Never smelled Absolu however when smelling both Aventus and Aventus Cologne I went with the Cologne. I like that the scent is light and has received tons of compliments when wearing it.
I’m convinced I should buy cologne this summer!

Ranked in the correct order Aaron. The Cologne IS better than newer formulations of the regular Aventus. Absolu has been criticised, mainly due to the price, but is deeper and much more substantial.

Loved how you described Aventus Cologne, I find people give this more compliments. I wanted the smell of the original without punching people in the face with it and the cologne works. Can't wait until I smell Absolu. Thanks for reviewing Creed fragrances Aaron, they are expensive but my nose always goes back to them.
Aventus is the better fragrance.
I have and enjoy both but people around me find original Aventus more potent to their nostrils. The original was ground breaking and will always be a legend.@@MrBin2

I haven't had the chance to try Absolu yet, but I would absolutely choose Aventus Cologne over Aventus
What is your reasoning on why it’s better? I have yet to try the cologne version…
@@BillyLydon Not a popular opinion, I'm sure, but Aventus did not move me like the Cologne flanker did. Might have to do with age, climate (I live in Cyprus), but it comes down to the fact I liked the more fresh and aromatic profile better than the sweet fruity of the classic.

Tried Aventus Absolu yesterday. In my opinion there is definitely a Sauvage Elixir "type note" which comes out during the dry down and which made me think of that fragrance. I think Absolu is very good and is a good substantial update to Aventus but the price point is ridiculous. I also dont know if its unique enough smell wise to stand out from the crowd because of what I detect as close connections smell wise to other fragrances already out there like Sauvage Elixir.

@curlyhairdudeify Cinnamon and Cardimon maybe? I'm no perfumer so just comparing notes used in both absolu and Elixir. Elixir is definitely more liquorice whereas absolu is like a toned down mix of Aventus with Elixir. Everyone's nose is different so you may disagree but I can smell the similarities.

As high quality as sauvage elixer is, Absolu aventus is much smoother and rich. And I love that licorice note in elixer.
Bought a bottle of Absolu and am completely satisfied. Absolu is a perfect confluence of Aventus and Aventus Cologne. Thanks for the review.

I love the elegance of your reviews, Aaron! You do a great job at explaining the different materials and notes. I picked up a bottle of Absolu Aventus on Maxaroma for $400 and absolutely love it. I also have the Aventus cologne which I wear as a daily!

Love creed aventus and cologne version. I love absolu and I get good longevity out of it. Creed done a dam good job people can hate all they want
Maybe Exaltolide is one of musks used in Aventus Cologne. It gives a 'fabric like' cleanness, to my nose of course.
You are exactly right on the order of best to worst not that any of them are bad. Aventus absolu is the best!

Great video Aaron. I agree that Absolu is a wonderful rendition of what the original started. The ranking does fit the order I would put them in if I ranked it with my 21 bottle of Aventus (OG)as well. But saying that I have new 22, metal cap OG bottle and it smell strong and smokey so I would have to put it in equal with the cologne. 😊 ❤
I bought an F Batch of Aventus after reading about the F-Batch hype recently. Its nice so far. Just got it yesterday so it might need a few days to get stronger. I gues you talking about the F-Batch in your last sentence?
@@PrepaidKreditkarte81 yes mate. I wore it to work yesterday and it was performing well. However it is warm here in Melbourne so project is down but in the cold weather it does great on my skin. 😊

@@ElGuerreroMaya it’s still cold here 10-15 degrees but in 1 month I will get the Aventus cologne! I went to a shop to smell it and creed Aventus was very strong in your face!!! Meanwhile cologne was more was chill mode and more suitable for warmer weather indeed.

My favourite “smell” of the three is still the OG Aventus. I remembered pre-odering it back in 2010 prior to it being released and me knowing nothing about what it was going to smell like. Big risk but ended up worth it. Till date, it is still my most complimented fragrance of all time, the most compliments being from my 2010 batch. I do admit that the compliments took a nose dive from my 2017 batch and I am quite bored of the Aventus DNA now which I would say is due to the over saturation of the market with soooooooooooooooooooooo many Aventus like fragrances.
I started in 2016 with Aventus but got off the ‘Aventus train’ in 2019. I liked the 2017s with the heavier vanilla personally. All the clones ruined this scent profile imo,I smell CDNIM EVERYWHERE these days unfortunately

I’ve got the OG and Cologne and been wearing the Cologne more since it’s summer here in Australia. Only thing with the cologne, I’ve had quite a few people ask if I’m wearing Acqua Di Gio. They say it smells great but that’s obviously a lot cheaper but it’s a similar type of smell for the general public.

