Hi friends, there are a few comments now saying the bottles of Aventus are fake. I specifically bought them from Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges to avoid fake bottles.
TY for video Aaron!
people cannot deal with aventus getting anything but compliments i have a 20 batch and i reach for my green irish tweed much much more often aventus is good but i dont get the level of aggression when its not give 10 out of 10. keep doing reviews the way you do i come back because you give real detail and i purchase your products because they are what you say they are !!
Bro the bottle is an obvious fake, I’m not sure what to tell you
If you pause the video at 0:28 you can obviously see that 2 out of the 3 boxes you have are fake just by looking at the edges towards the top.
@@cesarrobledo2583 My mans is still going. I know you have better things to do than continuously commenting this. Simmer down😂🤡
Creed be like "hey, let´s safe on the ingredients, make the bottle smaller down from 120ml to 100ml and double the price". Should change the C with a G in its name.
It's called, defrauding the consumer!
Crazy hearing stories from people saying how in 2010/11 this was a completely different beast, what a shame that they ruined such a great fragrance, really wanted to buy a 100ml bottle of Aventus but now dont know if i should do it
@@SPACEDOUT19 My friend go and buy Hacivat. Its ten times better anyway.
@@SPACEDOUT19 Don't do it. It's been terrible for years now
Lots of perfumers when to 100ml bottles due to FAA regulations. You can bring a 100ml bottle on a plane but not a 120ml
Aaron, you've rapidly become one of my favorite perfume reviewers on RUclips. Love this series! Also, if you want to send any of the Aventus batches you don't like to a good home, I'll happily adopt them 😉.
I love your honest brutality when you review. You’re the best, Aaron! 🥂
Nishane is one of rare fragrance houses today, that creates strong fragrances, with gorgeous silage and projection. Some of their gems are Sultan Vetiver, Patchouli Kozha, Monegu, Africa Olifant, Musiqa Oud, Vjola, Sued et safran, Spice Bazar..... a signature fragrances.
Purchasing Creed today is a robbery, fragrances that are gone in 1-3 hours are not worth a purchase at that price point, altho they where and felt luxurious few decades ago.
I don't think one can even say Creed is a niche fragrance any longer.
I love that you reviewed Hacivat! Very misunderstood frag! Also my jaw dropped when I saw you’re going into batch variation with Aventus! Somebody’s been spending his nights in the fragcom!
Hacivat smells as if it was created purely out of essential oils. I love it.
I pick Hacivat over Aventus all day
Hacivat > Aventus. ...Aventus is shit in a can that's overrated and overhyped by a herd of dorks on YT.
@@kevinschwart1028 a year later, I finally got my hands on hacivat, and I can confirm. It's definitely a step up. How it can be had for less than HALF of aventus is insanity
hacivat is an absolute monster of a freshie, love the pineapple and oakmoss combination 👍🏻
Freshy? Its dry down will choke up.
it's way too dirty and cloying to ever call a fresh frag
this is thing is the opposite of fresh
Absolute monster??? Your mom maybe but not the Hacivat...
Muhd I couldn't get your responce ending;" damn, you must have...???
Thanks a lot for this review. This is sooo much better than the traditional "10 unique frag" or " 10 sexy frag" and so on. There is real content in you reviews and every time I can learn something (i.e. what a product is used for in a formula) which is top! At the end, I have the feeling I did not waste my time. Quality of content that s what you have on this channel. The comparison of Aventus batches was interesting to watch. Thanks a lot Aaron. Keep going!
The way your shirt logo fits perfectly inside your necklace is genius.
Maaaaaannnn YOU'RE LOOKING GREAT!!!! Beard, hair, clothing, and jewelry are coordinated, identify perfectly with your style, and you are KILLING IT. Looking fantastic Aaron and thank you for the review!
hands down the most genuine personality on RUclips.. keep it up brother
Very explanatory and detailed review Aaron, very well done! I seriously think Aventus is way too overpriced for what it is and the huge inconsistency is unacceptable from batch to batch. On the opponent side, Nishane has done an exquisite job with Hacivat. Extremely good quality and high consistency.
