First time viewer here. I am Protestant and know basically nothing about Shabbat. I am amazed by your organizational skills! Everything looks yummy! but most of all I am impressed to see a family who really puts God at the center of their family life. The world could use more of this.

The sheer energy, time, effort, work that you do on a weekly basis no less is astonishing to see. Many women would have fallen over more than once after such amount of work. The shopping, the cleaning, the prep, the cooking, the setting up, the, packing, the unpacking, the baking, the serving, then the clean up in between, the cleanup after wards only to turn around and do it all over again plus your a full time wife, mother and you have a job. 😲 Your able to stand all put together at the end of it all. My sister if anyone ever represented a super woman it is you!!!

The Shabbat is just but one of the Father's Commandments found in the book of Exodus.
I do not wish to cause you grief but...you have broken one. (In this day and age, many...many take His name in vain when they say, "om_".) So many people use the expression that it becomes common place. God is not common. He is to be respected. Special. Lifted up above.
🌿🌺🌿 May He continue to bless & keep you in your journey for truth.💕

Hi, @Sonya’s Prep. I am a Greek Orthodox Christian but share your enthusiasm for sourdough bread. When the pandemic started, there was zero bread in the stores in So. Calif. I made a sourdough starter and pulled my Sears Kenmore bread machine out of storage to make the dough and prepare the sourdough bread. I am still loving the sourdough bread I make in my bread machine, even though your bread is much prettier!
I have noticed that sourdough bread stays fresh for at least a week due to its particular properties. That’s a great benefit since I am making the bread just for myself and my 89-year-old mother. Also, it’s DELICIOUS. Keep up the good work!

But yeah my maternal Nana was actually adopted when she was 4 and had no idea about being Jewish. She was born in England and the adoption agency wrote down that her dad was some Spanish guy. A total lie I've since found out. Obviously... Lol. They never wanted the kids really finding the parents, especially back then. Nanas mother Annie did try to keep her, she had her for 4 years. Sadly Nana was adopted in January 1941 right around the time of ww2. Both my Nana and my mum passed away before I found out. I was actually so gutted because my mum was gifted a star of David necklace from her fiance (his name was David) before she met my dad, he was killed in a motorbike accident before they ever got to marry. She had that necklace for like 40 years. I only wish she knew it could have ment something else for her too. She would have been so proud.

As a Croatian/Slovak Christian I was raised to always have a Sunday lunch prepared for when we return from our church. Ours would always consist of a soup, boiled meats from the soup which would get eaten with bread and horseradish, then either a roast of some kind or fried meat with potatoes and salad also followed by some kind of homemade cake, fritters, donuts or a roulade. Interesting. My paternal grandfather was Jewish but my grandmother was not. But I see a similarity. Thanks for sharing your ways of honoring and remembering God into your family life and home.

I love how you are mindful of having everything done before the setting of the sun on Friday's, we should be careful to not trample on the edges of the Sabbath.
We should take all week to prepare for the upcoming Sabbath, this includes preparing spiritually as well as preparing food for our stomachs.
    Many blessings.....

Hi K I would love to know more of where you have been learning and what is involved and all. I’m very interested myself in understanding and learning, Christian here too I would say but we don’t go to a church at this time and I’ve never felt like a certain religion but want to find myself and my journey. My son wants to go to church but I don’t like or feel the Christian Churches near us as I don’t think we should have to give 10% of our income to our church as that’s not the church I remember growing up 8n and just giving what we could not so much of our income, that’s so strange to me that would be what god wants from us and or if that’s just so the pastors can live in cushy homes and have nice lives? I am on disability pay so if I give 10% of my income I would literally be homeless for me and my family. I’m just not down with this new church deal so I’ve been looking into finding myself and religion based on everything I see and believe in. Was just curious why you all have been curious too?

My husband and I are not Jewish by birth but we do live a Torah obedient life. We observe Shabbat, celebrate all of HIS commanded Feasts and even enjoy celebrating the observance of Hanukkah. We adhere to dietary laws with regards to not eating unclean foods and enjoy our weekly/daily studies. Our lives have never been more fuller & enriched & our hearts, minds, & souls feel joyful. I believe this is what the Father always wanted for us. We look forward to Shabbat, never feeling burdened. We are much happier in the last 10 yrs and always growing. I wish you the best in your journey.

Watching your video has given me so much hope that people of faith are continuing to worship. On Saturday I cook our Sunday meals so we can observe a day of rest.
