Our VRF Grab Bags (GB) videos are compiled from content from our cameras as Mods and fans spot something neat while watching our cameras. In the GB you will, of course, find a variety of TRAIN content, special trains, maintenance, steam, diesels, interesting rail cars, cool paint schemes and more. You will also find fun people, city events, boats, planes, cars (sometimes going wild) and nature. Thank you for taking the time to sit back and enjoy these highlight reels that we call "Grab Bags"!
Once again, thanks for the 57 Varieties of Freight Cars tonight VRF. Also, the Switching at Cocoa Fl. was good to see and the Shortline at Chehalis. But I loved seeing BJRY 1501 at Burlington, doing just what she was built to do.
Wow! Excellent catching all the in multiple locations, especially the UP military train in Hesperia, California, an adorable raccoon in Fort Madison, Iowa, Heritage Units, and so much more, I like them, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much.
I loved the raccoon too, and it was really nice to see Hesperia again.
@@donnaj9964 Yep.
At 8:03, nice look at a common bird, the European Starling. Their bills turn yellow during the breeding season.
Good pic, but the Starling is an Invasive Species that are more aggressive than native birds, taking up nest sites from other birds. They also can damage crops, fly in large flocks that can disrupt jet aircraft engines, and can spread Histoplasmosis.
Can he carry a coconut when he migrates?:)
@@renegadetenor No, but they've been known to carry those small 'suitcase' Nukes....😲😬😉🙃
Awesome more exciting VR Grab Bag my favorite train show
on RUclips have a wonderful night everyone.🇺🇲🚂🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲
That BNSF Red Caboose looked awesome.
@user-bb3yv8dy7q: A clean NS red caboose with an old-style N&W herald went through Roanoke behind a short, all-gon consist a bit before 1:00 am on May 11.
NS 'Lackawanna' Heritage Unit and CSX 'Pere Marquette' Heritage Units both looking pretty pristine. The Burlington Junction switcher looks mighty sharp in dress red and white.
Yeah I know
The little red engine that could!
Great Video, a super long Amtrak train.👍👍👍👍
As usual you have captured a wonderful storm with lightning! AWESOME!!!! 🌩️🌩️🌩️🌩️⚡⚡⚡⚡👍❤️📹😃
I think heritage paint schemes are one of the best things the railroads have done. In the modern age of unit trains and graffiti covered boxcars it has made train watching exciting again.
LOL passenger train with a DPU at the beginning :P
Looking at the accident; I think the car was at fault too. Sure the truck was in the intersection on a red, but all lights stay red for a few seconds before changing, so that car was intending on running the red regardless.
16:16 that is the Inland Plywood Company which makes plywood products, and they regularly have boxcars delivered. I don't know if they are delivering plywood or being loaded with plywood products.
150mph? Wowowow, must be some great rail!
0:09 Combined Lake Shore Limited and Capitol Limited, they combined in Cleveland for the rest of the way to Chicago
0:58 CN 6017 is classified as an SD40-2Q, which is a 1990s rebuilt of an SD40. CCGX 5313 is an SD40-2 that was most likely an ex-CP unit

