I wish the star fragment trees were a thing. They would look amazing at night. But I’m not about to put them on my island and risk getting my game bricked with the next update or Nintendo banning me from online.
Doing that might bring permanent damage to your island but I don't think Nintendo would ever ban any people because of that. This is not a competitive online game after all. Whatever stuff you do, you do it for yourself without breaking other people's gaming experience. If they ban people for that, I would just think they are being silly and extra.

I won some star trees in a giveaway on Twitter before the last update. Nothing happened to the trees, they haven't created dead spots on my island, or ruined my save. I haven't had any issues.
As long as it is limited to star fragments I'd love to see the 'money trees' given such an update (at that point it would be better to call them treasure trees tho). Being able to grow star fragments instead of just bells in the shiny spots would be an elegant solution to acquiring more of the zodiac star fragments outside of their respective time frame. Since only one spot appear per day it wouldn't be particularly overpowered either.
@Cathy Grandstaff I'm sure they will give us a fruit update down the road which may introduce the previous random way of getting the initial one, but using the shiny spots to get your first perfect fruit is certainly an intriguing alternative method. I like it. :3

I love the Star Trees, they look realy amazing and glow in the dark! That would be a nice feature Nintendo (even if you have to put all 3 star fragments in the money hole)! Fish/critter/item/etc trees are nothing we need. Happy birthday btw ;)
What would be cool is if you had left over star fragments and if you planted them they would turn into hardwood trees that had twinkle lights on them like you strung them with "Christmas" lights to stay year round!
It looks really cool but I think this will just break the whole economy of animal crossing and trading trust. But who knows maybe it’ll encourage animal crossing to do something alone the lines of this.
After these past couple glitches the economy has probably been gutted anyway, at least until it makes a slow recovery. But general items and furniture on nookazon are still being offered with fair prices so, the AC community doesnt seem too effected by it.
I've spent 110 hours in ACNH so far and haven't got a single Star Fragment or even seen a shooting star, I've been waiting for someone to tell me there's a Meteor Shower in my town, so I wish you could just plant a Star Fragment and get more that easily. I'm probably missing something because I feel like I should've seen at least 1 shooting star by now, do you need to talk to Celeste before they show up or something because I haven't seen her yet?
Honestly you just have to have your volume up. The little noise they makes is so subtle and you’ve probably had a few shooting stars here and there. But a meteor shower will happen eventually
You don't need a meteor shower, just a clear sky and patience. Sometimes I just put on a youtube video to watch while I have my game ready for shooting stars. I just stand on the cliff and have my camera angle all the way down and once I hear a shooting star hold down A. Sometimes I end up not seeing any but it's not a waste of time since I had youtube playing 🤷🏼♀️ hope you're able to get some shooting stats soon!
You can see shooting stars between 7pm and 4am. All you have to do is look at the sky, wait patiently and if you want a Star Fragment, click on "a" when you see the shooting star. The fragment will end up on the shore of the sea the next day. You dont need a meteor shower :))
Talking to Celeste starts the process. I use to stand on a back cliff and never saw anything, even when Celeste was there. I moved to the front of my island and see them every 15 to 20 min when Celeste is there.
I'm so dumb, I skipped through the video for like 30 seconds and then went to my island all hype to grow a gold nugget tree by planting one in the glowing spot only to realise this whole thing requires hacks lmao
Well, I am now never going to accept a wrapped gift from another player. Those starbit trees look cool though, so I hope Nintendo finds it in their hearts to implement something like that in the game.

Not quite, Nintendo will purge these if it becomes a problem, either specifically or scrap entire islands, so I doubt anyone wants them that much, pretty awesome showcase, also enjoyed the river run trick and fourth plane being shown!

This method forces people to cut their prices to beat Tom Nook instead of going off of supply and demand. I hope that they would implement the possibility of a fallen star during meteor showers or when stars fall. It would be interesting if there could be a chance that a star would fall down toward the island instead of down the one way. Also after you press the A button you would see the star fall onto a spot on your island. The villager would say hmmm I heard a crashing noise. You could then search for a rainbow shine like a money tree hole or a star fragment sticking out of the ground. These holes could be dug up and then would be rainbow instead of gold. You could then place a fragment of your choice into the hole. Although they would take a week to grow instead of the 3 days. This would be really cool. Also possibly a set day to get a meteor shower because I have played since day zero and never got a single Meteor shower since.
Because of me never getting these things and no new content added I got bored quick. Like I want to collect paintings but Redd never comes and the wedding event is super boring.