I agree. It doesn’t make logical sense for such Inconsistencies
I really love this new style of video. It seems the more you discuss the chemistry of fragrance, the more engaged I am with the content👌
I have a 2019 batch and its a perfect balance of all the notes i love it but I completely agree with you, creed needs to put out a new refined monstrous banger.
Yes, and Viking wasn't the one.
Yoo this is going to get viral in the fragrance community. You know what you're doing
I've never tried Knee-shah-nay Ha-chi-vaht (^_^), but I hear great things about it.
I'm actually quite glad you say it's very different from Aventus. What I dislike most about Aventus is the Birch note which I believe gives it the 'smokiness'. I'll get a sample of Hacivat. Thanks.
Dear ATH, this review format and the review itself is the best you have made so far, for me at least. Thanks for the good work !
Aaron thank you SO much for taking the time to do this! I have been waiting for something detailed and in-depth like this for years. This was exemplary; thank you.
From what I get, Hacivat is the better fragrance. The King has officially been dethroned!
I have both and absolutely love both. My Aventus is a 2019 batch and is very smoky and dark in the dry down. The Nishane edges it for me though; it’s joyful to wear and smell all day.
I adore Hacivat, as I’ve told you before. Glad to see this video Aaron!
My pleasure
Wow this was so different and so interesting, Creed perfumes are getting more light to my liking and last less than a few years ago unfortunately
thanks dear professor, A.T.H. you're the best
Yet another outstanding review and great comparison! Great job, Aaron!
Excellent review Aaron!... Love the scientific breakdown of the chemicals involved and your knowledge of the perfumes. You are right, they are similar but different. If I had to choose it will be Hacivat, as I wear this already. The price, performance, projection, packaging is all worth the price in comparison to Aventus!.... at one stage I really wanted to buy this, but is over priced and performance is poor. However, the smell is refined, smooth and favorable. It is a great shame, so many colleagues and friends have bought this and regret it once they smelt Hacivat on me!.... All have been motivated to go and buy Hacivat as you smell awesome, heavy and powerful. You are correct all the Creed Aventus batches smell different and performance level has become poor by the batch. What is going on? They really need to have a look at this. I would like to have a bottle but it currently is getting negative reviews from colleagues, friends and others which has put me off this perfume plus its price and performance is ridiculous. One can get other alternatives and clones for cheaper and still smell great!... such a shame from a much hyped perfume when it came out first, but I found Hacivat to be better and stronger!
Hey, as far as I know in 2014 Aventus was priced at about 120-150 pounds. The price of Aventus skyrocketed in the last few years, as it was the case with other Creeds. I think George the Fragrance Apprentice also have said that in his Creed related videos.
Even worse is that Creed made the bottles smaller but kept the prices the same
One of your finest reviews Aaron!
Thank you! 🙏
I could never understand how people compare the two. But I never say anything to avoid unnecessary conflict lol.
Hacivat is a very dry, dense, patchouli bomb on me with some oak moss adding to the earthy ness, and I definitely smell the lemon and orange, in fact that’s the color that comes to mind. Smells very Middle Eastern, and like a head shop. Yes, very base heavy, like straight oil lol
Aventus is very light and airy, ozonic, woodsy, salty with nuances of leather and a very strong musk with pepper and juniper berry adding to the dryness. Slight smokiness and a tart sweetness. Very westernized. The two are completely different imo as well.
I'm so happy you reviewed Hacivat and the Aventus comparison was very good. I never found them even remotely similar and I'm glad you confirm this. Something I was wondering, does Hacivat contain a lot of naturals?
Your smile at the start of the video made me smile :P
🦄
I wish Creed would step out of their comfort zone of releasing classic gentleman style fragrances and do something really dark, sweet, resinous. Unfortunately their newest release is just a “cologne” flanker of Viking so they’re clearly content to rest on their laurels.
