It's more of a 'free pass' list but yeah I laughed so much when Spidey was on it (along with Thor- "if he became a woman" and Hilary Clinton) I loved the Spiderman/Deadpool series sm
he also helped tony start get clean from alcohol... (then stole his suit to ruin iron mans reputation, it was a contract from mephisto to ruin iron man and he used that as a loophole to actually protect stark himself.)
"That kind of darkness just isn't what you want with deadpool" have you read a single deadpool comic? his character has a very dark and depressing past.
Coah Nooper Right?! I can't think of a single story arc that doesn't have SOMETHING dark and/or depressing happen! (Ok not including Way because fuck that guy... but even he had a decent amount)
Deadpool wouldn't be Deadpool without that 'darkness'. That he originally were a villain and a Deathstroke parody - well known. He's still an anti-hero.
Ariel Antunez I think he was a decent villain treated badly, he had potential if they didn't give him every other mutants ablilties. He would have been perfect with two swords (not in his hands) and teleportation and healing.. but nooooo they wanted to have it all
I think you think the comics are terrible because you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the character. He's a tragic clown. Deadpool has always had outright tragedy as a part of who he was.
phonkp Agreed. Sadly the mainstream media has somewhat framed Deadpool as a joke character who can never get a little serious. It's been happening ever since the DP game.
The movie did have a hint of this however with the whole dying and then living only to still be separated from the woman he loves. It technically is a comedy (literary not film sense) but there was some heavy tones of tragedy in there too.
In the early comic Weasel and Blind Al were quite scared of his temper too. He even locked Blind Al up in a punishment room (forgot what they called it) when she didn't do what he said.
well almost every other character affiliated to the X-men is pretty much a mutant so I understand that they might be confused. But yeah a mutate not a mutant
Deadpool isn't a mutant and did you really just say Deadpool isn't supposed to be dark? I have a trade of one of his early runs and despite some comedy it's pretty serious with Deadpool wanting to be a good guy but feeling like he's only meant for killing, meeting the scientist who fucked him up in the first place and showing just how traumatized he actually is, kidnapping a blind old lady and abusing her to the point where even while acting like his friend, she's still scared for her life and finally a Daredevil villain. Typhoid Mary fucking with him both mentally and quite literally when she rapes him. Deadpool can and has pulled off dark stories, while a comedic element needs to stay, I much prefer a serious Deadpool story to "Memepool" where he's solely joking around.
MysteriousTomJenkins my thoughts exactly most of his early comics that was the only constant that he knew he was taken as a joke and he would never be fully accepted, so he acted out to mask it.
Yea well blame the movie for turing him the "Memepool" he is now. Secondly Deadpool can't stand on his own... even when he is serious. Finally check out Deathstroke, you'll probably like him. It's almost like Deadpool was a rip off of Deathstroke.
I think the thing about his darkness is that he usually doesn't accept it and hides it with humor, this is why the memes and stupid jokes are important. When he stops banting you know shit is acutally getting too real, and it's cool that that happens now and then but then he has to go back to his coping mechanism all the more
*Marvel doesn't want us to forget any of these things.* This feels like a excuse to make a Deadpool list. I don't think you even understand the point of Deadpool. It seems like you are trying to make these points seem bad. Number 3 and number 1 is especially made up BS.
wow thats weird. I findit funny though that deathstroke inspired deadpool because, deathstroke is ice cold, calculating and cunning, ruthless, complete opposite of funny etc...while deadpool is reckless, raunchy, uncouth, the opposite personality and freaking hilarious.
He's not an idiot. He just doesn't try very hard to do anything, and doesn't take anything very seriously. If he wasn't immortal he probably would've killed himself, but since he is - it's his chosen way of coping.
He's not a copy of Deathstroke. At all. He is, however, a 100% ripoff copy of Ambush Bug. Now, anyway. He was originally nothing like that, he was just another of the Liefield bundle of pouch losers, which actually is something people have "forgotten".
deadpool has one power: his healing factor. He learned other languages, how to be an expert assassin, and martial arts so he could be a mercenary, and marvel would never want anyone to forget that
well technically alot of his skills are actually due to his fourth wall breaks. his amazing reflexes exist due to him literally looking at the next few panels to see whats coming.