To be honest i dont think Nintendo will relly do anything about the trees. Most people just use them for the aesthetic they are going for (i got 40 star trees yesterday since im going for a star aesthetic) People barely use them to shake them because the things on the trees CAN NOT grow back. I dont think (and really hope) that Nintendo bans people because i have these trees and i love the game.
I do wish we could just plant or craft a star fragment tree and it be more like a decoration (like the coconut tree lamp) and it be an unshakeable tree. But the rest of that is a little on the crazyside.
I think it would be cool if maybe on New Year’s Eve or some special day if/when Isabelle is out at the plaza, she could give you one singular sappling called a “treasure tree” you plant it like a normal tree, but when it grows fully, on it will be a mystery item ranging from star frags to some high selling fish. When you shake it a forth time, a new treasure tree sapling will fall out. You can just keep going an keep growing them.

When I was doing the duplication glitch where you duplicate items by placing them on top of each other the spot where I duplicated items made me not able to pick up anything in that vicinity. I was only able to pick stuff up there using the building mode.
I bought a tree with bugs and on my island I could pick them up in my inventory, I think its because its a nook mile island because u can place items. I could donate them to blathers but it didn't register for catching them

I’m assuming you can’t pick it up because it’s not on your island end it was immediately placed when you shook it,.. placed items on your own island can be picked up. This is pretty common knowledge though, so wasn’t sure why you were surprised

I love the idea of the start tree for decorating the island. I would not personally do it, but it would be nice for Nintendo to include the option to plant the stars.
I'd love it if Nintendo implemented this somehow, maybe if they made it so items "poof" away when you shake the tree and the player is given warnings, it would be cool. Like...you could choose to plant money, or sort of "waste" your glowspot on fragments.

I love the Star Trees, they look realy amazing and glow in the dark! That would be a nice feature Nintendo (even if you have to put all 3 star fragments in the money hole)! Fish/critter/item/etc trees are nothing we need.

It looks really cool but I think this will just break the whole economy of animal crossing and trading trust. But who knows maybe it’ll encourage animal crossing to do something alone the lines of this.
After these past couple glitches the economy has probably been gutted anyway, at least until it makes a slow recovery. But general items and furniture on nookazon are still being offered with fair prices so, the AC community doesnt seem too effected by it.
For a Holiday tour in Winter, we should be able to decorate a tree with ornaments and other things.

Celeste was on my island yesterday. I played for 3 hours straight, no shooting stars. Do I look like I want to stay on tune the whole night?
I've spent 110 hours in ACNH so far and haven't got a single Star Fragment or even seen a shooting star, I've been waiting for someone to tell me there's a Meteor Shower in my town, so I wish you could just plant a Star Fragment and get more that easily. I'm probably missing something because I feel like I should've seen at least 1 shooting star by now, do you need to talk to Celeste before they show up or something because I haven't seen her yet?
Honestly you just have to have your volume up. The little noise they makes is so subtle and you’ve probably had a few shooting stars here and there. But a meteor shower will happen eventually
You don't need a meteor shower, just a clear sky and patience. Sometimes I just put on a youtube video to watch while I have my game ready for shooting stars. I just stand on the cliff and have my camera angle all the way down and once I hear a shooting star hold down A. Sometimes I end up not seeing any but it's not a waste of time since I had youtube playing 🤷🏼♀️ hope you're able to get some shooting stats soon!
My first (and only) one was at like 210 hours. All I would say is be patient.
You can see shooting stars between 7pm and 4am. All you have to do is look at the sky, wait patiently and if you want a Star Fragment, click on "a" when you see the shooting star. The fragment will end up on the shore of the sea the next day. You dont need a meteor shower :))
Talking to Celeste starts the process. I use to stand on a back cliff and never saw anything, even when Celeste was there. I moved to the front of my island and see them every 15 to 20 min when Celeste is there.
I'm so dumb, I skipped through the video for like 30 seconds and then went to my island all hype to grow a gold nugget tree by planting one in the glowing spot only to realise this whole thing requires hacks lmao

Those starbit trees look cool though, so I hope Nintendo finds it in their hearts to implement something like that in the game.

