I hate how they removed Redd's first visit, since it serves as a proper introduction to him and his shop. Now it's just "Redd randomly shows up with no explanation to sell you haunted art".
I was playing earlier today (on 2.0.6) and I got the brown version of the museum and the meeting redd event. It could be that this is the first save on this switch? but i don't know why it would only be available on some saves
@@angrybidoof847 In the past games, there was always some form of introduction to Redd. In ACPG, Copper would warn you to be on the lookout for a suspicious tent, while ACWW, ACCF, and ACNL had the residents tell you about Redd's shop.

We can thank Verlisify for the removal of star trees. He literally made streams of hunting people down in the dream world and reporting their islands just for having star trees. I guarantee he's the reason we don't have them anymore and it's just gross behavior to be honest. The star trees did nothing but make people's islands pretty and I'm sure if you really wanted some on your island, you could find someone to get them for you. He's a brown-nose stickler and if anybody is hacking anything, even if it's in a single player game where it really doesn't matter if you hacked your game or not, he'll tattle to Nintendo and annoy the crap out of them until they fix it so he'll shut up about it.
and then there’s me, a poor student who can’t afford to get a switch and the games so i’m using an emulator and just started playing a ton of switch games incl acnh :) he’d hate me MWAHAHAHA
yeah, i remember that. it was disgusting, i left a comment taunting him about how miserable he must be hunting down people in a single player game they paid over half a hundred bucks for.
One feature that I would LOVE to see removed is tool durability. Worst thing they put in the game. It doesn't add ANYTHING to the game and it takes what used to be extraordinarily comfy activities (catching scorpions, tarantulas) and makes it incredibly dreadful to do due to the ever-looming prospect of your shit breaking. Last thing I want to be doing is watering my flowers when my watering can breaks. How does a watering can even break?!
It’s really frustrating that they won’t add updates that people actually want. Tool durability feels pointless, why would I bother making the golden tools? The tools in previous games were really fun and I miss that certain axes could leave little pictures or nintendo references in the trunk (like the triforce). There was even a purpose to having different tools but still only the axe broke over time and the golden one didn’t. It felt like a proper system. The tools in new horizons are in their own crazy system and it’s just annoying. and crafting??? in general? the animation between each craft is a waste of time and crafting multiples is so frustrating. either let me select multiples of that craft or just craft is faster lol. Most of this game for me is waiting for tedious tasks to be done. Then I’m bored like wtf I’m not really playing animal crossing am i?
Buying multiple Nook Miles tickets is the most tedious experience in all of ACNH. Want 10? Hope you have 4 minutes to spare of menu selecting and exposition.
@@Aoki85 The whole game is basically menuing where it would've made more sense to create new interfaces. Going to others' towns is an exercise in patience and frustration as you slowly crawl through the dialogue tree to get to the option you want.
I was genuinely so annoyed when I found out even the gold tools break. At the very least that should have been a reward for how hard they are to get, and it would call back to previous games where your motivation for getting upgraded axes was the not breaking. Also gold is such a pain to find that it's not even worth it to craft them more than once.
Honestly i think they could have made star trees work, like on the night of heavy shooting stars or something instead of a gold spot make it white or a light blue, and only that night you can plant a single star tree, so it's not too over powered but it's still available
Doesn't help that the team that makes AC games are the team that makes Splatoon so, thry have all their staff working there instead of dividing themselves
Its just stupid to take away existing features that are not bugs when you will never give new updates, its just decreasing the values for what people already paid, no excuses
As far as I was aware, the reason the Museum Upgrade/Redd Visit was changed was because you could potentially lock yourself out of progress! When you get your first piece of art from Redd, if you for some reason don't donate it (sell it, gift it, or so on...), Redd doesn't return and you lock yourself out of upgrading your museum unless you know someone who can gift you a genuine piece of art to donate. Personally, I feel like they just could have fixed this by "locking" that first artwork to your inventory or something instead of changing the whole process, though :(
Villagers can actually sell you art, it's random if it's genuine though but it IS a way to free yourself from the "lock" without the aid of another player
10:00 removing an incremenral upgrade to a shop is so concerning to me, because my biggest hope for the next AC game was bringing back more robust multi-stage shop upgrades (and just having more shops within town in general). The idea that they're going in the opposite direction sucks
They are never going to return to the philosophy of the older games after the smash success of NH. Best we can hope for now is that an indie dev fills in the niche of the older games the way stardew valley did with harvest moon
@@FlareFritzFr, city folk definitely showed cool development for a shop and town area that new leaf perfected . naturally i felt as though new horizons would let us build our own version of that. nope. just one shop then a boutique, labelle doesn’t even run the shop with them anymore. kicks doesn’t have his own shop. no club LoL? i fcking loved that place, and the dream suite and a shop that rotated different and cool house exteriors. there’s no reasonable justification for them to not build upon what’s in new horizons. i really miss that slowed down theme of the main street at night as well as when timmy and tommy were closing shop. so relaxing, the music in general felt more considered in new leaf also.
in new leaf we used to have the nooklings shop with the garden sloth and gracies , the able sisters with an additional accessory shop (now she just visits occasionally), kicks (now just visits occasionally), tom nooks home renovation shop along with lyle of the HHA, the camp ground shop and the island shop along with a few more, i don’t understand why they took them all this away
I've heard other people say this but I'm 99% sure this is due to Nintendo online being a paid service now. Why would they let you upgrade your shop for free when you could pay $4 a month to visit other islands shops?
They could have just made the star trees to be purely decorative. What i mean by that is that it works like a normal tree. You dont get star fragments when shaking, but they still look pretty.
I never had one but I'm pretty sure the way they worked was that they wouldnt regrow if you did shake them off. hacks could change the object already on the trees but not the item it'll spawn. which already seems balanced enough to me, but alas!
They really should've just embraced it and let trees grow for ANY item you bury. Star tree Mario Mushroom tree Yellow Sunglasses tree Froggy Chair Tree Imagine people with islands that are just as many different item trees as possible, like a living Catalogue It honestly might've even been a great tool for making the crafting process MUCH less tedious if the items *could* be farmed
Imagine charging 60 bucks plus more for the DLC and membership for a game that’s 100% centered on customization… only to remove players’ favorite customization options

