Nice to see clean Honda’s that aren’t riced out.
Doesnt matter what my man seth works on... Hes a very talented individual and i feel i learn so much more when he speaks about the honda chassis.... Keep it coming seth.... Were all behind you and your builds...
Respect one of the few videos that actaully break everything down and make it that much more easier to do
I like the change in pace with this suspension install!
Finally someone shows how to put on coil overs and adjust them while on the vehicle. Finally
One of the best videos on how to install coilovers! You show every step and edit the video perfectly! Too often videos leave out essential steps or have poorly shot angles. Seriously, thank you! You’re saving me about $500-700 since I’m confident I can do this myself, thanks to your video. One of my favorite things is that you show every wheel and every coilover, instead of just saying “now repeat the steps,” because sometimes issues happen like with those rear bolts. Rarely do people show when issues come up and how to solve them. Everything about this DIY installation guide is amazing! Please continue to make videos like this! Liking and subscribing with notifications on is a no brainer.
Thanks for the feedback and kind words!
I just got me a set for my mk7 golf this video gave me faith cause sooo many video hating on the Maxpeedingrods I just want the dropped look so Thanks again 🙏
I can’t wait to pick up my crx Seth!! I have had suspension for one for 15 years and now I’m confident I can do it now thanks to you!!!
Good luck!
Am i the only one who thinks you deserve more subs and views! Great work!
Just installed mine! Same coilovers and subframe with lower control arms for my 2000 Honda Civic EX . Had some trouble found ur video and now it’s dropped perfectly how I like it 👌
9 months later, still good? Thinking of getting these for my 2000 EX as well.
@@instillthefear yessir still good !
What brand subframe is it?
Nice clean EK love the new coilovers and the control arms job well done 👌👊
We need more CRX content
More to come!
Im telling you these are the BEST budget build coilovers. I had ksport and these ride way smoother and have lasted me for like 1 year and a few months so far no issues. Fully recommend these.
hey any issues 2 years later? debating on these or just going with godspeed/teins
first video of yours I've ever watched. had me sold the first 45 seconds. subbed bro. ur killing the clean game
Thanks for joining!
Hell yea looks dope af, perfect ride height 🔥👏🙌
This channel needs more subs and views.. RUclips please recommend this channel more.
great video best tutorial on this brand so far
Damn man, those CRX's are so effin clean!!!
I wish i had a friend like you man 🥇
These hondas are looking good I'm going to get me 95 or 96 not sure yet but love the work 👍🏽👍🏽😎
Great taste in cars and music 🔥
Im glad i kept the bolts off the rear of my old dc2. I plan on putting my itr coilovers and rear control arms on my eg sedan this summer. I know they are going to snap.
ive got a set of these coilovers for my 90 crx i cant wait to get them installed
Make sure the top center bolt is tighten. Mine came in loose and caused the preload issue. Keep up the great work
I’ll let Dustin know!
我來自香港睇晒你所有片,好正呀
First! Nice to see an EK on the channel. Great memories with that chassis.
Maybe one day I’ll actually buy one.
@@crxseth that would be a great addition 👍
Nice work, wish I had friends like you!
Nice civic mines a ej8 red thought and has a b20V swap with also the same coilovers good work Seth you the man💯
Appreciate it!
Those bolts probably cost close to what the coilovers price...not hating 🤪 I have MaxPeeding on all my rides right now..they work good. Balling on a budget. Much respect to what you're doing.
Lots of fun great vid
Was about to install these coilovers on my integra today really quickly until i seen you guys struggle with those rear control arm bolts. i said nah my bad luck that will be me and a car stuck on jackstands in the cold. Ill order some new control arms and bolts then tackle it Friday lol. great video!! suscribed
One thing that also helps is the following tool! It is a serious life saver! Expensive, but worth it.

@@crxseth Nice! ive heard of these. will buy
Good work Seth...
This was a great video
I just got mine on my 06 civic today very easy install little tricky on how to get the preset set up in the front to make it low af and still ride smooth but we got it and same on back but it’s ticking rim in front and almost in back and it’s smoothest ride I ever had on a slammed car 😊
Old tucking is the word that is ticking just so you know bro
Your work is clean and neat. Really appreciate it
I am planning to get a set of coilovers for my sedan ES civic 2004 and I think I will go for that one.
However, do I need to get the Lower control arm and the lower sub or the stock ones should be fine ?
I’m not familiar with that chassis.
I ordered these exact ones off eBay and they didn’t come with that thing you slide onto the fork and now they don’t fit. Any ideas where I can get them or anything else I could use?
