Sucks he was injured a lot last few seasons w eagles he should have better all time stats cause he was so consistently clutch and versatile. Wish they used him more like how they did in New Orleans that first year n eagles first year. Mf was averaging like 7 yards a carry as a 3rd down back 😭😭🐐
Being 5 foot 5 playing high school ball 2010-2012 there’s nobody that I looked up to more . This was my guy , this is who I wanted to be . He gave all us little guys so much hope .
Announcers would say "He Is Their Darren Sproles". To me that was a Hall Of Fame Compliment in that Darren was so unique and original NFL teams did their best to find someone like him, but they never did. He needs to be in Canton.
Love this. Also, we gotta give Reggie bush some credit for this as well as when DS was brought to NO they said he was there to fill the role and be their Reggie bush!
I would say that Maurice Jones Drew was very close. Actually I was way off lol. Maurice Jones Drew was an even bigger beast lol. Similar stature, but different build.
From a British perspective Darren Sproles makes me think of the now retired Welsh rugby union player Shane Williams. He was an inch taller than Sproles but with his pace and 'slipperiness' he holds the Welsh record for international tries (touch downs) in a game generally dominated by BIG men--58 tries in 89 games for Wales--which of course doesn't take into account the tries he 'set up' for other scorers.
It's the best when the little guy is successful in big guy sports. Darren Sproles, Isaiah Thomas, and Trindon Holliday make me feel like I can do anything lol *Not a huge Rugby fanatic, but I appreciate the sport. Just watched Shane Williams highlights. I will add him to my undersized athlete list lol
Darren sproles low key goat He really didn't like the broncos he dogged them seems like every game If he is a HOF put Brian Mitchell to with him the same damn time
at 335 number 41; should of been fired for trying. Repeat trying to tackle...looks kind of fake ...football you go for the ankles as a defense of player....me im a free safety 1 on 1 your going down pimp on capital G O ..you know the rest
Like if Sproles is a Hall of Famer
Should be a future hall of famer
They didn't fucken put him on the ballot this is bullshit
no doubt
He will be

If he's not shame on the NFL there is no way someone #6 all time all purpose yards in the NFL shouldn't be in the hof.

Respect
Him and Jose Altuve!
One hell of a career. A dynamic playmaker for all three of his teams.
A great player who was vastly underrated his whole career
Sproles had quite a few game winners, and definitely helped River's career
It sickened me when the Chargers didn't re-sign him. Great, vastly underrated player and one of the all-time yardage leaders, to boot!
Went on to have his best season with Brees and the Saints. He'll always be a Chargers legend tho!

Y’all go check out Deuce Vaughan that the Cowboys just drafted
Dude showed me that a shorter player can play at the next level at the Pacific Life Holiday Bowl vs ASU. Thanks for that inspiration D! 💯
The turnover of his stride is faster than any running back I've ever seen. Also, the best footwork I've seen in a running back. Awesome career!!!
Thanks for posting this, Jag.
Sproles is one hell of a player, the NFL won't be the same without him.
No reason those Charger teams shouldn't have won a ring. They had talent all over the field.
If I knew I had a chance in making it to the nfl at 5’6 I would’ve attempted but went with boxing

He was so fun to watch
One of my favorite players all time
This makes you ask the question, how good is Phillip rivers, and how good is sproles at saving rivers ass
Lil tank. He sure did piss me off in the big 12 championship against the sooners. He sure was good though
One thing I can say about this video..
This man LOVED playing against Denver 😂😂
Lol, u noticed it 2
Yes a hall of famer for sure! I played with him as a linebacker in high school. Had to try and tackle him everyday. Dude is a beast! lol
15:28 I know this video is about Darren Sproles but that is literally a perfect block
Great player! Excellent at knowing and recognizing block, or go. On top of that, he didn't need to make dudes miss.....he was already gone
Every time i see him run i hear that sound the Flintstones' feet make when they start their car.
Magnificent career. HOF!!
This is a long highlight video👌🏽
Beast
I love these videos your making.
16 minutes of nothing but D.S. highlights dude was underrated and overlooked long enough… Hall Of Fame
#43 D Sproles very underrated RB a beast in special teams the defense could not keep up with him QUIK running ability as RB and special teams
i love you darren sproles
We should kept him 🤦🏾♂️ him and LT was beasting
you need to make more videos like this !
Kansas State used to be fun to play with on NCAA with Sproles and also Ell Roberson at QB. People around 31 and up probably remember
"It's 21-3" on his 21st TD...
I dunno if he's a HoFer but Im open to being convinced
Darren Sproles is literally the 🐐
Dude was so little it was actually very difficult for players to get their hands on him 😂😂
I was at Qualcomm vs Colts . What a game
Darren sproles proves size isn't everything. 5 foot 6, and he still had a great long nfl career
I never understood why the team he played for should've at least won or made it to the superbowl
Because his play and speed is very scary
who wants it the most
2:28 lmao roasted the hell out of the raiders
The chargers were really nice when they was in SD
1st ballot. Ask anyone who played against him.
MIGHTY MOUSE
Even his name sounds fast.
He so tiny and fast that it look like he’s getting fast forward editing 😅
Darren sproles low key goat
He really didn't like the broncos he dogged them seems like every game
If he is a HOF put Brian Mitchell to with him the same damn time
Man I see Nyheim Hines plays exactly like him.
#GoBoltsdom!
derrick sproles retiring
