    In this brand new series I go back to Fukushima (Japan) with Frederik to visit the nuclear exclusion zone and show you how this zone looks today and we explore the last abandoned buildings.
    In this episode I show you all the abandoned JDM cars and sports cars I came across in the exclusion zone over the years like a Porsche 911 Carrera type 964, Nissan Skyline, Mercedes S Class, Nissan 300ZX, Nissan Silvia, Japanese hearse cars, Chevrolet Impala SS, Jaguar XJ, Honda S2000, Mitsubishu Lancer Evolution, Subaru STI and much much more !

    Seeing that 26k mile s13 blew me away. Especially when it’s pretty common now to see 300k+ mile shells selling for 5k in the states. It breaks my heart to hear that gems like that are just going to be crushed.

    • @matejstavinoha3399
      @matejstavinoha3399 9 месяцев назад +5

      In Japan they use metric system, so it will be 27k km S13.. That’s about 17k miles.. Which makes it even worse.

    • @clxbsport
      @clxbsport 7 месяцев назад +7

      the gauges were in MPH, it was LHD, and it was a 240SX - not a 180SX as it would've been in Japan. so it was indeed 26k miles.
      though honestly, who was batshit insane enough to import the US version of a car that was plentiful in Japan?

  • @Mike500
    @Mike500 Год назад +721

    Around Chernobyl, for years after the disaster, ruthless people broke into a lot of buildings and stripped everything of value. For example they took all the radiators from the buildings, loaded them onto trucks, and sold them elsewhere as normal scrap metal. They did the same with devices, cables, everything you can think of. And in Japan they leave all the nice cars standing there untouched. Really shows you the different mentality of the people, respect for property, and common sense not to mess with radioactive stuff.

      Майк, дело не в менталитете, а в повальной бедности восточной Европы. В Японии хоть законы действуют, развивается наука, медицина и производство. А в период после СССР были только руины и масса людей, приученных к социализму, голодных до роскоши капитализма. У людей не было национальных идей, целей. По этому народ разбрёлся кто куда: Одни металл срезать, другие сникерсами торговать в ларьках, третьи воровать у первых двух из налогов. В Америке - национальная ценность - свобода и неприкосновенность личности, а в постсоветской России и странах СНГ ещё крепостничество, без идей. Прошу прощения, что по-русски написал. Словарный запас английского не такой большой)

    The fire engine; I don't know if this is the one used by first responders who arrived at the Daichi Fukushima Power plant only to realize the disaster was already underway- two fire fighters suited up and drove a pumper close enough to one of the buildings with a failed generator and began streaming water into the reactor pools to try to cool it down. Those heroes died less than a year later, IIRC. Over a third of Japan's fishing fleet died that day too. FR
