      He always does that. Kevin rarely actually closes on deals but he, more than any of the others, initiates the bidding when no one else will; like a life preserver being thrown out to the drowning entrepreneur.

    This entrepreneur had one of the best put together total presentations I've seen on the show. He stayed in control, he presented clearly, he negotiated like a champ, and he made a great deal. Other entrepreneurs should take notes.

      He would have been a better investor partner, he's just not as skilled at making deals. He might be the worst of all the sharks at performing the actual deal-making on camera, and it makes me wonder how much of it is show-biz reality show silliness or whether he he really is slow on the uptake on stage.
      He's the oldest, so perhaps he gets tired shooting this all day!

      Everyone wants Laurie cause she has a pretty face and is the queen of selling on QVC. That said, Kevin has quite the portfolio of success and is a beast on social media. I’d take Kevin over Laurie because of his passion for business.

    I feel terrible for this guy. Imagine waking up to find your entire life's work has been ruined and it's not even the end of it. I can only imagine the horror he's been through when all his venues closed with his fridges full of rotting produce sitting there. Yet he is still here carrying on forward as if nothing happened. What an inspiration.

    Mark was fine with 500k for 7% for him and Lori. But as soon as the guy said 8%, Mark caught on and immediately countered to 10%. If the guy would've stayed quiet a bit longer, he could've got them both at 7% !! Lesson: if you show signs of weakness, smart people like Mark will pounce all over you !

      ya its a mistake but i wouldnt be too upset with myself with 2 sharks and the future of company bright.. 3% isnt a big deal, granted its a bigger deal when you have 51% to start.. he still has 41% tho and between him lori and mark they have 51%

      @@DreamsDFSPicks I agree with you, but I believe he is selling (or whatever you call it) 10% of the whole not just from his share. So that means he is only letting go of 5% of what is his. Obviously he would have a clearance from other investors for him to be able to do that. If not he will hold 0% after a few rounds of bringing in capital.(I think)

      He's been my fav for a long time. I'd say in the earlier ST seasons he was a bit more of a dick (lol) but he has aspects to him that are very cool, funny and interesting. He's still my fav shark for sure.

    Really liked this entrepreneur. Multiple sharks telling him he’s in trouble and had no fear and total confidence in his product. Brilliant idea that can probably be applied to multiple other food products as well.

    Kevin and Lori were the perfect pair for this guy. Kevin worked with Plated through their tough times and got an acquisition deal. Walking in starry eyed about Cuban b/c he's a billionaire was short-sighted, considering he doesn't know this space at all. Kevin gets all the flack for being 'greedy' but in actuality, Lori is the sharkiest... she'll ditch anyone on a dime to get a deal and she still comes out smelling like roses. Haha! She's fun to watch.

Not only that but he's the least physically attractive which combined with his bad reputation is a big turn off for people unfortunately.

      why? Mark would give you very little time most likely. He has a whole portfolio of businesses. You'd likely be dealing with his lackeys.
      The only useful thing from these sharks is the networking and future funding, but this guy already had all the relationships.

    During Covid, I saw a salad in a Jar at my local hospital, alongside a variety of different blends. I personally and honestly can say, the salads taste unbelievable for a Jar product.

    Poor Kevin.... he was the more obvious choice as he had experience with Plated and helped get it sold for 300 million dollars.... but as a side note, 10$ for a salad is too expensive. I can get a bag of salad for 4.50 and make my own dressing

      There is no way I'd pay $9 to $11 for a mason jar salad. As its loosely packaged enough to literally shake in the jar, you are not getting the full volume of the container. I'll make my own for less than $3 each.

      The product isn’t really meant for buying it at grocery store then taking it home and eating it. Primarily for on the go people. Or people in a bind and just need something that isn’t unhealthy yet still filling.

      @@bilal-ii3et obviously ive only seen this video, so I might have missed some stuff. However those fridges concern me, if he is buying those, that is a large upfront expense. Meanwhile whilst 9 days sounds good, the problem is when he talks about going directly to offices, that means he has a distribution problem. Add on to that, covid, means that alot of that money is now wasted, and he has to figure out a whole new route to market. There is ALOT for the Sharks to do here.

    Oh I love Mark's style in how he does business. He sits back and listens to everybody else and then he comes in and strikes to do. He is smart, he is compassionate and very wise in what's going to work and he knows how to make a deal with entrepreneurs and I just think highly of him as a businessman as well as an entrepreneur!!!!❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️ if I could only pick one shark to go into business with it would definitely be Mark Cuban, EVERYTIME♥️♥️

      It’s not about loving someone’s style. It’s you matching your product with the right shark. What that means is, a particular shark may be well versed with a certain niche as compared to another shark. If you actually look at the stats, Lori’s picks have been more profitable than most picks because she usually picks niches that are well aligned with her expertise. Being a billionaire doesn’t necessarily mean you are going to succeed at every business you invest in. You should see the losses that billionaires have incurred over the years in various businesses simply because of the knowledge gap. Nonetheless they deserve their respect.

      I want to see whether they were more profitable in *TOTAL* , like out of 10 businesses Lori had more profit or whether as "percentages" more profitable, like 5 out of 10 businesses are up in revenue.
