Unfortunately many of the "criticisms" are simply blatant lies of commission and omission. I find it hard to believe that the man at Answering Adventism can really be doing honest research and repeatedly coming short of these quotes that disprove his chosen argument. He once quoted a fragment of an Ellen White statement to prove her false. When I sent him the full quote, which actually proved the exact opposite of what he claimed her to say, he replied that he would not even read it. (I am guessing he had to have read it though in order to determine it was unworthy of response).
I'm not sure why professed Christians think it ok to lie, but many apparently do. We need to pray for these people as we share truth with them.

It is little known that they may have been more steadfast then the Waldenses in keeping the sabbath and had a huge war when the Portuguese came over to take over their culture and religion and changing it to Catholic. The following should be regarded as the definitive SOP teaching on the subject at hand:
      .
      "Discussions Not to be Sought
      [From a Personal Testimony.]
      .
I was shown that here is the danger of young ministers who engage in discussion: They turn their minds to the study of the word to gather the sharp things, and they become sarcastic, and in their efforts to meet an opponent, too frequently leave God out of the question. The excitement of debate lessens their interest in meetings where this special excitement does not exist. Those who engage in debates are not the most successful laborers, and the best adapted to build up the cause. By some, discussion is coveted, and they prefer this kind of labor above any other. They do not study the Bible with humility of mind, that they may know how to attain the love of God; as Paul says, “That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.” [Ephesians 3:17-19.]
      .
Young preachers should avoid discussions; for they do not increase spirituality or humbleness of mind. In some cases it may be necessary to meet a proud boaster against the truth of God in open debate; but generally these discussions, either oral or written, result in more harm than good. After a discussion, the greater responsibility rests upon the minister to keep up the interest. He should beware of the reaction which is liable to take place after a religious excitement, and not yield to discouragement himself. ...
      .
Those who love to engage in discussion generally lose their spirituality. They do not trust in God as they should. They have the theory of the truth prepared to whip an opponent. The feelings of their own unsanctified hearts have prepared many sharp, close things to use as a snap to their whip to irritate and provoke their opponent. The spirit of Christ has no part in this. While furnished with conclusive arguments, the debater soon thinks that he is strong enough to triumph over his opponent, and God is left out of the matter. Some of our ministers have made discussion their principal business. When in the midst of the excitement raised by discussion, they seem nerved up, and feel strong and talk strong; and in the excitement many things pass with the people as all right, which in themselves are decidedly wrong, and a shame to him who was guilty of uttering words so unbecoming a Christian minister. ...
      .
Debating ministers are the most unreliable among us, because they cannot be depended upon when the work goes hard. Bring them into a place where there is but little interest, and they manifest a want of courage, zeal, and real interest. They depend as much upon being enlivened and invigorated by the excitement created by debate or opposition, as does the inebriate upon his dram. These ministers need to be converted anew. They need to drink deep of the unceasing streams which proceed from the eternal Rock....
      .
whenever discussions can be avoided, they should be; for the result is seldom honoring to God" Gospel Workers 1892.
      .
Please read the whole thing. Let's not be "the most unreliable among us" by debating.

My Dear presenter, please understand that we do not keep the seventh day sabbath be because the wildenses kept it but rather we obey the commandments of God. The scripture says ALL HIS commandments is truth: “Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. ”
    Psalms 119:151 KJV
ALL means including the seventh day sabbath commandment which states: “But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: ”
Exodus 20:10 KJV. We can not therefore choose anyother day, as James warns us:“For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all. ”
    James 2:10 KJV.
In fact it is by the commandments of God that we establish who is a fake Christian: “3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. 4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ”

I would venture to say that the Waldensian did not live and consider the days named in honor of the pagan gods, rather, considered the luminaries above to count the days by a biblical means month to month by new moon to new moon and the days 1 through 7, keeping every 7th in respect of Sabbath. Remember that they rejected every aspect of Rome including their trinitarian dogma. Therefore, one can reasonably conclude that they would reject the Gregorian calendar that the Vatican also created. So "Saturday" would not logically be a biblical day for Sabbath by reasonable thought.

The only and first time ever that Azazel is name of the angel was in the Book of Enoch, which is false book and it dated much after Moses but even there Azazel was not Satan. It looks like you all are doing hopscotch exegesis of these texts. All you do is jumping around giving us single one sentence quotes taken randomly without any context! Read us at least a paragraph or two at a time so we could at least know what the flip they're talking about in those quotes!
You can make someone say just about anything you want if you just look at one sentence or a portion of a sentence of what somebody said ripped straight out of context.
Every time Miles quotes anything he's either giving us the context or reading a larger portion of what's being said so we can understand the context of the quote ourselves. This rapid fire editing stuff that you're doing makes it sound like you've got a strong argument when you don't.
I started studying my way out of the Advent church many years ago, simply by reading the Bible in its context and trying to understand what the author was trying to say to the audience he was writing to. Once I studied my way out of the Sda Church I stumbled upon miles channel answering Adventism and he started to confirm my findings throughout scripture while adding clarity to more difficult doctrines/ideas.
The Adventist version of God is weak, horrible at communicating, not all that much more holy than we are, not all that good, not all that powerful to save people, and is not as in charge of the universe as Satan and humanity. This is why Adventism is false because it has a false distorted view of God, so even if Adventism was right about the sabbath they would still not be the true church because they the distort the gospel and Jesus.

      2. There was another work provided in the main presentation demonstrating hundreds of individuals in one account who were killed for keeping the sabbath. This included several pastors.
      3. The pasagaini were waldenses in the picardy region which if you paid closer attention to Heinrich Kramer's work and its title he even mentions those waldenses in the "picardy" region in the title of his work... 2:04
      4. Are you now accepting the Jesuits response? Will you do so when he admitted that his reasoning on
this etymology did not have the support of the literature of his day because these sources, he said, contained many errors?
      5. The actual confusion over shoes which influenced Gretser was Ebrardus work wherein he confuses the waldenses with followers of Durand who were poor catholics who dressed similarly to the waldenses and were called xabatenses (different word) which happened around 1208 but insabbatatis was already around in 1197 and 1192 and folks did not define insabbatatis as in regard to shoes but at the council of tarragon accused insabbatatis as rejecting ecclesiastical authority....Remember Kramer who identified that with the sabbath??
