If that's true, I'm happy for them. However, if those are numbers simply provided by them I don't know how accurate they are. Everything finance related made no sense in their pitch. She had a viral instagram post and projected a 2 year forecast based on that single day of viral sales. Assuming your long-term sales will match your single highest day of sales is very strange, especially since it was clearly from a viral situation. Obviously they have a good product which is the most important thing, but you can't run a successful company when you are that out of touch with the numbers. They probably asked for 90% of the company because they had no faith they knew how to scale a growing business based on their statements.

Mark Cuban is still heavily involved, pumping another $500 thousand into the business (presumably taking more of a percentage). vegan food isnt for everyone and im certainly a meat eater myself, but credit where its due, she (with Cubans help) has made a real go of this business and i have to say a massive well done to her!

But please, explain away how great of a decision that was.
They could had easily taken that million and put it in Bitcoin then and had 4.3 million at the end of last year. That doesn’t include the royalties they could had gotten from two sharks for the business which most likely would be worth a lot more today at the hands of two sharks than just two people who couldn’t get organize. The profits of the company with two sharks would have the company at a higher value today and their royalties would had been a lot more.
That’s just being a safe investor, anyone who actually would know what to do with that million and royalties could had flipped it in real estate for a lot more in 4 years span. They could had easily use the million and 10% royalties to get rental properties that is worth more than 7 million, which is the value of the company.
They could easily had negotiated and asked for an equity deal if the shark sold the company for a certain years just to safe guard the investment….

Business Perspective for Mark and Rohan's Offer: It actually was a pretty decent offer. Offering a 10% royalty means that they get 10% of sales which is truly incredible. For example 10% on 100M of sales (which is a very realistic point to reach) would be 10M cash for them with no work. They could then put that money to work on another business venture supported by the guaranteed profits from the deal. What I find stupid with these vegan alternatives is that they are WAY more expensive then non-vegan / non-vegetarian alternatives.. You can get 1 kg of meat for under 10 usd but to get 1 kg of this vegan stuff you will need to pay 45 usd at their homepage + shipping... It costs way more to raise animals than to make these vegan products but these products are somehow way more expensive than buying meat. I bought some expensive vegan hotdogs some months ago and it tasted like if I was eating grass from a lawn, and they were EXPENSIVE...

@@poonamupadhyay692 Sorry but you can't pay bills with feelings. They feel pain and I have bills to worry about. You can't expect the majority of people to go vegan until it makes sense economically. It's the same issue with electric cars. I actually love the idea of going vegan for the reported health benefits, but I will not be buying vegan gimmicks that currently flood the market. I do think the food market will eventually stabilize, but it won't be in the next 5 years.

    • @heyryanisonx3141

It seems like the price is only high if you buy little amounts at a time via the online store, so it's probably shipping issues that you don't encounter when buying real meat in-person at a deli. I saw some people comment that the price is closer to the normal when shopping in person
