In this brand new series I go back to Fukushima (Japan) with Frederik to visit the nuclear exclusion zone and show you how this zone looks today and we explore the last abandoned buildings before everything is demolished.
In this episode I check a potential looking store in the late evening and we return later to film.
It turns out be some kind of construction store with many expensive items.

You love that place, do you?
@@SolidCoreBlack You mean Fukushima?
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath yes.
Well, traveled half the world to get there, so it would make no sense to stay a day and go back. But I noticed people are satiated with this serie, so gonna take a break with Fukushima and show other stuff.
Sounds like a shill site for nuke energy scum.
So many items that could still be put to use, maybe donated to school’s work shop or ppl who are working at facilities. Wow
Thanks, in a way I'm glad stuff gets stolen at least hopefully someone is using the stuff rather than it getting destroyed
I remember seeing a documentary a few months after this happened that there were people going around feeding abandoned pets. Radioactivity and all. People had to leave so quickly that pets got left sadly. Awesome shop. Take care guys.
これは不法侵入じゃないの
50yrs ago; What use to be Woolworth General Stores etc in the States. This reminds me of what you are exploring. General Stores carried a little bit of everything. The way Japan culture is set up is like general stores... Mom&Pop... Also can remember KMart use to carry paneling & other wood, it was fazed out late 1970's. Now KMart is no longer. I remember some 5&10 stores that carried more stuff over the yrs before going under.
Now they’re going to Walmart our banks
Sears had a lot of things
@@Zenith_V SEARS, that was a long time ago in there hay day they use to have everything. its where we bought our 250ft of chain link fencing in 1983 LOL!
Hi Bob. Thank you for for your time and effort and sharing this video. Much appreciated. 🙂👍💖
As always guys great video think its strange that all those items have been left there for that time baring the thieves.... again keep safe and great video.
Another great video Bob 👍
Just awesomely wicked neat, you getting to risk it all and be adventurous and exploring the same time. Just a thrilling experience I could imagine in person. I look forward everytime you post. And I just love your soothing accent Mr handsome ❤❤
Apocalyptic scenes are very interesting, thanks for sharing this one.
Great Video, as allways 👍
Looking forward to whatever else you've got in store for us next week!
Another awesome video Bob! Thank you for all your hard work!!
Bob, I love all your video edits and the great ambient sounds added throughout your videos. The Fukushima series was great 👍
Always enjoy your new videos :)
Good to hear mate!
This Fukushima incident looks way over blown. All these products etc should probably be fine as we can see from the meter, no extra radiation in store. What a waste.
Now they don't have any radiation after 12 years....
awesome video bob
Thanks for joining the premiere!
Awesome location and video again Bob! Would be something if you would infiltrate with those coveralls 🤣
Great explore, again, Bob! Thanks for sharing your experience!
Japan definitely has some amazing explores!
Thanks Mark! Yes I’ve been there a bunch of times. Unique locations throughout the whole country!
Thank you for sharing this🏚 Be safe in your travels❤
Guess they needed a long time too break open that vault wit those tools, great explore again thnx.
Yup. I wonder if the vault still had the money in it!😳
Your narration voice is great love it MR.BOB
Could it be the food inside the cans started rotting and the pression of the build-up gasses caused the to pop open?
So the Kantenmaaier, formally in English is called a 'string trimmer' but most people use the term 'weed whacker'
Thanks for the fascinating video!
Us Aussies call it a whipper snipper😂