I remember reading one or two comics, and there was one big thing about how his skin was constantly hurting, and another thing where Clif (hope I spelled his name right, I don’t read much marvel) IS DEAF, and my dude knew sign. He also stopped someone from suicide and had a daughter (who I think died)
he technically has 2 daughters, one to a woman he met a LONG time ago, and one to the queen of the underworld. The first daughter is the black girl, and her abilites is she can regenerate if she dies, and the other just has deadpools healing ability.
Catley Loves he didn't start out as the sarcastic anti-hero so many fans adore though. In his first appearances he was much closer to Deathstroke in more than just aesthetics.
Those who see that Marvel gets a lot of credit as “much better then DC”, like myself, do care. Marvel goes a childish way with a lot of their characters: They take a character from DC then change their looks, their name, slightly, then throws a bunch of extra powers to offset the weaknesses of said DC characters. Some of Marvel characters are original, I grant you. Also, it would be foolish not to admit that DC has ripped off a few DC characters, however Marvel’s rip-offs of DC are far more common. It is ridiculous.
I thought the herald of galactus bit was hilarious. i mean how could you not like that concept? he just annoys the shit out of galactus to the point where galactus face palms (seriously a cosmic sized face palm, how is that not hilarious?) and then deadpool still has the nerve to ask for a raise! that was lolz for days man.
Have to say, I loved his old villaineous self. I got introduced to the character through this issue of New Mutants and found it pretty cool. Even bought the action figures because of that. I still like him, but sometimes it really is too much goofiness for me right now.
@@ComicBookGuy420 hum... No. Deadpool actually is a great character with the whole "tradegy behind the comedy" thing. I seriously don't know why people think he is just a annoying idiot.
Fujisaur he actually stopped using those hashtags but then everybody complained when he stopped on the main channel so now that he brought it back people are complaining that he's doing it. Sucks to suck ig
Yeah, Deadpool's at his best when he's got some darkness. Everyone saw the movie and now they think he's all chimichangas and penis jokes. That's only part of what he is.
It did have some of that darkness, especially when Wade was stuck in the Weapon X program. I liked that they went there in the movie. But I mostly mean Deadpool himself- in the comics (namely Joe Kelly's run), he's always walking the line between a psychotic comedian and a completely homicidal sociopath.
I think his madness tends to inherently suggest massive psychological trauma, including the effect of one's body being basically a visceral affront to nature to the core, with no part healthy and proper to escape to or find solace in. And the fact that his existence is perpetual even if he wanted to off himself. No escape, save madness. Feeds right into it. It's a kind of apt tragedy all in all. And gives some depth alongside the silly side, as far as I'm concerned. I personally relate to the pathos of 'madness' in a certain way, and I'm sure some other people do too. I think madness is inherently dark, when you think about it, in terms of the human experience. To me it implies your mind basically broke and violently imploded on itself irreparably due to not being able to handle the reality of circumstances. A willful escape into manic delusion against the true structure of reality, reason, and humanity. Honestly it can be a tempting road, even though it's fruitless and false. Anyway what I can say is, it'd be best if the trauma of his backstory did justice to the depth of his madness. Anything less feels cheap, forced. But yeah I think I can appreciate the combination of silliness with that undertone of tragedy. Actually now I kind of want to see a really sophisticated take on Deadpool exploring the dark nature of his madness, with the usual antics twisting the pathos all the more. But I guess that's not how everyone enjoys him. His murderous sociopathy is usually conveniently treated with tailored circumstance as to not be as disturbing as it truly is. To give him an illusion of humanity, but I don't think that's truly consistent with his psyche. If he really had any true scruples, principles to hold onto, he wouldn't really be mad, would he, just an eccentric human in a costume. But that would make people very uncomfortable to think about.
