Same. If you want to upgrade speed by 24%, then find some rockshox stickers or any other sticker from a popular bike brand. I took a 3 mile trail ride down to 1 minute 38 secs!
Good job guys. You're really filling a RUclips niche that other 'online' bike shops are totally missing out on...... always informative and always entertaining!
This and your similar video describing Schwalbe products should be considered a public service to the general mountain biking community. Absolutely awesome description of the merits of each, and when they are used. Super helpful and essential understanding in wading through the myriad Maxxis and Schwalbe options. Thank you!
Running a Minion DHF on the front and a High Roller 2 on the rear of my Giant Reign, fantastic performance over lots of different terrain and never had a puncture since going tubeless, great tires...
Just stopped in a few weeks ago on our spring break vacation. Great show room and courteous staff (gave me a t-shirt too). You guys rock and great video.
Here in Pennsylvania there is everything to dusty loose stuff to extreme technical rock gardens to loamy flow, we have it all, so i ride a DHR in the front and a DHR 2 in the back.
High roller ll front and rear of my tall boy. Living in Massachusetts here, so lots of rocks. Plenty of grip and straight line tracking thru soft dirt to muddy conditions
DJ-both holyroller DH- minion dhr 2 on back specialized butcher on front Trail- both kenda navegal Looking to upgrade all to maxxis because thats all ive riden since a kid just thought id give othe ones a try
Kenda Nevegal's read my slowest rolling, worst in the mud tire list years ago. They were coming OEM on most all aggressive mountain bikes and looked cool. I didn't know if there are even being manufactured anymore, hoped not tbh lol.
For general riding, I'm on 2.5 WTB Breakouts Fast Rolling, Light Casing. REALLY like these tires for anything street to an easier going (blue maybe) intermediate trail. They roll super well and are very grippy despite the harder durometer rubber. Anything more serious, my other wheels are shod with WT Minions, for already well known reasons.
I run a Maxxis Ardent 29x2.3 in the front and a Continental Trail King 29x2.3 in the rear. For the trails I run(Kettle Moraine) here in Wisconsin, I really dig that tire set up.
Nice setup! I was thinking something similar, ikon 2.35 rear and 2.35 race ardent upfront. I don't ride really technical trails and sometimes I pound pavement...
I wondered this as well. I've had great performance from a High Roller 2 in the front and an Ardent in the rear. Gonna try Aggressor in the rear next but I'm happy with the HR2 up front for most CO front range trails.
Thank you! My bike came with Icons standard (Anthem 29er) and they’re not grippy enough for a lot of the loose gravel around here. So this video was needed and gave me some ideas. Cheers!
I run a High Roller in the front and an Aggressor in the rear. Had High Rollers on both front and back and found it a bit sluggish. Switched out the back and feel like I have a great combo.
I had 5 flats on my racerking 2.2 and i wanted to make a bullet proof tire so i cutted the side walls of the tire and kept only the knobs surface ..then i glued it (knobs facing up) in the interior of a Kenda Kinetics,i knew that i wouldn t find a tire thick like that so i made it myself,i love it!
Maxxis crossmark II on the back, ignitor up front. Its on a XC race bike. I previously run ikons but they have too thin sidewalls and not enough traction for where I ride (Chile)
I run High Rollers front and rear, can be a little sluggish on the rear so I just always replace the front with a new HR and the old front goes on the rear once it's scrubbed off.
This is the exact video I was looking for, Thanks!! I just bought a bike and I’m pretty sure the guy put too small of a tire on because it doesn’t seat properly on either rim and I ended up popping my tube right at the top of the trail and had to walk the rest of the way. (Of course it’s the one time I didn’t bring my tools on the trail) anyways thanks for the very awesome video.
I just ordered some Ignitors (26x2.35) to replace Panaracer Fire XCs (26x2.1). I really like the Fires but wanted a little more air volume for my hardtail. My local trail has a lot of rock and roots. I'm also going tubeless.
