In the Dragonball Super Anime, the Saiyan beyond God state, does not possess godly ki, but it raises the user's energy to the same power level of a Super Saiyan God and allows the user to sense godly ki.
It makes more sense that this is simply their new base after achieving SSG since it fundamentally altered their ki. “Saiyan beyond god” doesn’t make sense narratively if it’s stronger than traditional SSJ forms like geek stated, there would be zero reason to ever use SSJ forms yet their used quite often, I think he messed up here. There’s more supporting evidence that this is simply base form in all materials. If god ki was being harnessed and used at this point there would have been mentions of it from the supporting cast or the realization that goku’s ki was either unable to be sensed or losing potency.
8:05 I appreciate that you (or MJ) used the frame of Frieza surrounded by his pink aura with the red spark. Almost a contrast to the SSJ2s yellow aura/blue spark color scheme.
Great video! My interpretation has been that SBG is base, but at full power - that full power coming from tapping into as much of the God Ki as one can while still in base. SSG is converting all of one’s Ki into God Ki, which makes it more potent and multiplies the power. When Goku first went SSG, he multiple his power far far far beyond his previous limits by gaining the power of God Ki through the ritual. But being untrained, he couldn’t maintain an all God Ki state of being (the SSG transformation) and so he lost the form, but because his limits where so throughly broken, and being a trained fighter and Saiyan, he was able to not only maintain the raw power boost, but even surpass it with just his base and Super Saiyan form by the end of the fight - using just normal Ki. In other words, the God ki wasn’t lost, just converted back to normal Ki he could control. Then he and Vegeta trained with Whis, where Vegeta gained God Ki for the first time, and Goku learned how to control God Ki. This meant they could now both use it to fully max out their base - SBG - or transform into a state of pure God Ki - SSG - or, do the later while also transforming into Super Saiyan - SSGSS or SSB. This also meant that they could still use the golden SS forms too, onto their much more powerful base, by simply keeping their Ki as normal Ki, instead of concentrating it into God Ki.
Just for further clarification, while what I said does imply that Goku can - hypothetically- stack SS1, 2, or 3 onto SBG, it’s not something I expect happens, at least not with SS2 or 3. This is because of stamina. SS1 - as in the Grade 4 version - can be controlled and stacked onto a incredibly suppressed base. SBG is not suppressed. It’s base max - as in the maxed normal Ki plus as much God Ki as can be brought to bear without going SSG or SSB. Hypothetically, I think Goku a this stage could use God Ki - as in be SBG - without being at max Base power, being somewhat suppressed, but it wouldn’t make sense to be because of stamina drain on using God Ki. It’s just that Goku is always getting better and better at managing his stamina in relation to using God Ki. At least during the Tournament of Power, it seemed that Goku found it easier to manage the stamina of SS3 than he did to go SSG or SSB. It could be different now, and that’s not even including the fact that he’s training to use UI technique in Base.
@@UltraEgoMc that’s fine but are you actually gonna share what you find objectionable, or just blanket hand wave it away and tell me to pay attention. It’s perfectly fine if you think I’m wrong, or very wrong, it would just be nice to know some specifics.
So you’re saying, random example along the lines of what you were saying anyway, that Goku essentially was half as strong in base as his initial SSG transformation after it wore off? And then going Super Saiyan at the end of the movie or end of the Super arc he was now like 25x stronger than he was in SSG? And then the next time he actually went SSG he was, with no known multiplier for SSG, but still like way fucking stronger? I still don’t get the point of going SSG anymore at all if they can still use god ki in their base, or even SS transformations, and also have SBG and SSB lol. Shit is confusing. And going to get even more confusing with UI in base, SS, and SSG forms
Thank you Geekdom. It just makes so much sense that SBG is its own thing instead of being the new base form. Whenever Goku/Vegeta fight someone strong, and then transform into SSB, that's how you can tell they were using Saiyan Beyond God earlier. They use it against Frieza, they use it again against Hit, and the purple Goo Vegeta uses it against SSJ 3 Gotenks. Maybe it's used a few other times (Like in the ToP), but I can't tell.
