- The Wild Hunt are one of the most deadly factions within the world of The Witcher. Known throughout the realms as just a part of folk lore, to many they were just a story that you would tell to scare people. However, their true nature was devastating for humanity all over the multiverse.
But where did the Wild Hunt come from? Why did they form? What was their ultimate goal and what happened to them in the end?
In this video we look at the ghostly raiders who would enslave you and freeze your village. This is the lore behind The Wild Hunt.

The cards also have effects that somewhat reflect their lore.
I know Witcher from my teenage years. It still surprise me how popular it became worldwide. It's nice to see people around the world diving into this universe and falling in love with it...like I did years ago.
Always loved the Witcher when I first played it in 2011. Such a rich and detailed story!
@@WiseFish well...I read the story in middle of 90'. It was one of those "Lord of the ring" books kind of experience. I felt in love with characters, story and the universe...right away. Then we made tv series (we...I mean Polish) which was absolutely horrible...and finally guys from CD Project made it known for the rest of the world thanks to video game. So cool to see next generations falling into this story. Awesome.
I remember playing 2 and reading one of the books and no one knowing it exists lol
I kinda think it would be funny if these guys accidently tried to invaded the world of Cyberpunk or 40k.
They'd get obliterated in seconds

A. Cyberpunk is made by the same the same game studio that makes the Witcher games.
B. The actor who plays Geralt is leaving the Witcher and taking a role in a Warhammer 40k show.
C. It's definitely funny to think about if you have a semblance of humor and enough knowledge about the three verses.

Joseph Anderson theorized that in the first witcher game you arent actually fighting Eredins spectre at the end since youre in a shared dream state with the main villian. Pretty convincing but he also took like an entire hour to fully explain his point. Worth the watch.
An epic overview and recap of the lore in this fantastic franchise. I never played the first 2 games but did play 3 and all the DLC, loved it dearly. Really enjoyed this bit of deeper lore into the antagonists of the game. Well played!

I have yet to read the Witcher novels. Your Witcher background video's are so very informative. The best I have ever seen. Congrats. Netflix had so much potential with the Witcher novels. They really "Dropped the ball" including letting Henry Cavill walk away. So much wasted potential. HBO would have done a better job by far.

Skip the books, listen to the audio books instead it’s an absolute treat.
IMO the books were ok for the first 2, to suck you in, then it got disjointed and went game of thrones, subverting expectations and leaving little to be invested in, the games are way better and the show was horrific, full of misandry and europhobia. Hoping the next game will be great, or I'll just do another playthrough on the witcher 3

All Witcher 3 cutscenes. The one with Geralt looking out is a loading screen then following that the Wild Hunt bit is from the intro cutscene

Actually humans are villains, they massacred the elves, same as the Europeans did with the native Americans. Also they treat all other races as inferior etc....

The artstyle of the drawn parts is really similar to the Darkest Dungeon. Is that intentional?
Is there any explanation as to why they are all so tall?? Like even the foot soldiers of the hunt are clearly much larger then our protagonist, and ereden and imelrith are even taller then them , google even says eredin is like 10 foot tall so what’s the go? Is it there just left gravity on there world?

Considering magic also appeared post conjunction and it works like a illness. Simply somehow a disease that affects humans on a different world spreaded to the continent via conjunction. Think of it this way, throughout history we have cases of diseases being carried from Europe and africa to lets say for example, the americans. Took the natives by suprise. Immune system couldnt fight these unknown new diseases.

They should have used the The Wild Hunt in the Netflix Witcher series. Would have made for an epic season or two. Too late now though....

The WH in the game did not seem too dangerous as a ton of missions involving them was cut, like their rampage through Novigrad.
Horizon Zero Dawn lore would be good.

The atmosphere created ingame when the wild hunt appears is unequaled imo. Its taken until Eldon ring before i could enjoy a game again !

THE WITCHER AND DRAGON AGE are sole of the best LORE in the video game UNIVERSE. How I wish PETER JACkson took interest in both this franchise. I would set aside $1000 for each of this franchises as I did for the LORD OF THE RINGS. Both can realistically at minimum generate $10 Billion each. A double trilogy. Just imagine a cinematic scene of GERALT Having to slay his once lover since she is the BOUNTY. Or an unlikely ELVEN assasin drafted from the slums of DENERIM to become the hero GREY WARDEN.
The whole wild hunt stupidity is the only thing that’s bad about the game. Felt lazy