25:40 high-speed Northeast Reigonal. The ACS64 can only reach speeds of 125mph, but that's still pretty fast!
150 mph??? Holy wow! I had no idea that KCS de Mexico was a thing until I looked it up just now, and while I was at it I looked up the "kitty litter" cars...yup: full of kitty litter. I thought it might be some kind of railroading in-joke...I'm glad the Kearney starling appeared to be okay after brushing the cam, really enjoyed the OKC lightning, and absolutely *loved* the wave-boogity-boogity-boogity at 1:22! Another great one---thank you!
Hi Rocky!🐾🐾🤎
6:15 the best heritage unit to ever exist
Hmm, dunno that I'd term it best ever, but yes, it is attractive, and moreso from where I live along ex-MoPac now UP tracks.
@@scottfw7169 it’s the best
Have anyone else heard that CPKC officially released their new livery for the locomotives. If you just asked me they should have painted it into the awvr theme they used in unstoppable
16:00 Anyone else think those cars were derailed?
And 150 MPH is the speed which I would run away from that Skunk (24:30).... 😉🙃😷
that was a raccoon,
9:55 Unbelievably, this one is 50/50, although the truck did run the red, it looks like the grey car actually ran the red too? The light technically wouldn't have gone green yet for the other sides. Jumping the green I guess?
A collision involving an Ego Truck? Noooo waaaaay!
5:56, There's the Lackawanna heritage unit NS 1074!
14:58 sounds like a septa silverliner k3la horn
It does.
@@lancomedic wow
Well pickup truck driver did have the red light 🚦
did Virtual railfan submit the footage to the police?
I disagree, the semi had the red light and it was waiting. So the pickup driver had the green light and the car ran the red, in my opinion.
Interesting might have had a longer light
we can see the lights in the video. pickup entered on yellow 2 seconds before it turned red. the sedan ran a red or is exteremly dumb to try and accerelate towards a red light hoping it turns green before you enter the intersection
14:57 nobody gonna mention the triceps cab
I see 29 & 49 hooked up again
Amfleet I cars are only good for 125 mph. Only Acela is allowed up to 150 mph. At least that was true last I heard.
You are correct, our info was wrong.
*Awesome Catches*
1:40 THATS ME AND MY FIANCE
Nice!
Awesome
Another great video by Virtual Railfan!
Realy the guy in the pick up pass on the red light, thanks for all
Good Morning 🚂🚃Friends👋🏻
A BIG Rocky Raccoon 🦝 ?
Is that what that was? I thought it was a badger with that snout and tail.
@@lancomedic Naw badgers are kinda flat looking
9:55 is what your looking for
Swift trucks always showing up to photo bomb wrecks 🤣
So much main line action, BNSF motor was blasting out diesel exhaust/rolling coal!🛤🚂
10:00. This is why we STOP when the amber light shows......
You missed a grab bag/ Darwin award in Folkston GA a couple of days ago a walker crossed under a stoped train and shortly after another one came on the second track
25:40 That is NOT 150 MPH. The ACS64 can only do 126!
Enjoy The Double Link of Lakeshore & Capital Limiteds ! The Bird Said I have a right for my picture time ! Raccoon say don’t bother me I’m hungry 😂😂
How come on the live cams all views aren't available anymore?
VRF Members only
It didn't used to be that way
It was a decision made by VRF to place secondary cameras as members only.
When I quit my RUclips membership the static cams went away
...Are you QUITE certain those Amfleets were doing 150? Because I really can't tell.
Sorry, we had some bad info, more likely 125 or less.
either the green is really quick or both ran a red light.
What's going on with that first clip? Lake Shore Limited giving the Capital Limited a pull into Chicago?
One of them is probably very late, so they run them together so that both trains can occupy the same block, making up time
The camera got griddled.
awk is doing camera Maintenace
У нас бы за съёмку перемещений военной техники посадили
it's not the car's fault!
it's not the truck's fault!
it's the asphalt!
Hi VR!
These cameras must be a great help to the police when they record the car crashes.
Officer: "Are you going to stick with that story?"
Driver: Yes sir! The other driver ran the red light. I'm suing him for all he's worth. I'm on the phone with my lawyer now."
Officer: "Oh, really? According to Virtual Railfan, you ran the red light while talking on your phone after you blew across the active railroad crossing."
Driver: "Uhh...uhh..."
Lawyer on phone: "Don't say another word. And expect a big bill from me."
08:01 !!!!
Bnsf is getting rid of bunch loco
White truck is at fault
Amtrak Regional does not do 150, Acela does.
Both vehicles at fault. Car looked like he was taking a big chance pre-guessing the light.
Clearly the light was red before the pickup crossed the stop line. Trucks mostly at fault. You might argue speed on the car, but depending on type of insurance in that state.
Looks like someone doesn't know what a red light means😳
is the raccoon trespassing ?
The car accidentally speed fast through the red light and the truck should of stopped at the red light and got an accident
Actually, if you slow it down a zoom in, the red light changed from yellow to red for the white pickup. He ran the red...trucks at fault. Depending upon the state insurance law, if Contribulatory Negligent, you might argue speed on the car, but the car did have the legal right of way.
I know that intersection VERY well. And trust me, people run that red light all day long.
I think you meant 'should have'
Not 'of'

It is very important. Only to you.

that Amtrak is a mismatch of cars … there should be good planning so the train is easy on the eyes …
