I'm glad they brought back the black Netflix outfit for Season 3. It's not an amazing design, but the red Daredevil armor in the Netflix show just doesn't fit the mood of the show. The black outfit looks like something practical someone might wear, not like a costume, though, so can understand why some people dislike it, but at least it works in context, in the fairly down-to-earth, gritty, "realistic" Netflix universe.

You obviously don't understand his powers if you don't think they're that impressive, he can also sense changes in atmosphere, so think Spidermans Spider Sense, it's kind of like that, so if someone was to throw a punch he could feel the air currents shift as that person moves their arm, so that gives him time to either dodge the punch, or trap arm and follow up with an arm bar, his power set is unique, and his senses aren't 'somewhat enhanced' they're amplified to superhuman levels. Technically his radar senses give him a kind of vision, I actually think the movie explained that power a little bit better than the tv series.

I'm surprised that daredevil and spider man have teamed up multiple times. I would have thought they would be at odds with each other. if they introduce spider man in a future season of daredevil, I would love them to get in each other,s faces, arguing about who,s method of crime fighting is better and maybe have them get into a physical fight. it would be similar to when daredevil clashed with the punisher, but this time, Matt would be the punisher in spider man,s eyes. Daredevil would probably push him around, calling him soft for being so nice to his enemies and if they portray him as being much younger than him, spider man might be a little too intimidated by him to stand up to him, out of fear, not of admiration like he did for iron man.
Even though Kingpin debuted as a Spider-Man villain, I've ALWAYS associated him with Daredevil more. Often times comics introduce a new villain (or even a hero) in one series, only for them to become just as important, if not more important, in another series. Thanos was introduced as an Iron Man villain, before moving on through a number of series until he was best associated with the Avengers. Prometheus debuted as a Blue Beetle villain, eventually becoming a Teen Titans & JL villain. Lady Deathstrike was introduced as a Daredevil villain, then became known as an X-Men & Wolverine villain. Mystique debuted in Ms. Marvel comics, then became known as a villain in various X-Men stories. There's plenty more, as villains bounce back & forth between any number of heroes they target (like Reverse Flash targeting Superman or Dr Doom being an everyone villain), but ultimately it comes down to who had the best stories with those characters, and though Spider-Man had some great ones with Kingpin, Daredevil's take the cake.
I was surprised how similar the black costume there looked to the one in the Netflix show. I didn't remember it looking that good. Of course, the Netflix show doesn't show him in that costume in bright office light.
Hacksaw Jim Thuggin That was awesome. Who'd want to forget that? A MYSTERI...ous villain had driven him to near madness and almost convinced him that baby was the anti-christ.
Considering that he was convinced it was the Antichrist, like many other characters, and then went on to defend the baby from others who thought the same and wanted to kill him, I'd say he gets a pass. Who else wants to see the Guardian Devil storyline adapted in the Netflix series?
There were so many hilarious villain designs in the old days, I always crack up over some of them! Though I admit I liked the original version of the villain “Porcupine” that briefly presented a serious threat to Giant Man and The Wasp...until he stole the hero’s size-changing pills, accidentally swallowed a handful of shrinking pills, thinking they were growth pills and hoping to become a colossus, and shrank down past the sub-atomic level. XD
It was a pretty cool film and Jennifer Garner was pretty bad ass in it. The Elektra film failed because Elektra isn't a superhero and it just doesn't work as a film. A Netflix Series about Elektra might be awesome. Give me Affleck as Daredevil over Garfield as Spiderman any day of the week.
Paulafan5 I thought the Elektra film was okay, but you're right. Elektra is more of an anti-hero. Looking back, I feel if the Daredevil movie came out now, maybe it would've done a hell of a lot better.
I really, really hate how many people use that image of Peter Parker dressed as Daredevil. He's even doing the web hand gesture! Why does it get tossed around in videos or headlines specifically about Daredevil without even a hint of irony? #8 is so stupid. Kingpin has very much become more of a DD villain, but I see no evidence that Marvel is in any way avoiding people learning that he originated as a Spider-Man villain. For example, the recent Kingpin mini-series mentions Spider-Man as his arch-nemesis alongside Daredevil. You're right about the DD Black Widow relationship being all but erased, though I would really, REALLY love it if she would show up in Netflix or vice versa. And I, for one, love the yellow costume. It's so wonderfully toyetic. Back on the note of commandeered Spidey villains, Tombstone deserves a major appearance in the Netflix show. If he and Mr. Fear showed up, I could honestly wait beyond Season 3 for Bullseye to show up.