FYI Creed has been bought by BlackRock, and are now more interested in being a commercial brand.
I blind bought Hacivat based on the RUclips hype and the lack of testers nearby to try. Although I appreciate it for what it is, it just isn’t a scent I can see myself reaching for that often.
Never blind buy niche fragrance to expensive to just try your luck. I niche are usually weird smelling so always test them first
@@mixedpleasure4324 Niche are usually weird smelling? What sort of nonsense is that? I would agree with getting a sample first though.
Good evening Aaron, enjoyed your thoughts on these two, be safe and BLESSED
Thanks for another amazing video. Your fragrance breakdowns are incredibly informative and entertaining. Awesome video!
Great and on point comparison maestro unicorno 👌I was also wondering why people linking pineapple notes instantly with Aventus, or saffron with baccarat rouge :D It's like these notes are patented to those two fragrances 🤣
Awesome as always! It’d be rather nice if you review Jubilation XXV by Amouage!
Finally the creed review also Aaron there’s many more fragrances that smell like it it’s like they took aventus and made there own version , they have done the same with Paco Ranbane invictus
hacivat is one of the longest lasting I have ever owned. It stays and lets you know it is still there
I smelled pretty much the whole Creed line at Saks two days ago. I was surprised at the fact that I didn't love any of them. Actually, Royal Oud was pretty decent.
The only 2 I like are Royal Oud and Silver Mountain Water
And I would Looove to see you review “A City on fire” by imaginary authors. That would make my day. It’s absolutely divisive.
Very informative video, Aaron. I had a bottle of Aventus. It was nice, but not that fantastic. Sold it and recovered most of my money. Picked up a bottle of the Naraf Club de Nuit and while I know you don't care for it, it does smell exactly like Aventus and for a 1/10 of the price, I will keep it. Keep up the good work.
This is great review. I hope you will do more on Guerlain, Hermès and Amouage. Which are your favorite from Hermès and Amouage. Especially I would like to know which ones you like from house of Amouage.
Having 3 batches is abit overkill haha. But I'm glad to see you grow as a perfumer and boarden your horizon quite alot since you started :)
Aaron , I think you are the most sensitive and analytical fragrance reviewer on YT. Well spoken clear and on another level, without exaggeration and using the sexy word all the time.
These two are amazing for compliments. I just love watching you butcher the names of half the fragrances you review.
I had the same feeling with Hacivat. I can’t explain how it is compared with Aventus.
I mean i smelled some similar notes maybe but it’s a totally different fragrance. Almost thought i had a fake or something like that.
Thanks for your thoughts Aaron!
Have been waiting for this :) Good Video mate
So glad to hear your thoughts on comparsion of these two and explain why they are not the same.. Everyone else is just 😂 how this smell like aventus. I thought ppl actually had covid because they couldn't smell the difference
Hahhhah. Yes covid! Funny comment 🦄
@@AaronTerenceHughes it's so funny now everytime I have a talk about oud or if perfumes actually used agarwood and ppl get all offend I refer them to your channel to learn about agarwood 😂
Everybody compares Hacivat to Aventus. I swear to God I kept saying they don’t smell similar whatsoever.
Thank you Aaron. You are very detailed, and that's impressive!
Hacivat is great, i prefer it to Aventus, and Hacivat lasts longer than Aventus, its a beast!
Really?? I have to try. Thx
Wow!! 😮 what an incredible video that was, coffee and an ATH review video on a Sunday morning is just the best ☕️😆 so full of interesting comparisons and information. I own a bottle of the Creed Aventus Cologne, I find it a lot sharper and fresher than the original Aventus 😏 I’ll tell you there’s nobody on RUclips like you Aaron, you’re an incredible talent 🦄 take care, love from Scotland 🏴🏴
I just got a 100ml of Aventus Cologne. 20D01 batch. I agree, I prefer this over Aventus.
