My bottle changed a lot throughout the years. Now it's less sweet and smells very Ambroxan-y, like a tame Sauvage EDT, but without the pepperiness and chemical harshness.
I had a decant of one of the first Aventus batches and it was known for MAXIMUM projection, MAXIMUM longevity, MAXIMUM compliments, and MAXIMUM confidence. All with only 2-4 sprays. Modern formulations are a shadow of its former self but the scent profile is still great!

Great review! Zara Vibrant Leather missing from the list though, but in any case, there are so many clones of Aventus, close to impossible to include all in any video. I would strongly second Montblanc Explorer. If I have to recommend just one and only one good, yet affordable fragrance for someone to wear year round in all ocassions, Montblanc Explorer is one that comes to mind.
I always value your reviews over the others, due to the fact that who has more insight than someone who puts the notes inside the bottle! ... Great Content Aaron!!!😁
Really agree with you on Al Haramain L'aventure. So many RUclipsrs were praising it, but to me it smelled just cheap, synthetic and too simple. It's almost free,(25£/100ml) but still not worth it's price.
I don't know what the original smells like, but I quite like al haramain. My bottle lasts and projects all day on me. I'm now curious about the "refinement" that Aaron speaks about. I thought about buying Explorer but most people say it doesn't last very long. Interestingly, Aaron said it lasted quite well. Who knows.
the "Emperor" line from parfums vintage, particularly the edp or extrait, is the cloesst clone. The Pineapple vintage line is a bit of a twist for pineapple lovers, but in the same ballpark. That company really went down the rabbit hole of trying to clone the various nuances of the fragrance, and they have some pretty good attempts. My favorite is Galerius, which captures some of the licorice nuances of the 2016 batches. For what it's worth, their clone of Aventus Cologne, "Emperor cologne" is even closer to the source material than the original emperor was. For a clone house, they do some really solid work and it's apparent they use the highest quality ingredients, particularly relative to the middle eastern brands.
I thought I was crazy for smelling the licorice in Galerius, ha-ha. Really put me off. Wasn't expecting it. My favorite is Emperor Extrait. It's like a more natural and smoother CDNIM. Had to get me a big bottle after my sample ran out. Vintage Intense IV is too pineappley and unbalanced. I'm trying to fall in love with it. Blindly got a big bottle after sampling the regulat Intense and finding it too synthetic.
I just got done with my 3.3 oz explorer, I loved how smokey it was, and women of all ages compliment a lot here in Florida. I plan on getting the club de nuit, pure parfum version, not edt or edp or limited. Wish you got that one, but I will be testing it to see how it compares to Explorer 👍
How long did it take to empty the Explorer? With so many fragrance DNA’s available why pursue a full sized “remake” of a dna as opposed to a decant of the real deal. You already know what an “interpretation” is like. And I’m just curious since I really like Explorer
the one thing i like about parfums vintage is the wide range of aventus styles. i highly recommend their sauavage elixer clone , it is a beast mode scent.
Pinapple Vintage Platinum is fantastic if you guys are curious. Really different. Got it for "free" with my Emperor Extrait and Pineapple Vintage Intense VI order.
Thanks for sharing your gifts with the world 🙏 I believe many people will understand more of both the psychology behind fragrances in general and understand more of the chemistry because of you. And happy that you value Montblanc Explorer. It is very underrated by many because it is affordable, but it is clearly a good fragrance.
I got my bottle of K**t today too! Very nice indeed, seemed to last on me for hours, a gorgeous, curious and unique fragrance that I kept going back to, definitely more suited to Autumn/Winter I think. I tried to pick up on the sex and drugs vibe that Aaron says are in the notes but I guess that can be a bit subjective so not quite sure what I was picking up on, my nose was kinda expecting something like shaving gel with a bit of Femfresh whipping through the base, lol, but there's definitely some smokiness in there. Hopefully Arron will bring out an elixir version, then he can call it Elixir K**t🤣As we can already buy Slut and Boss Bitch from ATH I'm wondering what the three new floral based/feminine fragrances out next year will be called? Maybe they'll be 'Slapper', 'Slag' and 'Pig'🤔 Also received a bottle of Guapo, that's definitely going to be a repeat purchase, it's simply stunning.
try Loewe Esencia EDP. Another clone close to Montblanc Explorer. Overall I prefer Aventus anyways. On clothes Aventus is long lasting and smoky in a base. It lasts on me after 10 sprays on my t-shirt (chest area) around 6-7 hours easily.