Saiyan Beyond God seems to be abandoned by the Champa/Universe 6 arc as Goku and Vegeta go back to using the regular Super Saiyan form when they could just use fractions of their Super Saiyan God power instead. In the Tournament of Power, Goku is using Super Saiyan God again, and Vegeta uses the form in DBS: Broly, which further tells us Saiyan Beyond God is discarded. With Copy Vegeta versus SSJ3 Gotenks, that's just Copy Vegeta/true Vegeta's base power being greater than SSJ3 Gotenks, which makes sense given Whis's training in the Resurrection 'F' arc, the Champa/Universe 6 arc training, and the battles of said arcs.
@@DarthKamui That's true! Good attention to detail, I completely forgot about that. It never made sense to me that Goku & Vegeta get a power up from using SSG, which then stacks the next time they use SSG. Trying to make that logic work involves creating a bunch of loops and twirls that make power scaling too conveluted. I'm not sure about Copy Vegeta though. While Goku/Vegeta would get stronger after all their training and battles, idk if I'd agree with them getting stronger than they were as SSJ3s back in the buu saga. Plus, Goku gets lowkey tossed around by Buu just before the ToP, and I don't believe he's that much stronger than innocent Buu normally is
@@hunterkeps9058 Well, Goku and other fighters can suppress their power when they want to, causing them to seem weaker than they actually are and letting opponents misjudge their strength when they first meet. Thanks to the battle with Beerus for Goku and six months of Whis's training for Vegeta, Goku and Vegeta in their base forms reached the level of strength where they can sense godly ki (although they barely reached that level at the time according to Whis), and SSJ3 Gotenks hasn't reached anywhere near that level. During his battle with Beerus in the Battle of Gods arc, a portion of the Super Saiyan God power fully merged with Goku, initially making Goku as a regular Super Saiyan equal in strength to what he previously was as a Super Saiyan God, and that level of power was in a different league from characters in the Buu saga, including Vegito. Vegeta's training with Whis in the Resurrection 'F' arc allowed him to catch up to Goku's new level of strength and might have even surpassed it according to Goku. Then both Goku and Vegeta continued training on Beerus's planet and in Whis's staff where the get even stronger, and then they of course get much stronger from the battles and training up to the events regarding Copy Vegeta.
@@DarthKamui Ah, we disagree completely with this. I don't think Saiyan Beyond God was ever abandoned, as Goku or Vegeta used it when facing really tough opponents, most notably when they transformed into SSB. That explains why sometimes SSB only seems like a small multiplier. It would also explain Copy Vegeta, as he was tanking Gotenks's hits in his 'base' form, and then immediately powered up to SSB instead of going any of the other SSJ transformations. Their base forms don't become stronger (Aside from training), they just get a new state to tap into. About sensing God Ki, I don't think that has anything to do with the user's power. If that was the case, King Kai and Dende would be stronger than Goku/Vegeta. They could sense God Ki because of the training environment, type of training, and hanging out with dieties. Also, in regards to Gotenks. He was 500-600 times stronger than Vegeta was in the Buu saga, assuming he didn't get any stronger. And Copy Vegeta took on his strongest attacks without flinching. This means that, through mostly training, Vegeta got over 1000 times stronger after a few years. I'm sorry but I just... Can't accept that, those are the kind of logic loops that 'God level at base' creates
@@hunterkeps9058 King Kai and Dende are official gods, so they can sense godly ki while being weaker than Goku and Vegeta. But it's explained by Whis and shown by Frieza, Goku, and Vegeta that those who aren't gods by nature or by assignment can reach a level via "brute force" to where they are at least able to sense godly ki. It's also shown in the series that Goku and Vegeta can just skip all of their lower forms and turn Super Saiyan Blue, even in the Universe Survival arc and DBS: Broly. Copy Vegeta likely just chose to go straight to SSB just as Goku did like they could with any other form, and Copy Vegeta tanked Gotenks's attacks earlier from just having Vegeta's really strong base power. Copy Vegeta wouldn't need any sort of power-ups in this situation when he's far, far above Buu arc characters. By the time Goku meets Vegeta on Beerus's planet in the Resurrection 'F' arc, the both of them (in their base forms) are in an entirely different league from everyone before (except Beerus). At that point in time, they would be tanking attacks from Buu arc Ultimate Gohan and a theoretical SSJ3 Vegito who are stronger than SSJ3 Gotenks.