12:20 look at that radioactive dust.
I'm glad to see this series still going!!
Parádní video.Tato série o Fukušimě je super👍🙂
Thanks! Glad you like it Jan🙂
Holy shit. Look at the amount of force the thieves exerted on that safe! If there weren’t crowbars nearby, I’d have guessed they’d used jaws of life!
Basically a Japanese 'Canadian Tire '. 'Canadian Tire ' tires and so much more. S o glad I found these videos.
i love the adventures its be very cool
I’m from the uk, I don’t know of any shop here where you could buy everything that this shop has, I bet they would have been very busy as they sell most things in one place.
Those types of stores are very common in the states. They're usually called superstores and they're a hell of a lot bigger than the one you're exploring.
And so?
they visited a huge superstore in the exclusion zone back in one of their 2019 videos
@@mrmillsart Yes, thaty was a massive one! Well remembered!
You compensating?
Sounds like you have a small one
I wouldn't say I am glad to see that even in Japan are looters but it shows that thieves are everywhere and Japan is no exception. Very interesting shop.
Ah well, if this occurred anywhere else in the world the stores would’ve been looted in a few days. We’re talking about 12 years here😁 It’s pretty crazy
I am suprised a smart thief has not hauled off the smaller tools and sold them on some place like ebey.
Já deixado meu like 👍🏻😃👏 ótimo..
So how long and why the store is like that it's crazy btw great video bro
Thanks mate! Here you find all info: Returning to Fukushima, a journey through the nuclear exclusion zone

My heart is being to understand how much a nice quality instrument will scrap to metal.😢
So surprising that these stores are just left as they are so much stuff left behind 😮
The cost of going in and decontamination, not surprising at all. Lol
@@ZachCarr1991 hehe true 🤪
more awesome Urb-Ex from Bob and Co - masters of the genre.
Очень плохо что не показали сколько там радиации .
Только мельком .
Да и дозиметр очень простой.
FNIRSI GC-01
Кстати,для России дозиметр FNIRSI GC-01,на 21.05.2023 год стоит на алиэкспрессе 3953.38 рублей .
My first move during a zombie apocalypse would be a Lowes or home Depot run. They never use power tools on the walking dead, just hammers and hand saws. I'd be like a kid in a candy shop
Good one haha😂👌
I’ll be right there with ya, grocery stores will become packed with panicking buyers who will inevitably become infected, godda get onto that 0 turn with mounted chainsaws and skill saws.
Power tools are too noisy. It would make the situation worse. You’d be the first one to go.
Great video Bob now check out the liquor store and gun shop🤣.
K mann, check my channel. In the episode of week we explored a supermarket with a lot of booze. Next week an expensive tailor store🤗
Another great video, Bob. Thanks! 4:40 Maybe the thieves opened the cans so the boars could eat. 5:04 When I lived in Japan that was called a DIY (do it yourself) store - basically, stores for tradesmen or construction workers. Like what we call a hardware store in the US. The most popular one where I lived was called Sunday. 16:36 Because the wife says, if you're there buying sandpaper, make sure to bring home some diapers!
They have everything available, for the consumer just like a "Costco" Store. (I think I spelled it right)
Wow.
I'd have worn a respirator inside and out, for radiation and molds from all that spoiled food
Respirator does nothing for radiation. Mold yes.
@@DVincentW That radiation isn't coming from the powerplant miles away- it's coming from particles spread all over the area. Alpha emitter particles are harmless...unless they get inside your body, such as through inhalation. Then they cause serious damage.
Be careful stirring up dust. 1 small spec of radioactive dust in your lungs can cause cancer.
My grand dad worked in a furnace room of a now closed Hospital and all of the pipes were coated in Asbestos. He ended up getting cancer which spread throughout most of his major organs. He did not make it to retirement age. 😢
Sorry for your loss. But asbestos is not radioactive, it's a completely different mechanism than with radioactive particles.
Thanks E Rock... Sorry for your loss! I walked inside a lot of asbestos infected places, but I can't turn back time unfortunately.
I wonder if they try to rescue intact tools and stuff before demolition of the stores ....
It should not be that hard to check l
If stuff is radioactive.
All those nice draw saws...for example... but I guess they are rusted doe...
To be honest I don't know much about radiation, but that stuff should've been packed up and taken out of that store to be sold and not just left to go to waste. I understand leaving food items behind in fear of radiation poisoning, but hardware items and regular household items are a completely different story. They should've came back there to pack up all of the stores in that town the very moment they knew they were not going to ever return again. I hate seeing this waste, it's truly disgusting to look at, but at the same time it's fascinating to see what happens to things left abandoned for years.
That’s the thing about radiation they can’t because even a small particle can do damage if you are prolonged to it
Merci.
Thanks for checking
Good 👍
Thanks a lot🤗
12:14 can see all the dust u are breathing in there ....look at the torchlight
All kinds of stuff in that store that could help people that is perfectly fine however will ultimately be thrown away.
Yeah I wouldn't touch those.
Very odd store.
Looks like you need some camouflage. All I can say "Be Careful " and lots of luck. I enjoy watching you.
With camouflage we show we have bad intentions. Sometimes you have to play the “dumb tourist”.
Jesus that safe lol 🤣
I could imagine that the contents of the cans rotted, formed gases and blew up the lids 😱
Things don't rot in cans, that's the whole point of a can.
@@millsy1861 After years and years they do, or do you think that rats have opened the cans?
@@jochemb.1748No, someone has opened them obviously. Someone probably living in the store for a while
The lids on the cat food probably popped when the food went bad .
Good one!☺️ thanks for the info
Will all of those items be thrown out and not recovered, that’s a lot of money in products.
This video just randomly appears on my viewing platform. Did this originally happen from an earthquake ?
Earthquake yes.. and then a nuclear fallout. I explain this in another episode😌
If people ain't worried about the radioactive items when they go here, I don't know why they
Wouldn't take them away instead of leaving it all to be disposed off.
Alle producten aan haakjes hangen allemaal voor aan. Komt dat door de aardbeving? 😮
a bush cutter would be a strimmer!
Ah well learned something new today
Raccoons probably figured out how to pull the tabs open on all the cans.
I've never seen orange Ryobi tools in the US, always green
They were blue in the early 200s before they switched to green in the US.
Word dit binnenkort gesloopt?

