You too!!! LOL!!!. I love watching these in the middle of the night when I can't sleep. If you have a large monitor and lean in close, you'll swear you're riding the train.
I travel between Stockholm and Gothenburg (Göteborg in swedish) severel times every year and i love it! Train is the best way to travel, relaxing!😊❤
Amazing! Train is the best option🤩😆
Never ceases to amaze me how quiet smooth and fast rail is in most of Europe. Such a difference from N America. Over here the most commonly replaced part in a loco is the air horn. Because they are leaning on it every 2 minutes.
The major reason is that this route he is running has no railway crossings anymore.
@@acmenipponair Yes I realize that. In Europe they are sensible enough to realize the only way to idiot proof the interaction of rail and automobiles, its to ensure it happens as little as possible. Here? The Automobile rules. And many people die every year because they think they are faster than the train, and they can see a path around the blockades (if any exist that is).
On the other hand, our Swedish trains stop operating when there is a leaf on a track or a little bit of snow.
A third common reason is migrants who steal copper wires and stop traffic. We call them zigenare.
On the bright side, American trains derail every second day while our trains tend to stay on the tracks.
One of the most critical parts of true high-speed rail is complete grade separation from any other traffic, so horns aren't needed, because there's no crossings, at all.
You have Brightline now in Florida and looks pretty nice..
After a good joint full screen and the traveling without moving begins. Stay safe, big thnx for the trip👍🏿🙂♥️🚂
Thoroughly enjoyed my trip through good farming land and timber forests at a steady but safe speed. Sweden has certainly some delightful scenery and some parts reminded me so much of parts of the UK and also of my time living in New Zealand in the North Island. A lovely video and thank you for providing me with an interesting ride on a very smooth express train.
awesome and amazing cockpit view of this great express±
I can't believe how smooth the ride appears to be.... the rails are so straight, no gaps between the joints... amazing.
There are no joints its continuous welded rail.
Thats gold filigree laid into the handle
"joints" - the only joints most European tracks nowadays have are at switches.
@@acmenipponair I think I"ll have to disagree with you, that would almost be impossible. There are joints, it's how the joints are joined together, matched and welded some how. I've seen how they are "cad welded" in the states and I used to cad weld in the electrical field to ground buildings.
@@jayharder2598 There is another type of expansion joint for long welded rails, it is a longitudinal oblique shunt which causes expansions or retractions to take place in a sliding manner. This is why the rides are very smooth.
I’ve done this trip in Summer and Spring…loved it.
wonderful video...Thx from Germany
Really enjoyable journey but, I would like the speed of the train showed and the signal and sign meanings.
Beautifull landscape and amazing technology. Thanks from France.
Thanks for this. I thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The country side, the towns, the stations and rail yards, every bit. Now I want to take this trip in person!
This is another awesome cab ride across the most beautiful
scenery ever in Sweden thank you.🇸🇪🇸🇪🚈🚋🚋🚋🚋🇸🇪💨
Interesting journey with the change in weather. Thanks for doing this. 😁

The pre-spring weather in Sweden can be somewhat..tricky. and confusing.

Good ride..=)
Fantastisch super Aufnahmen Danke für die schöne bilder ....Greetings from Germany Cologne....my Trip San Francisco / Chicago with amtrack ❤❤❤❤
Great video! Wish our trains were this fast and smooth.
the trains in Sweden still drive in the left side like the road traffic did until 1967.
Smooth ride
YEAH!
Awesome 🇸🇪😀
Super ❤️💯
I watch cab view train videos from all over the world (one of my favorite things 2 do) and there isn't an ugly continent or country, but the Scandinavian nations are one of my favorite places to see the world from the rails.
A good work, greetings from Enghien in Belgium
Nice ride and quite too. Good job
We’re glad you liked it!
this is excellent! 🤩 just discovered this channel and subbed!
Thank you for the support!
