What an awesome pit! Can't wait to see it in action! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you!
Get yourself a trailer dolly and some wheel chocks from Harbor Freight. It'll make things a little easier to move once you're able to back stuff up to a level surface and you just need to tweak the position. Can't wait to one day put my order in for a Mill Scale. What a beauty!
Hey thanks for the tip! Looking at trailer dollies as we speak. Already got some chocks. And thanks for watching!
Beautiful pit, can't wait to see some smoke rollin through it!

So the outside of these don’t get a powder coat? I’m just asking because I’ve seen another metal worker that does it.
It's only clear coated
Nice pit!!
Don't forget to pump some grease in those hubs.
Planning on doing that. Any advice on what kind I should use?
@@fikscue I would recommend lucas red and tacky. Good stuff!
Nice pit brother!
Thanks 👍
what made you upgrade from the 250 to the 500?
Needed more capacity and something that we can bring to events.
Definitely subscribing
Appreciate that
Great vid and amazing looking rig! Did you worry when stopping overnight that someone steal it while you slept?
Thanks man! I was terrified lol. Kept waking up and checked outside twice throughout the night.
CONGRAAATS BRO!
Love it man! Been waiting for this video…..we drove just shy of 4K miles to pick up the 250.
Thanks Eric!
@@hp6169 Thanks buddy! All your towing tips definitely helped us 🤝
Congratulations how much will cost these smoker I hope all the best for you
Thank you! I'll talk about it on the next video I'm doing on the walk around of the pit. Pls stay tuned.
Are you full time in the BBQ business now? If you are you should talk about your journey and how you scaled from pit to pit to pit.
Great idea, Joshua. I am planning to share everything about my journey. Thanks
Did you look at m&m smokers? If you did why didn't you go with them?
Fik's awesomeness just went up even more!!! SporklyBBQ
Haha thanks my man! 👊🏼
congrats! love it!
Thanks man!
@@fikscue u still keeping your Big Phil's 250 gallon, as I think its one of the best looking cookers I ever seen! I picked up an old 250 gallon tank to try my hand @ building one... is there anyway you could give me a few dimensions off the 250? I could use the overall smoke stack length, cook chamber door size. & firebox height & depth.
@@bigdawgsbbq2737 Yup, keeping the 250. Here's some dimensions on it: Stack length: 52"; Cook chamber door: 25" x 18"; Firebox size: 30" x 30" x 30" with a 24" pipe inside it.
@@fikscue thank you sir!
@@bigdawgsbbq2737 Anytime man
Are you doing a lot of catering? Is catering your full time gig? If so, I'd love a video how you handled transitioning from 9 to 5 to catering.
Yes and Yea. Short answer: Not easy. Taking a big ass pay cut, but the reward is 100x my 9-to-5. Video in the works!
Other than obvious size, how would you compare the quality between MS and Phil?
Mill Scale is better in overall quality. But then again, they are built 2 years apart and these builders always improve their crafts. I should do a head-to-head comparison on them soon.
Did you get rid of the 250 ?
Still got it and being used regularly.
@@fikscue right on dude !
Congrats on the smoker!! Did you get top racks?
Thank you! I did. They only offer it on the stack side.
@@fikscue ok I heard a lot of good things about that company smokers. Looking forward to seeing you use it!! Congrats again
You still keeping your 250 Big Phil?
Yessir. Cooking 6 briskets on it right now 😁
Congrats on the pit.
Need to get a mic to hear you better.
We do have an external mic on the camera, but definitely needs improvement. Hopefully soon. Thanks for the input and for watching!
was the brisket as good as yours, thats the question ?
Most definitely haha
Why didnt you go with Big Phil again? Nice pit.
Thanks! I wanted something with a higher firebox so it doesn't drag on my driveway
Are you going to sell the 250?
No, I'm keeping it.
Are you able to talk about price at all?
I did on the walkthrough video. Pls ck it out
should've gone for a 750gallon on a trailer!
750's are hard to come by. Plus Mill Scale only makes 500 & 1000.
Had to watch this again, loved it…finally picking up my FS500 Friday , I’ll tag you on IG so I can get you thoughts
Hey Brother, what city are you located in California? I am in the Bay!
Pittsburg. What about you?
@@fikscue Fremont /Newark area.