So wait, wait.....Since absorbed SSJG into his base in BOG......does that mean when ever he uses SSJG now he is a *Super Sayian God, Super Sayian God?* 🤪🤪
I don’t think the stacked SSG has the same multiplier as when he used the ritual. The leap from SS3 to SSG was so incredibly ridiculous that it was BY FAR the biggest power leap at that point. It certainly doesn’t seem like anywhere near that big of a leap when he goes from SS3 to SSG now. I think absorbing God Ki brought his base up to a whole new level, and now stacking SSG on top of that is just a stronger transformation than SS3.
@@brandonbrewer9468 now THAT makes sense to me! With the power of Saiyan beyond god stacked with the ssj transformations, it closes the gap between ssj3 and ssjg, but ssjg is still stronger as a transformation cause it takes full use of the divine ki and amplifies it.
@@brandonbrewer9468 Dude thank you so much I was trying to wrap my head around this form because this thing confused me for sooo long. I was wondering if Goku was as strong as a SSG in HIS BASE then that means all of his friends would have to have insane leaps of power and I was so confused. Your explanation makes sense its like at BOG Goku had a base of lets just say 1 and SSJ 3 was IDK 300 while SSG was like 10,000. Now after with his Saiyan beyond god it basically squeezed the gap so now it is like 500 then 5000 and then 10,000. Ignore the numbers it was just for my head what I am trying to say is after BOG it brought his other forms closer to what he was in SSG. It didn't become SSG times SSG because if that was the case Gohan, Piccolo and the others wouldn't even be near Goku. This makes sense to me and I truly hope that is the case.
He’s not using god ki in base, god ki in base means super saiyan god. And gohan and the others could sense goku, so not god ki. It simply means having strength on par with or above ssg in base, so vegeta trained with whis and his base form had power beyond gokus first ssg, so he’s saiyan beyond god, goku absorbed god ki, so thus he’s a “saiyan whose powers beyond god”

Yeah, it's an honorary achievement. It's basically an achievement unlocked. That they're just that powerful. It's not a form, and it's not a technique like UI. It's just to flex on people: "Oh, yeah, I'm a Saiyan Beyond God."
@@memesgeek4797 no…if he was using god ki he couldn’t be sensed, yet gohan and the others could sense him. Using god ki in base is ssg dude, ssb is god ki on ssj
It sorta reminds me of kiaoken like how Goku is still in base form but kinda transforms but doesn't actually transform fully but still gets a nice power up it's like God kiaoken lol
For those confused, Saiyan Beyond God is essentially a flex. You're a Saiyan Beyond God when you've reached a certain power level (SSG level). Right now Vegeta and Goku are Saiyans Beyond God in Base when they're just chilling on the couch. It's because their power levels are that high.
Toriyama was going to totally give them a godly base and SSj Blue to go from there if need be. But I'm sure Toei's marketing department thought making the regular SSj forms completely redundant and/or impossible to use anymore (because you can outpower them in base anyway by tapping into god ki) was bad for business, plain and simple. That's why the godly base idea was abandoned, the old SSj forms restored and SSj God taking its place again. Inconsistent? As fuck. Better for tension buildup/drama preservation in a show? Perhaps. Also, SSj God looks flashier and more interesting than the regular ole base form, so there's that too.
8:45 - To me the idea that always made the most sense was that the equivalent to "super saiyan god" is Goku Black's base form, rather than just saiyan beyond god. And then Rosé is his version of super saiyan blue.
In BOG Beerus stated when Goku red Super Saiyan form depleted and they were still fighting it was absorbed in him. Goku was fighting in SSJ2 form while using Beyond God. I think It’s part of his base form now and it’s instilled with his power always.
Thank you for doing this video. This has been a source of confusion for me and others for a while, and you touched on a lot of what was confusing about it - some of which is just weird, and some of it you were able to help be easier to understand.
