I've been using this curriculum for just a few weeks, and I'm fairly happy with it, but many of the activities are designed for multiple children and I have one. The lessons end up pretty short because there isn't the "classroom" type interaction you would get with several children. I have been combining two lessons into one, but I also don't want to go too fast for good retention. Just thought I'd mention this ...

Earlier in the year we purchased live classes with Homeschool Spanish academy but it’s not a good fit for my little one, as the lessons are not as nice and interactive and can be overwhelming with vocabulary and phrases all at once. I can tell already my daughter will do well with this. And it looks well designed. This is great! Thanks again for this incredible review.

My kids were both in Spanish Immersion in public school so my older son is 2 years ahead of my younger one and is much more advanced. Thanks so much.
Yes, but if your older son was in an immersion program he may be more advanced than the last level. I would do the free trial and see if the fourth level is still a challenge for him.

We’ve used Song School Latin before and enjoy it. Now we are using Jam with Latin, which builds on the training from Classical Conversations Latin. It wouldn’t make sense to use Jam with Latin unless you were doing Classical Conversations. But Classical Academic Press (who makes Song School Latin) has a next level Latin program for children as well.
Do you know of any other languages offered similar to this method? You mentioned teaching your kids Latin. I was thinking of Arabic or Hebrew. Any that you have heard of? (My child is 8 years old.)
I’m sorry but I don’t know of any products for those languages. Maybe try on some homeschool groups of Facebook. At least you’ll be able to get some recs for products and then you can research them. That’s how I first learned about Calico Spanish.
We are still using it. We can have a simple conversation with the vocab we learn (and that’s part of the lessons). I wouldn’t say they can talk to others with fluency. They can only talk to others who know what vocab they know.
@@RVHomeschool Do you find that it moves a little too slow. Repetition is good, but I think it has more then my five year old boys need. They learn the words really quick. Maybe I just feel like that because we just started. Maybe as we go on it will be more challenging and we will appreciate the repetition
Not daily worksheets but probably once every five or six lessons. More frequently there is a handsome activity; - might be a game they play in the lesson. Or, as is the case in our lesson tomorrow, the kids cut our finger puppets of the characters.

These are good points. I like how the next days lesson will review some past items - so you could combine two lessons and it would work.

I don’t believe so, but the songs are available in Apple Music and Spotify so you can listen to the songs in the car, etc.

Probably try to do something immersive. By then they should have good vocabulary and be able to hold a conversation.

No, we haven’t tried Rosetta Stone so I cannot do a comparison.
I tried rossetta for my daughter and it was not kid friendly in my opinion.
Is this ipad friendly? Or does she need the laptop?
It works from a browser, not an app, but you could use an iPad.
