So I'm not Jewish, but this was a fantastic family meal. I just made all of these except the carrot salad. Substituted with cucumber due to carrot allergy. Everything was delicious. Thank you and Shalom my new favorite RUclipsr.
Yay, thanks so much for this amazing comment, so glad you loved the meal. Hope you check out our website and subscribe to our email list to get more of our recipes.
Jamie Geller the carrot salad looks great! My mom makes a meal called chicken oreganta it’s an Italian meal much like the chicken. We use cheese on it which isn’t kosher but you can not add it. Take the chicken same way shove fresh basil in if! She made it last nightz
The julienne carrots with hot sauce, garlic etc. can be grated quickly in the food processor so dont have to julienne for hours.Or you can cook whole carrots and slice them, then use same sauce as on the raw carrots, its different texture but just as good. Thanks for all the excellent recipes.
I think I have the same tea set those little cups that had the date honey in them came from. Cost Plus, yeah? I LOVE Carrot salad. I add a little bit of red wine vinegar to add a little extra sweet-tart kick. I think I'm going to basically make this menu tonight. Shabbat Shalom!
The pudding though... I'm not Jewish, but I am a diabetic. This pudding would be perfect dessert for me. I love your videos!!! Thank you for what you do!!
Thanks for ideas!. I was there was a way to avoid the use of so much oil! I don't even use cooking spray as has canola!. Olive oil is healthy but too much not good and very caloric. Great ideas and I like your enthusiasm.
Jamie Geller I made it for shabbos and again afterwards to try and make some better notes. The first time I found the carrot salad to be little bitter and earthy so the second time I added some raisins and coriander with less parsley and that was a real hit with my parents. The chicken definitely needs to be browned on all sides before braising, and the second time I added some dried chillis and cumin to the vegetables and the flavours were way more vibrant and enjoyable. The malabi was great though I can’t have nut milks and soya and rice milks were flavour disasters but it turns out oat milk is the way to go! I’ll definitely make this all again after Tisha B’av
@@jamietate3526 Thanks so much for the specific notes, love to see other suggestions. And so good to know about the oat milk, it's also good with coconut milk, but richer and fattier.
I am surprised no one has answered you in the last 5 mos. Cous cous is not gluten free, it is semolina just like pasta. You can use quinoa though...that's gluten free.
Since Microwaves are not healthy to use can I make this pudding on the stove top? Also, can I sub arrowroot powder or potatoe starch for the baking powder?
If you grow your own veg, this can be a really good quarantine meal. Onions and garlic last a long time. The tomatoes and chickpeas are tinned. Couscous can last for years.
How would I make the Malabi if I don't have a microwave oven? (also, are there any substitutes I can use for date honey, as I am not sure as to the availability of it for me. thanks.)
Todah! I made the chicken this weekend. It was wonderful, a big hit. I fed a big crowd so I doubled the recipe and threw in extra kale. I also made your Shiitake Mushroom Lo Mein. Fantastic. Couldn't find Lo Mein noodles, so substituted thin spaghetti. No one minded.
Shalom, i have a question about the choclate pudding, do you have to put it in the microwave or can you leave it in the pan, since it needs warming up?
I was thinking the same what about the fish the challah the soup the salad the cholent etc it takes alot longer then a hour but what you did make does look great
Do you ever wash your hands. You must have couscous, salt, pepper, parsley and more all over your floor… but nice dress, makeup and jewelry to cook your shabbat meal in under an hour 😒
There was a carrot salad. She has said she doesn't always do soup with kids. There is no challah but that does take more than an hour, make different day? If you must have fish it doesn't take especially long. If you wanted soup you could use a freezer version from a double batch and reheat.

Awesome! Is there a way of making the pudding without using a microwave?
Yes, you can make it on a stove top with basically the same directions just whisking on low heat until thickened.
Thank you for sharing I love food from Israel 🇮🇱 😘your food look so good !!!
Thanks, we love Israeli food too, will keep it coming because of comments like this
So, do you serve the chicken cold or transfer it to a hot plate or a crock pot to keep it hot until dinner?
Yeahhhh gluten free sabbath meal! Thank you!
I am surprised no one has answered you in the last 5 mos. Cous cous is not gluten free, it is semolina just like pasta. You can use quinoa though...that's gluten free.
YUM i had this tonight thanks x
Amazing!!!
Since Microwaves are not healthy to use can I make this pudding on the stove top? Also, can I sub arrowroot powder or potatoe starch for the baking powder?
Yes and yes, just cook and whisk often over low heat. Any thickening starch will work.
Thank you for sharing.

Very true!
Great as always. Where can I find corn starch in Israel?
It is called Corn Flour in Israel, you can find it in the baking section of most stores.
Hola buenas noches.

Tu canal es muy bueno.
¡Deseo éxito!

I love your videos. Would you consider cooking a Brisket in a Pressure Cooker.
Yes, it would be great, although I am not experienced with a pressure cooker I know it would work well.
Can I make the malabi with hazelnut milk instead? Thank you :)
Yum, that sounds great, any kind of milk will work
If you don't like olives, is there a substitute?
I didn't quite catch what that ingredient was, before the capers, for the side dish?
geller shes the best cooked in the world
I'm blushing

No special brand, they are all good
😀. ↪. 👍👍. ↩. 😀
A year later and I watch this video again; where's Jamie Geller ? ✌
Here I am, keep watching.😄
How would I make the Malabi if I don't have a microwave oven? (also, are there any substitutes I can use for date honey, as I am not sure as to the availability of it for me. thanks.)
Yes, it is very easy to make on the stove top too, just whisk over low heat. Feel free to use regular honey or even sugar.
Really miss your vids!
Just posted a new one - make sure to watch and share.
Wow
My chik peas were very hard. Was I supposed to prep them somehow? I'm new to kosher
You should be using canned or already cooked chickpeas, if you used dried then they would not cook in this amount of time. Sorry.
The recipe link goes to the Potato Kugel cups
If you click the link in the description it takes you to the full menu with game plan and all the recipes

@@MorahJudy Yay, so happy to hear it on all counts. Thanks
hi
Shalom, i have a question about the choclate pudding, do you have to put it in the microwave or can you leave it in the pan, since it needs warming up?
What is "EVOO"?
Why is your Schug red when all the sauces I see are green?
As my buppi always said, "You can't milk a chicken."
LOL, no you can't
Have you ever thought to make your pudding with fig honey?
Actually I have never seen fig honey
1 cup = 237 ml ?
Yup
Don t squeeze lemmon over your diamont engagement ring!!
Oh, yeah, good point, I will watch that.
❤️️
Of course it's fast...everything is already chopped and measured!
Yes, but we did it in under 10 minutes this way, you can still do it all with the chopping in under 60.
galnamedtal exactly
galnamedtal good point but regardless It will still take an hr because the video is 8 min

Do you ever wash your hands. You must have couscous, salt, pepper, parsley and more all over your floor… but nice dress, makeup and jewelry to cook your shabbat meal in under an hour 😒

You could just buy the challah