You know how most of the time spaghetti sauce, chilli and soups seem to taste better after they’ve been cooled and then reheated the next day? The ingredients seem to “marry” or mesh ( that’s the term I’ve always used with food). Every description of maceration I’ve heard seems to boil down to this, and it starts once some oxygen gets into the bottle because you’ve used it a few times. *I am not a perfumer
Great review.. I'm glad Explorer did well. It's been my every day for nearly 6 months now. Nice, inoffensive, spray this on after a shower, lasts until I come back from work. I got a smaller bottle for christmas, and was nursing it for months and months. And didn't get a larger size, because for some reason I thought it would be super expensive.. It isn't. I got 100mls for £45 on Amazon, on a sale. It'll last me all year.
Would have been interested to hear your thoughts on Emperor from Parfums Vintage, which is the same house as the Pinapple Vintage Instense you smelled. Emperor is far less sweet, and is supposed to be around their "neutral" point for their Aventus inspired lines, and represents the 2016 batch. Great content as always, ATH
I remember when I decided to dive back into perfumery, and was at a few shops looking for a scent that captured me. I tried many, including the Creed's Aventus, which I liked. But I wasn't drawn to it. But, when I smelt Mont Blanc Explorer, I knew, instantly! It was perfect for me. Everything about it was captivating! Such an alluring smell. Still my favourite perfume, to this day.
I prefer Montblanc Explorer over Aventus as well. Scent is a personal thing. Most people like the smoky pineapple scent, in fact it is generally what gets Aventus it's praise... I don't like the smoky pineapple note. Montblanc is more woody and has more of a bergamot note instead of the sweet pineapple that Aventus has. Just personally, I prefer the profile of Explorer to Aventus. It isn't even a budget thing, or anything else it's actual preference.
I would really like Aaron to review one of the new F batches. I’ve recently tested 2 of them and they actually seem to perform very well on my skin, whereas the few batches that I tested around 2 years ago were really weak in longevity and projection.
@@CRsiuuuu to be fair, Aventus itself is a joke compared to older batches. It was an almost daily wear for me for 7y or so. I've gone through hundreds of MLs. I've tested a 2020 batch and was unimpressed. Tested F000463 and was shocked. To me, this batch feels like you fill a glass with ice and pour Coca Cola, but let the ice melt and you end up with a 20% Coca Cola, 80% plain water drink. That's how it smells to me compared to 14C01 I still have a sample of. I've tested a bunch of clones and none do it for me. I've settled for CDMIN PP, as the drydown is great, IMO, but the opening is still the typical CDMIN trash. I wish Creed released a good batch as I almost pulled the trigger on a 500ml on their site. Thank God I got my hands on a the sample first. Now that they got acquired by Kering (mid 2023) there's a chance they turn around, but I won't hold my breath. By mid 2024 or 2025 we should have batches from under Kering on the market. Time will tell...
Rumz Al Rasasi 9325. Try this closest or second closest aventus clone. much better than explorer both notes wise and better than cdnim quality wise specially in the opening as it has the same opening as aventus. no harshness.
Thanks for the review! May you please make a video regarding health regulations for perfumery companies and if these clones are following any health regulations or at least are they controlled while importing to EU or Uk?!
I tried a ton of Aventus clones. The ones I found best were the Parfums Vintage pineapple range. I have 6 different bottles, from smokier to sweeter, that are worn based on mood and weather. The longevity is okay, but where they really shine is on clothing. They will last for ages, and even through washes.
Huge new fan here. I love your honest fragrance reviews and have watched several other YT influencers review your line. I'm looking forward to experiencing several of your fragrances in the near future. ❤
Something on you changed! Not sure if it’s just the surrounding & setup. You seem to be very happy. It shows! Glad for you 😊 Oh and great Video as always!
I layer l’Aventure intense over CDNIM edp and it works well. The lament about the synthetic smell is exaggerated imho. The drydown of the first is fruity, while club de nuit has that smoky quality. And both perform MUCH better than Explorer, which is really really weak.
Perfume Parlours interpretations have always been bang on for me. Their 'Avalanche Woody' version of Aventus is just about the closest to the 2010 release you'll find from a clone company.
