I was a security officer for multiple private security companies for a thirty-six year period from 1984 to 2020. One of my long-term permanent assignments was to be an officer at the local Amtrak station for a ten year period. I saw all kinds of trains including Amtrak, freight and military with a large assortment of railroad cars, but my favorite trains were those that had either private railroad cars or cabooses..one train had TWO private railroad cars attached to each other plus a caboose at the end. The private railroad cars had a crest of nobility and were from Canada and on two other occasions trains came through with private railroad cars..all of these cars were approximately 50-100 years old meaning that they had been in the owner's family for a long time. The cabooses were atttached to then end of the train and the men inside waved at us. The passengers that I saw pass through the staion were quite a variety, many with stories that ranged from how they survived historical events(eg. Pearl Harbor) to just ordinary life. Thanks for reminding me of that wonderful time. Take care.
That seaboard was loaded with Amazon intermodal coming from customs. Also that "Air Raid" siren is the local fire department siren to alert volunteers to get to the station and gear up.
Nothing tells you better about the health and status of independent Mom & Pop businesses in the U.S. when you see a double stack intermodal fly by and the majority of the consist are Amazon shipping containers.
You have a very active area there. Thanks for sharing all this footage. It was great to see caboose on the end of those trains. It is a shme they do not get used properly anymore. As a kid i enjoyed waving to the conductor when they would be out on the back platform.
I have power trains in a blue bag that's somewhere in my bedroom, but I also have a Linol train set that my grandfather gave me when I was around 3 years old. In the past, my mom and grandparents took me to a train museum to see alot of different trains of various sizes and models.

When I lived in Moore, OK, a tone would go off on the Radio when Amtrak was preparing to leave the station. Everybody from the Moore yard south, found a siding real quick and pulled off the mainline. By the time Amtrak hit the Moore yard, he was doing at least 55 mph and clearly not planning on stopping. The station was about 15 miles north of Moore on the edge of downtown not far from the baseball stadium. No moss was growing on those wheels!
Great catches as usual. Enjoyed seeing the Seaboard System heritage unit...I am here in Virginia....in old Seaboard territory. Keep up the good work.....and ROLL IT !
I like the way the engine and cars bounce when the hit the bumps in the rails. That one train had the hammer down as he was moving on. I wonder if they had to rework and of he tunnels so they could get double stack through them? that caboose is something you don't see much and more on trains. Thanks for a outstanding video, I love train videos. (Mississippi Gulf Coast, USA).
The autorack train needed to wait for the conductor to WALK all the way back up to the head end after making the connections after coupling back onto the rest of the train. Still cool to have two trains overtake him. Hope you had a good Father's Day Mike.
1st, wow! Excellent catching all the trains in Dunkirk and Pomfret, New York, I like them, they're awesome, @WideWorldofTrains, Mike, thank you very much.
we had to wait for a long csx train. fridayaugust 16th. on main street in plymouth michigan. as i was driving to tim hortons. also saw a young man filming the train with his i pad.we were the front car in the right lane. at brodies resteraunt..
It amazes me how much speed these diesel engines can pull these days. Back in the 60's and 70's when I was growing up that would have taken 20 minutes more than likely.
When you saw the other train coming, you should have gone to the other side of the track. The through train will block the view of the switching train from the original side because it is right in your face, but if you cross then you will still see the switching train a ways off yet also get to see the through train as well.
2:41 I am having fun watching Some Different Freight Trains USA Going past and I really enjoyed your long range view of The CSX AND CP Freight trains and you are the best RUclipsr ever
It would've been even more interesting than watching the back of the passing train to see the switch shift to the side-track for the waiting train to move.
I really enjoy the videos and the enthusiasm. If I may, a little feedback, the camera pointed to the ground should be edited out. If you run Windows, Clipchamp is pretty easy to use. Keep up the great work!!!
On the thumbnail looks like the first train about to switch but the second train going straight the second train is about to get cooked💀💀💀💀💀💀 edit: I got a heart from the creator. I’m so happy!!!!

Love watching train videos keep it coming 46 years old and still love watching on video or up close 😁😁
Thanks! I’m glad you enjoy the videos.
Miss seeing the old cabooses at the trains end
.they always waved at us as they passed!
Me too I have about seventy five caboose videos on youtube
Even as a kid I always enjoyed seeing trains switch tracks. Thanks for the entertaining video.
Glad you enjoyed
The siren is for the Fire Department. In small rural towns they call the volunteers with that type of siren.
That seaboard was loaded with Amazon intermodal coming from customs. Also that "Air Raid" siren is the local fire department siren to alert volunteers to get to the station and gear up.

If I lived there, I'd be sitting near those tracks all day. You've got a switch AND a crossing! That's cool.
Siren took me back 60yrs ago. Long blast would have been for a tornado in the alley, short would have been lunchtime in small town middle America
I remember the 12 o'clock noon whistles.
When I was in Rochester, I would go to Fairport and was always amazed how fast they came through the crossing.
A caboose is a very rare sight these days. Two cabooses, even rarer!
Rare as Rocking-Horse shit!!!!!!
Cabeese?

Here in Calera Alabama, the siren would be for bad weather or for the weekly test.
Wow! That CSX train is really moving!
That 2nd train was almost all Amazon carriages. Hello from Queensland Australia. Happy belated Father's Day, we celebrate ours in September.
Thanks! Happy Father's Day!
@@WideWorldofTrains Thanks, I'll pass it onto Dad. 😀

Всегда было интересно наблюдать как поезда переходят с одного пути на другой, и обгоняют друг друга.
Amazing Catches With the Seaboard System Heritage Unit on CSX I003👍

Air raid siren was used by our small town to call in the volunteer fire department and paramedics when needed. It would only go off once.

I like how you provide a running commentary. It makes the video all that more interesting.
Pretty neat train meet with the seaboard system. I saw the CSX I104 with 1982 leading with those same 3 engines the day before
Amazes me the length of trains you guys have. Here in NZ a 20 wagon train is big. Lol

When you stand next to the gaurd rail and when the train horn blows long that is a back away horn but I call it the liss of horn
I love trains, I grew up living next to a train yard
Looks like it ended up a triple meet.
That siding switch looks to be a pretty tight curve.
Tornado siren!! Head for cover!!!!

That's a whole lot of Amazon deliveries
Siren probably having an incoming tornado
