Protip for the gold watering can and other stuff: customizing equipment resets the durability so just change the can's color each day to ensure it stays fresh.

Nook's Cranny doesn't sell any other flowers than the three native to your island. Since 1.2 update, Leif now sells flower seeds at random which by chance you will be able to get exotic flowers and shrub starts (seasonal and random).
You don't have to make your town looks nice. just literally place whatever isabelle tells you to on the ground until she says something else then rinse and repeat. I have a 5 star town and gold flowers now with 60 tissue boxes on the ground and a unusable fence maze.
Thought the same about the master sword in Zelda Breath of the wild. I hoped that the horror of broken tools and swords would stop there. But noooooooooo~

I just wish two different Nintendo accounts could have there own island. My finance got this for us to play but since he started before me I feel like I’m missing out on some things like I can’t really progress in the game as much since I didn’t start the island, I can’t upgrade buildings besides my house or build villager houses.

My partner joined my town too but would have rather built his own with seperate villagers and shape. But speaking of giving secondary characters money, if you use the call resident app and play that way, you can shake the joycon and then press a button to switch to the other character as the leader. From there they can pick up items too (including money), it's way faster than logging in as the other player. I have 2 alt accounts in my town that I switch to for clean up instead of sending it to the recycling can haha

Hey just a head up, but it seems the selection of flowers changes sometimes (I think monthly). I went from having windflowers tulips and lilies to windflowers roses and pansies
Well I always had Rose's and tulips and at first when I started the game the resident services had hyacinths and when nooks cranny opened hyacinths were replaced with pansies
And one person said that the shops replaces one flower to buy with another per month so yeah but the native flowers thing is kinda stupid like fruits is understandable but native flowers makes no sense

Tee Jay he doesn’t really have everything . Lots of the stuff you need nook miles to pay , also at the time of this video he only had 3 star island . But had the golden can so he got hooked up . Also he duplicated crowns . So he’s got unlimited bells . Along with time traveling . You’d think his island would be more along the lines like austinjohnplays . Or other guys . I will lose interest in a game I have to wait so long to progress in. That is how I like to play. There is no in-game economy to crash, there is no consequence to anyone who plays normally if i decide to move faster. It's just a different play style.
May be harder but still doable. Just use nook miles tickets to travel and collect things that arent native to you. It takes a long time but it's possible.
Got it three days ago and im completely hooked, ive seen so many guides of people saying u have to play for a certain day to get this or that and here i am getting the stuff they said i needed four more days for on the third day, literally got the ladder so fast and someone was saying i needed to play for atleast five days and i was like🤪

I have had my non native flowers offered in the cabinet. I search and searched for hyacinth pants and finally the weed man came and he had some and then like the next day Timmy/Tommy had them too. Maybe that is why idk. But luckily I now have all of them. Yay.

I would say anyone with gold roses, the robot hero, full sections of the museum, and/or a rock garden on their island is a MASSIVE flex. I’m working on a rock garden and it’s working so far, but I dont have any gold roses, robot hero, or a full section of the museum complete yet(I do only need 1 more fossil for that section though)
Has anyone confirmed yet that you can eventually find all flowers on the random nook miles islands? I have heard some say that without trading, you are locked to 4 plant types or so: what ever is on your island/store + one extra type that will spawn on the nook islands as a rare island. This is not counting gifts from villagers, of course.
i'm not sure, i've visited plenty of islands and my main flowers are tulips and pansies with the occasional wildflower. once i found an entire island full of hybrid tulips but i haven't found a 4th type of flower
You can time travel and it changes your flowers in the shop usually every month or every other month. In January my shop sold windflowers and by march they were gone.
I hate to be a bummer or rude but, this might not work. When I got to my island in animal crossing (before I got a Nintendo switch online membership) after a week or so, there was already a gold rose. Keep in mind that the flowers that are native to me are hyacinths,mums, and Windflowers. I couldn’t buy or purchase any roses because I din’t have any shops yet. Then a few days later, I saw black roses. And now to this day WITHOUT any gold materials, I have around four gold roses. I’m not trying to brag or anything I’m just trying to let you guys know that you don’t have to necessarily be in contact with a gold watering can because I was doing it all with nothing. :D
I find the wording when he mentions 'people like to go through the natural flow of time, which is perfectly fine' a bit amusing just cause the 'custom method' he is doing is the one that normally gets the 'perfectly fine' remark, not the 'normal way to play the game' method. Hey guys, quick question here. Say I do get a black rose hybrid, do I need to use golden watering can on it while it is still budding, or do I only need to use golden watering can on it AFTER it is fully grown. This is important because I’m trying to minimise usage of golden watering can as I can’t craft it yet and have to rely on other people to craft for me. Thanks for reading
In case some people aren't aware, I think you're actually able to access 4 types of flowers naturally instead of just 3. On my island, I can buy seeds for windflowers, pansies, hyacinths, and tulips, but these seeds aren't always available on the same day.

