Didn't think Baiken would be the one to bring back so many new and old players but I'm happy she did
Why not? If you played the first one do you not remember how difficult it was to unlock her? She should always be in the game in my opinion.

@@Mr.Faust3 Arcsys or whoever is in charge of DLC characters know what they doing. They know she's one of the most popular characters in the game so they'll forever have her as DLC to rake in the big bucks.
@@leavemealonepleaseno because game has alot of gutted redesigns and baiken seems like almost ther persect transitiom outside of her counters. Still dprsnt completely cure my disappointment but shes very fum .

The voice acting is god like in this game. All the specials sound so cool

Yeah I love the attack voice sounds but I can't agree the sound is the best. I feel the slash and hitting sounds aren't impactful :(.
I’m always torn between Japanese, which objectively has better voice acting, or English, where my main Ino tells people to be her bottom bitch when she throws them lol

Baiken is an incredible character. She's the reason I came back to guilty gear strive

Baiken can actually parry supers as long as there not projectiles or grabs

You can parry Baiken's sword super on any of the hits and 2p between the 2nd and 3rd if you don't feel like taking the risk. Pretty reliable for the billions of mirror matches going on this week
Max got so thrashed by zato players at the beginning of Strive even after months of not playing his muscle memory is still enough to deal with them for the most part lol
As a Zato main, that match was particularly hard to watch

What I like about Baiken is that her gameplay is being good at measuring when you're going in, punishing whiff and/or hugging and juggling the opponent with tether...
... and when you're tired of that you pull her gun and shoot them in the face.

I think what makes her a great character is all of the tools she has are very useful most of the time
I am actual dumpster juice when it comes to fighting games yet I find Guilty Gear Strive so amusing
Hey max, if you hold heavy slash after you throw the kabari, you can press it again to extend the reach of your follow up attack, if your close enough to your opponent it will also let you pass through them giving you abit of mix up potential, have fun 👍
I love that Baiken has a sorta raspy voice which matches her weathered mercenary occupation perfectly.

I was worried about the DLC as lewis and Jack-o felt underwhelming to me and I didn't like the play style. But Chaos and Baiken are so much fun with the gun and tether that my faith has been restored in GG strive. Hoping the last character for dlc1 is Johnny

Today I fought a friend who really likes his wakeup DWTS reversal.
I called him out on it like five times with a counter. *SIT RIGHT BACK DOWN BIG MAN.*
Edit: try using her counter on wakeup supers. Because of the super flash, you almost always have time to input and sit them the fuck down.
You can 6h after a throw. You give up most of your oki but the extra damage can be good for closing out matches

How did Max land that combo in the beginning?? I can't get a close S after the dust attack, the recovery from the dust takes too long 😞
That tether is extremely risky because the opponent can capitalize from it too. I don’t use it that often tbh.
It mortally wounds me (insert sarcasm) they maimed Baiken's moveset especially her options after her claw grab but I'm happy she's back with her own stage.

Hey max, I know you’ve made tutorial videos over the years buts it’s been a while since you covered some basics. How about a training video non specific to a fighting game, but centered around universal mechanics/inputs. Basically a video on combo execution and how to practice effectively and not form bad habits on stick.
These exist everywhere for every fighting game, there is little reason for him to do it. There are so many niche youtubers who do just tutorials, why would Max suddenly start doing it?

Ramlethal is the one character I cannot learn how to play against and I refuse to believe there is a way without a specific character
Best way is to play against her is to find your best button to go in with. Bait sword tosses if you can and keep her pressured as long as possible. Characters with just as good range as her or chipp make whiffing her huge buttons risky. Then just get in and work your magic

I’m my opinion the onlyyyy thing she’s missing is more options to counter, they totally should have made it so she had a close range counter and then a longer range counter. I’ve had a couple situations already where the counter triggered and then missed because if they are to far Baiken can’t grab them. Otherwise damn I love this character, in XRD I found her to be overwhelming, but here in Strive she’s definitely my top 3
It doesn't miss. It guard crushes the opponent and stops their pressure.
Definitely prefer her Xrd music here. Gonna have to adopt the idea.
My one advice for that ram player is to play more patience and don't sword toss as much neutral.

Seeing Max getting absolutely obliterated is a rare sight. Getting the chance to inflict fear into the enemy really made that Ram quake.
Once u learn that ram match up patience, u are hard as steel!

they connect at different locations for different characters it seems. for happy chaos, it connects to his hand

Matches end too fast before the actual theme kicks in. It felt like you're just listening to the bassline during the whole fight and nothing else.