They don't have a large enough dev team for that. Splatoon & Animal Crossing share devs and they had to move on to work on Splatoon 3. Nintendo is expanding and their new development building will open in 2026 so hopefully both Splatoon & AC will have their own dedicated teams now.

Taking away features that are not glitches is inexcusable. Stuff like this is one of the many reasons why so many of us still prefer the older games to NH even with all of the new features.
I'm still heartbroken about nature day. it went through my birthday and I was so excited because I felt like Animal crossing was finally recognizing earth day- we need to petition for Nintendo to bring it back
If I recall you don't really get an introduction in the previous games either, he just shows up, spouts some hippy quotes, hands you random stuff then drifts off into the sea. I think he's just a random nomad guy.
I miss just buying a fully finished game without any updayes, adding or removing things and without DLCs. I have to say during the last couple of years I found myself gravitating towards older games without all that. There are so many great older games that I haven't played yet, so why spent money on the newest unfinished mess.
@@yosefmacgruber1920 If you mean a sideways door opposite the Roost in the lobby: it doesn't exist. There's the 4 main exhibits (with diving creatures within the fish), and the Roost. Doing everything grants you the posters. Yes the lobby will no longer be symmetrical.
Back in newleaf we had more features, sure not as much custimiazation but none the less features. One of them was minigames, both single player and multiplayer.
I cannot express how disappointed I was when Kapp’n didn’t take me to an island with multiplayer and mini games same with not having an actual coffee order and being able to work there, I was shocked that Nooks only had one upgrade, then I experienced even more disappointment realising I couldn’t play the Switch. Another feature it would be awesome is Label would move on top of her sister’s store and sell unique items like Gracie.
star trees were modified money trees iirc, which makes me even more upset they were canned because they couldve just made it so they grew when you buried a star fragment in a money hole. or they couldve been kapp'n-exclusive trees you only find on nighttime islands! there were such good possibilities but nope. i never got one myself (didnt really play back when they were big) but im sad theyre gone :^(
Either people think Amiibo unlocks are too broken and it’s not fair that Amiibo owners get good stuff for owning an Amiibo, or Amiibo unlocks are pointless and don’t do anything for the game at all. Like it’s supposed to be a special bonus for having it, not a requirement.
The star fragment trees worked because the star fragments are stored alongside the fruit in the game's data. Each fruit tree has a value that corresponds to the type of fruit on it. Someone with a modded switch could take a peach tree for example and change the value that corresponded with the peaches to the one that corresponded to the star fragments. It was more than likely just an oversight rather than something Nintendo ever planned to use.
I just restarted on my second Switch. The museum was fully upgraded immediately, but I still got to meet Redd. He was wandering about and introduced himself. So that part is still in the game.
How exactly would keeping the tent permanently work anyway? I mean, you just give stuff to Blathers to display and they just...never get displayed anywhere?
You just don't donate the 15 items to Blathers. I've kept the tent on a few of my islands because the aesthetic worked better. Still hit 5 stars without upgrading it :)
There are island themes where a full museum does not make sense, hence keeping Blathers in his tent. I did a Viking-themed island where I built a Viking settlement. Blathers stayed in his tent because it would not have looked right to upgrade to the full museum. It doesn't impact your ability to get 3 or 5 stars, so people can do whatever they want to do!
@@yosefmacgruber1920 And that's the joy of the game: people can play it however they want. You prefer modernity/sci-fi? That's great! Other people prefer minimalism? That's also great! I don't get the discourse of removing features in efforts to moderate resources. After a certain point you have an overflow of Nook Miles anyway and the hybrid flower gatekeeping is redundant. I was a launch player and NEVER came across the hybrid flower island anyway so it does show how rare it was at least to me let alone you are limited to what you can carry off of it. Previous versions of this game feel like a fever dream at this point because of the nature of playing it during the pandemic.
Ohhhh maybe that's how I got their posters. I was confused when he acted like amiibo was the only way to get posters. I get for the special ones but I'm like "just swap out more villagers."
How do you take a villager to Harvs island? I know how to get them to the Vaca home island (can't think of the name, lol), the documentation. But all this time I didn't know you also invite them to Harvs... thanx
