Hard cheese has little to no lactose, they even have specialty lactose free cheese. You can also take lactase enzyme pills before eating dairy.

I love the grilled cheese I prepare at home. I use a sandwich type grill, which creates that seal diagonally across the bread as well as around the crust. This makes sort of like two pockets of really melted cheese. Biting into it is my definition of happiness.

How to ruin grilled cheese sandwich: donuts, marinara soup and banana hook.
Plus board games is a very big indication that the food is gonna suck and service is great.
That's the kind of soup I want to dip my sandwich in. Not something that tastes like they put one tomato in water and boiled it for one minute before serving. Most "tomato soups" are wayyy too thin and barely taste like tomato, and that is not what I want

What I learned if you're splitting a grilled cheese is, when you do the cheese pull, make sure the other person pulls higher so your get the cheese dripping on your sandwich
The best grilled cheese sandwich I ever had was at a little stand in the Sawtelle neighborhood of West Los Angeles called Ketchie's. It closed in 1986 after it was hit by a truck or something and they never rebuilt it. The second best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had was off a street cart in Madrid in 1983. I think it was made with fontina or manchego, some sort of excellent white cheese. But for grilled cheese I'm okay with good old sharp yellow cheddar or even American cheese. In fact, I had a grilled cheese sandwich for dinner tonight.
I can't imagine anyone actually going out for a grilled cheese sandwich. Yet millions upon millions of people go out for coffee, so go figure.

I love Murray’s! When I worked in the Village, every Friday I would go to Murray’s purchase 3-5 different cheeses that I never had before for my my wine, cheese and fruit Friday tastings- I would always let the cheese experts pick the cheeses out- Unfortunately, I never indulged in one of their grilled cheeses- I will have to try one on my next trip!

I get my grill cheese fix at the Nugget Markets they have there own bakery so homemade bread and cheese from local dairy farmers and around the world. Plus homemade soups I pair mine with thick creamy tomato soup yum on cold rainy or snowy days. Hello from Lake Tahoe California.

I use my ancient George Foreman grill to make grilled cheese sandwiches. Best tool for the job. Sourdough, extra sharp cheddar, and jalapeno mustard. Some kosher dill pickles on the side, magic.