Blizzard ... RailCowGirl: hold my beer 😂

Sympa ce voyage en pays Viking, et paradis du Death Metal (Bloodbath, Entrails, Grave . . .) Beau pays et merci pour le voyage.
Thank you for the support!
WOW! Sweden looks so developed! And with those cute little red houses. :)
Makes me realize why the Scandinavian folks settled Minnesota.
Wow i like that
I’m a new subscriber watching from HONOLULU HAWAII USA 🇺🇸
And THIS is the X2000 class electric consist that Amtrak resisted over the Acela. As usual, the American railroad system falls behind.
Good video! ciao ciao from Italy! Like and sub
I just love the European Rail Systems.
Not really European, more Scandiwegian.
@@petergaskin1811 Its European. Enough said.
Seeing the graffiti art on the side it felt more like Jersey than Sweden. Great views!!
Too bloody cold!
This sim is amazing! lol
2:47:17 Västlänken bridge, not in use yet
Interesting that trains drive on the left in Sweden !
It's a carryover from the old convention that applied to the road system as well.
The roads were changed to right hand in 1968 was it? And there may still be some awkward spots, like the roundabout south of Skanstullsbron in the Hammarby district of Stockholm. I used to have to pass through there by motorcycle back in the 1980s and it still gives me the shivers.
I have never been in Sweden and this is the first cabview experience that I have seen of your country. I must say that I am impressed. The ride is extremely smooth, I have seen only a few level crossings, near Stockholm construction seems to have blasted quite a few hills to make way for the tracks (my topographical knowledge is lacking I thought Sweden was mainly hilly inland and not near the coast) and overall it is an idyllic picture to look at with the countryside moving past.
There are a few odd things looking at this footage from my Dutch perspective. First trains drive on the left, I assume this is a remnant of the past? Very few station on the line (maybe this is the high speed line and there are other more rural lines or the Swedish interior is very sparsely populated?). And some discontinued small railyards which always hurts my soul, I assume there was more rail traffic way back when and that most of it moved to trucks.
Overall a beautiful depiction, thank you.
Why don't they have train systems like this in the USA, we're the richest country in the world , yet we have one of the worst rail systems in the world. Really sad. Sweden is a beautiful country, and Kudos to the person filming this Video.😊
You seem to prefer your Rams, Yukons etc
"yet we have one of the worst rail systems in the world." we have a biggest and best freight systems on the planet! Go take a plane if you want
Thank you for the support😊
Because the big auto manufacturers, 60 years ago didn't want people rail transport, so they could sell more cars, to run on government provided interstate highways, 80 years ago in the north east, bus companies drove the tram companies out of business
Because of the environmental impact of losing all that green space that wouldn't be able to recycle the carbon monoxide. Not to mention the fact that politicians can't build anything without making. It cost billions of dollars and taking 1020 years to complete. Remember Obama wanted to start at California's been working on what the same rail system they've spent billions of dollars for 15 years and they finally stop doing it. Besides, why would I want to take a train from? Ohio to California, who wants to go to California?
I would just take a plane.
Yable fan! Looks like a scene from the girl with the dragon tattoo
That ain't slow. That's cooking along pretty good there. Puts me to sleep, though.
💯👍
This makes me think of the thousands of Swedish immigrants, many of whom likely followed this same path on their way to Gothenburg, to depart for the US, Canada and elsewhere.
That is real high speed rail so much better than the US
Must be from Florida! Blizzard? Riiiight!
Den där tiden i Sverige är ju så vacker
Ha gärna hastighetsmätare i film
Uh where’s the blizzard. Nice video
I have noticed that as well … my travels within Europe .. have revealed a lot .. American economy is based on profit margins however In European countries it’s the service provided most is government subsidized
why are there 4 rails every time they enter/exit a tunnel? starts with a little "V" shape and its almost like dual gauge but its ONLY in the tunnels. Ive tried to google it but im coming up short. Beautiful country, looks a lot like home. i need to visit sometime. going to be watching more of these
They are there because of if the train derails, the wheels are still in tact with the rail which prevents accidents. It’s the same on bridges😊
Nice 😊
but where is the “ blizzard 🥶 “?