I mounted the Ignitors on Stan's No Tubes Arch MK3 wheels. They mounted so easy I thought I did something wrong because I've heard it's hard to do...well it went very easy for me. Great tires to replace the Fire XCs. The extra volume is nice on the rough sections of my local trail. I'm sure the lower tire pressure I can run from being tubeless helps a lot. High 5 for no more pinch flats!
I've got wtb vigilante 2.3 both front and rear on my 120mm hard tail. I like the traction but have considered something that rolls a little faster since my local trails are pretty xc oriented. Lots of quick punchy climbs and roll-ins down the other side. Thanks for going over these. Hopefully I'll be getting something soon.
doctajuice nice! Vigilante tires definitely have great traction. If you wanted to try something a little faster rolling on the Maxxis side you could try a DHR II up front and an aggressor rear tire. Still plenty of traction that should roll a bit faster. Or you can even try Ardent's front and rear. Those would be wayyy faster and light but definitely have less traction than your vigilantes.
Informative video for sure. I would have sat through it if it was even longer, and talked more about the Crossmark, plus the Rekon, Forkaster, High Rollerm Igniter, etc.
I prefer the conti mountain king race sport 2,4. Just over 500g light and made in Germany 😎 I run them tubeless even it's not a tubeless ready tire according to Conti
Great explanation, I just blew my stock tire or my Roscoe, put a dhr on rear, honestly can’t believe the difference I feel. Also running higher pressure, but definitely faster yet stable on corners. I’m not a small guy either so control helps!
Great review. I rode Maxxis Griffin 2.3 last year on my bike last year, good one for packed dirt, especially when it hasn't rained for a while, very effective in bike park when trail seems like highway for then super technical/muddy condition
Running the new Maxxis Rekon 2.6WT up front with the trusty Ikon 2.35 on my Ibis Ripley with 35mm ID rims. So far I can't imagine anything better for my south east riding.
Worldwide Cyclery I was coin tossing between the 2.35 Ardent Race or the Ikon. Ikon has suited me good but I'm hoping they will make it in a WT casing soon! Loving the channel btw!
I’m running the 2018 e*thirteen trs race and pro combo in 27.5. We’ve had a lot of rain here in Atlanta over the past few months, and they’ve been great In the mud, roots, and rocks that make up most of our trails. Pros: Absolutely amazing traction. Stick to anything. Shed mud pretty well. Very well reinforced sidewalls, but they still have good give. Seem to be wearing really well for being so sticky. Cons: Heavy and sloooooow. These tires have some seriously noticeable rolling resistance, especially now that the trails have started drying out. Overall great tires when it’s nasty, but I really want something lighter and faster when the trails are dry. On the plus side, they’re upping my fitness level. They really make you work on flats and climbs.
Erol Oran - I’m running the TRSr front and rear in 27.5 and your review is spot on. Grip everywhere - most of any tire I’ve ever run. Butt damn are they slow rolling!
Ride bSIDe what size? My bike came with 2.3 front and back and I think my internal width is 22 on my DT swiss so don’t think I can do the “WT” dhf in the front right? I already bought the aggressor for rear in 2.3
I'm now running 2 Schwalbe nobby nic's 26x2,35 but since I am going to race in the alps in France (I live in Holland but try to freeride on any downhill we have in this flat country) I ordered Maxxis DHF 26x2,5 dualply and a 26x2,4 DHR II dualply. the bike I am using is a Specialized Enduro SX 2014 (Yes it is a dual slalom/4x bike but we converted it to a trail bike =D)
All good points but you forgot to talk about the type of dirt you’re riding. Is it a groomed bike park, Moab slick rock, high alpine, or loose sand? One thing I’ve found helpful is to use a good sized TelePrompTer even just for using as an outline, it helps a lot to make sure you hit all your speaking points. It’s really hard when you start talking on camera to remember them all. Keep the content coming!
Maxxis DHF 2.5 and DHR 2.3 on my Yeti 4.5c. I ride single track on mixed surfaces in New England and so far this combo is working on the technical climbs and loose downhills.