Pro tip: you can break 100 flimsy or normal watering cans in order to get a golden watering can recipe. You will know when you went over 100 watering cans when it says that you have an idea.
That's more like for axes. The GWC can only be obtained as a DIY recipe from Isabelle when your island reaches 5 star rating. I know, I just got mine to 5 stars and got the golden watering can.
@abdallah quick feedback : It takes WAY to long for you to clearly get to the point of the TITLE of your vid. Explaining what you need to do to get roses or how to breed different colors. This could be on a separate video all together. This pushes me to find how to breed golden roses on other channels. Cheers

Lol I had a meteor shower on my island, so I opened my gates and posted my code. Left my island open all night lol, when I woke up I was surrounded by bells, DIY'S, and cool items. Later in the day I had all these bad ass gold roses growing. Glad I know why... but this game has a friendly and honest community.
Austin plays says you can't just use any rose. You have to get green star roses to unlock the black roses with green star level which then need to be watered by a golden watering can directly in front of you. So the black roses on the side that you are watering will never get a change to grow gold flower. Only the ones that were directly in front of you when you watered have that chance
This is a neat little tutorial. :3 But wan't into hearing you tell people how they should start charging people highly, for gold watering cans. People can play the game however they want, the same way you can time travel if you want. Some people may want to charge a lot and some people may just give it out for free.
I can't try this yet as I don't have access to golden tools but I've seen from a lot of videos that the only black rose that can produce a golden rose is the one right in front of you when watering and, if I remember correctly, once you've watered a black rose with a golden watering can you don't have to do it ever again, you could water it with a normal watering can. That means you could water the black roses one by one with the golden watering can one day and then proceed to water them with a normal one afterwards.
1:30 The three native flowers rotate in the shop My native flowers were Mums, Windflowers, and Hyacinths. After the 3rd Week of March, my Nook Shop started selling Tulips instead of mums. Now, in the first week of April, I can buy Tulips on some days instead of Windflowers. I was able to even buy White and Yellow roses instead of Hyacinths on 2 days.
As soon as you have hybrids they start appearing. They're by fair not rare on my island anymore either, so when he said that I was looking for this comment lol.
Your store can give more than just 3 types of flowers, while some are more common you can get others including roses if you check back daily even if you did not see them there originaly
Peacock butterflies spawn like crazy, especially during 5-6pm on my island so they aren't too rare, but it was fun selling a bajillion of them to Flick 😂 I don't even have black flowers yet. they won't spread, you can only get gold roses from black roses watered by a golden can, you can't mate gold roses to produce more gold roses..... that's how it was in past games anyways.

Its kinda ironic i NEED Black Roses... i named my Island after 1 of my Favorite Volbeat songs... BLACK ROSE! SO.... Therefore it is only fittin that Black Rose Island should be covered in black Roses. Cheers for this vid.
To get straight to the point. You need to have enough black roses and keep watering them every day with the golden watering can. There is a low chance you will get Gold Roses but most of the time it would be Black roses, which makes it hard. Also if you put 2 gold roses next to each other they won't grow another one. Only the black roses can make gold ones so make sure you water them every day and of course have your friends over to water it so that way the chances of a gold rose increases. Again it may not work because I ended up getting 3 black roses and 1 gold rose. Hope this clears up the confusion.

I've played acnh for one week and have a friend who gave me gold tools diy and gold nuggets and 2 black roses and i grew a gold rose today!
Sadly, you need to water every black rose individually by facing it with the gold watering can or else gold roses won't spawn as frequently.

I have had my non native flowers offered in the cabinet. I search and searched for hyacinth pants and finally the weed man came and he had some and then like the next day Timmy/Tommy had them too. Maybe that is why idk. But luckily I now have all of them. Yay.

I would say anyone with gold roses, the robot hero, full sections of the museum, and/or a rock garden on their island is a MASSIVE flex. I’m working on a rock garden and it’s working so far, but I dont have any gold roses, robot hero, or a full section of the museum complete yet(I do only need 1 more fossil for that section though)
Has anyone confirmed yet that you can eventually find all flowers on the random nook miles islands? I have heard some say that without trading, you are locked to 4 plant types or so: what ever is on your island/store + one extra type that will spawn on the nook islands as a rare island. This is not counting gifts from villagers, of course.
i'm not sure, i've visited plenty of islands and my main flowers are tulips and pansies with the occasional wildflower. once i found an entire island full of hybrid tulips but i haven't found a 4th type of flower
I’ve only seen islands with my native flower (Windflower) and lilies which I could buy at the beginning in the shop.

