It’s weird to see the two biggest blunders first and then a pretty good pitch. Pluto came in with a valuation they could barely justify, and then Lola came in with no sales. Those things will make sharks run faster than anything. The last company came in with good sales and a reasonable valuation so of course they got the deal they wanted with a good shark.

That's how businesses work. If they sell at cost they wouldn't make any money and would go out of business, leaving us with no product to buy.
Although ideally they would get that $30 cost down to increase their margins, it shouldn't cost that much to make a pillow once they scale their business.

I don't remember what he said it cost to make the pies back then, but he is doing very well now and a whole pie costs $70 online. I considered maybe buying one for Thanksgiving but when I saw it was $70 I was like umm I don't think so.
I've seen fancy, gourmet Cheesecake companiea that ship cheesecakes around the country for $40. I *might* consider $40 if it was a special occasion for someone who really enjoyed it, but $70 for a dessert is too much.