I’ve had my Yeti for a few months now. It was used with not a lot of miles on it and is a cherry. I’ve been very impressed with how it climbs along with how quick it is when pointed downhill. I also have a Trek Farley 7 that I converted to a 1/2 fat for the summer months and the Yeti climbing capabilities are comparable. Regards,
Dhf upfront with a high roller on the rear... Used a ardent on the back before, rolled well but just does not offer the same feel as the HR. Used a DHR before on the front and it was also great. Next step for summer in South Africa for me would be the aggressor on the rear. Maaaxxxxxiiissss tyres rock!
Crossmark 2s great all around XC tire , very durable, but I want to go faster and a bit lighter on the rotational weight for gravel /Levee riding, so I might buy the IKONS
I use ikon tires front and rear, and i can say in many scenery i where with these tires i have excellent grip and it really fast rolling tire, but in the mud loose all the traction. In the scale from 1-10 I’ll probably put 8 points
I use to ride in NM where is really dry and dusty and have had a lot of front wash out with Ikon’s front and rear on my Scott Scale 760. Keep debating putting more aggressive tires on the XC hardtail.
Asaf Seri - Levy yes we should definitely do that! Thanks for the idea. Also, check the link on the video to description to our blog on this topic. The blog goes more in depth on the compounds.
DHR II 2.4 on the front, Forekaster 2.35 rear (exo on both). This is on my 130mm full suspension, riding mostly North Texas trails. Lots of loose rocks and loose dirt on the trails that I ride, and this combo is decently light weight with tons of grip. I'm thinking of trying dual aggressors in the front in and rear next to see if I can get the same grip with better RR.
I always use hard tail MTB's as urban commuters due to them being comfortable. Mine is a brand new Schwinn Boundary with Maxxis hookworms. Gonna end up switching to a 1x12, some better bars, and hydraulic brakes though
Onza Ibex 2.4 front and rear. It's damn near identical to the DHR-2 but slightly shorter knobs and lighter, so it's faster rolling. Made by Maxxis for Onza using the same case as the Ardent 2.4. Available in 60 or 120 tpi.
I use the assegei dh casing front and rear for freeride and dh runs. So grippy and dont have to worry about cutting them and i am a fatso! Use the dhf and dhr2 for trails and xc!
Thinking about running this combo, how is it holding up? I ride everything roots, rocks, dry, wet and mud. Bikes is a Lapierre 327 am zesty FS 150mm f&r. on tough toms right now stock tires don't love them..
I have a 27.5+ bike and just bought some new tires for it. I got the Maxxis Minion DHF 27.5 x 2.8 for the front, and an Aggressor 27.5 x 2.5WT for the rear. Is the width difference of .3” anything to be concerned about?
No need to worry at all :) You should be good to go with that tire set up. Could have maybe gone a little wider in the rear but should still ride well. Let us know if you have any other questions!
Very good video! I'm currently running an Aggressor on the rear of my S-Works Camber. Looking for a fast rolling, relatively light 2.4 for the front. Essentially, the equivalent of the Aggressor for the front. Suggestions?
I am running Maxxis Ardent 2.25 EXO front and back on my hardtail ....I do some light trail riding and putter around town on it and they seem to work well.
ruclips.net/video/GLRNmRKi3Hw/видео.html in video it looks more flat and easier, this one is more technical trail from this group of trailbuilders they have also faster trails and yes it is quite dusty during summer
You forgot to comment on the Highroller! Been a mainstay on my bike for years. Currently run DHF Supertacky 2.5 front and Highroller 2.4 Exo 60a rear on my 2010 Trek Fuel Ex 8
Currently running HR2 MaxxTerra 3C in the front and love the traction but it's not very fast rolling, would not recommend HR2 MaxTerra 3C in the rear because side knobs start ripping, dual compound fairs better. Running DHR2 MaxxTerra 3C in the rear and it's great, side knobs are holding up much better, climbing traction is also better, similar rolling. I also race (somewhat aggressive) cross country and have Griffin MaxxTerra 3C in the front and Ardent Race MaxxSpeed 3C in the rear and it's pretty amazing setup for the racing I do, very fast rolling and loads of grip in the front. Haven't really tried this setup in the wet/muddy and I'm not planning to either. Will be installing DHF in the front and Agressor in the rear when the time comes.