I believe it's pronounced like "Knee sha na(y) - ha gee what". The letter y in nay is silent. Thank you for reviewing Nishane. I'm planning to get one
Having 25 bottle of Aventus, batch variations are 100% real. I'm lucky enough to own an original formulation from 2012 and it's insanely good. I've also been lucky to try the very first batch 10E01 of Aventus, it is miles apart from the current juice. 2015-2016 are my favorites though. Hacivat also has batch variations, anyone who has tried 3 or more would know, I've owned 3 bottles and they have all been slightly different, with my current Hacivat being alot weaker than the previous 2.
I can name a number of fragrance which have batch variations also Eau Sauvage Parfum, GIT, Carlisle, Layton, Pardon, Black Afgano etc hacivat is definitely a beast but I do prefer my older Aventus. However new Aventus isn't very good at all in my opinion and its sad to see. Great video mate! Love your content! 🔥🔥🔥
just bought this the other day with nishane ani, im glad you think its nothing like aventus as i too think there completely different. i also agree its monsterous! one spray lasted over 12 hours on my skin. Be good if you reviewed ani, its fantastic and i like it way more than havicat. It has a green note though....
You nailed your overall assessment. I sampled both before I bought them thankfully. I personally thought Aventus smelled awful and I swear, I did not receive one compliment. Hacivat on the other hand is a monster. Smells amazing and will fill up a room. I absolutely smelled it the next morning and got compliments from men and women alike. Unfortunately I think the lazy comparison comes from both of them having pineapple. They really are nothing alike.
🥰 Video Aaron, Thankyou for sharing this 💜
Eh, the Creed aventus-batch saga is a dang shame. I fell in love with the aventus back in '14/15, when first getting a sample and then a full bottle.
Got a newer batch about a year ago, and frankly, it's so disappointing. It smells "kind of" the same, but the balance between notes is WAY off, the richness is gone, and the depth has suffered as well.
Incredible review. Love your videos and Love your fragrances even more! Florida USA
Thank you for supporting my channel. My work and my amazing staff
Amazing video yet again! Ive already recently purchased Nishane Hacviat, and I’ve noticed it’s not as crazy strong as Hyped, maybe I turn nose blind to it very quickly, or there is a chance it a bad batch either way I do enjoy it. Keep up the great work, loving the videos! 👍🏽
Take those Creed 100ml boxes and bottles to a creed boutique and get them authenticated. I would not spray that stuff on my skin unless i know it is 100% legit.
Hello my frag brother, I got to say out of all of the videos I have seen out of these 2 fragrances on RUclips this is the best today. In fact,we don't need anymore previews on these 2 frags lol. I would have said myself that hacivat is alot different than aventus, but I am a small channel right now and nobody in frag com would have heard me,but I digress bro you killed it thanks for saying something I have been thinking for a long time much love King and much success peace Russell R Mack of Solomon's Vineyard
Aventus` boxes should be very black everywhere . Even the edges.
I got Hacivat before I smelled Aventus as it was so overhyped. After a while, I put my nose on a sample and clowns I could never understand the Aventus comparison. I like both for different reasons but Hacivat is so unique and I thought the same as your words, aggressive. It just sizzles and fizzles off an almost screechy fruit accord backed by that heaviness. I love it.
Hacivat is the best to me. It lasts all day, it won't let me go 😅😅😅
It's an absolute beast!
Hi Aron my friend.... I'm being pushed towards.... jeroboam... vespero... it is supposed to be the best likeness to Aventus and like the original not reformulated Aventus... its priced at £90... love to see a video review from you before I purchase.... thanks for the great video as always m8
What a great comparison video.
Me personally i love my Aventus and I always have someone asking what I'm wearing. I can understand your point of view as a perfumer the inconsistentcy of batches and every company making ambroxan variations and clones that diminish the Aventus phenomenon to make it a tiresome cliché.
Nice review! thanks. Will be so cool to see review of Nishane Colognise (so good) and Nishane Wulang Cha.
