*It's Pretty cool as the insta360 does this also but it's a Setting you can enable, but as long as ya have a 128GB microsd it makes it pretty simple. Nice Video and probably one of a Few Creators whom as shown this as a viable Option*
One day the technology will be good enough to read the license plates. You kind of need that if the car does not stop with you. The "general" overview of the footage looks great. You could easily prove fault if the accident is in front of you. Yes, Rock Steady settings for the win. Lastly, I wonder if using higher FPS would help with the clarity of the letters on plates and signs? Just curious. Thanks for your video.
Hi, I would like to ask you about cyclic recording. So, does this camera work like a regular DVR? That is, for example, a regular DVR records video on a memory card in a circle. For example, a 64 GB memory card is installed. And the DVR records video on this card until it reaches the point where the memory runs out. And after that, the DVR continues recording, but deletes the very first recordings. Thus, the card never runs out. And my question is - does the DJI Aktion 5 pro camera record the same way? Or only in certain segments of 5 or 10 or other segments, depending on the settings? Does the camera delete the very first recordings when the memory card is full? Or does the memory card just fill up with these segments until it runs out? And then you need to manually clear the memory card? Thank you for your answer
It will not delete files that have already been closed and ended that are on the memory card. It only overwrite the current recording IF you are using the Loop Recording function. If your memory card doesn't have enough storage to complete a full video of the pre-set loop length you have chosen, it will tell you it cannot record until you make space on the card. But it will not start deleting old videos on the card.
@@TheDroneDad Ok, thanks for the quick reply. So, unfortunately, this camera can't be used to its full potential as a DVR. Or, otherwise, you need to constantly monitor the recording process so as not to miss the moment when the memory card is full. Hmm, a bit of a pity. Or maybe you could recommend another option for the settings, with which the camera could be used as a video recorder (by bike) one way or another, without worrying about filling the memory card? Thanks in advance for your answer
do you have a polarize filter on? no dash reflection (hardly detectable) and the sky looks like there is one. I've got a windscreen suction mount for mine but have issues with the dash reflection
I noticed someone asked if it could be recording without the battery, plugged into usb. Will it work okay plugged into the usb c port in the car without the battery, or do you have to use a charging brick of some sort? Thanks.
Which one would you recommend for dashcam for car and motorcyle. Dji action 4 or insta360 ace pro?? The over heating is my biggest concern. If im driving for hours on end which one would be better option?
Is there a reason you want to stay with the Action 4 as opposed to the Action 5 Pro? Or the Ace Pro vs the newer Ace Pro 2? Maybe better savings, which I agree with. Between the 4 and the Ace Pro, I would go Action 4, personally. Overheating happens on it sometimes, but it usually keeps recording and disables the touch screen, unless it gets really hot.
Well i dont mind going to AP 2 or AC5. Mainly will be use as dash cam for car and weekend motorcyle ride. Mostly be capturing morning rush hour or evening rush hour. I need something that will be going running non-stop and good quality without being an issue for long time... i most likely will be going for dji 5 since its less than 200$ than AP2. Im just wondering if it will hold its value for a long time
@Angelo-qv9pq i think the Action 5 (or 4) would be great. I think Insta360 is using a lot of AI processing and that creates more heat so I could see overheating quicker than the Action. Depends how thick traffic is. If you're moving, the wind should be enough to cool it down but if you're stuck in traffic, it could overheat.
Just personal preference, really. I like them on the dash because if I need to push a button or something I can kinda rest my forearm on the dash so I can tap buttons more accurately. If that makes sense.
Very informative, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful footage
Thank you, I was waiting for a full vid as well.
Glad I could help! Let me know if there's anything else you wanna see that maybe I could help with!
Thanks for sharing Adam. It records nicely. Your choice of music was perfect for the footage. 😊, Mark
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the footage. Is it possible to remove the battery and plug in directly to usb power for continuous recording?
Absolutely! I DO that a lot now.

This camera will work well for you. I may not be explaining it well enough. But it sounds like this will work for what you and to do with it.
Bonjour peut-on la recharger pendant l utilisation ?
Peut on utiliser sans batterie ?
Oui. vous pouvez l'utiliser sans batterie lorsqu'il est branché sur un câble d'alimentation
do you pre clean the windshield? what about glare? i just wonder if it's sometimes not a good image from the insdie looking out thx
I do try to keep the windshield clean, but it actually does surprisingly well looking through it even if it is a little dirty.
@@TheDroneDad ever place your cam outside? i may want to do roadtrip with sounds vid
@rogerisold I sure do sometimes!

No filter on. Hardly ever have a problem with any reflections.
Thanks for the post. I don’t own one but want a dash cam. Any tricks to automate the recording? Maybe CarPlay automation?
No automation that I'm aware of. Would have to hit the record button when you get into the car.

I have mine plugged into the car through the "cigarette lighter", and it works just fine.
@@TheDroneDad Thank you. I'll give it a try.

Hello. Can it be charged while recording (driving)?
Yes it can!
Why not mount it on the windshield? Takes up less space

@@TheDroneDad it does but you don t really push the buttons that much :)
@gabytro yeah. Those touchscreens are tricky if you need to, though. But you're totally right. Hanging off the glass would be just as good an option.