I love saiyan beyond gods white aura it kind of reminds me of Gohans aura but one thing I hate is how Cabba and the rest of his gang is as strong as gokus and vegetas base because their base has to be Z vegito level now
That's one of the things suggesting taht the godly absorbed base idea has been abandoned. It's impossible that Saiyans who didn't even know SSj was a thing would be stronger than SSj Vegetto just because. Them matching Goku and Vegeta's regular base forms makes a hell lotta more sense
I love how in the Movie they get a Yellowish Glow on them while the Aura is White Sadly in Games and Anime (most likely in the Manga too) they just have regular White Aura with a normal Glow on their Body
In all honesty this is being over complicated. The Saiyan beyond god form is not a state where they use their god ki. It just means the base form is stronger than the “god” form in BoG. Still though I appreciate the video.
Right? They still power up into SSG which is tapping into the God ki. SSG is MUCH stronger than regular SSJ and base form which was displayed perfectly by Vegeta in the DBS Broly fight. Then the regular SSJ stack on God Ki is super saiyan blue. Lol it's that simple honestly.
Thank you for confirming that this is official Geekdom, I was afraid that this fan made because I first saw this in Dragon fandom wiki and I really like the concept of Saiyan Beyond God but for you to confirm that this is really an official concept really makes me happy
8:35 the reason goku black's ki is like that is because he is using his own divine ki which is Zamasu's god ki. So it is kinda saiyan beyond god but not really.
If SBG was a thing, it makes sense why Goku stays in his base form at the end of Z. Toriyama’s original intentions when Battle of Gods was released was to not make a whole bunch of inconsistencies that would alter the end of Z.
I like the toei definition it makes more sense for the name saiyan beyond God if their normal ki is raised to God level. Saiyan God makes more sense if their using God ki.
If u power scale u know that base goku in the same fight with beerus surpassed ssjg when he first transformed. When goku lost ssjg during the beerus fight. Beerus stated that goku didn’t lose any power in fact he got even stronger. So yes saiyan beyond god is stronger than ssjg when it first appeared.
Saying that saiyan beyond god is stronger than traditional SSJ forms doesn’t make sense considering the dialogue between goku and freeza when goku states that he doesn’t need he doesn’t need to go that far for this battle. Then there’s further instances in the series where goku utilizes SSJ transformations which would be redundant if “saiyan beyond god” was more powerful and presumably more efficient since it’s not a “transformation”. This explanation doesn’t hold up when including the wider narrative.
This reminds me of your transformation guide about Super Saiyan Power. It feels like the writers for RoF took that concept of base forms tapping into energy reserves without going into the actual transformations, except with God ki, not Super Saiyan ki. And whereas the latter was mostly seen in short doses in Z and GT, it was interesting for them explore this concept by way of a more prolonged usage as Saiyans Beyond God through Whis' training. The idea behind training Goku to tap into UI characteristics in his lower forms in the Granolah arc is also pretty consistent as far as Whis' teachings go, not to mention the writers, since these 2 arcs are 6 years apart!
It could be Synonymous with Gohan's Ultimate Form in the sense that they are learning to access the full potential if their God KI without having to used the God Form's Transformation.
Kinda reminds me of super saiyan power where he used the power of ssj without fully transforming in the afterlife after the Cell fight, Goku's using partial god ki in his base
I know it's only in the manga but I hope Geekdom goes over Mastered/ Perfected SSB, or whatever it's called, it's basically the godly equivalent to SS Grade 4
You could even say its like a demi god state, purely because they're not fully using their ss god form... If u like but u dont have to i jus like the sound of a saiyan demi god or even ss demi god
I believe Saiyan Beyond God is separate from their base forms because of the promotional Resurrection of F material that states Goku and Vegeta can gain god-like power without changing forms, and when they do, they go SSJ Blue instead of regular SSJ. The manga panel of base Goku throwing a punch with SSJ God in the background symbolizes this too. However it seems this state was partially dropped, probably because they didn’t want Goku and Vegeta to never use regular SSJ forms ever again. BUT, they may have used it once more in that filler episode of Beerus in a Monaka suit, and the Copy Vegeta filler arc
Saiyan Beyond God is just a powered-up state in their base forms. In the Resurrection 'F' movie, Saiyan Beyond God is Goku and Vegeta using the Super Saiyan God power in base. Goku absorbed a portion of it in the Battle of Gods movie and trained with Whis to gain the rest back. Vegeta didn't absorb anything so it may have been harder for him but we don't know much on his training.