@@foyzulalam6417 they're okay but the OG has never been a beast mode fragrance. They're subtly there, working away in the background. Enough to get complimented 🙌
One of my favorite clones to Aventus is Michael Mulal's Ice Black Intense. Very affordable and have gotten many compliments on it. A friend who wears Aventus says it's about as close as you can get to it. Check it out.
Club De Nuit Intense Man EDP is the best one to use. Try to get ya hands on the edp.. the birch, rose, lemon in the edp batch is much smoother n is a lil harsh at the beginning but after 5 mins you smell like 2010-2015 Creed Aventus… love it!!!
Emperor Extrait from Partums Vintage is very similar to CDNIM EDP in scent profile, but is smoother and smells natural. It has that strong smokey scent that resembles the one used by Armaf but not as synthetic. But for the price, the Armaf fragrance can't be beaten.
A current sample of Aventus is the only fragrance I’ve ever gotten a compliment from. I don’t have any ATH yet but that’s gonna change real soon. You’re my new favorite RUclipsr.
Dunhill Desire Gold seems to get the opening right, closer than the vast majority of the contending clones, but it doesn't last to really even reach the dry down stage (it becomes a very faint sin scent). I'm still searching for the perfect 1:1 clone...
most fragrances including aventus have been reformulated due to IFRA rules. Oakmoss: While not outright banned, Oakmoss extracts are restricted by IFRA due to the presence of Atranol and Chloroatranol, which can cause sensitization. The restrictions are in place to ensure these allergens remain below trace levels in the finished products. Oakmoss extracts are allowed in various product categories but with specific maximum acceptable concentrations. Lilial (Butylphenyl Methylpropional): Lilial has been banned for use in cosmetic products in the EU since March 2022 and in the UK since the beginning of 2022. The ban stems from concerns over its potential as a reprotoxin, causing skin sensitization and allergic reactions. However, it is still permitted in other regions like the US, where the FDA is monitoring the situation. Bergamot: Bergamot essential oil is not banned under IFRA standards but has restrictions due to its content of furocoumarins, which can cause photosensitivity. The oil can be used in cosmetic products if it is bergapten-free or if the furocoumarin content is significantly reduced3.
I can understand your reaction from L’Aventure, Aaron. I wore it to work, and at least two people kept sneezing repeatedly. I had to scrub it off, and never wore it to work again.
@@paulb2995Explorer is next-level smooth and transparent. I just wish it was stronger and more defined. I find it too ethereal and non-descript, but at the same time that's what sets it apart from every other clone/inspiration, and the ingredients are high-quality.
obviously the mont blanc explorer is your most fav because its not from a western or european country...says a lot! If we blindly give you the EDP version of Club de Nuit intense man after 20 minutes after it has dried down, it will be your fav. You simply pick the expensive one once you see the bottle. plus the perfume is not judged based on just after spraying. No one smell you just after you spray. you spray you go out, it takes atleast 5 to 10 minutes. So the judgement on top note start after 5 to 10 minutes. middle notes after 30 minutes and dry down after and 1 hour or two. its not about which is quality wise better, its about which is the closest notes related perfume. quality wise explorer is good, notes wise explorer is different from aventus. If a perfume is not notes wise same, it shouldnt be a part of a clone video, rather it should be in 'if you like aventus, you will like this very similar fragrance but not 1 on 1 same'. PLus you must try 'Rumz Al Rasasi 9325'...also a very close clone of aventus
@Aaron Terence Hughes Please do a review on Emperor Extrait by Parfums Vintage ! I sold my Aventus for this. Performs WAY better and lasts long. This is what I wish Aventus had been.
My bad, Aaron. I have not smelled Creed Aventus, too broke to afford it. So i got Armaf CDNIM EDP and Al Haramain L'Adventure. Frankly, i love both, no need for Aventus.
Thank you for your amazing content and hard work, Aaron. Would you please consider reviewing Kalan by Parfums de Marly? It's the most interesting and multifaceted fragrance from Parfums de Marly in my opinion.
what i like about parfums vintage is that there is a wide rand from more pineapple to more musk to even more smokiness for their aventus clones. also i recommend their paramour which is their take in dior savauge elixer, it is amazing and better rpice range
You're a saint for going through this process 😂 I bought my first batch in 2014 and every 6-8 months after for about 3 years? 4 sprays and you used to be able to smell that magical sweet, birch quality from 5 yards away. People smelt you coming before you got there. I still like and appreciate it for what it was but i just can't for the money and what it's become. Like if i could go back in time and pay to see Tyson fight in his prime there'd be no amount of money i wouldnt pay. I'd still pay to see him today because its still Iron Mike, but not much because he's a shadow of his former self. Odd analogy but idk 🤷♂️
I have never cared much about Aventus but I think my favorite clone is Emperor from Parfums Vintage. Most relatable to the legendary batch 11z01, perfectly balanced.