@@Marineavp yes, I'm using Griffin and Arden Race strictly in the dry. I've never used them in wet so I don't know how they are, and I'm not really planning to try so won't be able to give you any feedback.
Michelin is making great MTB tires these days! I am actually using some on my trail bike right now and love them. Check it out - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
tmorbo You've experienced some Michelin tires then! I've currently am thinking about getting the New Michelin Wild Enduro for my new Trek Remedy 8. Have you read about them? They are making 2 different mixtures and one front and one rear specified tire. Check em out!
I would like to get everyone's opinion about the Maxxis Crossmark II MTB tires. I've done some research with regard to: Size - 26" tire Cost per tire - $65.00 Bike - 95'Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E Environment - Loose over hard clay, wet leaves Rider - 150lbs. I know that these tires roll well and are reasonably light with sidewall protection. My concerns are of any potential downsides with regards to grip and cornering. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
I think that these tires are going to be fine for your application. If you need more traction I would recommend larger wheels and full suspension. :) Joking aside I have heard good things about the Griffin as well www.worldwidecyclery.com/products/maxxis-griffin-downhill-tire-26-x-2-40-triple-compound-2-ply-black#
I know that I'm running ancient hardware right now with such an old bike, however it is still very tight. Surprisingly, I get compliments for this bike. I expect to be riding a Trek Xcaliber, in a couple of months. (sticking with hardtails for now.) Thanks for the confirmation on the tires.
I am riding double ignitors on my Marlin 5. I like they grip they give but do other people view me as a noob? Should I move to something a little faster rolling?
MrPurpdrank22 haha not a noob. A lot of people run those tires and they work well. Never hurts to try other models though and see how they work in comparison.
We have an updated & much better version of this video here - ruclips.net/video/oGzZni3SFxU/видео.html
What about Dell tires
*Tyres wtf is tires? man oh man claiming to be a biking channel yet you can't even use the propper word tyre! yah you are deff a scam.
I prefer to run no tires for best rolling speed.
Only way to do it!
Same. If you want to upgrade speed by 24%, then find some rockshox stickers or any other sticker from a popular bike brand. I took a 3 mile trail ride down to 1 minute 38 secs!
Wes Peebles, how much air pressure?
I'd hate to be your butt
what a god

Hey thanks! Did you see our updated version of the Maxxis one? We did much better the second time 😁 - ruclips.net/video/oGzZni3SFxU/видео.html
There's an advantage to being an old and tired MTb rider, you no longer care about details. Any tire will do ,because i rarely get up above 30 KMH . 😜
Dhf in the front! Aggressor dd in the back🤘
Running a Minion DHF on the front and a High Roller 2 on the rear of my Giant Reign, fantastic performance over lots of different terrain and never had a puncture since going tubeless, great tires...
Me watching this without headphones…
I have Maxis Ardent 2.25 on my 29" XC bike and love it. Does it all for a bike like that and provides good traction on most of the terrains.
DHF 3C 2.6 front and DHR II dual 2.4 rear, loving it!
Just stopped in a few weeks ago on our spring break vacation. Great show room and courteous staff (gave me a t-shirt too). You guys rock and great video.
Thank you for the kind words! Let us know if there are any specific topics you want us to cover :)
Here in Pennsylvania there is everything to dusty loose stuff to extreme technical rock gardens to loamy flow, we have it all, so i ride a DHR in the front and a DHR 2 in the back.
I have the 2.2 ikons on my giant, definitely light weight and very good for crosscountry/trail rides.

Kenda Nevegal's read my slowest rolling, worst in the mud tire list years ago.
They were coming OEM on most all aggressive mountain bikes and looked cool.