@@DarthKamui yes, I agree. Saiyan Beyond God is just Goku and Vegeta using God power in base, but it seems this ability or concept was discarded later on, the writers kinda decided it was cooler for them to just turn into red haired SSJ God rather than being able to access all that power without transforming lol
@@jdsv8601 Yeah, all of that is exactly what happened. Toriyama tries to simply things like the design of Super Saiyan God, the concept of Saiyan Beyond God and Ultimate Gohan, etc. But Toei and Shueisha want that money.
Something else to note is that this "form" only received its name from the DBH arcade games. After a little while when the normal Super Saiyan forms and Super Saiyan God became prominent for the DBS characters again, they dropped this form entirely and never really brought it back again.
I miss the days when Super Saiyan 3 was the absolute pinnacle of power. It just seems like such an afterthought nowadays. I would love to see Super Saiyan 3 (or at least a transformation that looks like it), used more often.
Okay but whether you like it or not, he can still stack standard super Saiyan on this state and get a power boost. At the cost of stamina which is probably a result of stacking those two abilities.
He can use god ki un ss giving him a minimum power up, if they transform when they already use that form then they are confirmed by the author to go directly to ssb
In the Gods of the Universe Arc (Battle of Gods & Resurrection 'F' movies), Saiyan Beyond God, or more accurately, God-like Saiyan, is just a Saiyan who has the power of the Super Saiyan God form. A Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is a Super Saiyan who has the power of the Super Saiyan God form. The Super Saiyan God power is a literal power inside the Saiyan just like Oozaru and Super Saiyan. Essentially, < 100% God Power in Base Form = Normal Base Form (0%) or Partial Saiyan Beyond God/God-like Saiyan Base Form (Between 0% & 100%) < 100% God Power in Base Form + SSJ = Golden-haired SSJ 100% God Power in Base Form = Saiyan Beyond God/God-like Saiyan Base Form 100% God Power in Base Form + SSJ = SSGSS

You guys are overthinking things. Goku absorbed the Super Saiyan God's powers into his base = God Ki from SSJG permanently enhanced his body. Vegeta became strong enough through training with Whis. Then the stronger Goku and Vegeta learned how to access God Ki in the training and incorporate it properly into Super Saiyan transformation to get Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan/Blue.
@@xcept7355 Well if we are to go into a bot more details, absorbing God Ki from SSJG into base means previously, Goku and Vegeta cannot cross a certain threshold in their base forms. But after Goku absorbing God Ki and Vegeta training with Whis at Beerus' planet, both of them are now able to power up to that threshold or even surpassed it. Hence, they can push even further with existing Super Saiyan transformations. SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, Full Potential, SSJG (BOG) = Golden Oozaru, Base (post BOG), SSJ, SSJ2, SSJ3, SSJG and SSJGSS/SSJB, SSJBKK and SSJBE
So a potential unleashed for gods? Now I gotta wait for your potential unleashed transformation guide. I know you made a video about it explaining it. But I do make the transformation guides as the definitive description of the forms. And PU does need a good solid explanation now.
Whenever Geekdom101 tries to overexplain stuff and treats them as facts: Toyotarou: Is that true, Senpai? Toriyama: *shrugs* I don't know, I never gave a thought about it. Sure, why not....
So it's basically the God Ki equivalent to the Saiyan Power from the Z filler, where Goku is tapping into a fraction of a form's power in order to get a mini buff to his base power.
