I like this more than standard aventus. I do love the drydown. Can’t justify the price.
what i really dont get is the pricing in Norway (where i live)
Creed Aventus Absolu goes for 3970 KR = 366.68$
Creed Aventus (50ml) goes for 2605 KR = 240.70$
Creed Aventus (100ml) goes for 3660 KR = 338.18$
As far as i can see Aventus Absolu is priced at 545$ on their own website
with the normal Creed Aventus coming out at 495$.
i do understand that creed is from Paris, but the difference is pretty insane.
that being said i do enjoy my Aventus Absolu.

Aaron's review was literally going to determine if I bought it or not. I sincerely doubt this will be a limited edition. It's already at discounters. Just my opinion, but I think it's marketing (it's creed) trying to see how it sells and how it's received. The first batch may be limited, but if people are buying it, they're not going to discontinue it.
I also prefer this to all the regular Aventus I've smelled before. Love it.
I love it, happy with my purchase as I don't have many bottles but invest in special ones. I think this is going to be a yearly release.

I think Creed did a smart thing by making it limited. And seeing how so many people would chase after this and grab a bottle regardless of the price.

I absolutely love this stuff, just a shame about the price. Definitely don't think it'll be limited edition though, probably just a PR stunt to get more sales, knowing the horrible greedy company creed has become nowadays 😢.

Tried this in Harrods yesterday. The guy sprayed the original on left and this on right. The original smelt totally flat compared to this, its lovely in the opening and mid. Dry down honestly they smelt the same to me and didn't last as long either. If the drydown remained like the start/mid I would of picked up a bottle I think.

Aventus was one of the reasons I started getting into fragrances back in the days. I still consider myself a fan and I can't wait to test out Absolu.
Aaron asked why we think this is a limited edition. Probably to justify the hefty price tag. But it could also be due to inflation and agreements with suppliers for a certain ordered ammount of raw ingredients.
I’m surprised you are cool with the price. $545 for 75ml. Limited but all so familiar a scent.
I haven't tried yet and hope to but my skeptical feeling is it is limited in order to justify the prices jacked up. By limited I do wonder how many million they made (lol). Always enjoy your perspectives.

Wow i was expecting Aaron to take it apart and say it isn't worth it etc but it's a perfect 10, I ain't paying for it though i have the original aventus and i like it but not enough to repurchase it,
just got a decant i sprayed it on my arm and its a very nice scent but for the price i think there are better options just my opinion :)

They said limited yet I’ve seen at least three different batch codes so far. I wonder what bottle he has because one is black currant prominent and another is grapefruit prominent in the opening.
It’s smells so good but it’s super expensive for a 75ml. I love the Aventus cologne though I do have Club de Nuit for the Aventus type of dna edt for the Smokey birch feel
It's not birch we smell in CDNIM. It's bad chemicals. I honestly can't stand it on my skin. Saved some money and bought another Aventus bottle. No comparison really.
@@steliosc.4686well I’ve had an og Aventus batch but these new ones don’t compare so that’s why I got CDNIM for that nostalgic feel of og aventus, had the 125 ml

Can you please try Etat Libre d’Orange Hermann? It gets compared to toy boy(which i like a lot) but i dont know if i should blind buy.
Great so the bottles are priced over 150 dollars higher in the U.S and I bout 3 bottles. I could have gotten another whole bottle in Europe.
I’m personally really impressed by the scent and my lady is blown away by it.
It's a good fragrance but I was waiting more from this.
I have a sample, I actually like the scent. It has vibes of Dior Sauvage Elixir….just fresher and lighter.

It may be limited temporarily to see how it sells. I'd imagine Aventus Absolu will continue if there's a great response to it.

My Aventus sample is light citrus airy. No smoke or black currant.

The only reason it’s limited edition is so that they can charge more for it. There are no ingredients in this fragrance that are in any way rare or hard to get hold of. Guerlain do limited editions every year (like the Shalimar Milessime’s) that are less than half this price & using just as good (if not higher) quality ingredients, so it is possible to produce limited editions without ripping off buyers.
How does this compare to Sauvage Elixir? Which of the 2 would you prefer?
This has become my most complimented fragrance after a few months.