I didn't know if there are even being manufactured anymore, hoped not tbh lol.
Used to have Minions, but now I'm on High roller 2's, and have to say, works perfect in most conditions and I'm loving them!

So much solid info in this video. I know a lot more now about Maxxis tires than I did before.
What about the High Roller?
Very solid tire with an aggressive tread pattern, great for loose and technical terrain :) Let us know if you have any other questions!
Demo'd a Giant Trance Advanced at Outerbike on Mag 7, which had High Roller's front & rear. No issues!
I wondered this as well. I've had great performance from a High Roller 2 in the front and an Ardent in the rear. Gonna try Aggressor in the rear next but I'm happy with the HR2 up front for most CO front range trails.

Maxxis is my “go-to” tire company. Everything they make rocks!
Matt McCluskey rocks that pop
Amen ,got me some Maxxiss first time few years ago ,absolutely awesome rubber quality, stick like dropping Anchor ⚓️ 😅 well worth the extra lettuce 💸
DHR II 2.4 up front and Aggressor 2.3 in the rear. I’m happy with it.
Josh Phillips that’s what I’m thinking about running. Does the setup grip well?
I run High Rollers front and rear, can be a little sluggish on the rear so I just always replace the front with a new HR and the old front goes on the rear once it's scrubbed off.

realy clear and useful video with out being too long - spot on, thanks!
I just ordered some Ignitors (26x2.35) to replace Panaracer Fire XCs (26x2.1). I really like the Fires but wanted a little more air volume for my hardtail. My local trail has a lot of rock and roots. I'm also going tubeless.

Good video, riding the Highroller II 2.4 in the front and Forekaster 2.35 rear. Both EXO/3C, on my 130mm travel Trail Bike, Whyte T130RS
DHF at front and Griffin out back. The Griffin is rarely mentioned.
Many years ago Worm drive was super tyre for 28" my ciclocross)
Running the new Maxxis Rekon 2.6WT up front with the trusty Ikon 2.35 on my Ibis Ripley with 35mm ID rims. So far I can't imagine anything better for my south east riding.
tself77 nice! I'm actually looking at trying a 2.6 Rekon. It's a light tire for that width.
Worldwide Cyclery still fast too. Wish there was a 2.4WT I could run in the back of my Ripley.
How about a 2.4 Ardent? Or 2.35 Ardent Race? That might fit the bill of good traction, light and fast rolling.
Worldwide Cyclery I was coin tossing between the 2.35 Ardent Race or the Ikon. Ikon has suited me good but I'm hoping they will make it in a WT casing soon!
Loving the channel btw!

Well said sir! Few of the guys at the shop tried out these tires and loved the grip, just not the weight. Spot on review :)
The first time I rode them, I kept stopping to check the pressure. I thought they were going flat.
More of these tyre of videos please. Even their official websites makes it difficult to choose!
I'm glad Worldwide Cyclery is back.!!!
DHF up front and aggressor rear for gnarly east coast rocks on a pivot switchblade.
Ride bSIDe great tire setup indeed!
Ride bSIDe what size? My bike came with 2.3 front and back and I think my internal width is 22 on my DT swiss so don’t think I can do the “WT” dhf in the front right? I already bought the aggressor for rear in 2.3
2.3 on both on flow rims(25.5mm internal). I believe you are correct.
2:10 literally the first time i saw a mtb fork like that......
The cannondale lefty
Its so ugly😂
DHR II 2.3 EXO 3C front, Forekaster 2.3 EXO DC rear
i use Maxxis pace in the rear which replaced my old crossmark

Schwalbe: Rock Razor rear - Hans Dampf up front. Reliable, grippy combo.
Definitely! Rock Razor is one my favorite rear tires.
Maxxis DHF 2.5 and DHR 2.3 on my Yeti 4.5c. I ride single track on mixed surfaces in New England and so far this combo is working on the technical climbs and loose downhills.
Hugely popular combo around here too, how long have you had your yeti?
