I'm still sad that they didn't continue this form all the way up to the Goku Black arc. There would've been so much build-up to SSGSS
Oh yeah SSB should’ve shown up in the U6 arc. Idk why they made SSB come out so soon on the ROF arc. I guess it was done for the hot marketing behind both forms so that way they can sell as much merchandise as possible

@SSJ BeCrispTho bro Ssb is just ssj with blue hair. That’s it. They though that it would be unique with god ki and god sense and what not, but it’s really just a recolor of super says in. I think super should have adapted some type of form related to ssj4 because ssj4 appreciates the sayain heritage and shows the power goku race. It was perfect since goku was always portrayed to be like a monkey type character and his character is literaly inspired by a god monkey so why not make his final form similar to ssj4? Ssb seems like they just pulled it out of nowhere.
who agrees that SSG should be shitting on everyone since he's a literal GOD. now they made it weak. I think Zamasu should pushed vegeta and goku to SS Blue and during the TOP Goku beats Jirren using UI, and then after than Grand Priest seems potential in Goku and trains him making him achieve Mastered Ultra Instinct and then it transfers into the Moro arc. Something like that :) idk Im not a geek about dbs, im just a casual watcher
Agreed, it was supposed to be the form that rivaled beerus and in the goku black since he’s a Kai and has god ki already at the point in time he unlocks ssj rose he unlock ssg(but his version would have rose hair ) SSB should’ve been the form to finally surpass him, goku unlocks it just like he unlocked ultra instinct and he fights Jiren and wins

I like the color blue more, so... SSJ Blue for me, all the way.
However...
SSJ God had a way better reveal & design in it's movie. The way it made Goku slimmer & taller, & the emphasis on the transformation and everything...
When they introduced Blue, there was _zero_ fanfare to it, and even in the film it looked more like a recolor than a change in form [I think SSGSS should be tall & slim like SSG, but more toned]. Then when it came to the show, they just popped into it constantly.
It wasn't until Broly that I feel Blue was given the introduction it deserved.
I think it's criminal how quickly they pushed SSG aside for SSB. Also made it harder to understand the scaling differences between them

That’s what I’m saying. Super saiyan god should have been used in place of SSB up until the u6 v u7 arc. So instead of powering up to blue kioken it would have just been god to blue.

@@picassojulien899 I do like the idea of goku black going SSG fighting on par with goku and/or vegeta then beating them after going SSR which would prompt goku and vegeta attaining SSB. Just an idea I think is cool narratively.
You should read the manga. It handled this transformation much better than the anime. SSB got more mileage there as well. Honestly, up until this recent chapter, there are no real ass pull transformations like SS Rage or Vegeta's SSB beyond.
I gotta say, Super Saiyan God is my favorite DBZ transformation. His abilities, his hair, and his aura looks dope🔥.

Like imagine them learning techniques that only the Gods can master. Just like the Hakai. Heck imagine them having elemental type attacks.

Saiyan Beyond god will probably wouldn't never happen.
It's not that hard to understand. Basically, Goku (and likely Vegeta) are capable of channeling a portion of god ki without fully changing into the form, much like Super Saiyan Power. Then Bamco wanted to sell extra arcade cards by giving the technique a name. Then the idea got lost under all the other forms and techniques they wanted to push.
Super Saiyan God is one of my favorite transformations due to how unique it looks and the flaming aura.

I also believe that self healing for SSG is what makes it unique to SSB! Sure SSG is not as powerful but it can heal the body! I would love to see the mastery of all forms SSG, SSB and UI to be the ultimate battle!

They overused SSB to much that's why most people do not like it.
I mean, after Goku achieved Blue, God was more so used for stamina purposes, at least Goku did it use strategically in some moments of ToP, it was some variety

Kaio-Ken Blue was kinda cool. But yeah, outside of that, SSjB was pretty lazy and seriously overused.
The concept is sound. Especially since his hair normal Saiyan hair in God.
And because it was use like a base form goku fights krillin using blue it makes the form feels weak

Initial SSBlue, Advanced SSBlue, Perfected SSBlue, Mastered SSBlue (the state Vegeta uses in the Manga) and SSBlue (anime version)
Tf, only variants of Blue in the Manga is:
Initial Blue: Goku and Vegeta learn in RoF.
Perfected/Mastered Blue: Goku learns against Merged Zamasu and Vegeta uses against Beerus in the Manga.
Perfected/Mastered Blue Evolution: What Vegeta uses in the Manga against Jiren, and Moro.

Big facts
Thats one of my favorite aspects about Goku and probably the saiyans in general, is that fact that when they achieve a new form, their body remembers it making it easier to train to that level and build upon it.
Goku gets comparisons to Superman enough as it is. (Looking at Dragon Ball Minus) Adding a Cape for the Super Saiyan God Transformation would only add to the comparison.
Even Namek was taken from Superman lore. Nam-Ek is a kryptonian soldier working under Zod
I would’ve liked to see Ultra instinct be the “Ascended” form of gods, from the Ki of a God to godly fighting ability.

What I like about the form especially is the eyes- they're wide with arches unlike the usual Super Saiyan and blue that are much more narrow. Additionally, they possess visible pupils, which makes Goku who is normally pupil-less except in Super Saiyan 3, get closer and closer to have realistic eyes, which is very uncanny valley. Ultra Instinct pushes this even further.