I’ve been hearing a lot that your Supernova is a Creed Aventus inspired fragrance as well. I haven’t tried it yet to say for myself but I am interested in testing it when it becomes available.
Terrence great review as always! When are you gonna be shipping your perfume collection to the US? Everything is always sold out at the local distributors.
I love explorer but i hate the longevity, i sprayed myself 15 times and went to my gf, we hugged and i asked if she likes the perfume, she said she can't smell anything. i was wondering if i can't smell it after a few minutes because of ambroxan or whatever but no, it has super bad longevity. is there a good clone for explorer that lasts at least 4 hours?
Did you bought it recently? It usually gets better after some weeks as it mancerates, at first I got the same feeling as you but now lasts forever, even the next day on clothes
My Explorer never got better with maceration. Four years later, I can spray myself 20 times on the chest and neck and by the time I walk out of the house, I can't smell it nor anyone else. 😅 Still a beautiful fragrance. Will buy it again after that bottle runs out, which should've run out years ago with how much I overspray it.
If you guys like the fruity-woody profile and want something that smells totally unique and high-quality, *Tequila Noir* is Aventus-y and has like a licorice note to it in the drydown that's pleasant, and I dislike licorice. Shame it doesn't last long. If long-lasting is what you want, *Mancera Cedrat Boise* is amazing in my opinion and the king of longevity. It opens very sweet and juicy but not tart. I wish it had some tartness, but it smells dry. Still, it makes me want to drink it, because it doesn't smell like a cologne. It then smells like actual wood smoke and has a petroleum-ey/charcoal-y quality in the drydown that is addictive. I bought it blindly and had to immediately order a spare bottle. I like it much more than Aventus, because it smells thicker, sweeter, deeper and more defined. It smells bigger too. Like, the scent occupies more "mind space" when it hits your nose. I find Aventus' olfactory image smells smaller. Cedrat Boise lasts all day and night, too. I do find the 2021 batch slightly sweeter and stronger than the 2022 even if I bought bottles the same week. EDIT: If you want an Aventus-ey kind of scent but that it doesn't smell like the dupes and it's not sweet at all but leans more floral and later on gets slightly smokey, *Princesse Marina de Bourbon Monsieur Le Prince Intense* is fantastic and unknown. If you've smelled the early 2017 Aventus batches, you'll smell a similarity in it. I'm on my second bottle, and it gets more nuanced and complex with maceration, too.
Should have tried L'aventure Intense rather than the original, it's more Aventus. Still synthetic but not quite as bad, and has great performance. Tons of compliments I've gotten from it but it definitely isn't as good as the original aventus or Pineapple Vintage, much cheaper though! Wish my actual bottle of Aventus lasted as long, but it is what it is
I’ve already had CDNIM. I liked it, but nothing special. I just purchased Montblanc explorer but only the 1oz because I want to try it and see if I like it before I purchase a 3.4oz tester.
This is the BEST decision. Your 30mL will last you 2yrs-3yrs. And you probably spent around $30 for it.(that’s smart 🤓) Over this time you’ll discover other fragrances that fit the same category as Explorer and hopefully you’ll get DECANTS of those as well (as opposed to full sized bottles). -⭐️ This is one of the best ways to smell like a million bucks without breaking the bank. “Decants”. For the cost of a full size bottle at retail you could purchase 4 or 5 decants (5mL) of fragrances in this video and experience the various interpretations
@R4N2Jz I recently bought a sample from DecantX and was so impressed that I pulled the trigger on a full bottle. I think it was a dead ringer of the original Aventus. Also... I would say it has average performance but cheap enough to justify reapplying if needed. But...keep in mind that supposedly Aventus scented anything varies so much that you may experience something different than what I did, or at least everybody seems to think there's drastic differences. If the bottle coming in smells anything like the decant I have, you can't beat it.
