Omg it’s 1am and I woke up to a horn going off I thought someone’s was honking outside I couldn’t find the source of the noise until I looked over at my son sleeping and I find this video on his tablet lol.
Words fail me. What an amazingly atmospheric, ghostly journey that was. It’s amazing what that small planet of ours can offer sometimes. We can’t thank you enough, RCG, for sharing this magic with us.
I know! It is a favorite video of mine It is a beautiful world that has gotten tainted by those who wish life harm. Talking about the recent Ohio derailing of train and setting Forever Chemicals on fire this after denying the rights of railroad workers conductors and engineers their rights to strike for fair contracts. What a world. We the good people will win and all will be cleansed.
The internet is amazing. I'm a special effects guy in Houston Texas US enjoying a ride with a Norwegian railroad driver through beautiful and daunting countryside. And I'm loving every second. Thank you!
There is something very restful about watching the shunting at the end. Enjoyed this journey which must have been demanding with the heavy snow and strong winds. You could really see how much reflected the light the moon was giving up in the mountains.
I just want to say ty all train drivers for safely transporting us and cargo, supplying the world. Ty RailCowGirl for showing the beautiful scenery and a small inside look on driving train.
*It's a matter of magic atmosphere. It's all about that, for the viewer. I am italian. In 1998 I was in Norway, with an Avis car. Italy is one of the richest places on Earth, if we talk about Arts, History, natural views, everything. But going by car from Bergen to Oslo teached me that something BIGGER, wider, immense exists in Norway: Mother Nature's been generous, with Norway. By train, as I can now enjoy in my darkened room and full screen, is something MAGIC. I'd find perfectly normal to find a fairy or and elf coming out from nowhere... The sound is good as well. A big "Thank You" to RailCowGirl for this precious show.*
Wow! The surreal scenes in Finse tunnel, Dale looking like something out of a fairy story, blasting over the Mountain, the ever looming bulk of the mountains. Awesome! Special mention to the rabbit who got a cameo part!
How beautiful. So relaxing. Also, I really like how the station masters and other train drivers make a sign to say hello. Must be nice to see in the long hours of solitude.
Do you like freight service better or worse then passenger? What about the difference between night work and day work? I work straight nights, and on a dedicated run, so once I got my sleep pattern figured out, I love nights. No one around to bother you, and as long as the work got done safely, you never see a supervisor or upper management.
There's something soothing listening to an electric train while ya sleep. Only for the horns to go and wake ya up to make sure ya watch the rest of the video. Lol besides this helping me get to sleep it's nice to see Norway from all the way from Alberta Canada
I can’t explain why I like these videos so much. I guess partly I get to see your lovely country which I would love to explore some day. Incredible scenery. Thanks so much.

@@RailCowGirl Even though I'm totally blind, I really, really miss train transportation, because it's severely lacking here in the Southern United States, and it's only getting worse. I'm only 57, but my health is suffering over here, and I really need to get back to being mobile and free again, and I just love how amazing Europe is! Great stuff as always RCG. Love the comments at the start about the snow not being a problem. Here in the UK, if we get just a tiny bit of snow they cancel most of the trains immediately 🙄. Keep up the great work. Love these videos 😍

That totally depends on the snow, and what type of brakes your running as well as the temperature and amount of tunnels a long the route your running ;)
