400r...most skyline fans dont really consider it one of the greats as mentioned but i like underdogs and to me being the first all out nismo product in the gtr family really makes it the OG in my opinion. (late edit) if we leave the hakosuka out of this then id say the 400r is the OG.
Friends racing r34. Simply an outstanding build! For depth of detail to these cars are produced people undersell the time, effort, R&D tunning it takes to make it drive flawless. When you take into consideration of everything, these cars are a bargain and pretty much run rings around any mordern day supercar.
thank you so much for not leaving the JDM guys out in the cold. I'd appreciate it if you could find some of the 80's JDM cars as well, because so many people get stuck in the 90's and stay there, like the GTRs and JZA80s.
Just as I was thinking this collection could do with a 400R it shows up on the screen in front of me. Great collection and would be really hard to choose one from all of them.
Unpopular opinion...as cool as GTRs are the prices are now just not worth the product, even the special ones are just not that special, just because it has a carbon oil cap and a gold cam cover does not make it special. Its just a nicely tuned GTR no more no less.
Nismo tax that's why, i do agree with you though, i have loved Japanese cars since the mid 90's but have started to loose interest due to the stupid prices they are now getting to, one of the biggest draws for me was the affordability for performance, the cars just aren't worth the prices people want for them these days
I think the price people are requesting is due to the nostalgia aspect for those of us from the 90s era, jdm tuning was the pinnacle and some people are willing to pay to own apart of that history. You have to just think of it as art at this point.
Why did you not feature the JUN super lemon?! haha just glossed over that one. What an amazing collection! Thanks for sharing. The auto select R33 is a gem, and why they sold smokey's drag r33 I will never know.
I still have a poster on my wall of that Sunline Racing R34. I remember watching a very early video of it taking lumps out of the Tsckuba track and setting record times...the noise out of it and its dump valves!!! Oh Lord. I would love to spend an hour or two looking/drooling around that showroom. Just a real pity you need to be a millionaire these days to get hold of the keys to some of the Skylines. For me, the ultimate R34, apart from the latest CRS cars and the Z-Tune, is the Mine's tuned cars. They are just next level altogether.
Fair play, Wookie, this style of upload rivals a Chris Harris or Harry warehouse walk around. Hearing you sharing your impressive knowledge was very enjoyable. More of these, please. 🙏
I would definitely have a small collection of some Skyline and GTR models! All stock looks, with minor mods/restomods to make them better. Nothing as extreme as those, but this is how I would build them!
The Top Secret R33 - I remember having the issue of Max Power with this and the Top Secret Supra as the feature. Both blew me away as a kid and that R33 is the reason why the 33 would be my choice of GTR.
@1:05 That's actually not true, the NACA duct on the hood is actually on all Vspec II models, not just the Nur. Also, that front bumper is not from the factory. That's the Nismo bumper that was sold by Nissan dealers as a dealer-installed part, and it was available on all GTR models.
I have been following their social media for years. Sadly for the seven years I was in the UK I always struggled with money and could not afford a proper JDM car. I now live in a country that is not very RHD friendly, and my LHD STI simply do not scratch my JDM itch well enough.
Personally, i loved the R33GT since i first saw one in Japan back in 1997. It's a bucket list car for me. I would love to get one and properly covert it to LHD. 💖💪🏆
I remember seeing the motive dvd r34 at sydney dragway at a gtr festival, i believe. It was chrome green then. Definetly looks much better as a midnight purple car now.
my favorite collection so far because back in their day this cars were obtainable unlike all the other collections iv seen here. dont get me wrong i would kill to have any of the collections topgear gear has done.
That is hard question what to take with me...Either CRS, sunline R 34 or that friends racing R 34...Hmmm, maybe that sunline, when there is special bodykit and love that look and high power engine
Just skipped right over the creme de la creme, the STP Taisan Group A R32. That car (to me) is the most valuable in the entire garage. I also thought HJA sold it a while back?
@@BySixa if many people did, these cars won’t be sitting in dealer lots like that. True premium occurs when there is lack of supply + overwhelming demand. These are what you call bubble inflation. Suppliers simply testing the market by randomly throwing high numbers. Sure you may get few suckers, but eventually these bubbles burst, as “most” people find better alternatives at $3-500k range.
@yooseemotoringchannel3357 i never said many people do. I said that people do. 99.9% are priced out of the GTR market. I'm also not deny that there is a premium and at dealers, sometimes they take a while to shift. Regardless, these prices have continued to rise and we regularly see 6 figure sales becoming the norm. My current importer brings 34 GTR's in on a very regular basis and the quantity of people in the UK (USA has higher disposable income so even more there) would blow you away. £150-250k budget is normal on a 34 GTR now a days and there's no shortage. When you buy an import car from a dealer the premium you are essentially paying is a dealer fee and also saving you the 3 4 months to bring a car in. In the price bracket these sit in, you're opening it up to the very wealthy who will happily pay a £10 15k premium for that service. For others, it makes more sense to buy from an import company to curate and find your perfect car
@kallekas8551 I can atest to this. I only own 90s JDM cars. The equivalent German car is worth half of what these are worth and be twice as much to maintain also
I never understood negative comments about suspensuon height followed by "even though it's on air ride". No one drives their car that low. That is only there to park. Once you go to leave their air up to a normal height
If I can afford one or two, I will get a standard Bayside Blue R34 (it's just beautiful and iconic), and a Mine's R34 (800hp version) like the one driven by Keichi Tsuciya. That's it.

Skyline GTR R33 for my own win👍

Buying a car that you have no idea about for over 100000 when you can buy better cars nowadays is crazy.
What determines price.. why is a Murcialago sv 1 million ?? Should be 200k.. your statement is by someone that wants one but can’t afford it..
I agree prices all round have become silly when these were £50k new- nothing makes it a £950,000 vehicle