I literally cried out loud at #2! I used to read that as a young child over and over and that's all I knew of daredevil till much older. It was ridiculous LOL given to us by the firemen on field trips.
Same. When I watched daredevil, regardless of how bad the cgi was and how mediocre the script was, in the movie the character himself was made almost inhuman. Even though as a kid I knew he was human as a superhero, the way they portrayed him made him seem superhuman and almost inhuman. I always thought the movie version was so dope. I don't feel like that with TV daredevil. I feel like he fights like a guy who knows karate and isn't half as good as some of the people he fights, even though he was trained by "stick" his insanely dangerous mentor.
You should do a video about villains marvel wants you to forget. For example: The White Rabbit - ANOTHER "Alice In Wonderland" based villain. She was rich and had an umbrella that fired various carrot weapons. The Walrus - He has the "proportionate speed, strength, and agility of a walrus." Of course, since walruses are bigger than humans that means he's lesser than a normal walrus. The Hacker - A teenager that was rejected to work for Stark Industries so he started hacking his computer systems trying to get revenge.
Maxwell Tanner that's fair that's your opinion. I think the directors cut Is actually really good and fixes most, not all the problems of the theatrical. WW I think is a great film. Man of Steel is good just very hard for me to sit through at times. But that's just my opinion.
Maxwell Tanner Then Daredevil's director's cut is done in a better way than the BvS one. That's different from saying Daredevil shouldn't be considered garbage anymore just because BvS and company showed up. And trust me, I'm no big fan of BvS and Suicide Squad to say the least.
I remember my brother getting that Daredevil "educational" comic. I didn't realize it was that big of a deal and figured it was a pretty common thing to have a superhero appear in that type of thing. Pretty much like the shorts that they would show at the end of every G.I.Joe episode.
Actually daredevils yellow costume was an ode to his father who gave his boxing robe to Matt before he knew he would die when Matt was making his original suite it was to bring his father's killers to justice he only changed his suite after Karen told him to make his suite all red
Personally, I actually enjoyed the 90's costume and the Ben Affleck Film. The 90's costume looked like it was meant for what he does. it's padded and armored, the black helped him to blend into the shadows along with the forearm stick holsters which would allow him to keep his hands free while blocking blade attacks... The red on the costume gave criminals a target to hit much in the same way that Batman's yellow symbol did however, it's also the most largely protected area. If you notice, the areas on the costume that are red are also the very same areas that can cause the most damage if attacked... the throat, the chest, the abs, the knees etc etc. As for the film, Sure there were a few minor problems but over all I thought it was a GREAT interpretation of the character.
I don't think Marvel keeps it quiet that Kingpin was originally a Spider-Man villain. If anything I think it's overlooked how much of what modern Kingpin became is owed to Miller taking the character to make a serious crime boss in his Daredevil run. Before that Fisk was seen as such a joke that Marvel couldn't believe Miller wanted to use him for the Daredevil series.
They totally missed the period where he had a triple identity. He created a fictitious broke Mike, who everyone knew was Daredevil, but didn't know that Matt was actually Mike. The Netflix series even did a bit of a nod to it. Before Matt revealed his real name to Clair she called him Mike.

Haven't watched the vid yet, but gonna take a guess. I think 1 is when he tried to kill a baby.
that he thought was the anti-christ
Hacksaw Jim Thuggin That was awesome. Who'd want to forget that? A MYSTERI...ous villain had driven him to near madness and almost convinced him that baby was the anti-christ.
Considering that he was convinced it was the Antichrist, like many other characters, and then went on to defend the baby from others who thought the same and wanted to kill him, I'd say he gets a pass.
Who else wants to see the Guardian Devil storyline adapted in the Netflix series?
oh hell no!!!!
Kevin Smith's run was the god best run of the century.
Well to be fair Kingpin has locked horns with Spider-Man, Daredevil, The Punisher, Black Panther, even took a shot at Cap and the X-Men.
The movie wasn't that bad. The soundtrack was awesome..