I don't think a story with Deadpool really needs to have that darkness as its main theme though. Sure, having it is nice, but if its constantly shoved in our faces just has "hey look how serious and dark this otherwise fun and goofy character is guys we can be serious please take us serious" written all over. The best Deadpool stories are the ones where the darkness and self-esteem issues are in the background, and more subtle than Wade just flat out being like "Well, I hate myself. I want to die".
Great video, but there is one thing that is wrong: Deadpool is not a mutant. Or at least none of his powers come from an X gene. He got the healing factor from weapon X so he is a "mutate" like Spiderman, ie his powers come from a mutation caused by an outside source later in life. I believe at one point it is hinted/ joked that his cancer was actually his mutant power, but this has never been confirmed.
I actually think that the uncertain origin adds to the understanding of DP's extreme of the wall personality and behaviors. In the beginning of the comics he was confident and sure of himself but as he got destroyed by T-Ray and told that he stole his identity it made him more uncertain and somewhat maniacal. And then we learn about how everybody constantly messes with his head with mind control, brain washing, conflicting stories and a lot of mental abuse and drugging. His psyche is very obviously battered and I like to think that he understands just as much as we all do, which really isn't anything. To comprehend would detract from his appeal, at least that's what I believe.
DP isn;t a mutant. He's a mutate. Doesn't sound like much but in Marvel that difference is HUGE. Difference being mutants are BORN with their powers while mutate (Spider-Man, Deadpool, Hulk) and not and get them through other means.
*just read new mutants #98 and saw that deadpool was always the wisecracking merc with the mouth ever since his first appearance by rob liefeld, so what's the problem*
1. He’s a parody 2. Why would anyone care if he was fired from being a herald? Talking is part of his personality. 3. He has always meant to be a sad person that hides it with jokes. Hence the many times characters say that you should be afraid if he is silent. 4. His powers are always changing as the story needs them. Sometimes he is fighting for oxygen to stay alive, other times he simply walks around carrying his head, perfectly fine.
What, are you imagining things? There was no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. There was no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. There was no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. There was no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. Theres no place like home. There was no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins.
There was definitely no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. There was definitely no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins. _There was clearly no Deadpool in Wolverine Origins._
But...him being a 'villain' (do agenda-less mercenaries really count as 'villains'?) before is one of the things that makes him more compelling... that really isn't something they're trying to cover up at all. In his most renowned arcs/series like Joe Kelly's run in the 90s and Cable and Deadpool arguably the best things about the character is the redemptive shit; him trying to move on from his past, trying to be someone better than just a moral-less hired gun and trying to be a hero despite being a fuck up and despite the bucketloads of shit he gets for all his efforts and despite the fact that almost all the other heroes around hate him save for Cable, Siryn and a handful of others who are trying to get him to be someone better and believe in himself. Hell, even in the most recent issue of Spiderman/Deadpool (sorry if any of this is incorrect; I don't really read it that much as I don't particularly enjoy it) currently he's trying to wane Peter away from the idea of killing Itsy Bitsy because of how much he idolises Spiderman's ethics and morals and he doesn't want to think that was all for nothing and he doesn't want to think that his hero is a moral-less killer...like he was, like the person he doesn't want to be. So, uh, yeah, that last point seems pretty off the mark to me.
"I'm the best deadpool fan.. I only saw the movie." You did not even know him before the movie and now you're the best fan? Maybe a movie fan... But not a true fan. I'm not saying you have to read every comic since the character was created, but atleast do some research before considering yourself as a fan. Yes, some people didn't know about the character and now they're big fans, but they took the time to read some comics to know more about the character. That's okay. But saying you're a fan of a 40 years old character just because you saw a movie is a bit stupid. Sorry for bad english.
