When making buildings you can check Right Context Menu (shortcut N) > Tool > Options > Correct Face Attributes. Then you can move vertices and the UVs will follow.
Thank you so much! I always tell people who are wanting to learn blender to look you up, because your tutorials are so thorough and incredibly easy to understand, I learned Blender so quickly because of your tutorials!
I've not been around very much cause I was kinda busy but congrats on 294k your so close to 300k and I'm sure you will reach that milestone soon I thought I knew what you were gonna do in this video but you proved me wrong, good content!
You can also extrude outside or for inside using poly by poly so windows and door can have depth.. it is something cool for animation and games because you will have shadows a bit more precise than an simple plane
You can actually use, I think Object Info node, and backface to apply another shader or image to the other side of that plane.. That way you do not need to unwrap. Great little video, reminded me I can do this.. lol sometimes I go over board and use a complex method over a simple method..
Love the channel. PLEASE PLEASE can you always describe how to use things with menus, it’s so hard as beginner to keep track of all the keyboard shortcuts.
Neat! So if I wanted to "cut out" a shape like, say, cutting out the sky behind the building image to leave just the building or any other non-square object, would that be achieved by making sure the space around my object in the image file is transparent, or maybe by adding subdivisions to the plane and cutting it out manually, or maybe a different tool should be used altogether?
Fantastic! I probably saw this technique somewhere before and forgot. My brain is big but Blender is bigger. I was going to make a math video, inspired by 3b1b's call for math explanation videos, using Community Manim, but I might be short on time to make it all work right. But, I can screen-capture snips of equations and plots from a zoomed-in view of the PDF of my paper, slap them into Blender with this add-on, and use animation keyframing to make the equations and stuff move, fade in/out, spin around or whatever. Heck, do things Manim can't do, hee hee!
Doing this only gives me a hollow plane and i don't know what the issue is, apart from that the tutorial is great and very straight forward. Edit: fixed it somehow
Bro , kindly tell me one thing why my imported images as planes always lighted from the backside. I tracked the camera in after effect than imported the camera data in blender also created one.. Than when i import any image its always dim from the camera view or camera side but from the other side its lighted ... Please help me
Hi! great video! I wanna ask you how did you get that "Viewer" node with the emission at min 2:57 I'm new to blender and maybe it's a shortcut I don't know yet
Hi, I love your videos, they really are great. It would be great if you could upload them to the Lbry platform since there is not much information about Blender and your videos would be a bomb.
Is there a way for Blender to watch if the texture has been updated? For example if I added more windows to the building in photoshop and press save. Is there a way for Blender to know I pressed save? Thanks!
Grant I am having a very big problem , then immediately I searched your name , I imported an obj base mesh from Maya to blender for sculpting , but I can not voxel remesh neither I can add subdivision surface , please tell the solution mate !!!
Thank you very much for this tutorial! Is it possible to set a color grading - i.e. saturation, contrast, etc. in the Iamges as a plane import? If yes how? I would like to create architectural scenes with Blender and I would like to add a city scene as a background, for example. And for this it is necessary to edit the image that I imported as "Image as Plane".
Great tutorial as allways..Can u help me G Abit, does blender more compatibility with nvidia or ati radeon, and wich is better. I have now gtx 1050 2gb and i want to put ati radeon r9 380 4gb,radeon is better? But will Blender work better
Hey, so I import a transparent image and it looks fine but all other objects go in front of it no matter where they are so how to I make it so that I can have the image in front of other objects thanks
@@grabbitt So I imported an image to use in a 2d animation, but how to I make it the top object in the animation, it doesn't work to move it along the y to have it in front of the grease strokes it still goes behind everything, thanks
Is it possible to make the image as plane react with a refraction from a glass object, I have placed my image behind a glass object but it cannot be seen through the glass object?
nice tutorial, but is the any way to apply a building facade image to a mesh (a cube for example) or to edit the photo inside blender (instead of photoshop ) to remove the sky for example to use it as texture material in a mesh ?
Hi Grant - generally business cards are created with the standard graphics software such as Adobe or Photoshop... ...are there any advantages or uses where one would create a business card such as explained on this youtube presentation ? Cheers !

I don't actually know with this one maybe it's your lights and the specular levels on your material
@@grabbitt thanks for the reply .... I will see
THANKS!)!!
love you.
can you teach us how to make realistic buildings with simple textures
i always get confused which texture to use cuz there are a lot of them available online for free
Thanks for your video. Could you please let me know how to align an image and point cloud?
Hi! great video! I wanna ask you how did you get that "Viewer" node with the emission at min 2:57
I'm new to blender and maybe it's a shortcut I don't know yet
Node wrangler.
im using the updated 2.912
Do you know how to make volumetric work on images as plane? Like God rays for example.
Hey! Can you please do another portfolio review live stream? :P
You can try your best to do it
Thanks Will be usefull ;D
Sorry, but I still don't understand how you manipulate Emission with the Viewer? I have Node Wrangler. What shortcut?
It's even easier now as you don't need the viewer node
How do I add a texture to the images? Im sooo struggling
Hi, I love your videos, they really are great. It would be great if you could upload them to the Lbry platform since there is not much information about Blender and your videos would be a bomb.
I would lose my income through advertising which I rely upon
@@grabbitt Well maybe when the platform grows. Excellent videos again, thank you very much.
Do your courses cost, I am paying for access to videos but ,idk these same videos may be available for free, not sure if I should cancel it or not
Your can buy my character course or drawing course and I don't offer those videos on my channel for free
I’m trying to add a PNG img and it keeps adding a white background to it when it is supposed to be transparent
Are you in blender 3
Nice ❤️👍🔥
Is there a way for Blender to watch if the texture has been updated? For example if I added more windows to the building in photoshop and press save. Is there a way for Blender to know I pressed save? Thanks!
You have to reload
@Grant, I suppose we could set up as a pbr and then we would be able to get some depth from height map etc.?
Yes

How can i put a bloom effect to imported image as plane in Eevee??
just add bloom and anything a certain brightness will be included
Hello: I am following your tutorial with a green screened image. All works fine but I don't get any shadow. What am I missing. Thanks
Check the object properties. Doubles check in cycles
can we see and apply these initial settings AFTER the image is already imported into the scene ? 1:05
Not you must change them inside blender
Great tutorial as allways..Can u help me G Abit, does blender more compatibility with nvidia or ati radeon, and wich is better. I have now gtx 1050 2gb and i want to put ati radeon r9 380 4gb,radeon is better? But will Blender work better
More compatible with nvidia but not sure which is best out of the 2 cards
I would love to see sculpt of a human workflow
i grab into the distance and it disapear... what can i do?
Look up clipping
Not really what I'm looking for. See i want to use the image and hate how it's not affected by the hdri lighting and it's obscuring my interior scene.
Use a bump map
@@grabbitt could you explain this in more detail please?
There is any ways to fix the images go through each other when they near it?
Not sure what you mean
@@grabbitt I think i can fix it myself, it a bit broken but it's fine

When activating an addon, what's the difference between "install" and "refresh"?
Not sure about referral but some need installing as they don't come with blender. Refresh is probably update
Is it possible to make the image as plane react with a refraction from a glass object, I have placed my image behind a glass object but it cannot be seen through the glass object?
Yes
nice tutorial, but is the any way to apply a building facade image to a mesh (a cube for example) or to edit the photo inside blender (instead of photoshop ) to remove the sky for example to use it as texture material in a mesh ?
You would need to use proper UV unwrapping for that

how to make the image plane bigger?
s to scale
How can I avoid the weird distortions which appear when I move around the scene?
Use material preview mode