Great comparison. I would also add Imperium by Electimuss into this. However, not to sound like a fanboy, but to me; no 'clone' of Aventus that I've ever smelled really smells like Aventus. Just similar to.
Man, i love the smell of older batches of Aventus. I have one tried and true very balanced clone of Aventus by DUA - Poseidon's Remix Mod 3. Perfectly balanced smokiness, fruitiness, and sweetness with added ISOE Super giving it a lot if airyness.
Thank you Aaron. Some clone houses are really a joke. Just take the first clone Pineapple Vintage. $85 for 50ml. Thats $170 for 100ml. Thats almost! as much as Aventus costs. Clones should supposed to be affordable perfumes for those who dont want or cant pay the full price. They steal an idea and then ask the price of the original they stole from.
To be 100% fair, a price of a 100ml bottle is never double the price of a 50ml one. It's only 20-40% more in most cases. With that out of the way, YES, clone houses are so disgusting. Buy the real thing or GTFO. World-class perfumers didn't work their ass off to come up with an original, and the brands distributing the original fragrances didn't pay a shitton of money for the massive media campaigns to make the fragrance sell just to then have some arabs waltz in, take the intellectual property (sorry, no racism here, it's just that they're the main culprits) then create and sell cheap, synthetic, gaudy-looking knock-offs. ...And now they're getting even more greedy with their price points? Absolutely revolting.
Creed Aventus goes for $345 for a 100ML bottle and that’s being nice. Don’t see how they are around the same price lol. If you listen to what he said that the PVI last longer and is stronger. You are basically getting a longer lasting fragrance with a sweeter pineapple accord for half the price.
@@flyingsquirrel1512 I mean you can also buy a fake Louis Vuitton bag or a fake Rolex for 25% of thenal price and lie to your self that it looks and feels like the original. It is what it is, an Aventus clone.
@@Sele81 That is true, but then again unless you have one of the original creed aventus bottles from before 2015. Can you really say you have the real deal?
Mountblanc would of been perfect if it only lasted longer and projected more, after an hour it goes down into a skin scent and couple hours later cant really smell it. and this is compared to CDNMI EDT and parfum on each hand the CDNMI lasts 3-4x longer
Crazy that you mention Explorer lasting longer than Aventus considering Explorer is rather infamous for being some weak ass juice. I get 1-2 hours of good wear, then it becomes a skin scent. After 4 hours its just gone Club de Nuit however lasts the entire day on me
@@jmerced Well I have both and I can tell you this much: on the rare occasion that people comment on Explorer its within an hour of leaving the house...with sauvage EDT and Club de Nuit I got positive reactions and people turning around e.g. in the Supermarket well into the drydown

Aaron, it would be great if you did a segment with fragrances you think are best for “gym bros”. Scents that would mesh well with a manly man’s pheromones. Musky, Fresh, and/or even a bit of oud. And happy that you value Montblanc Explorer. It is very underrated by many because it is affordable, but it is clearly a good fragrance.
Enjoyable content as always! Also have to say that I received K**t today and its a brilliant fragrance, I can't wait to buy more of your work!
Thank you for supporting my work!🦄🦄
I got my bottle of K**t today too!
@@AaronTerenceHughesbig fan of the ink mate, and a big thankyou for sharing this video with us! Helped me out A LOT!!
Surprised with your take on L'aventure. Almost everyone recommend it as the closest aventus clone but my favorite is also explorer.
It gets down to splitting hairs but for the price and how close it gets to Aventus for my money it's Montblanc Explorer .
try Loewe Esencia EDP. Another clone close to Montblanc Explorer. Overall I prefer Aventus anyways. On clothes Aventus is long lasting and smoky in a base. It lasts on me after 10 sprays on my t-shirt (chest area) around 6-7 hours easily.
I wasn't expecting this topic! I have armaf and mont blanc myself.
I gotta say, happy to see this video, I subscribed.
You mentioned about maceration. Will be nice to have a video explaining exactly from a perfumer point of view. Thank you
You know how most of the time spaghetti sauce, chilli and soups seem to taste better after they’ve been cooled and then reheated the next day?
I thought it was a really nice list of clones and dupes and really fun to hear you review them all! Thank you for the review as always 🙂
Yeah, Explorer isn't strong at all but something about it is attractive and superior to Aventus in my experience.