Nice video - but I didn't see any blizzard, just a bit of snow with minimal accumulation.
I have a question, are the points (switches you might call them there) heated? I only ask because it seemed to me that though there was snow covering all the sleepers and surrounding areas right up tot the rails, the points seemed very clear?
Thank you for your question! Yes that’s correct. Nice spotting😊
Great video !
What is this train's average speed ?
😎
Hi! I just scrolled past here, no real connection to trains. The X2000 trains operate at up to 200 km/h. This trip covers 398 km (according to sources) and takes 2:58 h, for an average on this trip just under 140 km/h.
Looks like 80 mph
@@DommoPA
200 km is 120 mph
I love, ABBA.
Not very good / bright aspect signals , I would think have I passed one red or have I . Nice ride , too quick for me , I’m trying to see everything but can’t 😜😜😜👌
What kind of a Blizzard was that - in Sweden ???
28:20.....whoop.....there it is.......
I have a question: is etcs Level 3 installed on the route or what train protection system is running on the express routes in Sweden?
We run ATC2 on most of our rail in Sweden. There is a little ETCS up north but I think it’s lvl 2
Geo-location question. American Railfan who relaxes to Scandinavian rail videos. Also love to spot locations and use @Google Maps to find rail side intrigue. At 09:35, train passes a Catena building. I research to discover the Catena Wireless Co. But cannot seem to pinpoint the coordinates for this location. Would it be possible or bad form to ask Publisher to update the Description page to include geographical markers? Example: 00:00:00 Start, 00:09:37 “Catena Building location”, 02:43:58 Partille Ststion, etc? Such wonderful fun and relaxing learning! Thank you
Nice video, but not much of a blizzard.
You gotta be in southern France if that's what you call a blizzard
what was that beeping noise? Was that to wake up the driver if he starts nodding off?
We need to smooth train travel in the United States some of the train tracks in the United States are in Rough
16:37 why did they stop? It was out in the middle of nowhere. no one getting on or off.
How many tunnels are there anyway 😮
Should the need arise, I am quite confident after watching this, I can take over for the engineer…..
What a beautiful journey. The landscape reminds me quite a lot about Russia.
Interesting🤩 are you from Russia?
@@SwedishRailcam Sure am! Nice to meet you. I have a few train videos on my channel,. but nothing as awesome as you!
pls post night snow train drive videos for insomnia therapy
Awsome Video I Subscribed u chanal cheers from netherlands
How fast is the train moving?
Het ligt daar veel properder dan in België. Ze hebben daar meer respect voor de natuur blijkbaar.
I noticed there are no fences on the sides of railroad when passing through forests. How are technically solved the accidents with crossing forest animals? It may be a really devastating encounter even for a train.
How fast are they going...looks like 150KPH...
Anyone know why the train almost come to a complete stop for one train I saw pass, but many others the train didn’t slow down?
No blizzard at all!
How fast is this traveling ?
thats not a blizzard, not even a snowstorm.
it looks like a snowstorm due to the speed of the train.
What is the speed of this train?
Where's the beef... urrr I mean Where's the BLIZZARD???
INTO THE BLIZZARD
Blizzard ?
Is this sped up? If not that train is going well in excess of 100 mph.
200km/h even. About 125mph
Where was the blizzard
Blizzard? Where?
do euro trains not have to blow the horn when they cross intersections? Pretty big deal in the USA.
Only if the intersection is non guarded i.e no barriers. However most of cross intersections have been rebuilt to be seperated by bridge/tunnel. Atleast thats how it works in Sweden, do not know about the rest of Europe...
Its a safety mandate in the usa
And where is the blizzard?
Alingsås ska stavas med ett L :)
That's hardly a blizzard. If it were, you wouldn't be able to see 10 feet in front of you and it would be a complete white out. THAT'S WHAT A BLIZZARD IS.
how come we don't have this in America?
