I went to a game where Matt Morris had a no hitter deep at Wrigley and Jim Edmonds being scared of the brick wall cost him the no hitter and the Cubs eventually came back to win. Also a game where he threw at Derrek Lee’s head and benches clear which Mark Prior was also starting. All these names but Edmonds were answers haha.
I played a ton of MVP Baseball 2004 growing up, and whenever I did a fantasy draft, I always tried to get Derek Lowe as one of my starters. Dude had a crazy sinkerball in that game.
I got 100% on the MVP one, but I spent forever trying to get the 08 Red Sox. I guessed almost every other position player on that team and 4 pitchers before I got it. I got all but 5 on the Cy Young one. I drew a blank on Severino, Iwakuma, Schmidt, Rodriguez, and Wang, but did proudly get both Lowe and Morris.
Couldn’t remember his name, but had Matt Morris in my head. Watching tons of NL central ball growing up and remember Chris Carpenter coming in to STL from TOR and kinda taking over the ace role from the guy who just finished top in Cy Young.
Michael Brantley is my favorite player of all time. Ryan using him as his example of MVP candidates that won't be remembered in a decade or two hurt me. Because I know he's right.
of the 4 names i didnt get, he was one of them amongst Sheffield, Lee, and Molina. i guess you can say Brantley was forgettable, but also as good as Gary Sheffield and Yadier Molina
didn't think I'd ever find another person who has Brantley as their favorite player. He's my gf's favorite simply because he played for Cleveland and they share a bday lol
@@kristopherwilson506. Brantley is the greatest outfielder to wear 23 for the Indians and Astros between 2009 and 2023 of all time. put some respect on his name
As a 2000s Dodgers fan, I loved the Chad Billingsley attempt for Cy Young. The JM guys being this young and pulling Billingsley and Brad Penny is absurd level of baseball knowledge
Jolly, you and BBD are my two favorite guys to watch in the world of Jomboy media. I respect and love you guys. I know what I’m about to say is super unpopular and may get some negative comments - please stop advertising cannabis products. Despite the relief they can bring, these are not good things for people. I am a counselor who works with people from all walks of life who have done every drug imaginable. There are no good mind-affecting drugs. Love you guys, I know my comment will be disliked and is unfavorable, but I wanted to say it because of how much I appreciate all your guys’s work.
For future reference, you can "group answers with same hint" into two columns which allows the answers to fall under each specific season instead of one straight column. It makes the quizzes look crisper and it's easier on the eyes. Hopefully I explained that well enough.
Honestly can’t believe i missed Derek Lowe, I saw him drinking a high noon like a week and a half ago. Guess I didn’t think he played that early but yeah
I took the quiz before watching the video and I got 71%. Not bad but I missed a few that I should have gotten. I don't have BBD's or Jolly's elite spelling lol
I got the average score, 91%. I felt bad about a few of the ones I missed. For the Cy Youngs, not as good. Got the average again though. 5 names I should have gotten that I didn't.
On the MVP finishers I went 137 out of 144. I missed 2016 NL MVP 2 (He is a Met and a Rockie in my brain) 2008 AL MVP 3 2007 AL MVP 2 2005 NL MVP 3 2003 AL MVP 2 2002 AL MVP 3 2001 AL MVP 3
Here was my run at MVP - now to do Cy Young! Figured spending 11 minutes trying to spell DJ LeMahieu's name properly was not a great use of time! ruclips.net/video/L9AN7oDl0wk/видео.html
Rick Porcello doesn't even crack the top 20 worst CY winners. There was some incredibly stupid voting in the past, with a huge focus on pitcher wins and the '80s weird obsession with closers. Porcello and Verlander had very similar numbers. Verlander probably should have won, but it was a fairly close race. I will continue to never understand why people think that vote was anywhere near the worst in history. Probably just because Verlander is a Hall of Famer and Porcello was basically a career scrub, but those reputations are irrelevant to that specific season.
Ryan is my favorite JM person lol
as a Mariners fan, was screaming Bret Boone. You guys are ball knowers
the fact that they were bringing up all this random Yankee stuff and I was like think of our manager
Same 😂
Love balls these guys
"Remember when Anthony Rendon liked baseball?" 😂
Jolly has now felt the pride of making a Sporcle Quiz. Love that for him.
Yeah i really dont have the time to do that
No way they pulled Yuniesky Betancourt before Brett Boone 😂😂