0:14 no, Liefeld did not take it upon himself in fact, deadpool as conceived by liefeld was JUST deathstroke he did not have any of his comedic personality or ANY trace of the shit he is known for he was a generic bad guy for the younger xmen team at the time a deathstroke rip off his fun personality, comedy and everything else was added LATER, by other writers
Maioly yea it was added by the writters because he was a boring rip off. Then he had to piggy back off everyone else because he can't stand on his own.
No one wants to forget anything Deadpools done! Its what creates him to be the character he is now! The comics are absolute classics, keen to see more of it made into large screen movies!
I've never read a deadpool comic so far that I didn't like, so from personal experience I disagree that the comics are crap, just don't take them too seriously. So far I've read deadpool kills marvel, killustrated, kills deadpool, back in black, dead presidents, vs carnage, and spiderman, and the good the bad and the ugly. Are any of these thought to be crap or have I just chosen some of the few good ones?
yeah, he just goofy a lot for his healing factor, but you can see he no forget nothing of that when he is more "serious", like when he wipeout ultimatun
He waa great in X force when he was set against Kid Apocalyspe getting killed. The most serious Deadpool I have seen. Shows you he does have deep routed morals
I was looking for this comment. I completely agree. That Uncanny X-Force run probably balanced Deadpool's character the best. You have scenes like that where he's serious and has a moral code; and then only a little bit earlier you have a scene where he's cutting off parts of his arm to feed Archangel.
He's also amazing in the Marvel Now! series (starts with Dead Presidents if you wanted to start reading it). It has him with the most character depth and demonstration of his deep seeded morals I've ever seen with him. Also Evan is in that series (eventually), so hey there's that. Plus both of these series kinda contradicts practically everything in this goddamn video.
Micah-David Saunders Is it believable that he's mad, yet also holds onto scruples? I thought that sort of thing was kind of an all-or-nothing deal. Hard to escape the torture of reality when you're still holding onto parts of cohesive reality.
+WhatCulture Comics 4:18 I could call it "You don't know how to tell an original joke that has any sort of humor value so we'll keep repeating the same joke that has never been funny over and over" #You don't know how to tell an original joke that has any sort of humor value so we'll keep repeating the same joke that has never been funny over and over
Their were several fans that liked when Deadpool became normal. We all knew it was temporary but, it still gave us a glimpse to explore Wade if he didn't hate himself, and had if he a break.
A big reason why Deadpool is popular is BECAUSE he had a very dark past and he used to be villain, while at the same time having a sense of humor. That's why he's such a cool hero unlike all the others who were goody two shoes at birth. When has anyone ever tried to hide that fact? Without that crucial element he would just be a ninja Spiderman.
I love how DC has also added a character to Harlie Quinn's story called "Red Tool". A pardied parody. ^_^ Also I refuse to acknowledge that #6 ever really happened.
Deadpool losing his powers was one of the best and most hilarious arcs he had. He had to learn how to change his fighting style since he didn't have his healing factor to rely on, and he gradually got his brand-spankin' new face damaged and messed up into the way it was.
I love Deadpool as a character but Wolverine is my favorite. That being said, look at what Marvel did them both. They grew super popular and then were, as stated, stretched thin between many titles. Hugh Jackman did an amazing job keeping Wolverine pretty much loved in cinema and Ryan Reynolds could do that too. Marvel should just allow Deadpool to he his own Deadpool in cinema, while giving him limits in comics to make find want him more and eye roll less.
I think you hate it comics because you only hear people say how great the movie was. So you presume every trait in the comic that is different from the movie is trash.
I don't know maybe I am just insane but I liked X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Mind you I had never even heard of Deadpool before then so it wasn't in any way blasphemous to me, but merely an interesting character. That being said I do agree that the more acurate to the source material Deadpool movie is a better interpretation of the character, but it doesn't stop me from enjoying the aforementioned X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie either.
Deadpool being a rip off of deathstroke isnt totally correct. deathstroke was also a rip off of marvels taskmaster, and the end result was marvel blatantly ripping them off so much he broke the fourth wall. they made him to be as identical as he could be as a sarcastic return at them stealing taskmaster in the first place. marvel dont really want you to forget it, its just its been a fair long while since that information has been relevent? nobody cares anymore since they developed each character out of their mirror image days of not as in depth writing.
