I bought the black one yesterday. My old one was Olympus e410 which was bought in 2007 and I loved it. However, it was the time for an upgrade. I should mention that I am still surprised how much the camera technology changed. I’m in love with this camera even more. I hope I can use it for years as well🫶🏻
Hi, thank you for reaching out! Kindly check with local Canon office or authorised distributor in your country for local stock and prices: asia.canon/en/consumer/buy. Thank you!
Hi Binod Gharti Magar official, any filters (ND, CPL, etc) can be used on the EOS R50, as long as the size of the filter matches the lens filter size. Be sure to check the filter size of the lens before you purchase your filters. Thank you!
I just got the R50 and the Nisi 9mm f/2.8 RF lens. Absolutely amazing combo for shooting real estate! A huge upgrade from the Canon M50 and Laowa 9mm f/2.8 ef-m lens. I like the full auto mode on the R50 as it looks amazing on the viewfinder and from photos I've seen. But I have the Nisi 9mm f/2.8 manual focus lens. I can't take a picture in full auto mode for some reason. Are there settings to allow this? Also wondering if you can do a comparison between 3 hdr bracketed vs full auto mode assist photos? I'm imagining closer results than expected. Blended hdr photos are tough to beat but this will make for an interesting test.
This looks like a wonderful camera. One time consuming aspect of my photography is cumbersome graduated filters, getting properly highlights and caring a lot about levels. He he now time to do some savings 😏 as good as smartphones are they get outdated too fast x_x
can you also help me to choose which lens I should buy? I want to buy the Canon R50, but I don't know which lens I should buy. I need to do manly photos to my family.. so for example to a person (bokeh effect) or to group of persons. Which one of these lens you recommend to me? 1) CANON RF-S 55-210MM F5-7.1 IS STM 2) Canon RF 50mm F1.8 STM 3) CANON RF 24MM F1.8 MACRO IS STM 4) Canon RF-S 18-45mm F4.5-6.3 IS STM
Hi Domenico, for family portraits, these are the lenses we'd recommend for the EOS R50. 1) For single portrait with bokeh, you can consider either the RF35mm f1.8 MACRO IS STM or the RF50mm f1.8 STM, which will give you an effective focal length of 56mm and 80mm respectively. For e.g., if it is an indoor setting with limited space, the RF35mm is better, while RF50mm is more suitable if you are shooting outdoor with more space to move around. 2) For group portrait, the RF-S18-45mm f4.5-6.3 IS STM should be sufficient in general. However, if you are talking about a large group and you require a wider lens, then the RF15-30mm f4.5-6.3 IS STM will provide you as wide as 24mm. Thank you!
Hi Hoong Wei Tan! EF lens can be used for R cameras with a mount adapter! Hi Satyam, thanks for your interest! We would recommend you check with the local office or official retailer for more details on availability and price. May we know where you are located so we can help?

Unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be an EF-M to RF lens adapter available. There are some major technical difficulties that makes an EF-M to RF lens adapter very unlikely. (Technical details: the flange distance for the EF-M mount is shorter than the RF mount, which means it's impossible to get close-focusing working correctly with an EF-M lens on an RF mount) I'm sorry to say EF-M is not long for this world - considering the very small number of lenses released for that system, I would encourage you to keep the EF-M camera you have right now for as long as possible, and then sadly you're going to have to abandon your old lenses in favour of the RF mount system sometime in the future. The good news is, since you'll have to migrate completely to a new system regardless, you're not limited to RF-only, you can also consider competing mounts from Sony, Nikon, Fujifilm etc. as well.

Good product. I'm an enthusiast. Want to purchase. But only one thing stopping me - lenses. Only one budget prime that is 50mm f1.8. but that's too tight for me. Want Good budget primes f1.8 or f2.8 with focal lengths 24mm or 28mm. Waiting for them ASAP. KIT LENSE is almost useless for me. Smartphone lense better than this kit lense 😅😅 I wish Canon listens us - beginners and enthusiasts - who wish to enter Mirrorless World from Smartphone photography world. 👍 🙏
My opinion is Sony & Nikon is best because Of Wide range of lens compitiblity & available of low cost thirth party lens. Samyang Sicma Tamron Viltrox Rokinon Etc.
4km with no crop..amazing

The new Vlogging king from Canon. Hopefully they make a 15-35 2.8 for rfs like the efs had or allow Sigma to make the 1.4 trio again
when will it be on the market? I live in the United Arab Emirates, is this available at canon shops?

so... basically rest in peace M50 and with it all the M series
😂😂😂😂
This is really good. If Canon makes the next iteration less ugly I might just switch.
Is advanced auto only applicable to JPEGS?

Hi JeepTJ Wheelin', thanks for reaching out!
As there's 3rd party lens involved, we would not be able to advise accordingly.
Thank you!
Advance plus feature incredible
Any affordable good lens ??? Only high quality but really heavy pricey RF full frame lens ? Whoops 😅
They didn't allow 3rd party lenses which is sucks, got pretty decent lenses from sigma for apsc
Sigma 16mm it’s a good lens..but Only for EOS M series on canon😂
Same reasons. I gave up and will switch to Sony
get ef lenses with ef to rf adapter
Just switch to fuji.

When is this launching in India?
Hi, thank you for reaching out! Kindly check with local Canon office or authorised distributor in your country for local stock and prices: asia.canon/en/consumer/buy. Thank you!
Canon please continue thirth party lens.
Camera is good no doubt but we can't effort to buy your high cost of rf lens.
just get an ef adpater and get A full frame look
hope the RP with be update the software with animal af or much better AF etc..
Current AF depends on Digic X processor, so I wouldn't hold my breath. The closest you can get now is upgrade to R8.
R50 किस मूल्य में प्राप्त होगा?? Amazon Flipkart oct offer पर ❤
Please tell me launching date in india??

My opinion is Sony & Nikon is best because
Of Wide range of lens compitiblity & available of low cost thirth party lens.
Samyang
Sicma
Tamron
Viltrox
Rokinon
Etc.
canon cameras have also wide range of lens compatibility, maybe just a bit tighter the sony and nikon
Get ef lenses and stop complaining