I’ve had my Yeti for a few months now. It was used with not a lot of miles on it and is a cherry. I’ve been very impressed with how it climbs along with how quick it is when pointed downhill. I also have a Trek Farley 7 that I converted to a 1/2 fat for the summer months and the Yeti climbing capabilities are comparable.
Regards,
Magic mary up front.. agressor on the rear. Great combo
Good job with the explanations, guys.
I'm running Minion DHF front and rear, 2.5 and 2.3 respectively on a Specialized Enduro.
Cool video! I run Maxxis Aspen 2.1 both front and rear!
I just installed the DHF 29er 2.30 and really like the control and cornering traction awesome !
Nice! Great to hear!
best balance for all conditions
2.6" minion dhf
2.6" rekon
I haven't tried a 2.6 DHF yet, just 2.5 and 2.8, but the 2.6 Rekon is pretty good, you can push it more than you might think.
I'm running Schwalbe Nobby Nics front and rear and they suck for Finnish winter, but great for summer.
I'm running. Trail King 26x2.4 front and 26x2.2 Panaracer Swoop rear. Very balanced. Perfect for my trails and paths.
Crossmark 2s great all around XC tire , very durable, but I want to go faster and a bit lighter on the rotational weight for gravel /Levee riding, so I might buy the IKONS
I run Ardent Race in the Summer and High Roller2 in Spring/Autumn. In the winter with mud, snow and ice i use Shorty and Minion DHR 2 in the rear
Try the Aspen front and rear, it copes way better in the mud and still has low rolling resistance and good traction in sand
I'm Running E*13 TRS+ 27.5. The amount of grip is amazing.
Can you please make a video which explains the differents between the compounds and casing in particular in maxxis? (exo/dual. Maxterra/maxgrip)
Asaf Seri - Levy yes we should definitely do that! Thanks for the idea. Also, check the link on the video to description to our blog on this topic. The blog goes more in depth on the compounds.
Worldwide Cyclery thanks. I really need an explanation.
Love when I get my packages from world wide cyclery came home from
Work and there it was!
Chris 825 we love getting orders from you! Cheers!
26” hardtail with 130mm of travel running minion dhf and dhr
Nice!
How about space between rear tire n body ?me use fox float 130mm hardtail.
Throttle rc, 29”x2.3, 110 fork on my Blur
I ride on Maxxis Larsen TTs, just found out the kinda stopped making them. They're great.
nice work, for CX Schwalbi Rocket Ron, for enduro will be MAXXIS, thank you!
Verdon Rocks Photography good choices!
Stumpy hardtail 29er with minion dhf 2.5 and minion ss 2.3 rear. All around trail riding. Good info, thanks.
DHF's 29 ners
in rear
and front
I have maxxis ardents on my bike and I love them.
DHF front Aggressor rear. Great for almost everything.
AVM93 absolutely!
I run a DHF on the front and a minion SS on the rear for trail. Love maxxis tyres 👍
Fast rolling set up ?
I always use hard tail MTB's as urban commuters due to them being comfortable. Mine is a brand new Schwinn Boundary with Maxxis hookworms. Gonna end up switching to a 1x12, some better bars, and hydraulic brakes though
Onza Ibex 2.4 front and rear. It's damn near identical to the DHR-2 but slightly shorter knobs and lighter, so it's faster rolling. Made by Maxxis for Onza using the same case as the Ardent 2.4. Available in 60 or 120 tpi.
Nice! Have you tried any other Onza models? Curious how you like them and how they hold up. They do look sweet.
Have you tried the Citius tire? I've heard of a popular setup with citius front and ibex rear
i think maxxis does not make the onza tyres, both are different companies
I use the assegei dh casing front and rear for freeride and dh runs. So grippy and dont have to worry about cutting them and i am a fatso! Use the dhf and dhr2 for trails and xc!
Maxxis DHR2 (3C maxterra) and Maxxis DHR2 (dual)
You are a wise man Daniel. A very very wise man.