A couple things: 1. Marvel is proud of Deadpool's origins as the artist who ripped him off were actually the creators of Deathstrike. They pitched it as an F.U. to DC, and the one shot became popular. 2. Deadpool's Healing Factor and Immortality are separate powers. The first was transfered from Wolverine during a Weapon X project, but the second was given by Thanos who was being a petty little simp when Lady Death started dating Wade. 3. Deadpool's complicated dad story makes sense as he has split personality. Meaning one body but many minds. As such, one of his personas might not grasp who his father was, while another might be trapped right before his father's death.
I think there are some good Deadpool comics the Deadpool and cable run was good there was a run from a while ago which I can't R.E.M. we who wrote but that was him at his core and then there was Deadpool/Spiderman so out of all the Deadpool stuff I've read there have been a lot of good stuff
I like to look at the DP comics as satire of comics. They are far fetched written at times, but so were comics when they first started. It's a nice concept of taking a regular sarcastic person and throwing them into the comicverse.
isnt deadpool the only comic char that knows he is a comic char? so he does not need a background or any set of standards or rules ... at least thats what i was thinking. And everybody forgets about Lobo tho ...
He WAS a rip-off. Now he's a parody. When Liefeld made him he was basically "Deathstroke, but Marvel." Thankfully, since then, he's evolved into a distinct character of his own, serving more as a parody of Deathstroke than anything else.
Technically, he can do that because of a belt, but I haven't read the comics, so I don't know if that's an official thing, or something only from the videogame
Weird. I totally just recognized your background music from one of my all time favorite videos, about how Oreos are Unmade. Is that the generic music supplied by some video editing program?

It's not really cheating if both parties agree on it.
LMFAO....Spiderman is number 5? That explains all the time he spends with him.
It's more of a 'free pass' list but yeah I laughed so much when Spidey was on it (along with Thor- "if he became a woman" and Hilary Clinton) I loved the Spiderman/Deadpool series sm

"That kind of darkness just isn't what you want with deadpool" have you read a single deadpool comic? his character has a very dark and depressing past.
Coah Nooper totally agree!!
Coah Nooper
Right?! I can't think of a single story arc that doesn't have SOMETHING dark and/or depressing happen! (Ok not including Way because fuck that guy... but even he had a decent amount)
Indeed!!!
Coah Nooper I know right?
Deadpool wouldn't be Deadpool without that 'darkness'. That he originally were a villain and a Deathstroke parody - well known. He's still an anti-hero.
We dont talk about xmens origins wolverine. We just...we dont talk about it.
Planet Z yup
shhhhhh, this top 9 was shitty
Unpopular opinion: I feel like the "Deadpool" in Origins could have been a great villain, if he wasn't called Deadpool/Wade Wilson
Ariel Antunez I think he was a decent villain treated badly, he had potential if they didn't give him every other mutants ablilties. He would have been perfect with two swords (not in his hands) and teleportation and healing.. but nooooo they wanted to have it all
Was it that bad? I haven't seen it
I think you think the comics are terrible because you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the character.
No he's right, most of the comics are terrible. Kelly and Nicieza runs are the only ones that are good.
I don't know who Kelly and Nicieza is, but he's right in that most of the comics are awful and the only good ones are the really old ones.
"Slade Wilson"
"Wade Wilson"

Deadpool isn't a mutant, he's a "mutate" who got his healing factor through the weapon X program. That's why he has no defined mutant powers
NEEEEWEEERRD
Dalton Riser Yeah?
well almost every other character affiliated to the X-men is pretty much a mutant so I understand that they might be confused. But yeah a mutate not a mutant
Kieran David Charlett what about teleportation?