He also cameoed in the 90s animated Spider-Man. 90s animated X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man & Fantastic Four all had a shared universe.
Daredevil's Director's cut movie was a lot better.
With Daredevil wearing a yellow suit in She Hulk, no one is trying to hide it anymore.
You gotta do luke cage, Jessica jones, and iron fist!
XD
I'm not arguing anything against Frank Miller's run, but Ann Nocenti's Daredevil is straight-up awesome.
Well. I've been debating subscribing for a bit, but when I saw the opening joke. I subbed.
Am I the only one who liked the Daredevil movie?
nope.
CthulhuChow THANK YOU!
I liked it... I watched it quite a bit and that was before I even discovered the extended edition, and now I love it even more!
Kingpin isn't fat; he's pure muscle, or so he claims in Spiderman: The Animated Series (the 90s cartoon).
Because it's an awesome piece of art, and makes people curious about why this character does the Spidey gesture, then draws them in?
Whoa whoa whoa...I and any DD fan would wet their pants if Netflix DD used his clubs as a set of nunchucks.
It could be done well. Bo Staff too.
Karen becomes a junkie
Which comic is that at 2:45?
Rip black widow, Secret empire #7
She will be back by the time Infinity War hits theaters - bank on it.
Dude, spoilers.
Noir made daredevils original costume badass to me
I loved the Ben Affleck version
I literally cried out loud at #2! I used to read that as a young child over and over and that's all I knew of daredevil till much older. It was ridiculous LOL given to us by the firemen on field trips.
I actually like Ben Affleck daredevil
JT Markham me too dude, and unrelated, I liked Letos “Joker” too
You missed the Beyonder returning his sight and Daredevil then giving it up.
First
Letter of the alphabet is A
fuck.
Aidan lol
Aidan No it is clearly q
You should do a video about villains marvel wants you to forget. For example:
The White Rabbit - ANOTHER "Alice In Wonderland" based villain.
We thought the Daredevil movie was pretty garbage because we hadn't lived to see Batman v Superman or any of the new DC movies yet.
Quite honestly, it's still pretty garbage even after the movies you mentioned. At least its first half.
*rolls eyes* don't compare that hot trash to the DC movies. Suicide Squad was the only horrible one and it had likeable characters at least.
The Director Cut is decent, sort of. Batman v Superman's Extended Cut is exactly the same garbage only Batman kills people slightly more violently.
Daredevil was also a womanizer and sexually assaulted black window in the old comics
So were most male superheroes in the old comics
Sonny Joon not as bad as daredevil, superman was a racist and Batman brutally murdered people
lol I'd smash black window to bits.
LarryBonson no kidding, he's forced himself on widow and sexually assaulted her
Crazed Milk Man How would sexually assaulting a tinted window even work? Does he cut a penis-shaped hole with a laser then put it in there?
What comic was that with the daredevil Elektra and black widow slide
Am I alone in loving all the edgy emo 90s comics?
No lie, I’d love it if DD got a crime fighting guide dog:)
Ben Affleck best Daredevil
Actually daredevils yellow costume was an ode to his father who gave his boxing robe to Matt before he knew he would die when Matt was making his original suite it was to bring his father's killers to justice he only changed his suite after Karen told him to make his suite all red
A daredevil vid ILL believe it when i see it sorry but i couldnt help it
haha. Ben keeps Peter in his coat pocket. that's gold right there
Yuh
Whats the background music? If anyone knows
what? no shit bullseye for wankers #shitbullseyeforwankers? DAMMIT BEN DO THE THING!!!!
what's the comic book with, natasha,, matt and elektra in it?
wait I remember seeing dd carving a target on bullseye's forehead in the bendis run. Is that before or after the movie
My grade school gave us that gas vaper comic. I still have it.
No no no, hold on a second here. That gang boss Owl guy is essentially Wolverine. His hair is similar and he's got metal claws. What the hell?
Yo could you guys do a video about Y the last man?
I don't think Marvel keeps it quiet that Kingpin was originally a Spider-Man villain. If anything I think it's overlooked how much of what modern Kingpin became is owed to Miller taking the character to make a serious crime boss in his Daredevil run. Before that Fisk was seen as such a joke that Marvel couldn't believe Miller wanted to use him for the Daredevil series.