UPDATE: Instead of visiting friemds and stuff, Leif may come to your town and sell foreign flowers including roses.
You can time travel and it changes your flowers in the shop usually every month or every other month. In January my shop sold windflowers and by march they were gone.
Well its gonna be a billion years before I get some of these, which is a shame cos it would look cool having a golden flower patch outside my house
Golden flowers are the fruits of your labor. There’s no shame in patience and work.
I hate to be a bummer or rude but, this might not work. When I got to my island in animal crossing (before I got a Nintendo switch online membership) after a week or so, there was already a gold rose. Keep in mind that the flowers that are native to me are hyacinths,mums, and Windflowers. I couldn’t buy or purchase any roses because I din’t have any shops yet. Then a few days later, I saw black roses. And now to this day WITHOUT any gold materials, I have around four gold roses. I’m not trying to brag or anything I’m just trying to let you guys know that you don’t have to necessarily be in contact with a gold watering can because I was doing it all with nothing. :D

They made it easier!! In a new leaf you had to get the gold watering can and water a “wilting” black rose which was way harder to get

Say I do get a black rose hybrid, do I need to use golden watering can on it while it is still budding, or do I only need to use golden watering can on it AFTER it is fully grown. In case some people aren't aware, I think you're actually able to access 4 types of flowers naturally instead of just 3. On my island, I can buy seeds for windflowers, pansies, hyacinths, and tulips, but these seeds aren't always available on the same day.

Pro tip: you can break 100 flimsy or normal watering cans in order to get a golden watering can recipe. You will know when you went over 100 watering cans when it says that you have an idea.
That's more like for axes. The GWC can only be obtained as a DIY recipe from Isabelle when your island reaches 5 star rating. I know, I just got mine to 5 stars and got the golden watering can.

It takes WAY to long for you to clearly get to the point of the TITLE of your vid. Explaining what you need to do to get roses or how to breed different colors. This could be on a separate video all together. This pushes me to find how to breed golden roses on other channels.

Lol I had a meteor shower on my island, so I opened my gates and posted my code. Left my island open all night lol, when I woke up I was surrounded by bells, DIY'S, and cool items. Later in the day I had all these bad ass gold roses growing. Glad I know why... but this game has a friendly and honest community.

Austin plays says you can't just use any rose. You have to get green star roses to unlock the black roses with green star level which then need to be watered by a golden watering can directly in front of you. So the black roses on the side that you are watering will never get a change to grow gold flower. Only the ones that were directly in front of you when you watered have that chance

But wan't into hearing you tell people how they should start charging people highly, for gold watering cans. People can play the game however they want, the same way you can time travel if you want. Some people may want to charge a lot and some people may just give it out for free.
Again, to each their own. Throwing a bit more value as a suggestion doesn't hurt anyone.
I can't try this yet as I don't have access to golden tools but I've seen from a lot of videos that the only black rose that can produce a golden rose is the one right in front of you when watering and, if I remember correctly, once you've watered a black rose with a golden watering can you don't have to do it ever again, you could water it with a normal watering can. That means you could water the black roses one by one with the golden watering can one day and then proceed to water them with a normal one afterwards.

My native flowers were Mums, Windflowers, and Hyacinths.
After the 3rd Week of March, my Nook Shop started selling Tulips instead of mums.
Now, in the first week of April, I can buy Tulips on some days instead of Windflowers.
I was able to even buy White and Yellow roses instead of Hyacinths on 2 days.

Your store can give more than just 3 types of flowers, while some are more common you can get others including roses if you check back daily even if you did not see them there originaly

they won't spread, you can only get gold roses from black roses watered by a golden can, you can't mate gold roses to produce more gold roses..... that's how it was in past games anyways.

To get straight to the point. You need to have enough black roses and keep watering them every day with the golden watering can. There is a low chance you will get Gold Roses but most of the time it would be Black roses, which makes it hard. Also if you put 2 gold roses next to each other they won't grow another one. Only the black roses can make gold ones so make sure you water them every day and of course have your friends over to water it so that way the chances of a gold rose increases. Again it may not work because I ended up getting 3 black roses and 1 gold rose. Hope this clears up the confusion.