Hello, friend in my head. YESSSS!!... I thought the same about them Smelling nothing a like. I get the similarities, but totally different... love your reviews! 😁😁😉
Thank God for Aaron to tell us the truth about how this is NOT just an Aventus flanker.
Love this vid! I’m curious on how you feel about Mancera Cedrat Boise.
Id take Mancera Cedrat Boise over Creed
No Creed that I own or have tried last’s longer than a couple of hours. Nishane on the other hand, monsters, which is what I want to pay for. Hence I now am obsessed with with Aaron’s line
Great breakdown!
Great stuff Aaron really enjoyed that in depth review. Your dedication to detail is refreshing. If you ever want to donate that Hactivat il gladly take it 😂
I remember watching a video with you and Fragmental a while back. He gave you Aventus to review and you were "just done" and over it. You were like- next! I was thinking " ok, maybe Aventus isn't the shit! ".
Amazing Work Aaron 👍 No Other Reviewer Can Break Down A Fragrance Like You Do And It's So Refreshing To See Someone Like Yourself Doing Unique Reviews 💪🦄💯
That’s very kind of you to say. Thank you for watching
@@AaronTerenceHughes Your Very Welcome And Keep Up Your Amazing Work Aaron 💪🦄💯
Love Hacivat and agree that the Aventus comparison pretty much drops off at the pineapple top note. I ultimately discovered Hacivat as an Aventus challenger but realized I actually think of Hacivat as a member of the "cologney" cedar-forward fragrances of the world. And among those, Hacivat is my favorite. I also realized I don't need the Aventus drama in my life 😂
Haha a year later, I don't like Hacivat terribly much anymore! While occasionally it's nice to have a strong cedary frag with that early splash of citrus and pineapple, Hacivat today mostly hits me screechy and fatiguing. I've found that many Middle Eastern frags are overpowering, fatiguing, with excessively high projection and longevity. They also often trigger a bit of headache or nausea in me. (An extreme example of this was a free sample of Régalien Turkuaz that came with a different purchase, where even touching the box that the vial came in will make me queasy for half an hour, and which I've never dared spray.) Anyway, Hacivat nearly fits within this stereotype.
Hacivat being incredibly strong, a single ~70 uL spray is enough for a wear for me. I discovered Hacivat through a 2 mL decant, after which I bought a 100 mL bottle on sale last year. I think I've used about 2.5 mL total of this 102 mL so far, oops. A 10 mL or even 5 mL manufacturer's spray would be a more useful packaging than the 50-100 mL bottles it comes in.
And while I still don't need the Aventus batch drama in my life, I do find my little sample of Aventus to be a very nice, usable frag. And still very different than Hacivat, much more reserved.
Absolutely excellent review. You just cannot get such information anywhere on RUclips. Never. WTF people are talking about fake Aventus bottles?
Thaís Aaron for your honest review at Aventus that’s I don’t buy Aventus anymore
Very interesting video Aaron 👌💪☺️
If there is anyone new, just keep in mind any review before 2022 is reviewing a pre reformulated hacivat which used to perform very well
I have both aventus and Hacivat and enjoy both I think they only have a slight similarity. Everyone seems to get monstrous performance from Hacivat but on my skin I’m getting 5-6 hours longevity and an hour of projection, considering how much hype Hacivat gets I was very disappointed with performance the actual scent I really like. There is another niche fragrance that gets compared to both aventus and Hacivat, called Orion by Tiziana Terenzi, I find this to be my favourite and be the best performing of them all. If I had to rank them for me it would be:
1. Orion
2. Aventus
3. Hacivat
Nice review Aaron..............
I own both and hacivat is far better ! The only problem with hacivat is my wife keeps pinching it for herself ! Mad compliment getter as well !