Darth Vader that was a belt that allowed him to teleport
First
Deadpool had great humour
Second
He can’t die
Third
He is breaking the south wall
This is why I want to work with deadpool
I am ready to learn master
Yea well blame the movie for turing him the "Memepool" he is now. Secondly Deadpool can't stand on his own... even when he is serious. Finally check out Deathstroke, you'll probably like him. It's almost like Deadpool was a rip off of Deathstroke.
I think the thing about his darkness is that he usually doesn't accept it and hides it with humor, this is why the memes and stupid jokes are important. When he stops banting you know shit is acutally getting too real, and it's cool that that happens now and then but then he has to go back to his coping mechanism all the more
MysteriousTomJenkins hes a mutate.
*Marvel doesn't want us to forget any of these things.* This feels like a excuse to make a Deadpool list. I don't think you even understand the point of Deadpool. It seems like you are trying to make these points seem bad. Number 3 and number 1 is especially made up BS.
Wow... This video is offensive to Deadpool fans. I can't even start to list the incorrectness of what was started in this video
It's just sad
6:33
Deadpool: I'll be Hokage! lmao even anime references.
I always find it funny that Deathstroke inspired Marvel's Deadpool, but Deadpool inspired DC's Redtool.
Come onnnnn.
wow thats weird. I findit funny though that deathstroke inspired deadpool because, deathstroke is ice cold, calculating and cunning, ruthless, complete opposite of funny etc...while deadpool is reckless, raunchy, uncouth, the opposite personality and freaking hilarious.
also deathstroke's a brilliant tactician and villain, while deadpool's a huge idiot
Deathstroke also was made to be like cable.
This video was written by people who obviously don't actually read Deadpool comics.
yep
Jee Vang but you have time to watch videos on yt about Deadpool?😂 so damn ironic that it’s funny.
@Richard Hopkins ever heard of online comics?
@@jeevang7853 that is.... Well ik it was over exaggeration but Jesus
@Richard Hopkins i do, its called online comics, and thousands of people read them, otherwise a lot of the films wouldn't be a thing ya know
deadpool has one power: his healing factor. He learned other languages, how to be an expert assassin, and martial arts so he could be a mercenary, and marvel would never want anyone to forget that
well technically alot of his skills are actually due to his fourth wall breaks. his amazing reflexes exist due to him literally looking at the next few panels to see whats coming.
houstonfam11 how do u explain his teleportation? Another power he has everyone forgets about. U can't learn that it's a super power
Explain his teleportation u can't just learn that it's a super power
I seem to remember that one being a gadget. There have been few cases where he wished he had it on him.
RJay Harris
the teleportation is a gadget it's not his power.
He's a parody of Deathstroke parody. Not a rip off.
Catley Loves he didn't start out as the sarcastic anti-hero so many fans adore though. In his first appearances he was much closer to Deathstroke in more than just aesthetics.
originally he wasn't even intended as being a funny character and was clearly made as a rip off, not a self aware parody or something
#CONRAD T RIPOFFER
No, he’s a rip-off.
5:05 and his mother is Pool
I thought the herald of galactus bit was hilarious. i mean how could you not like that concept? he just annoys the shit out of galactus to the point where galactus face palms (seriously a cosmic sized face palm, how is that not hilarious?) and then deadpool still has the nerve to ask for a raise! that was lolz for days man.
clericofchaos1 im surprised no one tried to literally kick him out ,with their foot
isn't his immortality also partly because thanos cursed him so he can't be together with lady death?
Have to say, I loved his old villaineous self. I got introduced to the character through this issue of New Mutants and found it pretty cool. Even bought the action figures because of that. I still like him, but sometimes it really is too much goofiness for me right now.
This guy clearly is critiquing the comic book based off of him watching the movie first.
Rob Liefeld made a deathstroke clone. It's the artist and writers who came after him who really made deadpool what he is.
I thought the entire point of Deadpool is that everything is fucked up and nothing made sense...
It is, that is literally the whole point of the Deadpool comics, if you want proof, Deadpool vs Bullseye, the whole anthology
@@ComicBookGuy420 hum... No. Deadpool actually is a great character with the whole "tradegy behind the comedy" thing. I seriously don't know why people think he is just a annoying idiot.