I just started a new island- Redd still shows up by walking around and you do get introduced to him the same way as far as I know! The museum is just automatically upgraded.
Hi crossing channel dont know if you know this bbut: my friend had jambette (the botox frog) on her island and she left. I never knew she had jambette. Jambette came to my island. After she moved in my friend came and said that jambette was on her old island. She talked to jambette and guess what: Jambette recognised her. I talked to jambette a few days ago and she said that she remembers when she-was on my friends island and literally said the name of her island.
Yeah if you get a villager from a friends queue or adopt directly from their island they will remember your friend as long as it's their same account from that villager! Been a thing since the start I love it
Lol this happened in Wild World when I was a kid, Mitzi was mine and my best friend's favorite villager. I remember my friend being so smug when Mitzi left my town to go live in hers, I was genuinely so upset 😂
I remember Nature Day! They gave me the task of relocating a tree, and I had to look up how to do it because it's something they covered on the first day and I wasn't paying enough attention.
It's so weird seeing a video like this pop up. I pre-ordered New Horizons and took a week and a half off work to play it. I poured my heart into Population Growing and City Folk, while New Leaf blew my mind. Spent years with each one. In terms of visuals, it's stunning. A lot of things just felt wrong though, lots of important aspects and content saw cuts and I wasn't impressed by the soundtrack- why is the iconic 24-hour music system locked behind a time sink? The online community was the worst it's ever been thanks in no small part to streamer culture, though the Nook mile system effectively being the tired old mobile gaming "daily rewards" function didn't help. The fact I saw multiple serious petitions to brand time-travelers with a permanent badge of shame is disgusting. I work 12.5 hour days, 40-60+ hour weeks in a warehouse and I should be able to time travel if I want. I literally could not buy turnips without time traveling. I spent less than two months with it then dropped it forever. I walked away heart-broken and it doesn't seem like it ever improved after I left.
If the game isn't getting updated, I wonder if fans could mod the removed content back in? It would be cool that, even if nintendo pulls it plug, fans can still give updates years later.
People are def modding the game, I've seen it all over Pinterest, but you have to be careful because modding your Switch nulls the user agreement and can actually lock you out of your Switch entirely ;;
The only "paylocked" posters are of the NPC characters. If you bring your current villagers to take photos on Harvey's island, it will register their poster in your catalogue. So there's a way without amiibos to get posters of regular villagers.
When they removed the 4th tier decorating, it honestly ruined one of my islands at the time. Everything I had built and decorated was dependent on the stuff I did on the 4th level to look good. I can understand removing the ability to decorate up there but I still don't understand why they had to remove everything that was already placed there. It kinda ruined the 2.0 update for me and I ended up just deleting that island
14:47 if you want one (ONLY DO ONE FOR A 5 STAR ISLAND) use a normal hardwood tree (not a fruit one or a cedar tree) put 3 of the same star fragments where fruit would fall on fruit trees to make it look like fallen fragments
So i recently reset my island, Once you unlock the museum unlocking redd's art stuff was the same as before. Just that the art gallery is automatically unlocked but you still have to first find him walking around before the boat.
New Horizons is my first real animal crossing game, and honestly I like this game. There are some things I do wish they would add, especially for people who don’t really play online. I know the point is to connect via online, but as someone with crappy internet, it’s hard for me to feel like I can do that without the internet disconnecting out of nowhere. But without the internet connection, the game is still fun for me and I still do my island every day whenever I get a chance at home. I just really wish that there was a way to get recipes for certain themes without an internet connection.
unfortunately it isn't enough for nintendo that you dropped 60 or 70 dollars on the game. they need to upsell you on their online services too, something i knew would happen as soon as i found out that Nintendo online would be a paid service on the switch. i think nintendo games that do have online features are always going to cater to online players first, because they need to convince them the online is worth it and keep paying for it.
I started after the flower islands were removed, and I can't afford Nintendo Online... literally the only way for me to get anything is what the base game provides. (I don't have HHP, either. Can't afford it.)