Well wouldn't you know it video unicorn was right, I was looking forward to this video especially because last week I tried Hacivat for the first time and I did not like the opening it was too much of pineapple-like overripe pineapple but I like the dry down because it turned creamy and pineapple was toned down a lot
i have bought creed aventus (used ) and i checked out my batchcode and to my surprise there are over 300 batch variations over the 10 years its been made , its something called the master list
I'm no Aventus expert but I think the 2 bigger bottles may have been fake. I say that because when the 3 boxes were held up you can see white edges on 2 of them and Aventus boxes should be black inside and out. Also the front of one of the big bottles didn't have the mirrored finish like the smaller bottle. Finally I don't think the caps match the batch code mentioned. Aaron did prefer the smell of the legit Aventus which shows the quality of the original over the fakes (if they are indeed fake)
They came from selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols. I made sure they would be the real thing.
@@AaronTerenceHughes post the boxes on Instagram the Aventus experts will let you know. Louis speaks the truth Aventus boxes do not have white edges the box material is dyed black just like your 50mL box. You even commented on how crappy the presentation was. The concern maybe that those big stores are selling items that have been returned but with fakes.
Aaron, great as always, would you consider reviewing YSL lhomme ultime, and Mercedes Benz club black those are really good and i would love to know your wise opinion.
Thanks for all the amazing info and the passion you spread with your work.
$160 is exactly what I paid for my 3.3oz bottle of Aventus. I get about 8 to 9 hours out of it. At that price, I'd say it was worth it. Now, I want to try this Hacivat.
I sampled the havicat and I quite like it, I can get the 100ml for like $150 in my country. I'm not familiar with your term, I don't smell musk a lot in this but the moss is so heavy like I'm in a forest. It is bitter and herbally too.
I’ve been waiting for this video I saw A posting on Instagram
Aaron, the two 100ml Aventus look like counterfeits to me. The edges of their boxes should not be white. I suggest you check the mechanism under their atomizer caps, there should be a white outer ring. If they do not have the white washer/outer ring then it's most likely a fake bottle. I've had five different batches of Aventus(17V01, 19Y11N, 20A01N, 20B01N and 20C01N), they all had the white outer ring under their atomizer and black edges on their cardboard boxes.
Very good review and I really like brand Nishane they are doing really good job
Those are fake bottles of creed.. 😂 Im a creed collector anf those creeds are all fake. The box, bottle and caps is a dead giveaway
Tell me more please!
Your description of how you would change Hacivat more to your liking sounds very similar to what Nishane did with Hacivat X.
Would you please review Hacivat X and compare it to the original?
Thanks for the comparison. You're a PRO.

Great review Aaron, thank you….
Add 70% aventus 30% hacivate to an empty bottle, shake for 5 minutes every 2-3 days, let it rest for about 3 - 6 months, the resulting “haciventus” smell is excellent. Both the beauty of the smell and the permanence of the silage will be legendary.⚡️
I was just starting out with fragrances and of course I bought a sample of the legendary Creed Aventus. Words can't describe how blown away by it I was. Aventus single handedly started my fragrance obsession. So, I thought hell yeah I'll pay $400 for a bottle of this best smelling fragrance I ever smelled. Well, what I received was nothing like the sample I had. This propelled me into researching (where I found a whole fragrance community online) and found that in fact batch by batch you can get wildly different forms of Aventus. I was very let down. Needless to say I keep my 5ml sample for those special occasions and the other big bottle, well, it looks cool!
Exactly my experience! I was so heartbroken after I finally got a bottle.. I spent $550 on mine.
@@adeayo1994 I actually got around to returning my bottle. I told them it was a gift for my father and it made him sick. No questions asked, sent the bottle back and got all of my money. If the timeframe isn't too long from when you purchased your bottle, you may be able to send it back if you like. Also, keep in mind now that I've bought many, many fragrance bottles I've come to find that a brand new bottle needs a bit of time to mature after opening it for the first time. Spray the new bottle about 10 times then let it set for 1-2 months, it should open up very nicely and become a much fuller scent. Good luck :)
