The car at 4:30 hit the leading edge of the curb. Those sparks were due to the curb ripping something up under the car like the oil pan, or maybe the suspension.
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains in multiple locations, especially the Heritage Units, CSX military train in Cumberland, Maryland, and so much more, @Virtual Railfan, thank you very much and have a wonderful weekend.

Every year we have a new crop of young drivers that have to learn so much more than they know from Driver’s Ed. And every year we have another crop of old drivers that need to give it up but won’t do it.
I don't understand what you are saying. Once the older drivers are gone, the roads will be unsafe for all drivers. Cars are safe, so that means that people need to be safe behind the wheel.
I was coming up fast on this car in a passing lane location. As I was getting ready to pass him, he cuts me off. I pass him on the right and I had plenty of time to pass him safely. The teacher was saying something to him and pointing at me. Was he telling him that I'm a bad driver because I was going the speed limit and didn't want to wait for him or was he telling him that he should have stayed over there. Btw, I was in a semi with a 53' trailer. He was going so slow that I passed him very quickly and I had over 50' of room behind me. He was so close to me when he cut me off that I would have had to slam on my brakes before I hit him. I was always taught if you can't keep up with traffic, let them around you. I'd always find a place I could slow down and get them around so they could be on their way.
Part of the issue, especially for older folks who grew up when the car was still a ‘new’ thing, is that it’s just HARD to quit. You were raised with this thing and lived your whole life using it, but now you can’t anymore. Happened to my grandma, my mom had to take the keys away to stop her from driving.
It's the same in other countries too. Few people remember that its a privilege to be allowed to drive a killing machine around on open roads, it not a right! This is especially true with the ever increasing numbers of them.
@@roccolawson6703the older drivers are the most dangerous drivers. So no the roads will be much safer. In fact after the age of 80 it should be revoked because your handling and reflexes are about 10x slower. Not to mention stuff like untreated dementia and Alzheimer’s making elders drive on the wrong side of the road.
With only seconds to spare they were so busy wanting to save their car that a few moments and they would have lost their life. They didn't even THINK to get out of the car and save themself. This time they were very lucky. And next time?
From the mouths of infants… small boy watching two intermodals passing in opposite directions: "Daddy, why don't they just leave them where they were instead of swapping them over?"
10:34 Guy got honked at for starting to go, which made him stop dead on the tracks, then the green light went away. Quite a few things going on here, but definitely the green light was too short. Honker also just gave up on him and straight up left.
What are 3 Orange County CA metrolink commuter train cars doing in Missouri? BTW those are the old ones that are being phased out. They are not safe in crashes...
As dumb as that situation was, the traffic pattern there is very poor. The light should not have turned green as the gate is already going down. That should happen before the crossing activates.
He/she should have ignored the person honking the horn and kept going. The car horn spooked him and he stopped to see what was going on. Still, not a bright driver.
Those flashing lights mean something 🤔? A gate arm comes down on top of the car 🚗? 2 car lengths to the track and you STILL DON'T UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON 🤔😮😫???
I guess the guy in the white pickup couldn't believe his eyes that anyone could be THAT dumb at a crossing, so he had to walk up to the car to see for himself.
I learned something from Joe Peach today. BNSF has more than one geometry car. I have seen 2 or maybe more. But one of them has more solar panels than the other.
Go around and just take random footage of random things and slap it all together and upload it to RUclips. Then come up with some totally misleading title and a thumbnail that gets people to think that it might be worth watching. This is one of those. I won't be back.
I get as mad as Hades when the clips are sped up and cut away when the cam is zooming and out. Wait till cam has stopped zooming in and out before going to next clip. AND NO MORE SPED UP VIDEOS.😡😡😡😡

Very great catches especially the Western Maryland.
I vote yes on the outgoing music. 🎸 👍🏻

Wow, Metrolink cars in LaPlata! I don't know what I'd do if I saw them in Florida or New York.
Hi Virtual Railfan & it's is Randy and i like yours video is Cool & Thanks Virtual Railfan & Friends Randy

👋👏

That's interesting seeing an open platform passenger car with a door to other passenger cars
Meteor = awesome

It appears to be some kind of fan

They are being refurbish and repainted by amtrak im sure amtrak going make sure those passenger car will be safe before returning them to metrolink
Not necessarily Orange County...Metrolink also runs in LA County FYI.
It's lucky that those bridges (like at Fort Madison) have enough space to accommodate the double stacks. If not, double stacks would be unworkable.
Godzira in Georgia run for the train!
Too impatient to wait for the train. Then, when they get it, it's "There wasn't enough warning!"
Whoopee - Western Maryland.
What song was that during the military train? Wow.
Gee, was that a case of they almost missed the station in La Plata?
WTH in Austell, GA? Why aren't traffic lights synced with crossing signals? Traffic signal turns green while crossing lights are flashing!
You're right. That's odd. Everywhere I have lived, lights automatically changed when a train was coming near.
They seem to be synced, which is why the green was given within about 5 seconds of activation...
25:25 Never seen a horn manifold that high, interesting
The guy who got out of the car at Austell was probably admonishing that driver for being so careless and dangerous.
Or checking to see if the driver was okay, or both.
20:30, was that a no-grainer on the K line?
A good chance they were Frac sand cars headed back to Illinois or Wisconsin
Really powerful of United States - very long military train 🇺🇸✊
12:28, Huh! Only one container car?!
Wondering if wwot saw it and why it’s so short for 2 locomotives.

@@lelandnanny967 They panicked and then became indecisive; not very good timing.
That clik bait picture of the car on the track starts st the 10:10 mark.
Wow, how often do you see a wig-wag of ANY vintage???
The train at the end of the video I caught it going through the village I live in
Those flashing lights mean something 🤔?

Tourists. Boing!!
whats the news on the RJ Corman SD40Ts
I Hope RJC Could See The 3 RJ Corman SD40Ts
We are here to watch trains. Skipping to another train shot half way threw a train is contrary to the very idea of watching trains.
The car broke something important and it was dragging the ground
I guess the guy in the white pickup couldn't believe his eyes that anyone could be THAT dumb at a crossing, so he had to walk up to the car to see for himself.
Is that SIMON at 7:49 getting off at La Plata?
Yes!
i almost had to change my underwear at that Austell near disaster