The star trees weren't necessarily a planned or cut feature, just an unintentional quirk with how the trees are programmed that hackers took advantage of. It's been 4 years since I messed with it, so I might be a little off with how it works, but iirc, all of the non pine/palm trees are actually the same exact type of tree in the game's data. And they just use a variable to determine their state (growing, empty, holding a beehive/leaf/coin, fruit tree, or a money tree holding 3 money bags) Regular fruit trees just have a second variable to determine what type of fruit they are. But money trees use their second variable to state the exact item ID of what they are holding. Normally, only ID's for bell bags are used, but the trees fully support holding and displaying any item ID in the game that has a drop model. So you could hack them to be a star tree, a fish tree, a leaf tree, a clothes tree, a tree tree, etc. Some people messed around with the other types of trees, but star trees were the only ones that really spread since they were so pretty. After the star trees gained a ton of notoriety, Nintendo added a check in one of the next updates that runs at the start of every new day. The check looks for any planted money trees in the town that have an item ID that isn't a bell bag and replaces it with an empty tree instead. You can technically still have star trees in your town, but they will always be replaced the next day you play the game if you leave them.
Don't know if anyone mentioned this, but you can get access to posters from bringing villagers to Harv's island. So if a villager lives on your island you can gain to access to the poster for free(like the portraits)

"It would be a bit of a job" in context to adding in more fun amiibo interactions, they are a multi million dollar company who charged for DLC and online memberships. They could have *easily* added in more interactions. They half arsed a lot of aspects of ACNH and its such a disappointing thing.
it would be cool if in the next game, there was a "research tent" - for identifying stuff; and then a Museum to display them, if you want. It seems tedious to separate them, but so is life; hence the real-time clock in Animal Crossing. I don't think AC should just be a game to "get the best house upgrade, with the best furniture in the optimal layout"
I started playing like a year and a half ago, so there’s so many things I didn’t know in here. Also 12pm music for the win. I can hear it in the background
A simple workaround to cutting out Redd could've been letting us meet trade/opportunity NPCs organically, or meeting Redd the original way, then guiding them to Harv's Island if they're looking for a hub or camp spot. I feel like one of the lovable parts of previous Animal Crossing games was unlocking more of your world or upgrading existing parts (adding bridges or unlocking a fountain or assisting Tom in upgrading the shop).

I think the fencing-block on the docks is because they’re similar to the rocks where the wharf roaches spawn in some way. When they realized people were “farming” bugs then they removed the fence building feature for those rocks. I know nothing would spawn on the dock, but I imagine it’s because they are connected in a way on the backside
yes, he said it's not a bug but in my opinion it certainly seems like an oversight. i don't think it was an intentionally removed customization option for docks specifically, it seemed to me that it was likely they changed or fixed something else that caused fences on docks to no longer be possible.
Started a new save a couple of weeks ago. The brown museum stage was skipped, but I DID see Redd wandering around, I spoke to him and he took me to his boat. That event is still in the game.
I have SO many ideas that I wish animal crossing could add! 1. You should be able to stack your fossils(assessed & un-assessed) on top of each other while they’re in your pocket/s.(as long as they’re the same fossil) 2. You should be able to store your flowers in your storage shed. 3. When you go to checkout your visitors, when/if you talk to them, you should be able to ask that visitors to stay more than one day. 3 days at max(cause you never know when a villager is gonna ask to leave). 4. Needs unlimited storage. 5. Needs unlimited wallet space. 6. Your nook phone needs an app where you can sell the items you don’t want anymore to the Nook Shop through your nook phone. 7. Needs to show your tress on your map. 8. Needs A balloon tracker/or location tracking on your nook phone. 9. You should be able to save the favorite outfits that you’ve put together when you open a cooler or whatever else to change your outfit. 10. Your campsite villagers should be able to stay more than one day. I might come up with more!🤗