For the longest time SSJ2 was my favorite form, but man when I seen this it immediately took the top spot. I loved how God was a complete departure from the same old deal with super saiyan. They get buffer and their hair gets bigger. God just completely took me by surprise cause I was lucky enough to not see the leaked images and I loved it from the get.
Honestly like the UI look as well TBH and SSJ4 is badass too

I kinda like how Goten refers to Super Saiyan God in the dub he calls it "Super Saiyan Red" after Super Saiyan Blue. Just a thing I like to call it after a while
The ability to heal has been very confusing with this transformation. It's confusing as to why Goku & Vegeta still use/rely on senzu beans, during/after battle.
@@jasonone8726 it wasn’t in the movie it was in the anime. And the only other time this ability was shown was in the gold black arc when goku black stabbed through zamasu to stab goku. Once he told goku how he killed his wife and son he powered up and healed the hole that should’ve been in him
My guess is when their to low on energy they can't self heal and in the BOG arc it was a ritual with a time limit. So he almost had unlimited energy so the god power healed him but that's just a theory.

I always hated that “form” or “state” since the writers clearly never planned to keep that in continuity consistently.
I like the concept if the would’ve never use ssjg anymore and just say the can use their god power in base and transform in to blue. And leave red just for the ritual.

This series is always moving the power ceiling. Seeing people argue about power scaling and if so-and-so is stronger than so-and-so makes for a good chuckle.

How does Saiyan God imply that there's no transformation?
Been waiting for this. BTW ppl say UI isn’t a transformation but I say, it’s only NOT a transformation if you are already a God. Otherwise for Goku how is it different than SSG? Different hair and eye color. Both transformations for non-gods.
I don't agree with people who say it isn't a transformation, considering it transforms Goku just like Super Saiyan God. Different aura, hair and eye colour. It's a transformation if your a mortal like Goku. However if you're a God, a natural deity like Beerus or Whis. It then becomes a technique without the flashy look.
But if you call UI Omen or MUI a transformation, then what about kaioken? That has a aura but thats not called a transformation
HL Dixon kaioken is aura only. Omen changes your hair and eyes.

I think that 'God ki' is just higher quality ki, like legendary super Saiyan was a higher quality saiyan/transformation which simply outclasses normal saiyans in sheer quality. I just simply think that it's built different fr. It's simply better ki than normal one.
It's definitely a higher quality Ki but it's so much higher that it's in its own class of Ki type.
@@drnebulae7578 yea it's probably like wielding titanium and steel swords. Titanium sword will me stronger and sharper while being lighter thus causing less stamina drain. That's why it would be really hard and not an energy efficient way to attain new forms by sheer normal ki.

@@belle4107 nah brolly has special type of ki, like he's the only one with it and it's his own thing. And jiren...jiren has advanced ki too, ya fr, it's too farfetched for him to have not unlocked god ki
@@belle4107 Broly is a genetic "anomaly" amongst the Saiyans so his Natural Ki is its own special type, being able to rival God Ki users. In Jiren's case, it's most likely he has just trained his Ki control to such an incredible level that it too rivals God Ki users.

It’s because god ki is the condensing of the normal ki inside of them. It’s why in the anime that when SSG Goku first appears, no aura is shown.
I think it saves time when drawing or animating characters
They don't have their auras flaring out, meaning they aren't using their energy at the moment. They usually don't release their ki unless powering up or attacking.

Great video! Although I do agree with your argument on the naming conventions, I DO think it would have made more sense if they called it Saiyan God just based off of appearance. But nonetheless looking forward to the next one 👍🏿👍🏿
I think people really underestimate how strong god and blue are. Sure, they are nothing compared to full powered beerus or angels, but it's a huge jump from super Saiyan 2 and 3. Personally, I think MUI Goku could defeat full hakaioshin beerus, but not beerus with ultra instinct. However, if Goku ever learned to use blue and ultra instinct together, I think that would put him on the same tier as most of the Angels.
Eh idk about that. Manga kinda proved that Beerus is levels ahead of both Goku and vegeta
I'd like to think that Akira Toriyama's 6/10/15 statement could still logically uphold by way of exponential factors rather than linear scaling.
Super Saiyan God Goku = x^6
Beerus = x^10
Whis = x^15
If you assume x = 10 for simplicity and Blue being a 50 time multiplier on top of God (based on the traditional Super Saiyan multiplier), then Kaioken x20 would put him at x^8 (or even 9 if you factor in his progression from BoG to ToP). That would certainly be in line with the idea that he's closing the gap but is still a league shy of Beerus. And of course, Whis would be eons ahead of everyone instead being a mere 1.5x stronger than Beerus under a linear scale.
Btw I know you said SSG gave Goku healing but he regrew his heart
Awesome video. I hope the next video is about Super Saiyan Blue form and his different variants like the manga Super Saiyan Blue mastered, KaioKen Blue and Shinka Blue Vegeta.
SSG is arguably the best transformation, narratively and visually. If you count MUI and UI Omen, they are awesome in their own right, and they're certaintly unique, but nothing was a larger difference between the trend of SSJ 1, 2, and 3, going in the opposite direction of SSJ4.
Sayian God is a transformation but it's not a super Sayian transformation... Goku is just using god ki in base form... Which changes him into a God... That doesn't not translate into a supersaiyan.... Ssblue is technically...supersayian God..... Doesn't matter if the creative team had no idea or can't change it... Its just how it is