Great info, thanks!
love your video, just wondering what size were those bolts and nuts for the LCA. thanks in advanced.
amzn.to/3zjd3kN
i install my coilover sleeve but im getting a very bumpy ride on rough road that i dont like can some one tell me how can i fix it
did you even block the wheels when you jacked up the back of that ek?
Идеальная малышка, любите ее и берегите, она сейчас редкость😌
Lol I’m glad you make it look easy, gives me some hope
Don’t get me wrong. This job was not easy.
@@crxseth 😂😂😂 could’ve fooled me dude thank god for editing tho right?
This job takes on a different persona when those bolts broke off. Ask me how I know.
@@timwilliams4739 😂😂😂 yeahhhhh, I’ve had rear suspension for a few months now that I’m not excited about putting in. Seth gave me more anxiety
Bru I just bought some with out the sleeve know if I can get them any how
I just got the same ones. I need to tune them but pretty good for the price
Mine are way to soft
Now the left side is lower then the right side!🤣
Wish y’all would of did some painting on the shock forks. Nbd
It gets repetitive after a while! Haha. Gotta cut some things out. This was just a quick temporary installation. His long term plan is to find a better shell.
...also, GREAT camera work! Is that you as well? Where do you have the time? Perfection.
Thanks! Yes, it definitely takes a ton of time doing it yourself!
I was screaming at the screen "DONT GET THE BREAKER BAR!!!!!" ......... SNAP!
Had to do something! Haha. At least when it breaks, we know we have to cut it out.
That happened to mine today bro now I know what I’m have to do shit sucked tbh lol I was damn it ! Your great on showing what you do much appreciative keep up the amazing work bro
Your friend is JDM af now.
Thank you 😊
Just broke my LCA bolt too right after watching this video. Did you find replacement bolt locally ?? Please let me know
No, we had to order some online.
Also we did see 2 boxes of the coil overs, is the other one for the CRX!
I believe I will be using the other one for my budget EG sedan.
Clean.
Did you notice there being a large gap with where the bottom of the rear shock and lower control arm meets? Im referring to when you install the bolt. If I go any tighter, the metal legs on the shock are going to start bending inwards.
You may need spacers. The kit comes with these spacers.
@crxseth 30 seconds after I asked I saw a video and was like aaaaaah that's what those washers were for. Definitely a blonde moment
All the other things are those needed or more recommended? Beside the set of coils
Probably a set of camber adjustment arms for the rear and possibly front camber adjustment arms.
Was having a hard time with that fork bolt had to shave some of the adapter off to make a slight groove. Also rear lower control arm needed a bolt for shock.
Yeah, there are some quirks to work out. I guess when you get the budget stuff it requires some more work.
Having this issue on the front too. Pain in the ass. Haven’t got to the back yet.
very good 😍😍😍
Hows the ride on these maxpeeding coilovers? Also, I see there’s gold, red & silver, is there a difference to them, other than the colour, as I see there’s a price difference too.
Your feedback will be appreciate man
They have adjustable dampening ones and non adjustable dampening ones. The colors are just colors. These actually almost ride like factory. Much softer than other coilovers but not bad, in my opinion. I have them set to full stiff.
@@crxseth thanx for getting back to me, I appreciate the feedback. Sounds like they are worth the money you pay for them 👌🏻 I’m from South Africa, will def get them ordered up for my EK Civic 🤘🏻
you can never use a bar on the rear trailing arm bolts. always breaks lol.
I had to use those sleeves for the fork on my eg civic
I got the updated of these for my 96 hatch and the adaptors for the front don’t fit on the control arm. Had to sand them down inside the ring which was a bitch.
How exactly did you take the bolts out?
What bolts?
Did you use a new set of bolts for coilovers and subframe?
A couple of them were new because of having to cut them to remove them.
Do I need the sleeves on the front coilovers for my 2000 ej6 sedan? Also what are the washers for that come with the coil overs? Thanks.
Yes for the sleeves. Washers are for rear control arms for certain cars.
@@crxseth thanks. I got mine installed. I had to sand the paint off the front coilovers to get them to slide into the sleeve and I had to use the washers on the rear. But the caris sitting nice and rides nice.
did the rear suspension components come with hardware?
No.
Those bolts for the rear lca ALWAYS break.
Dude. I just broke mine literally after watching this video.
Can I get a replacement local anywhere ? Or would I have to order it online?
@11:25 Do you need all these when installing coilovers
No, not 100% necessary.
