    I'm posting the last Fukushima episodes and in today we explore around the former nuclear exclusion zone around Fukushima in Japan and explore some more Pachinko parlors, which is extremely popular in Japan. It's a mix of Pinball and Slot Machines. Some sad remains of the terrible disaster, which occured on March 11th, 2011.

      @@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath I did been watching them all. I really enjoy the Japan content to just showcase how the culture is and how respectful of things they are. Also I will be making a trip to japan in 2024 to go to Ebisu to do some racing for an 11day trip.

    Bob unbelievable seems like such a small word to use for this catastrophe! Where in the world is Japan putting all this waste! The islands are so small and all of this plastic, machinery and building material has to be properly contained! Shocking but another great video Bob!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮😮

    I'm 55 now and I remember when I was a kid that they tried to bring Pachinco to the states but they started as children game and never really went past that but from what I've seen it is possibly bigger than slot machines are here! I've always wanted one!😁😉

      @@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath The machine is a old wooden one I bought at a antique store, had never seen one before. It came with no balls but found some on ebay, think they were used ones from Japan.

    I'm Japanese. Next time you come to Fukushima, a difficult-to-return area, it would be a good idea to go to a cell phone shop or an electronics store. It's possible that miraculously there will be unopened iPhones, iPads, iPod touches, and various other expensive items left. sexual

      This type of building is nothing new for Japan. There is over 10 Million abandoned buildings across that tiny island, not vacant but actually left behind and abandoned.

    How were they able to repopulate the zone so fast? Wasn't much radiation released in the disaster?

      Yes! I was also astonished by it because some red zones were so contaminated that it would never be repopulated

      In Japan, people do not steal. You can leave your bike unlocked and your computer unattended. My son dropped his wallet and when he went back 30 minutes later, it was still there.
      I hope you left everything as you found it too.

      Depends on the area. On earlier visits we went a lot on red zones and probably inhaled some radioactive dust. But overall… you need a lot of radiation exposure to notice some health effects.       ​@DjBrayn123 because the place had to be evacuated quickly and noone was allowed to return for a long time. Noone allowed there means noone was allowed to collect anything. Now it's just been so long that nothing is salvageable, and was written off long ago.

      Definitely not, there’s cameras everywhere and they would know if you sneak balls in from other parlors. However, the balls work in every machine universally.