Your hashtags will never trend.
Also you don't want that kind of darkness with deadpool? Have you ever read anything with deadpool?
I actually really enjoy the deadpool comics, deadpool and cable is one of my favorite series. I disagree with them being "terrible"
Great video, but there is one thing that is wrong:
Deadpool is not a mutant.
Unless you go by the Movie and it is a murky gray area.
damn it, beat me to it
well, power stealing beings tried to steal his mutant powers, but got cancer instead
Deadpool's healing factor comes from Wolverine.
DragonSlapper64 Bahahhaha!
To comprehend would detract from his appeal, at least that's what I believe.
umm deadpool's daughter is very much in cannon i'm not sure why she wouldn't be, i mean she was a big part of why i liked the arcs she's in.
I think he meant more that she seems to not exist in most of his timelines.
DP isn;t a mutant. He's a mutate. Doesn't sound like much but in Marvel that difference is HUGE. Difference being mutants are BORN with their powers while mutate (Spider-Man, Deadpool, Hulk) and not and get them through other means.
MAYBE IF YOU WOULD READ THE COMICS YOU WOULDN'T THINK THEY'RE CRAP
*just read new mutants #98 and saw that deadpool was always the wisecracking merc with the mouth ever since his first appearance by rob liefeld, so what's the problem*
1. He’s a parody
This is just trivia, none of this things are embarassing
Gaston Oviedo Wolverine Origins was pretty embarrassing.

rolfmbo
It's not embarrassing that he's a rip off?
Whatculture comics, what's the name of the song playing in the background? I've been looking for it for ages.
Lol deadpool killed x men origins deadpool in deadpool 2
They want to forgett he have "fans" who only know him because they saw the movie :)
If those fans bought merch, Marvel celebrates.
Evil Otto Well that yes but if they think is like R version of Spidey is bad :)
José David Catemac who cares how people found the character? They are allowed to enjoy the character without doing a load of extra reading.
"I'm the best deadpool fan.. I only saw the movie."
You did not even know him before the movie and now you're the best fan? Maybe a movie fan... But not a true fan.
I'm not saying you have to read every comic since the character was created, but atleast do some research before considering yourself as a fan. Yes, some people didn't know about the character and now they're big fans, but they took the time to read some comics to know more about the character. That's okay. But saying you're a fan of a 40 years old character just because you saw a movie is a bit stupid.
Sorry for bad english.
Nicolas S. Somebody gets it.
I doubt Al ever thought deadpool was light hearted and drama free.

no, Liefeld did not take it upon himself
in fact, deadpool as conceived by liefeld was JUST deathstroke
he did not have any of his comedic personality or ANY trace of the shit he is known for
he was a generic bad guy for the younger xmen team at the time
a deathstroke rip off
his fun personality, comedy and everything else was added LATER, by other writers
I'd suggest the Classic series from Joe Kelly (don't read the Priest ones, those are crap).

Yeah, I liked it too. And he DID come back running his own merc business...and morbidly obese
yeah, he just goofy a lot for his healing factor, but you can see he no forget nothing of that when he is more "serious", like when he wipeout ultimatun
please find different background music besides thunderfoot's outro song
Deadpool does so much crap that I don't think that there is much to not want to know about him
Deadpool singing "Smelly Cat" may be the funniest thing I've ever seen.
Micah-David Saunders Thanks 😂. Yea its developed so good. Love that run with him
Than he gave him Porno Magazines

Only thing that he wants marvel to forget is his last movie appearance before deadpool. Nuff said
Why would Marvel want us to forget that DP was fired as a Herald of Galactus!? That's awesome!
Lol he drove him crazy
You're new to this entire comic book thing I'm guessing.
Their were several fans that liked when Deadpool became normal. We all knew it was temporary but, it still gave us a glimpse to explore Wade if he didn't hate himself, and had if he a break.