Thinking about running this combo, how is it holding up? I ride everything roots, rocks, dry, wet and mud. Bikes is a Lapierre 327 am zesty FS 150mm f&r. on tough toms right now stock tires don't love them..
Lol here in southeast PA we don't ride when it's wet. Running WTB Ranger 27.5x3 tcs tough front and rear.
2.5 isn’t a plus tire
i have on my canyon spectral 2020, DHR II 2.4 up front and Aggressor 2.5 in the rear I’m happy with it.
Very good video! I'm currently running an Aggressor on the rear of my S-Works Camber. Looking for a fast rolling, relatively light 2.4 for the front. Essentially, the equivalent of the Aggressor for the front. Suggestions?
Ardent rear High Roller up front is my combo
High rollers front and back ❤
I am running Maxxis Ardent 2.25 EXO front and back on my hardtail ....I do some light trail riding and putter around town on it and they seem to work well.
Nice! What bike are you riding?
Minion DHF in the front
MInion DHR in the read
and let it roll.
I have DHR in rear and once I finish schwalbe in front I want to replace it as well with DHF
What are your trails like? Lots of dry dusty gravel near me and lots of people run DHF/DHR too
ruclips.net/video/GLRNmRKi3Hw/видео.html in video it looks more flat and easier, this one is more technical trail from this group of trailbuilders they have also faster trails and yes it is quite dusty during summer
I’m running just dhf myself on both bikes. I’d like to try a dhr eventually my local supplier has a hard time with maxxis.
@@romanko1010
.
I love the Mavic Crossmax Charge at the front and the Crossmax Roam XL in the rear. That setup works best for me.
I run a minion dhf 2.6 up front and an ardent2.25 in the rear
JM Outdoors nice! What bike are you riding?
I commented above
Maxxis Aspen EXO 29x2.25 rear/ Maxxis Ikon EXO 29x2.35 front- on a Single Speed Hardtail
Crossmark all the way for me🤣
Great video and a great education. I love the selection and choices available. It looks like so much fun!!!!
DHF 2.5 front with Agressor 2.3 rear...such a good combo
You forgot to comment on the Highroller! Been a mainstay on my bike for years. Currently run DHF Supertacky 2.5 front and Highroller 2.4 Exo 60a rear on my 2010 Trek Fuel Ex 8
Ignitor ftw!!! Ignitor forever!
Its an awesome front tire. I combine them with ikons at the back.
Great video! I personally run dhf 2.3 for my mid-travel hardtail trail bike on normally wet terrain here at Southern Chile. Greetings lml!
What about Maxxis Pace? Have them on my 26" x 1.95 tyres.
¿what type of terrain did you use the griffin? i imagine, dry
@@Marineavp yes, I'm using Griffin and Arden Race strictly in the dry. I've never used them in wet so I don't know how they are, and I'm not really planning to try so won't be able to give you any feedback.
I'm running Michelin tires, the Wild am in the front and the Force am in the back. What are your thoughts on those tires?
Michelin is making great MTB tires these days! I am actually using some on my trail bike right now and love them. Check it out - www.worldwidecyclery.com/blogs/worldwide-cyclery-blog/employee-rides-jeffs-alloy-transition-smuggler-sbg
Sweet ride! I have my Michelin's on a 2018 Devinci Troy Lt.
tmorbo nice! I had a Troy a few years back and loved the thing.
Worldwide Cyclery the bike is amazing especially the new Troy LT you'll have to try it out it's completely reworked from the previous years.
tmorbo You've experienced some Michelin tires then!
I've done some research with regard to:
Size - 26" tire
Cost per tire - $65.00
Bike - 95'Gary Fisher Hoo Koo E
Environment - Loose over hard clay, wet leaves
Rider - 150lbs.
(sticking with hardtails for now.)
Thanks for the confirmation on the tires.
i got the ikon maxxis on my giant tylon 3er 2019
How's the performance of ikon? And how much
I'm currently running Maxxis Pace on my hardtail. Planning to go up on Maxxis Minion
MrPurpdrank22 what width is your tires on your Marlin 5
