    I taught Biology and Chemistry at *LVHS* from 2004-2014. I had both Bryan and Bryce in class. Bryce was not _”basically baseball Jesus”_ at school. At least wasn’t treated like he was baseball Jesus. He was actually one of the most humble and kindhearted kids I ever had the pleasure of teaching. I remember watching him get up from a table where about 10 or so of his friends were gathered and walk over to sit next to a kid that pretty socially awkward and struggled making friends. Bryce just started making conversation and connecting with him. I thought it was really wholesome and healthy-minded that a 14yo boy noticed the kid that everyone else seemed to ignore and made him feel seen. People might not like him because of how competitive or hotheaded he gets, but I can attest that he is someone that you’d want as a friend or a neighbor.

      Hearing stories about his youth makes it seem like he was a good strong-minded kid who had a lot of hate thrown his way because people were jealous of his talent and work ethic. With all the crap and anger he faced just for being good all the way from travel ball to the MLB it makes sense he ended up a bit hot headed.

    I’ll admit I took the clickbait..but subsequently stuck around for the entire video. Seeing this perspective for each individual career is wild. Much like we’re used to with social media, MLB focuses on the highlights, i.e. silly money contracts, HR races, overall wins (obviously, as it’s a team sport). The extent of my interest tends to fluctuate with the success or lack thereof of my hometown team; which I’d imagine is much the same for most. Now THIS perspective is emotional! As if I needed something else to over-analyze😂 , now I’ll be afraid every error results in shattered dreams and surgery. I’ll just have to suck it up though since I’m well aware there’s no crying in baseball. This video is brilliant. Loved every second. ❤

You know you suck when the White Sox don't want you and you gotta resort to writing a book that sold 11 copies. And don't tell me "oh yeah well the DODGERS wanted him back" because he was brought back 1)as a favor to his agent 2)as a fan favorite, which is understandable but it's not because he is the 'missing piece' to a championship lol

    I also wanted to say, I was definitely confused at 8:24 because you hadn't specified that the list was including only qualified pitchers, even if they threw over 50 innings. As a Mets fan, I paused there for a sec and was like "Wait, didn't Jacob DeGrom throw like 100 innings or so in 2021 and had damn near a 400 ERA+?!" LOL. But I quickly figured you meant just qualified pitchers, especially after you pointed out right afterwards that it was due to the low sample size. That 2020 season was definitely wacky, especially for the record books, I always forget to think harder about stats that came out of that season.

    Adley Rutchmann is a stud. I knew the O's were going to be a winning team once they brought him up. He's a future MVP. He's going to be a 30+ HR catcher.

    Despite being 7 seasons removed from the Astros trashcan scandal, it still baffles me how it was handled by Rob Manfred. It would have been a distant memory if players were punished and the 2017 World Series had a huge * on it.

    • @KTF0
      @KTF0 7 месяцев назад +2

      Manfred is easily the worst commissioner in sports. Dude is a grade A tool. Not only that scandal, the kid gloves he treated Ohtani with, and the way he let the owner of the A's treat Oakland fans.

      I was just giving props to the Yankees fan for actually saying something nice about the Astros.
      Yea, even 11 games in, Abreu batting .081 is bad. Bregman batting sub .250 is bad. Singleton batting .211 who is Abreu back up is bad. Chas batting sub .250 is bad. Tucker batting sub .250 is bad. The line up is legit being carried by Altuve, Pena, Diaz and Alvarez.

    Harper is perhaps my favorite player not on my favorite team. He's a pretty amazing player.
    That said, perhaps my favorite play involving him is that one where he ran into the wall that's shown in the video. That ball was hit by Tim Hudson for a homer.

    Orioles have been killing it in the drafts lately.
    Adley, Gunnar Henderson and now Jackson Holliday. That’s a deadly young core there.
    And that’s not even considering guys like Colton Cowser and Heston Kjerstad who could end up being really solid players.

    this is a good video, and by the way in Pittsburgh, we do really like Henry Davis, but one thing you got wrong is he did NOT adjust nicely to the outfield last year. That move was a disaster, other than his arm. And if Endy Rodriguez didn’t get hurt, the Pirates still wouldn’t have put him out there. It might’ve meant an end to Andrew McCutchen as the DH though.

    I didn’t see it mentioned in the video but Correa was dealing with plantar fasciitis in one of his feet for most of the 2023 season. He said if the twins weren’t in the playoff race he would have shut himself down due to how bad the pain was and it was clearly affecting his play but he decided to be out there every day instead and play through it. That’s why his numbers were down
