad without making any mistakes. I was able to safespot Jad on Italy rock and managed to kite all of the healers after taking a huge 81 from missing a prayer! Because I had the safespot I was able to heal and reset while calming my nerves and finished out the run!! Thanks for the vid dude

dude you seriously make the best guides. Almost ever high end pvm guide i've watched on _anything_ the person making it just breezes through everything, assumes you already know most high end concepts, and at least to me it feels like they don't even script out their videos. I just watched a vorkath guide where the guy explained how to wooxwalk by wooxwalking and saying "ya just attack and then click back like that"...
Really appreciate the eli5 approach and I'd love it if you made some raids guides ! You could even milk them into a series where you break down each room etc
only thing ill say is in the plugin section you don't say the _exact_ plugin names. for instance there's at least 3 different plugins that all claim to to provide info on the fight caves waves/rotations. none are called rotation helper
also. i'm trying to use the inferno helper to practice praying jad's attacks although it's a little hard understanding how it works. I've gathered that the blue dot is a magic attack and the green dot is a ranged attack. But what's the window for the prayer being successful? Is there some animation in the webapp that denotes what the next attack will be? To me it seems like once you see the dot it's already too late but I may just be too slow
edit: nvm i figured it out. for those wondering when he spins thats a magic attack and when he rocks back and forth that's a ranged attack

Man I got flamed and joked on when I died on my 4th try back in the day. I left my guild and joined another and got the fire cape on my 5th try 1.5 years ago. Just got a slayer task to do Jad and watching your video and knowing people struggled is the best feeling.
The best tip I have is: Once at Jad, keep your nerves in check! Thats the biggest wipe factor
Ty a lot my friend, just got it after 3 attempts. Here some reasons i died:
I came to close to the meele range of the mage npc (he hits a lot), and i dont know if its bugged, but always pray mage even before you see the mage, he has an incredible long range.
The second time i died was because i killed the healer and didnt know they respawn, if you kill them to slow (i think they dont respawn if you kill them before they heal jad all the time)
The best tips for jad was for me: Always pray range because its one tick faster and you cant hear it, its easier to pray against mage.
Do one action per pray like in the video and most important, USE A SHIELD, IT HELPS SO MUCH EVEN RUNE SHIELD !!!

This helped me get my first ever fire cape with relatively low stats. My only advantage was 99 prayer. But completed with 61 range and 45 def, with 48hp

I'd love to do a very dedicated "pathway" guide however it would likely take a lot of time effort and planning and doing that on-top of my full time job.

Thanks for saying it took you 12 attempts. TBH I got really discouraged after ~4 attempts and I haven't tried it since - it's kind of a slog. I find it really easy to get to jad, but then I slip up and get 1 shot *every time* when the healers come out. Appreciate the guide. I felt like it shouldn't have taken me 4 attempts/ have been feeling like I'm just bad, even though that's silly - hearing that it took you 12 attempts helps.

Killing Jad in the SW rotation is much easier than what is suggested in this guide.

I decided to do this the way i did back in the day, guthans.
finally got a jad task and coming back to this guide. Is karil's really preferable to god d'hide? for the fight caves? you get like +4 or something ranged defense, the magic defense is more than likely useless. you also lose a fairly significant amt of melee defense (10-15 in each style) which matters against the healers which is probably the biggest choke point in the run. plus u lose out on 2 prayer bonus which isn't a ton but over 90 minutes 6.666% extra prayer points seems significant
I would probably take a veracs helm/skirt instead if you're looking for more prayer and durability

Unfortunately you have to add individually or you can right click highlight them when you first fight them on each wave and then they will all be highlighted moving forward

How did you get your screen to flash red when jad switched attacks?
Hey, so it wasn't actually flashing on Jad's attack, it was flashing because my health/prayer was low and just letting me know I should fix that
The best thing I ever did was to just put a little sticky note on my desktop that just has a short list of what to pray which wave and that was all. Not every wave, just when to change or when prayer isn’t needed at all.
I use speedrunnimg worlds to do dragon slayer 2, then go minigame tzhaar teleport. and can do solo jad challenge to practice tick eating.

Watched some of this since i took a 4 year break and needed some advice on weapons and some other stuff for my 62 cb firecape(i got it first attempt, was a 2hr cape lmfao) if you cannot get a fire cape with this guide then my next comment to you will get me community guidelined😂

I think the tips from this guide you should be able to do do this, the only difference would be I suggest trapping the healers behind jad rather than tanking them
how do u switch between tabs so quickly? I usually mess up because im manually clicking the tabs to eat and switch prayer

Could you do a vid on the optimum farming run routine?
I think this might be a bit too situational, some people only do tree runs, others do only herb runs. Some people do all allotments and bushes.
I'd suggest going on the wiki and figuring out the patches/areas you wish to go for and then figuring out the closest teleport to each one.

You are right about the healers wrecking noobs. I’ve made 3 attempts at jad with 60 defense and the healers keep shitting all over me lol. Even just one healer is enough to take me out.
I know there’s a way to get them away from you but I can’t remember how to do it
the more fire cape tutorials I watch the less confidence I have that I can get the fire cape.
I know it's a big jump, but you can 100% do it!
I have made the experience when the healer stay close to jad, the will still heal him. Why does this work for you ?
If they are still healing him they either aren't aggro'd onto you, or they are still within 1 tile of jad
So if I die in there I will lose all my items right? Awesome guide btw!
Fight caves is actually a safe death, so if you die you simply respawn outside the cave.
The exception to this is if you're a group Hardcore ironman

You don't need to run back in. You spawn outside with all your stuff.

done fight caves so many times decided to go for i on my iron man....i got killed by healers hitting 10's so consistently xD

While doing fight cave, I was drinking a whiskey and coke to fight my anxiety. Got to Jad and the healers came out, tagged all of them. Jad is at 30hp now and seconds later, I forget Jad attacks and flicked the wrong prayer, boom mage attacked me a 59, then I flicked range and boom he stood….and I sat down…so dissapointed. My heart is beating quicker than a rabbit can get it in. SMH* hahahahahhaha FML

Theres a video about that. Back in the day haxunit figured out a way to glitch multiple people into fight caves and whoever dealt the final blow to jad got the cape. So they had a lvl 3 with them and delivered the final blow and it worked. Not sure if its related but im assuming it is since idk how tf they would get it otherwise lol
I don't know how I'm gonna do this. At lvl 52 or 53 the mages melee you as well. Can't pray melee and mage at the same time.
Utilize Italy Rock against the melee guys and get them stuck. Focus on them then the mage

Armadyl isn't worth the gold cost it's more or less the same as d'hide