I hate these lists. They don't want you to forget jack shit.
arkayen666123 yeah this video was complete trash
A big reason why Deadpool is popular is BECAUSE he had a very dark past and he used to be villain, while at the same time having a sense of humor. That's why he's such a cool hero unlike all the others who were goody two shoes at birth. When has anyone ever tried to hide that fact? Without that crucial element he would just be a ninja Spiderman.
"...and, number 1, X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

How it should have been
4:19 I hope you've seen Deadpool 2 and have seen how he sorted THAT DP out :D
Watching this i don´t think whoever made this video read a single Deadpool comic
Take me with you, it was real cool last time. And I wish I Never woke up from it, almost always here recently.
I love how DC has also added a character to Harlie Quinn's story called "Red Tool". A pardied parody. ^_^ Also I refuse to acknowledge that #6 ever really happened.
Is there a good list of the must read deadpool comics?
2:58 Jigsaw in the second season of the punisher !!!
Honestly, the part where he got fired by Galactis was funny as hell so it shouldn't be forgotten
1:05
You just cant convince me he looks like that
Deadpool losing his powers was one of the best and most hilarious arcs he had. He had to learn how to change his fighting style since he didn't have his healing factor to rely on, and he gradually got his brand-spankin' new face damaged and messed up into the way it was.
it's not unfortunate, it's part of his character, he's marvels walking talking joke
making him a mimic of slade is part of them jabbing at dc
and then DC made a jab at Marvel by introducing Redtool lol
“That time he lost his powers” *loses his powers in the movies* touché marvel
So we're not going to talk about the abusive relationship he has with Al? No? "The Box"?
4:25 in some comics can he also sort of teleport for very short distances.
I'm kinda similar, only I liked Barakapool less when I found out more about Deadpool. I like the film but am pretty indifferent towards that version.
kopitarrules The movie itself is a guilt pleasure really. The deadpool in the movie on the other well-
My favorite part is when he says Deadpool it's a ripoff, hilarious.
Life just wouldn't be the same without that Merc With A Mouth, Deadpool!!!!!!
And yet, even you “forgot” the biggest thing they like to sweep under the rug, that Deadpool is bisexual.
dafttool pansexual not bi.
Not Pan or, Bi, He's Omnisexual.
Actually according to Mr. Pool himself, he doesn't like to put labels on it
Think he'd Just think he's ...'sexual.'
A couple things:
Deadpool Vs carnage, kills the marvel universe and Deadpool kills Deadpool are also great.
LanskiGER She-Hulk too, I guess she ripped her own comic page before.
gweenpool and any other pools also
I would argue about not wanting "darkness" in Deadpool's character, his fantastic solo run had a lot of that in the 90's, and a lot of heart too.
He isn't a rip-off. He's a parody. Know the difference
He is a rip-off.
He WAS a rip-off. Now he's a parody.
When Liefeld made him he was basically "Deathstroke, but Marvel."
Thankfully, since then, he's evolved into a distinct character of his own, serving more as a parody of Deathstroke than anything else.
Florence MacKenna He was never a parody. They had to put humor because people were catching on. #TheMoreYouKnow
The creator even admitted he was a rip off...
Agent X. Doesn't get any more underrated than that.
no one should ever compare Deadpool to a hero, at most he is an anti-hero
If he'd use any way to describe himself, he'd just say "fuck you, I'm deadpool" A whole class of it's own
I love Deathstroke and I am glad that someone brought it up.
You never readed the comics xd
Deadpool being a deathstroke parody makes it even funnier.
Deapool can teleport.
Technically, he can do that because of a belt, but I haven't read the comics, so I don't know if that's an official thing, or something only from the videogame
yeah the teleporting is a gadget he has, not a power. much like his many, many weapons and a technological 'bag of holding', if memory serves
doesnt he have teleportation belt in his magig pocket of infinite armaments or something
Weird. I totally just recognized your background music from one of my all time favorite videos, about how Oreos are Unmade. Is that the generic music supplied by some video editing program?