I would really like Aaron to review one of the new F batches. I’ve recently tested 2 of them and they actually seem to perform very well on my skin, whereas the few batches that I tested around 2 years ago were really weak in longevity and projection.
Same. I have f973 and it's unbelievable!!!!
Jeroboam Vespero is another excellent Aventus clone. $125 for 30ml and it performs great for me.
at that price, get creed
right, lol. no way im paying $125 for 30ml of a clone.@@CRsiuuuu
Interesting, I never considered it an Aventus clone. It’s much more about the leather and isn’t as smoky or fruity. Great fragrance in its own right.
They are compliant.
I've never actually smelled Aventus. I really like Explorer though.
I tried a ton of Aventus clones. The ones I found best were the Parfums Vintage pineapple range. I have 6 different bottles, from smokier to sweeter, that are worn based on mood and weather. The longevity is okay, but where they really shine is on clothing. They will last for ages, and even through washes.
try their sauvage elixer clone called paramour
have you tried supremacy not only intense?
Yes, wasn't a fan honestly. It had a slightly synthetic quality to it that seemed a little off putting. @@scbr2458
Finally reviews from someone who knows his cards. Keep it up Sir.
Mont Blanc explorer is an amazing scent
Irrelevant but I just bought a 10ml of your ‘Luna’ and dang is it perfect! You need to get more ways to sell in USA. I need more of your fragrances 😊
Huge new fan here. I love your honest fragrance reviews and have watched several other YT influencers review your line. I'm looking forward to experiencing several of your fragrances in the near future. ❤
Something on you changed! Not sure if it’s just the surrounding & setup. You seem to be very happy. It shows! Glad for you 😊
Oh and great Video as always!
I would be really interested to know what you think of the "Esencia Edp" from "Loewe". Its a high quality feel Aventus with a bit of a green touch.
After testing all of these minus the Pineapple Vintage I wear Perfume Parlours Ultra Fruity version
How are they performance wise? Good projection and longevity?
@@foyzulalam6417 they're okay but the OG has never been a beast mode fragrance. They're subtly there, working away in the background. Enough to get complimented 🙌
Have been waiting for this video.
Thank you Aaron. 🙏🏻
Will SOMEONE give Aaron an early batch aventus to try and review FFS
@@jeffbrown7790
LE is the best, I got all cdnim flanker.
In think you need some time to notice the different how well LE is blended.
I concur out of all those clones Mont Blanc Explorer is the best Aventus type fragrance .
only in the openin the dry down does its own thing tbf
A current sample of Aventus is the only fragrance I’ve ever gotten a compliment from. I don’t have any ATH yet but that’s gonna change real soon. You’re my new favorite RUclipsr.
I have hard candy from him and it’s great
You shouldve gotten emperor extrait from parfums vintage…thats the best aventus clone out there. Smells nearly 1:1…also their most expensive fragrance
Actually, their most expensive is PVI VI & Unisex Intense
@@nunyabidniz3262 ahh okay, well emperor extrait is still almost $200 for a 100ml
Dunhill Desire Gold seems to get the opening right, closer than the vast majority of the contending clones, but it doesn't last to really even reach the dry down stage (it becomes a very faint sin scent). I'm still searching for the perfect 1:1 clone...
If you layer pineapple vintage and Club di Nuit intense Limited Edition, it's Aventus gold and I used to have one of the original batches...
Perfect video. Now we need a similar one for Dior Sauvage Elixir vs its clones please.
Thank you Aaron 🏆💯
most fragrances including aventus have been reformulated due to IFRA rules.
I get that reaction too sometimes if I spray too much, even with CDNIM. Explorer was the smoothest of the clones that I’ve had.
@@paulb2995Explorer is next-level smooth and transparent. I just wish it was stronger and more defined. I find it too ethereal and non-descript, but at the same time that's what sets it apart from every other clone/inspiration, and the ingredients are high-quality.
Thank you for the fantastic video!
obviously the mont blanc explorer is your most fav because its not from a western or european country...says a lot!
I've got CDNIM LE, once I run out I'll get mont blanc explorer.
@Aaron Terence Hughes Please do a review on Emperor Extrait by Parfums Vintage ! I sold my Aventus for this. Performs WAY better and lasts long. This is what I wish Aventus had been.
I can think of 2 not on the list of inspirations of Aventus. DUA - Poseidon and Reyane - Insurrection Pure.