What a crew of fookin studs. Absolute baseball heathens. Incredible job
Vibes were immaculate boys. Job well done

finally my boy BBD back in these vids
Impressive showing from the boys

Great video and nice job Jolly.
Phenominal work, both jolly and the team
Very impressive, well done
He did not just pull a Heathcliff Slocumb reference, that’s beyond a deep cut lol
@10:53 when Ryan remembered, was great moment to see.
i dont know why but just thought of this switch hitters quiz would be awesome
killer beebs ep
I only follow baseball for like 3 years, have like 0 ball knowledge and would get 30% on this quiz but I was screaming Bret Boone for like 5 minutes
They guessed Cliff Lee and got get Derrek Lee 2005 Cubs.
I had Derek Lowe since he went to the Dodgers after winning the WS. Matt Morris I wouldn’t have got to but remember the player
Jolly, you and BBD are my two favorite guys to watch in the world of Jomboy media. I respect and love you guys.

It’s funny I got boone easy but my only miss was freakin Daniel Murphy… he is my Wil Myers lol i forget him all the time!!
Just remember the 2015 Mets playoff run and you’ll always remember Murphy
@@floridaman6281 I suck with the mets too so thats probably why! I can only think of like 7 mets ever lol
As a Cubs fan I will never forget that fucker...sure he's a great guy but I hated him in 2015 lmao
I had Derek Lowe and Bret Boone, I would've had a lot of other blind spots but 01,02 was when I was watching the most baseball
Did not know who Matt Morris was, but I was thinking of Derek Lowe and Hideo Nomo for that 02 3rd place finish.
Got all the MVPs and 137/144 on Cy Young’s. Couldn’t remember Freddy Garcia, that’s my only real regret
Great quiz! 99% for me! Only missed youkilis and Murphy…
127/144 on Cy Young and 141/144 on MVPs, felt pretty good, excited to see how the boys do!
Dalton you were thinking of Woody Williams and Darryl Kile for the cardinals
Boone!! I had his poster on my wall at 4 years old
BBD was on one for the CY young one but he also wasnt wrong.
i knew matt morris, but i also didnt know half of those other pitchers
Yes. It's funny that Matt Morris was one of the first names I guessed. I thought of him before Waino and Carpenter.

Michael Brantley is a crazy pull there

keep up the great work jm baseball
Honestly can’t believe i missed Derek Lowe, I saw him drinking a high noon like a week and a half ago. Guess I didn’t think he played that early but yeah
This is so funny because I just watched Jake and Foolish talk about Brett Boone on Wake and Jake right before this video 😭
I love how us viewers did not see the missing one in the most part of the video.
10:45 JON BOIS MENTIONED 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I got 141 but took way longer because BDB types and spells much better than me
I was absolutely belting out silently “Derek Lowe!”
I missed Bret Boone, Kevin Youkilis, and Michael Brantley. As well as several pitchers.
138/144 was much higher than I thought I would get, forgot that Sheffield played for those two teams and only felt upset about missing on Molina
Sheffield will always play for a team you had no idea he played on.
Top 3 MVP: 9.32 minutes 144/144
CY Young Top 3: 16.58 minutes 144/144 (David Wells eluded me for a while)
The same person I was yelling at yall about with the al west hits video! Come on man 🤦♂️
Not for nothing, a lot of dead guys.
Cohen's ability to reset with "Are we being dumb?" really serves him well on these types of challenges.
Do immaculate grid battleship
5th grade in 2010 really hurt 😅
Definitely knew Lowe but wouldn't have gotten a bunch of others
I had Matt morris but I’m a long time cardinals fan
Ryan and Dalton in the same video means "Let's go" is going to be said approximately 300 times.
BBD on demon time rn
BBD in top form
Screaming Derek Lowe, but I was convinced the Cardinal was Darryl Kile or Rick Ankiel. Wasn’t getting Matt Morris
I took the quiz before watching the video and I got 71%. Not bad but I missed a few that I should have gotten. I don't have BBD's or Jolly's elite spelling lol
