I respect you sharing the "ugly" stage of the process I really like your methodical approach and it gives me some nice food for thought about my upcoming bachelor project, so thank you for that!
Maybe focusing on the star in the telescope could be a minigame of its own? Like you have to physically switch out lenses and figure out which one brings it into focus, or the image is tripled and you have to rotate knobs to line it up into one image? I'm enjoying the Dev Logs, thanks for posting these 🙂
I really like the prototype look because it shows what you are thinking in term of level design while not making it cluttered with the visuals, and makes it easier to follow along with a lot of the logic and game flow as just being 'this box does this' and 'this cylinder does this' instead of the models.
Great video! I do like this type of chill and authentic devlog that show more of your character and the thinking process behind the different parts of the game. Super cool and inspiring stuff.
Looking nice so far! But please tell me there's going to be some way to swivel the whole telescope around to look at different areas of the sky (maybe with a mini puzzle?), I think that would be really fun.
I already really like devlogs like this! It's more motivating to see someone with more experience also be in this stage for a while, like you said, other devs make it seem like they always have something beautiful to show, but they're probably in this stage for a long time too! Lekker bezig! hoe deed die die prototyping qua level aan het begin, is dat een addon? Of standard Godot? Doe eigenlijk alleen maar dingen in 2D zelf.
Man, really digging these devlogs. Good balance of showing your workflow in Godot and how you think about the design of your game. Keep up the good work!
Hi Lukky!! Nice to see that Endeavor is going great!! I love the way that you are developing your game, it gives me great ideas for my upcoming project development! Thank you for all your help and content!
Suggestion for the music: make it a gramophone where players can manually change the disk (and for aesthetic)... or a jukebox if the player prefers automated music playing... :)
One thing that could be cool/funny is if the triangulation step was not about finding the exact location of the ship but rather finding which constellation the ship has become a part of from the perspective of the character's home planet. Then the computer could spit out astrology quotes along with the useful info.
Haha I'm working on a game called Endeavordial (in Godot) rn... Was actually thinking of switching to Endeavor, but I guess that's out of the question now XD

I really enjoy these devlogs. It's always great seeing a demonstration of CSG shapes for prototyping.

Happy I subscribed to you. Excited to see how this comes along
0:00 most satisfying thing ever, I love it
I love watching your work flow! It's so organized and clean!

This is super interesting! Cool to the prototyping
that prototype looks promising!
Can't wait to see more!

What plugins are you using for your godot? Mine looks completely differenty when making shapes with csgboxes
I love videos like these, they really motivate me!

You appear to be red-green color blind my friend. At 3:00 when you are setting your textures you have a green dev grid texture labeled "dev_grid_red".
What is the brand of your laptop?