My bad, Aaron. I have not smelled Creed Aventus, too broke to afford it. So i got Armaf CDNIM EDP and Al Haramain L'Adventure. Frankly, i love both, no need for Aventus.
Great and honest review.
Aaron you need to venture into narrating books. Your voice just transports me to a heavenly place.
The club de nuit almost smells like a burnt lemon in the beginning but as you said ..the dry down is nice!👍🏼
I was doing this today. I currently have Montblanc on my left hand and Aventus on my right. I actually prefer the Montblanc. Aventus is annoying me.
Thank you for your amazing content and hard work, Aaron. Would you please consider reviewing Kalan by Parfums de Marly? It's the most interesting and multifaceted fragrance from Parfums de Marly in my opinion.
I've been wanting your discovery box, but i live in Alaska, and it's not available. :( Hopefully, one day, you can ship here. Any updates coming soon?
what i like about parfums vintage is that there is a wide rand from more pineapple to more musk to even more smokiness for their aventus clones. also i recommend their paramour which is their take in dior savauge elixer, it is amazing and better rpice range
Great reviews. Thank you.
I’d love your take on insidious by insiders parfum. I swear it will kick all of the other dupes tails like Jackie Chan on 40 mg of adderall 😂
Exactly
Hahaha actually apt analogy
I have never cared much about Aventus but I think my favorite clone is Emperor from Parfums Vintage. Most relatable to the legendary batch 11z01, perfectly balanced.

Terrence great review as always! When are you gonna be shipping your perfume collection to the US? Everything is always sold out at the local distributors.
Missed Afnan Supremacy Silver. Imo a very close attempt to cloning the earlier Aventus batches.
@@cristianoferreira824 this year, as i was almost finished with the bottle it didnt get any stronger
@@klikfisz that's strange i wear mine for work and get a strong 6 to 7 hours with lots of compliments from clients

I ordered Explorer based on your review. :D
One people never seem to mention as an Aventus clone is Abercrombie and Fitch Authentic
Congrats on 100k aaron
Wish my actual bottle of Aventus lasted as long, but it is what it is
I was thinking the same thing
I wish you included Nishane- Hacivat. I like morning chess better for summer because it's very bright and smooth to me :)
Darn, afnan supremacy silver is probably the best next to explorer. I was hoping it was in this review.
Is it better than explorer? cuz i just blind bought it. its supposed to arrive soon
Well...
Much awaited comparison from the perspective of a perfumer
Mountblanc would of been perfect if it only lasted longer and projected more, after an hour it goes down into a skin scent and couple hours later cant really smell it. and this is compared to CDNMI EDT and parfum on each hand the CDNMI lasts 3-4x longer
Amazing video but you didnt try Supremacy Not Only Intense Silver which supposed to be the best.
Crazy that you mention Explorer lasting longer than Aventus considering Explorer is rather infamous for being some weak ass juice. I get 1-2 hours of good wear, then it becomes a skin scent. After 4 hours its just gone
Club de Nuit however lasts the entire day on me
Exactly what I have heard. I was surprised Aaron thought differently. Can be frustrating, there's never a consensus on this topic.
@@jmerced Well I have both and I can tell you this much: on the rare occasion that people comment on Explorer its within an hour of leaving the house...with sauvage EDT and Club de Nuit I got positive reactions and people turning around e.g. in the Supermarket well into the drydown
Thanks for that. I just got a sample of Sauvage elixir and I'm really enjoying it. I never bought the original but did by Armaf Ventana (supposed to be a clone) and I wear it all the time. Quite strong, super cheap, last me all day.@@KompletterGeist
Aaron, it would be great if you did a segment with fragrances you think are best for “gym bros”. Scents that would mesh well with a manly man’s pheromones. Musky, Fresh, and/or even a bit of oud. Tom Ford’s oud wood is a favorite of mine, but also a cheapie that makes my sweat sexy is Mont Blanc Legend Red, possibly because of the blood Orange innit. Thanks in advance. Ciao.
Wish u couldve tried Afnan Supremacy NOI and Supremacy Silver 🙌
I LOVE Supremacy Silver. It does have this smoked ham/new rubber tire note to it, but I enjoy that a lot as weird as that might seem. I wish the fragrance had way more longevity. Just kicks for an hour and then checks out.
I heard that mont blanc explorer was made before Aventus...