All of you people trynna make sense out of this but can't is due that this FORM has been RETCONNED❌️ It's been shoved under the couch. Just like Toriyama said in that interview, Goku originally absorbed the SSG form into his Base, giving him the need to no more having to transform into a SSG since it became his Base form basically by learning how to fully tap into it by his own now by training under Whis, and once he did transform however he would no longer transform into a regular Super Saiyan but turn into a Super Saiyan Blue due to him already having become a "God" basically, with the Blue color representing his access and Ascenion to a even higher power, atleast that was the original idea. "Saiyan Beyond God" was supposed to represent Goku and Vegeta having fully mastered SSG and completed their training to the point they no longer needed to transform anymore to tap into it's power, hence them having the bright white aura representing "Purity" and name of the state being called "Saiyan Beyond God(Super Saiyan God)". The reason for all that started because of Goku already having that much transformations under his belt to begin with and Toriyama wanting to change all that and get rid of all the excessive numbers of transformations so he tried to give him just 1 again like in the old days as a way to start over again or more like giving him a new beginning, which is also the whole reason why him and Vegeta got that new clothing they got with the Whis mark on them cause he really wanted them to showcase that they are going on a brand new adventure and journey, bringing new life to the DBZ franchise. But guess freaking what??... The fans didn't like THAT at all.. The fans complained, they hated the new Blue form which they simply saw as a recoloring of the original SSJ form So Toriyama as always listened to his fans, and eventually just made it that they could still transform into all of the original Super Saiyan forms including SSG getting rid of the whole "Saiyan Beyond God" concept all together and eventually even gave them their original clothing back. Gohan was originally never supposed to come back either he was supposed to become a full scholar, with the story from now only focusing on Goku and Vegeta and their new adventures. Toriyama has been wanting to get rid of all the excessive numbers of transformations Goku has, since it even got him confused at times and that's why he's now been trying so hard to make it that Ultra Instinct will eventually become his Base form, focusing less on transformations and focus more on actual fighting skills.
Also i heard that a Saiyan that uses Saiyan Beyond God or God-Like Saiyan has a Permanent White Aura active (even if their Regular Aura is White too) so whenever they deacticate their Base Aura they would be back to their Regular Base
So it’s basically like what whis is trying to teach Goku with harnessing Ultra instinct inside him but in this case it’s Super Saiyan God

@@UltraEgoMc obviously, did I say it wasn’t?
Yes been waiting for this
Thank you Geekdom.
So wait, wait.....Since absorbed SSJG into his base in BOG......does that mean when ever he uses SSJG now he is a
*Super Sayian God, Super Sayian God?* 🤪🤪
no it just means super sayian god is just another transformation. Hopefully has features not accessible to other transformations
I just thought they rectonned it in Tournament of Power Saga

Saiyan beyond god simply explained: a state where someone surpasses super saiyan gods power in base form, weather through absorbing the strength or training. Simple.
Yeah, it's an honorary achievement. It's basically an achievement unlocked. That they're just that powerful. It's not a form, and it's not a technique like UI. It's just to flex on people: "Oh, yeah, I'm a Saiyan Beyond God."
@@StrangersFromTheMist exactly!
By using God ki
@@memesgeek4797 no…if he was using god ki he couldn’t be sensed, yet gohan and the others could sense him. Using god ki in base is ssg dude, ssb is god ki on ssj
@@Mikerille No man When Sayian beyond God turns ssj it's literally ssj blue. It's the same thing. The user uses God ki
Sounds about right to me
The video that we've been waiting for, and it was well delivered.
I call it God Essence
That's a great way of calling it.
Saiyan Beyond God
God Essence

cool, its called Saiyan Beyond God though. You can call Super Saiyan 4 "Super Saiyan Fur" but its still Four., even though fur sounds like four.
nm.
I think It’s part of his base form now and it’s instilled with his power always.
makes sense.
No. Goku was obviously using SSJ not SSJ2, there's a difference.
A Saiyan with the power of the Super Saiyan God form via perfect Ki control.
In Dragon Ball Super at least.
Thank you for doing this video. This has been a source of confusion for me and others for a while, and you touched on a lot of what was confusing about it - some of which is just weird, and some of it you were able to help be easier to understand.
I love saiyan beyond gods white aura it kind of reminds me of Gohans aura but one thing I hate is how Cabba and the rest of his gang is as strong as gokus and vegetas base because their base has to be Z vegito level now
And yes even though they don’t use it 24/7 their base should be hella strong
That's one of the things suggesting taht the godly absorbed base idea has been abandoned. It's impossible that Saiyans who didn't even know SSj was a thing would be stronger than SSj Vegetto just because. Them matching Goku and Vegeta's regular base forms makes a hell lotta more sense
I love how in the Movie they get a Yellowish Glow on them while the Aura is White
Sadly in Games and Anime (most likely in the Manga too) they just have regular White Aura with a normal Glow on their Body
In all honesty this is being over complicated. The Saiyan beyond god form is not a state where they use their god ki. It just means the base form is stronger than the “god” form in BoG.
