Not a lot of people know that the most vegan-friendly country in the world is Israel. With a vegan population of over 5% and a huge amount of dishes that are naturally vegan this is a herbivore paradise. We hade a president and commander in chief that are vegetarian. In the army we have special menu for vegan and vegetarian soldiers And basically we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables daily. If you are vegans come visit us! 🇮🇱😁
Love this! I've been vegetarian for 20 years and used to hang with a bunch of vegans, including a really chill Jewish couple. They introduced me to kasha varnishkes a few years into my being vegetarian, and I've been hooked ever since!
I Love everything about these shabbat ideas! I try to eat plant based no animal products as much as possible for climate and health. Not always possible but I don't get too serious about it. This gives me some new things to ponder about this eating style in terms of Judaism ❤ and ofc new recipes:) thanks for sharing 😀!!
This is awesome, Marion. I didn’t know about the JIFA, so that’s a helpful tip. I like the ‘default’ strategy: my family tend to eat little to no meat during the week so we can enjoy our Shabbat chicken as a special treat. As you said; even reducing meat/animal consumption among us flexitarians/carnivores is already a mitzvah, even if we don’t become fully vegetarian or vegan. I’ve started a new tradition of going vegan for the month of Shevat and I vlogged it on my channel this time round. Shabbat meals were definitely the most challenging! :-) Thank you for this content.
Hi Marion, thank you for this video and for sharing information about the Jewish Initiative for Animals. Your focus on vegetarianism in this video is so timely for me, as we just got a new vegan cookbook at the bookstore where I work. I have been thinking of purchasing it because I do want to add more vegetable-focused meals to my weekly meal plan. (It's difficult, though, because my husband is a total meat-and-potatoes guy). :) Your recipes look delicious!
Does your hair grown an inch a day? As a Carnivore I thank and appreciate every animal that gives their lives to me and my husband. It’s part of traditional Native American Culture to eat seasonally but protein is something that can be eaten year round. Your dishes look lovely.
Love, love, love animals. Not a vegetarian, but I am very concerned that any animal be killed humanely. I am so against factory farming. I love adding vegetarian sides to my mostly fish and chicken diet. Never becoming vegan, however. My fave animal? Dogs! Yours are too cute for words. Haven't seen them lately..😘🐕
I have an air fryer still in it's package from Christmas. I need to open it, and learn how to use it. I got it for chicken. My mom might like this website. :) My nephew likes Marco Polo but not Skype.
Years ago, a neighbor of mine gave me a recipe for a cucumber salad dressing. I really liked it, but I could tell by the looks on their faces that this dressing was a fail. I made it with cucumbers and whatever seasoning I felt like then. You need a food processor for the cucumbers.
I'm pescatarian. Fish and sea food. My mom is vegan. I keep telling her to go to the seventh day Adventist church, they practice veganism. The one friend I used to have was vegan, but she became Catholic. Nothing against Catholics, but I will never convert. I was Lutheran for 2 year, Mormon for like 10 yers before that, and now I'm Christian. They probably wouldn't accept me, just like neither would the Jewish.

Hello! I am contemplating conversion and I have a question: At what point during conversion do you need to move into a Jewish community?
Years ago, a neighbor of mine gave me a recipe for a cucumber salad dressing. I really liked it, but I could tell by the looks on their faces that this dressing was a fail. I made it with cucumbers and whatever seasoning I felt like then. You need a food processor for the cucumbers.

Hi Marion, do you think Jews are better people than Christians?
After the flood, G-d told Noah humans were commanded to eat meat.
I love theese recipies. ( they are vegitarian, honey is not vegan ;) )
Pleass; vegan diet does not include eggs, cheese and any animal origin food.