if you make an island and get to the museum while offline on a switch without letting the game patch you can still get it. Same with some of the other stuff the Fun Police (Nintendo) nerfed or removed. You just can't patch your game or go online and you need a original cart from launch
They removed the cataloguing posters JUST as I finished my collection. I luckily had a second house on the island where I stored a copy of each poster but ouch for the partners I was doing the project with who just catalogued them to buy as needed!
For the poster catalogue that's so sad that the major characters are paywalled now :( But the villagers technically aren't, as a poster is also registered if you take a photo of the islsnder at photopia. The Redd issue is because if you for whatever reason never run into him on your island, but meet him before at Harve's island, it'll create a bug that doesn't trigger the next upgrade of the museum.

It could have been the same as the money tress, only having one harvest then becoming a regular tree afterwards.

Personally, I feel like they just could have fixed this by "locking" that first artwork to your inventory or something instead of changing the whole process, though :(
That just tells me they really weren't thinking clearly in the programming stage.

New Leaf had the best shop system imo. It felt so satisfying to talk into T&T shop and they tell you they're closing down for renovations
They are never going to return to the philosophy of the older games after the smash success of NH. Best we can hope for now is that an indie dev fills in the niche of the older games the way stardew valley did with harvest moon

Nintendo: "NO. You will have fun how we tell tell you to have fun."
I never had one but I'm pretty sure the way they worked was that they wouldnt regrow if you did shake them off. hacks could change the object already on the trees but not the item it'll spawn. which already seems balanced enough to me, but alas!
They worked a lot like money trees it seemed, where they would become normal trees when shooken. A lil sad that they removed em

Either people think Amiibo unlocks are too broken and it’s not fair that Amiibo owners get good stuff for owning an Amiibo, or Amiibo unlocks are pointless and don’t do anything for the game at all. Like it’s supposed to be a special bonus for having it, not a requirement.
I think it's reasonable that they should never be required for 100% Completion.
And they just use a variable to determine their state (growing, empty, holding a beehive/leaf/coin, fruit tree, or a money tree holding 3 money bags)
Regular fruit trees just have a second variable to determine what type of fruit they are.
10:39 you can keep the tent to continue the story and upgrade the RS. You don’t need the museum to get 3 stars

9:15 I made a new island in September and about a week later Redd showed up with his boat, so this definitely still happens