🔥🔥🔥
What rims are on the silver crx
Konig Helium
Preload suppension time
Nice Ek! Not so nice bolts though. Glad we don’t see that stuff in AZ.
Damn I haven’t seen someone use a corded impact gun on RUclips ever😂😂😂
🤣
Did you add camber kit?
No. I may need to, though, if the camber is too far off. Might just space out the OE camber arm some.
How many inches u lower all around
We didn’t measure. Just went by sight.
Meticulous again Seth! However I expected you to clean and paint everything in the wheel wells.
Soo true about the corrosion and never thought about the spray.
The thing is ... if you don't know you won't do it and if your mechanic is doing the work he may not care as it's to get it done quick and to move onto the next job, it makes no difference to them.
This was just a quick suspension install on a chassis that he might be replacing soon due to having over half a million miles! We didn’t want to invest too much time into it. :)
Should’ve greased them pillow ball mounts on the fronts before installing them
Anyone have fitment measurements?
Hey make sure to look at the coilover a couple thousand miles after the install I ordered a set and the damper itself was leaking right out the box. Customer service tried sending me a damper itself so I could fix it. Had to bed them to replace the entire coilover and was charged a total of $50 extra for the shipping for them to send me a full coilover replacement. Been a week and a half since I got the package still waiting on the coil. Buddy came into the shop yesterday for an alignment he has an s14 kouiki said he just ínstalled his set and one of his rear coilsare already leaking the same oil that came in my set. My set was for a 98 civic coupe.
I’ll definitely let him know!
Yo where's his sway bar for the rear? Its missing it completely 😧
It definitely needs one!
I was never a fan of slammed to ground on my own cars. I like looking at other people’s slammed to the ground cars...lol
Hey Those the coilovers already comes pre load?
Yeah
Any update on this kit? Any leaks??
A bit softer than other coilovers, but comfortable and no leaks yet.
What are your wheel and tire specs?
How are those maxspeedrod holding up?
Honestly, I sold this car a couple years ago so I’m not sure.
Need to get a new set of coilovers ive seen few other RUclipsers use max speeding rod my question is in ride quality in a daily driver
🔥🔥🔥💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🇵🇷🇵🇷❤️
I just broke those exact bolts out bro. like 3 days ago... I haven't even gone back into the garage because I'm still pissed off. how in the fuck did you get those out
This car is super clean underneath. No rust or corrosion. I would recommend this tool for future use. It’s a lifesaver.
amzn.to/3ut7jFY
I had same experience! I broke the free bolt inside the welded nut on the car. Now I have to replace all bolts took me a week to reinstall
Life's to short to keep your car stock
🎬🎞📸📽🎶😍😁👍
Needs a sir lip...
It’s actually on the way!
Great!!! Thx for replaying I'm a subscriber from deadbeat garage superb job on the gray crx, ciao from Italy...
My EF is so low I had to flip the lower tie bar upside down for ground clearance 😂
I told Dustin he better be careful or he might snag on something!
@@crxseth absolutely.
If you need any OEM discontinued parts from Japan use this site.
I’ve ordered tons of stuff for my 91 EF.

@@realitycheck3672 yes I use them as well. Good form stuff but it took a while to get it not sure if it was due to the pandemic. I eventually got what I needed.
@@gordoneversley6881 yeah it’s because of the PlanDemic.
They were offering lower shipping options but because of the PlanDemic you have to pay for expedited shipping which is unreasonably high so it’s better to buy as many items at once.
Cheers. 🇨🇦
please black crx rims cod give me
In this Last time maxspeed sponsored a lot of crx RUclipsr why??? Also in Italy they arrived with this low cost product....
They are really pushing their products via RUclips.
@@crxseth but what do u think about It? Reply with true or not reply ;)
Pays retail for coilovers then shouts out the company. Is this the new trend??
I doubt he paid for these this company has been sponsoring every small honda based utuber
MrPlasto1211 is correct.
By far the 1998 Silver Civic is the best looking car you have not so much the other 2 plus hatch is not that popular
Wouldn't that be an EJ?
Technically, yes. Most people generically call them EK most of the time.
Mod yo shit
People hate on these coils but wtf do I look like putting $2500 coils on a $3000 civic this is budget builds
My sleave will not go into the fork!! Highly irritated waste of money
Dump it some more.
We debated that, but decided to keep it as drivable as possible, as he will be adding a front lip to it as well.
should of just went with the expensive coilovers. these cheap chinese ones barely meet oem, lucky us consumers/drivers of econoshitboxes dont care! ha
Such an ugly car. Glad this wasn’t my era. Clean example though. Good for him.