Could alot of the mess be from the earthquake itself first? Then looters/ animals etc? 🤔
Yes Jessica, some parts of the exclusion zone endured the earthquake more than others, so the condition of the stores vary a lot. Here the mess is probably also because of the earthquake. Thanks for checking again🙂
When was these abandoned?
March 11th 2011 when the disaster occured.
This would be called a "hardware store" rather than a "construction store".
Thanks!🙏 I’ll change it
@@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath OK, wow. I really just meant it for future reference. But OK.
those cans may be opened by black bears
Hardware/Variety Store or General Store in the US.
I’d go to a pharmacy

Didnt those cans had pull tabs ? Animals would figure how to open it then.
You still need quite some strength to do that I would say😳
I want to steal every tool
Will anyone ever be able to come back and live in these place n our lifetimes?
Scientist have found they should have been reoccupied immediately.
It’s pretty much a action store
Bob so long as you are alright that all that matters:)
You have to find spots untouched more often.
From Craig. GBR. Japan's a crazy one especially radiation challenges. How do you feel going there. Instead of COVID tests at airports maybe nuclear poisoning tests would be great;) Got the glow!
gee...just think , once us humans are gone the animals will survive awhile and the stuff we leave behind will eventually rot away ....
This types of non-performing assets can be put back to performing assets, since the materials and inventory reports is as accurate back a decade, it can also be put into reconciliation of assets, inventories as well as taxes credit, designed for the businesses to perform from non-performing. Expensive items can be reconciled as under warranty support for added protection for businesses, apart from TAX CREDIT and ASSETS inventories. DON'T DELETE, this is IMPORTANT. Thank you.
You call them thieves.
Did it come to your mind it could be the owner.
Or in the worst case, locals who lost everything due to the event.
Or just poor people that can't buy a product they need and see no other option than taking something thats going to be garbage anyway.
Even when it is not theirs to take, someone probably "aquired" this or that for some reason.
Thieves are like locust.... As long there is something to get, they will come back.