@@Sugary-Stardust whoever owned it previously must've not played acnh, and then when I got it I didn't connect it to the internet before I started playing. as soon as I connected it to the internet it prompted me to update it tho
I miss the star trees! The amount of people upset by them was crazy!
Bob's Gang! I recently came back to ACNH after a while and I did not know that the hybrid flower islands weren't a thing anymore. That's really a shame :(
the log fences still work on the dock actually! its not technically a fence and is a regular decoration item but it certainly works well
You can catalog villager posters by going to Harv’s island and going into the photo studio, invite your villagers in for a photo shoot (make sure to take a photo) then their poster will be available to buy when you get back to your island
What?? They removed hybrid flower islands? I only played in 2020 but i grinded for those islands. They're like one of the only things i still remember from those island trips
To be honest, I prefer the villager photos over the posters. I don't even understand the purpose of the posters.
Posters are WAY easier to get, they don't require friendship and luck. (I prefer the photos too.)
@@Sugary-Stardust once you get the rhythm down, getting the photos are easy. I have 131 photos. Was going to try to get them all but I haven’t had time to play in a while.
a correction for crossing channel redd still shows up and walks around our islands on newer saves
I really have no doubts that this is the worst animal crossing game, remove features after release!? Ive never see this in any game
I JUST restarted my island and I still got Redd visiting my island, and he gives you the intro dialogue. Im not sure if his boat was already at the island, but I did run into him on my island first
You can invite the special characters to the happy home and make them a home I have done it with Celeste and grandma kappin
I never got to play Nature Day. I got ACNH and a switch in general Xmas 2020
i started playing in june 2020, i had no idea "nature day" was even a thing that existed
I actually got red to walk around my inland when I got him 2 days ago!
I restarted after 4 years and I was so confused, I was like I’m sure the art gallery wasn’t there at the beginning? And was also able to get some tool recipes earlier than I remember too?
I completely forgot about the Nature Day event! Jeez, it's been so long...
I know they added a filter for what your vilagers could call you at some point... unlucky for them I already had most of my dreamies before then. When someone visits my island I tell them not to talk to the villagers because of what their catchphrases are LMAO
They kinda got rid of the original tutorial and there's just a different and easier tutorial
How
@@JoshyYoshi4 I remember that in the original tutorial for the 3 houses you needed to get materials then all the furniture, also the houses you can build were an obligatory thing, this was probably very early and i kinda remember it like that.
@tiktokki._. what i meant is that you needed to get the materials to build the actual house not the furniture, also the other houses i really don't remember exactly but i remember having to build the other houses to get the "K.K operation"
Somehow I still have two of my trees planted on a concrete pathway - they never disappeared after the patch
I still have my fruit trees on the dirt paths too. i didn't even know that got patched out, or does it only not work on stone anymore?
My spouse and I both recently started new islands on the 2.0 update, and while we didn’t get the brown museum, we both got the Redd event where he’s walking around the island and you first meet him, as well as the broadcast where Isabelle warns everyone not to trust him. So I don’t think the info at 9:13 is accurate.
18:25 I had trees, flowers and shrubs on a brick path when 2.0 dropped. They stayed on the bricks like when I planted them and I could dig them up but not place them again. Sorry if this is posted earlier 🤷♀️
I don't understand why they patched out the fourth level. That and the star trees were missed opportunities
Maybe the 4th level put too much stress on the game or wasn't what they intended.
Bob's Crew! Aw man, I played after the updates so I missed out on the hybrid flower islands. It felt like it took forever to get my blue roses so it would've been nice to already have had the orange and purple roses.
Also, I need to find someone who has pears on their island. I don't know whose idea it was to need access to a third person's island to collect all 6 fruits. I've unlocked my fifth fruit back in April of 2022.
if you make an island and get to the museum while offline on a switch without letting the game patch you can still get it.
Same with some of the other stuff the Fun Police (Nintendo) nerfed or removed. You just can't patch your game or go online and you need a original cart from launch
Hi fairly new player of ACNH, I'm sad I won't be able to experience those things that are gone, it kind sucks. 😢💔
we're in the same boat :(
You also get posters of all the animals that live on your island.
I haven't played animal crossing new horizons for a very long time until yesterday.
They removed the cataloguing posters JUST as I finished my collection. I luckily had a second house on the island where I stored a copy of each poster but ouch for the partners I was doing the project with who just catalogued them to buy as needed!
My path trees just stayed where they are. I specifically made 2 trees on my paths lining a garden.
As long as you don’t change it yourself the trees can stay on the paths, I still have it on my island
For the poster catalogue that's so sad that the major characters are paywalled now :( But the villagers technically aren't, as a poster is also registered if you take a photo of the islsnder at photopia. So I consider my poster collection a sort of Guest Book for everyone who has passed through my island over the years :)
maybe they removed the amiibo thingy in favor of the roost invites.
If u want posters of the villagers that are on ur island then u can take a picture of them on harve's island and then the poster is available.
you're telling me i would never be able of find a hybrid island anymore neither with the boat islands or the airplane islands? that's sad bro...i no want to waste lot of watering cans for make my own hybrids :(
I haven’t seen the ‘tarantula islands’ for so long… they did remove those, didn’t they? Like with the hybrid flower islands?
The Redd issue is because if you for whatever reason never run into him on your island, but meet him before at Harve's island, it'll create a bug that doesn't trigger the next upgrade of the museum.
I love learning more lore about a game I'm relatively new to! I started with ACNH in 2022 and have really loved it, despite most people no longer playing by the time I got into it which takes away a lot of the game play elements of visiting islands and having visitors, I still found a lot of fun in just building my island and exploring for new residents.