@@fatsixtysix5392 it’s a bit bizarre but it is what it is. They don’t even really smell alike but maybe ADG is so well known people assume it’s it. It’s a nice cologne but it’s basically a luxurious designer smelling fragrance.

Sausage Elixer smells like Drakar from the 80s. Aventus absolu doesn’t smell like Drakar.
Aventus cologne was released in 2018 ... on the video it says 2010
For me I love Aventus cologne & I actually tested Absolu and I like it more than Aventus.

I bought Aventus and AC during the last year, and Absolu. All have metal caps.

Absolu aventus is a darker fragrance i still feel aventus the original is iconic but needs better packaging now in line with absolu. The cologne does not appeal to me because why would you buy something that sits in the middle. I love the absolu but im not sure they should have put the aventus name to it i feel aventus is an iconic scent and should sit on its own with a better bottle and packaging today

Every Aventus has something that I dislike... OG Aventus is a grrrreat scent but this performance ain't worth the price, even with a discount. The Cologne is such a nice summer flanker but it's too lightweight for my taste although it lasts longer in my skin. The Absolu Aventus has the best opening ever and a great performance... but that opening fades after 10-15 minutes and this is where this fragrance stops to shine (for me) while being ridiculously overpriced at the same time.

Absolu is gorgeous. Cologne is more sophisticated. Aventus is really sharp and unpleasant to me. Cloying hard to enjoy wearing.

For me, Absolu Aventus is the best Aventus I've ever smelled...and my wife LOVES it on me. I've worn it twice and each time she kept coming up kissing me and putting he nose to my neck.

I feel a little sorry for the people that never smelt Aventus from 2011 to 2013. Without a doubt it was the King of all kings. Nothing compared. The thing would last all week on your skin. Haha

I don’t understand the love for Absolu. The opening is fantastic, but it lasts 2 minutes and then you’re left with an inferior sauvage Elixir as a skin scent, with virtually no projection.
Trust me buddy, we are more like you than people that like this scent.

Aventus is so overrated. Millesime Imperial & Green Irish Tweed are so much better.
Green Irish Tweed is their best long lasting one. Millesime Imperial smells good, but doesn’t last long. That’s the Downside with this brand. They have great smelling fragrances, but they lack performance and the fact that they cost $500 a bottle is a huge rip off
With that much price I rather go with AMOUNG OR PDM.✌️😏

I have tried it yesterday and on my skin it is all spices apart from 10 more minute opening. It smells 95% like another fragrance that I tried somewhere else. I would definitely not spend the $$$ on it. Anyone who is expecting this to be just a heavier version of CA, will be surprised. It is not the same. It is a completely different fragrance. Smells nice but not original for my liking. More suited for Winter due to spices in it.
I would love to try these Fragrance Houses. But I cannot afford. I can only afford Clones
No shame in that. I'd rather buy a Creed clone because compared to old versions it just isn't worth the extortionate asking prices.

It's beyond me paying for Aventus these days, it's so so weak compared to how it used to be, I'd rather pay £50 for the limited edition CDNIM, it's got better everything compared to Aventus these days.
You should try afnan not only intense. It's in a similar style to these but in the darker side and way cheaper
Absolu is a great disappointment 👎👎 It's a sweet mess, bought it, used it a few times, got back to using the original Aventus 👌
@@MisterNaughtyDaddy absolu seems to be more of a fall and winter scent whereas the original Aventus is all year round. So I can understand why others might see it as a big disappointment. I know sweet fragrances don’t do good in warm to hot weather

MY OPINION.
There is no doubt that Absolu Aventus is a gorgeous fragrance. It is the best version of Aventus out at the moment. However, it is well overpriced and it wasn't needed. They should be creating new fragrances instead of constantly cashing in on the same shit. Creed are just taking the piss at this point.

I think the "Aventus Absolu" is disgustingly overpriced. In 6 months, someone will make a clone it. At that point this Creed will be "Aventus Obsolete"...
Alexandria fragances already cloned it and it’s about 90-95% spot on. I have both and I can’t tell the difference to be honest.
@sauryvalerio4894 Yeah. Parfyme Parlour Avalanche Absolu is supposedly a 100% clone. And it's less than 10% of the price. Same longevity and scent from what I hear. Also, it just about sold out the moment it was released.