I guess technically they could test it by planting it on a NMT Island to see what shows up, & if it's nothing shady, eat fruit & dig it back up & plant on your own island. ...
But I really don't think they need to be so worried about it that they're afraid of receiving wrapped gifts. It's just so unlikely. Only a REALLY bored & strange troll would go to the trouble of making friends with ppl, farming Special Trees, & distributing them to all their unassuming friends.
The closest thing we have is the cedar trees with the lights on them. Unfortunately I’m pretty sure they only look like that around Christmas though

Not quite, Nintendo will purge these if it becomes a problem, either specifically or scrap entire islands, so I doubt anyone wants them that much, pretty awesome showcase, also enjoyed the river run trick and fourth plane being shown!

Brian Fudge that would be long, confusing as hell, and promoting glitches and hacks. This also does not help the online economy at all. This method forces people to cut their prices to beat Tom Nook instead of going off of supply and demand. It makes the sellers run after buyers and the biggest reason against this is why would Nintendo want to promote hacking your game. That is literally the dumbest thing I have ever heard
I hope that they would implement the possibility of a fallen star during meteor showers or when stars fall. It would be interesting if there could be a chance that a star would fall down toward the island instead of down the one way. Also after you press the A button you would see the star fall onto a spot on your island. The villager would say hmmm I heard a crashing noise. You could then search for a rainbow shine like a money tree hole or a star fragment sticking out of the ground. These holes could be dug up and then would be rainbow instead of gold. You could then place a fragment of your choice into the hole. Although they would take a week to grow instead of the 3 days. This would be really cool. Also possibly a set day to get a meteor shower because I have played since day zero and never got a single Meteor shower since.
I haven't gotten a meteor shower at all. Not once. Rarely get shooting stars, either. My islands a star dud. But its a pretty dud.
Because of me never getting these things and no new content added I got bored quick. Like I want to collect paintings but Redd never comes and the wedding event is super boring.

@@MarinaGarrison the trees are like normal trees anc can be dig up by eating fruit, some trees like the crown tree and robothero tree have bug problems and glicth when they are shacked. The Best option its to not shacke the trees

To be honest i dont think Nintendo will relly do anything about the trees. Most people just use them for the aesthetic they are going for (i got 40 star trees yesterday since im going for a star aesthetic) People barely use them to shake them because the things on the trees CAN NOT grow back. I dont think (and really hope) that Nintendo bans people because i have these trees and i love the game.
I do wish we could just plant or craft a star fragment tree and it be more like a decoration (like the coconut tree lamp) and it be an unshakeable tree. But the rest of that is a little on the crazyside.
This video is equivalent to throwing your fishing rod in the lake and catching a tire, only to have your rod break once you put it in your pocket.
Now make ones that regrow the items as if they were fruit.
I think it would be cool if maybe on New Year’s Eve or some special day if/when Isabelle is out at the plaza, she could give you one singular sappling called a “treasure tree” you plant it like a normal tree, but when it grows fully, on it will be a mystery item ranging from star frags to some high selling fish. When you shake it a forth time, a new treasure tree sapling will fall out. You can just keep going an keep growing them.

When I was doing the duplication glitch where you duplicate items by placing them on top of each other the spot where I duplicated items made me not able to pick up anything in that vicinity. I was only able to pick stuff up there using the building mode.

I bought a tree with bugs and on my island I could pick them up in my inventory, I think its because its a nook mile island because u can place items. I could donate them to blathers but it didn't register for catching them

I’m assuming you can’t pick it up because it’s not on your island end it was immediately placed when you shook it,.. placed items on your own island can be picked up. This is pretty common knowledge though, so wasn’t sure why you were surprised

I'd love it if Nintendo implemented this somehow, maybe if they made it so items "poof" away when you shake the tree and the player is given warnings, it would be cool. Like...you could choose to plant money, or sort of "waste" your glowspot on fragments.