Still though I appreciate the video.
Yea, it's the same reason Goku was able to fight Beerus as just a ssj even tho his god form ran out and was no longer using god ki.
Yes ive been waiting for this forever!!
Great job explaining to us
It all makes sense now
Thank you for confirming that this is official Geekdom, I was afraid that this fan made because I first saw this in Dragon fandom wiki and I really like the concept of Saiyan Beyond God but for you to confirm that this is really an official concept really makes me happy
love this content dude really makes my day👍
8:35 the reason goku black's ki is like that is because he is using his own divine ki which is Zamasu's god ki. So it is kinda saiyan beyond god but not really.
If SBG was a thing, it makes sense why Goku stays in his base form at the end of Z. Toriyama’s original intentions when Battle of Gods was released was to not make a whole bunch of inconsistencies that would alter the end of Z.
Now THIS is the content i come to geekdom for
I like the toei definition it makes more sense for the name saiyan beyond God if their normal ki is raised to God level. Saiyan God makes more sense if their using God ki.
I saw saiyan beyond god as becoming a part of their base form but what you said makes sense
It did become part of their base form
So we basically have Ultimate Goku and Ultimate Vegeta.
Thanks Danny! Your DB content is the best!

I have a few questions. What is God Ki exactly? Is it really just hold the Ki inside yourself and not letting it leak out? 🤔

I can't wait for super saiyan blue on the next video, looking forward to it because I love this transformation guide.
Agreed
it is an power up in base, just like ultimate gohan
I feel like I’ve been waiting for this video for a while
Thanks geekdom
It could be Synonymous with Gohan's Ultimate Form in the sense that they are learning to access the full potential if their God KI without having to used the God Form's Transformation.
its not the same thing.
@@Geekdom101, I didn't say they were the same but there could be similarities even if they fundamental differently.

I completely forgot saiyan beyond god was a thing, ss blue makes more sense now.
Great video man!!!
Awesome
Very good video dude
I always thought of Saiyan Beyond God as an very improved and powerful base form.
Something else to note is that this "form" only received its name from the DBH arcade games. After a little while when the normal Super Saiyan forms and Super Saiyan God became prominent for the DBS characters again, they dropped this form entirely and never really brought it back again.

Essentially,
< 100% God Power in Base Form = Normal Base Form (0%) or Partial Saiyan Beyond God/God-like Saiyan Base Form (Between 0% & 100%)
< 100% God Power in Base Form + SSJ = Golden-haired SSJ
100% God Power in Base Form = Saiyan Beyond God/God-like Saiyan Base Form
100% God Power in Base Form + SSJ = SSGSS
That moment when you realize that Resurrection 'F' Saga Goku can defeat Buu Saga Super Saiyan 3 Goku just in his base form.

But after Goku absorbing God Ki and Vegeta training with Whis at Beerus' planet, both of them are now able to power up to that threshold or even surpassed it.
Hence, they can push even further with existing Super Saiyan transformations.

So if geekdom says that SSB is going Super Saiyan when you're in SBG
*then what is SSG?*
Well let’s just say saiyan beyond god is like super saiyan god.
Whenever Geekdom101 tries to overexplain stuff and treats them as facts:
Toyotarou: Is that true, Senpai?
Toriyama: *shrugs* I don't know, I never gave a thought about it. Sure, why not....
So it's basically the God Ki equivalent to the Saiyan Power from the Z filler, where Goku is tapping into a fraction of a form's power in order to get a mini buff to his base power.
To me it makes sense when I think about it like this. It’s almost like gohans ultimate form with god ki.
💯 nice one.
The fans complained, they hated the new Blue form which they simply saw as a recoloring of the original SSJ form
So Toriyama as always listened to his fans, and eventually just made it that they could still transform into all of the original Super Saiyan forms including SSG getting rid of the whole "Saiyan Beyond God" concept all together and eventually even gave them their original clothing back.