So happy I only bought a decant of this. I don’t mind spending extra for a great fragrance but this is definitely not it, at least for myself.

I got a 10ml of it and it’s really nice imo. Definitely way overpriced, but a lot of people hate on the actual smell of it and I don’t see why.
People are hating on an uninspired fragrance that's retailing for this price. The moment this is marketed at $180-200 for that 75ml, this wouldn't be getting the criticism.
Because 99% of them haven’t tried it, and are simply judging off notes and typical Creed hate.
"One of a kind..." sounds of acknowledgement of their problems with keeping batches consistent.
$500+ for any fragrance is madness.
Why, do you know how they are made? I do because I’ve seen it. It’s actually a very expensive ingredient to produce, far more than designer fragrances that are now ultimately synthetic!
I’ll never buy a fragrance that’s 500 dollars. I wear designers that cost between 40-80 dollars and smell just as good or even better than people that wear niche and all these guys wearing niche think they so special. Haha.

Is the ambroxan strong in it? Since it's getting compared to Sauvage I'm wondering if the ambroxan is heavy in the Creed. Not a fan of ambroxan.

No scent is really worth that much. But that's lux economics and lux pricing.
Well we don’t wear the bottle or the cap. The liquid isn’t different enough to pay the amount. It just isn’t.

Great video. I’m glad to see you didn’t say it was a sauvage clone like some people are saying. I see ZERO sauvage comparison in the smell. It’s a shame that people see “grapefruit” as a listed note and automatically think it’s Sauvage inspired.

Aaron, i was speaking to one of the creed reps on the creed stand in fenwicks about batch variations and she reckons the time of year that different batches are made could be a reason why there is so much variation. She said due to them using natural raw materials to create the fragrances the availability and quality of certain natural ingredients can change throughout the year and thinks this could be why different batches have different qualities and why sometimes more of birch or pineapple or smokiness comes through. Would that make sense?
Let me make it easier : they watered down just to save money. The sales assistant was selling u stories , like all the creed brand :)
Am I the only one who thinks this and Spicebomb Night Vision have a similar scent??? They both have a similar lingering smell but the Absolu Aventus sample I have is more smooth while Night Vision is more aggressive? I'm not a Scent or Fragrance Guru but they smell similar to me...

Creed seems to be far more expensive in the UK than here in Ireland. Absolu Aventus costs €320 here (which is obviously not cheap, €320 is about £275 for you UK folk), but is roughly €60 cheaper than the UK. Similarly Creed is even cheaper in France. UK & USA seem to be screwed even more. Silly prices !
I bought a bottle two weeks ago and have been wearing it daily. It reminds me of the old 2011 batches with their smoky, blackcurrant, and birch aromas. I’ve received the usual compliments, which is always nice. Just like the original Aventus, it’s very easy to become anosmic to this fragrance. It smells nothing like Elixir. I must say, Creed has definitely listened to the fans and has delivered a beautiful masterpiece.

This IMO is not limited at all I think it’s a marketing strategy to get people to pay such a high price for a small amount fragrance.
I prefer this over previous Aventus variations, but too expensive for me

yes it smells like aventus but with a more amber, cleaner, more crisp smell to it

This is a heavier scent than the original, I get the more green notes I find it more mossy. Everything from the packaging and bottle is a massive step up by creed. I don't understand all the negative comments or the comparison to sauvage elixir. I think it is a brilliant scent and I was happy to pay the money based on it being a limited edition. Well done creed and Aaron for the honest spot on review ❤
Lol I heard if you mix two sprays of Aventus and two sprays of Sauvage Elixir, you get the same scent.
I found this perfume SO heavy on the pepper notes that it made impossible to wear it even with just 1 spray. Cloying and headache inducing for me.
Tried it today... on my skin it smells 90% like Dior Sauvage Elixir with a heavy pineapple sillage...
Anyone who says it doesn't smell like sauvage elixir is delusional or in denial cos they paid £300 for a boring fragrance
