In this episode I'm in Hungary with Eelco, Estie and Andrea.
I already explored in Hungary recently, but went back for a reason.
An intact cold war bunker including a hospital. It's one of the best bunkers I've seen.
Actually these are BGS bunkers / shelters. This is a big square concrete block above the ground that protect against (B) bombs, (G) gas and (S)schrapnel. You can find this kind of facilities all over Hungary and they protected civilians and workers in case of a nuclear attack or war.

i am prince hehe
it eas very intresting and im learning a lot about the history thank you
I love how these kinds of videos but please stop touching stuff that hasn't been touched in 100yrs 😢
Abandoned for decades, fully stocked, untouched and natural decay! This was an epic location!!! Hard to find any better locations 😁👊🏻🔥🔥🔥
Thanks mate!
I guess the viewer wants to see something right? @@ProgNoizesB
My brain was exploding with wonder at the sheer enormity of unbelievably great finds, until i saw the reel of audio tape. I'd give literally anything to hear what's on that. I'm sure it's absolutely mundane notes about medical things or whatever, but still, it would be a piece of history. If I were there I'd borrow it, copy the contents of the tape and return it, if that's not being at all unethical as an explorer. I do believe we owe it to history to preserve such things, no matter how 'boring' they might be.
Mind boggling exploration there - great work there, lads and lasses!
exactly. i would borrow it also :)
Im quite amazed that there are a lot of bunkers left behind and unrecorded. I mean , that there is not a official track of how many were built and the equipment not used for a long period of time.
these places are like in an apocalyptic video game that you need to get through, wow that's incredible
its great to see all of you together again, great the ladies translated and helped to record items found for this episode.
Fantastic find. I am impressed how respectful you are in not removing or disturbing any of the items you filmed. A remarkable time capsule
Not disturbing? they broke stuff and put it back in the same area!
They touched every thing they could see... very sad.
doesn't matter, its all gonna disappear soon anyways i would love to buy that area and repair it maybe turn it into museum
What you on about? The most annoying part of this video was him touching and fucking around with EVERYTHING
you might want to invest in nitrile gloves to protect yourself from contamination.
For some reason, what I'm thinking about is that people went to work and somebody made those first aid bags, someone made the kit inside them.... Somebody packed the bags. Somebody stocked them. Etc. Etc. Somebody hated taking inventory of them. You know. Now they sit there forgotten. I wonder if anyone watching this is ever like "oh, yeah! Hey, I stocked those! Hey, grandkids! Come look!"
Brilliant explore, thanks, the most grimly authentic cold-war museum. Imagine being each room's pump-operator. Don't stop now, bro ! That person would be well-fed
Incredible find, so much history there. But goodness guys, gloves and masks - you are touching a breathing so many contaminated things.
In the surgery that you found, that bed is used specifically for delivering babies, the stirrups and straps, the hole in the centre the 2 sections that separate in the leg section. I think the metal brackets across the room @33:00 would have had some type of large basin/bath and been used as a cradle, also to wash/clean the baby, there's a wash bowl connected to it.
11:40 - Iodine tablets will block the absorption of radioactive iodine by the thyroid gland and reduce the risk of you contracting cancer of the thyroid gland. The idea is that you flood the thyroid with 'clean' iodine so the contaminated one does not get taken up by the thyroid as it is already 'full'. Only works against radioactive iodine though.
I love watching these bunker videos. Just imagine everything that went down there.
21:50 Andrea "it's not safe" Bob "You just show your balls"
This film is amazing...something I would never get the opportunity see...thank you for sharing!!!...truly amazing!!
Awesome - definitely one of the best you’ve done , the ladies really helped with showing what’s left behind with their translations, big thanks to the young ladies in this episode , I’m glad they enjoyed the explore aswell . Really well done Bob and the team .
Thanks for checking out mate!😄
@ExploringtheUnbeatenPath please respect these time capsules and stop touching everything you can
@@El_calzonedude the place is rotting apart.
😂
😂
2:37... Acea pelerină este un P.A.I pachet antichimic individual...și da ... era folosită cu succes și ca pelerină de ploaie!. 😉👍
Fascinating. We used to play in abandoned factories and churches etc when I was a kid. Probably dangerous but we didn't think about that. Love your videos.
Nice to see the whole explore gang together!
19 Grade oil standard is for vacuum pumps and regular use.
Why are you all not wearing masks? You understand this is most likely the way the zombie apocalypse began. Love your videos. Maradj Biztonsagban.
Another great video Bob love seeing these old abandoned bunkers awesome to see what's left behind.
Absolutely Amazing, Well Done, Thanks for sharing the experience !! 👍 👍
It’s cool to think about that men actually built all that I mean the doors the walls everything the engineering, just mind boggling , and once full of people.
Epic episode baab. Great find. My compliments to andrea and eszter for the research
Really awesome place..tons of staff, love your humor sense..cool
Excellent coverage, gives a very good insight of the early Cold War era, also good explanation by all of you, Thanks.
You are the only channel to find such places! Great Job 👏🏻 😊 Amazing video!
That was an amazing bunker exploration !
Wow, That place must be really hidden away. All that gear still left there.
I think the octopus thing at 8:49 may have been part of a Mercury vapour rectifier used to change high voltage AC power to DC. Similar things were used on the London Underground trains which run on 600v DC. And then I played the next part of the video and you said exactly that :)
It is exactly that. We have these in older short wave and am transmitter.
It can rectify over 200A and the tube is ignited via a pin, that is lowered into the mercury pool with the help of a magnet. The tube should not overheat, because if so, there would be to much mercury vapor inside and it would backfire, therefore there would be no rectifier effect. Because of that, you can often see a fan that cools the tube down.
The company I work for used high voltage mercury arc valves to convert 230,000VAC to 500,000VDC to transmit power long distances to covert it back to AC. 1960's technology that was phased out in the 80's and replaced with solid state thyristors. Cool to see a small scale mercury arc valve
Great episode Bob adding the info on who helped you was good it makes it more interesting with some behind the scenes. Keep up the exploring and stay well Bob.
every video of this channel is gold, priceless!
Thanks! With even more epic stuff coming up🤫 coming online end of the year.
Amazing episode!Thanks from Hungary!😊
Wow Rob, very cool. The amount of mold on those boxes was epic. But I bet the stuff on the inside would have been in good shape. Too bad there was so much mold. Would have been a real time capsule. Thanks for the great explore.
Thanks mate!
Very cool and a great find. Another great episode! Thanks!
A amazing find again and a lot too see, loved watching it thnx Bob.
WoW what a find, what an explore. Everything just rotting away through time 😮👍
Super materiał,dobrze się oglądało 👍Dziewczyny słabo ubrane na explorację,zadbaj o nie 😁👊Pozdrawienia z Polski dla całej ekipy 🇵🇱👍
What a Gem to find a place in such untouched condition.
Wow! What a bunker! Thanks everyone!
Exceptional find! Great video!
What a find, absolutely incredible!
I'm glad you are exploring with this guy again. He reminds me of Murr from impractical jokers.
Hey Bob, are all 4 of you of German heritage ? Everyone seems to speak English so effortlessly. No hesitation or reverting back to your native language in conversation during the exploration. Its an interesting and admirable ability from someone such as myself who has a hard enough time with just one language. I am envious
A very fascinating explore! I hope everything is well with you! You're all so funny😹
its really cool to see a place that hasn't be all scrapped out
Yes! You can find more like these on my channel😇
Blijft mooi om te zien 🙂
En altijd fijn als je iemand kent die de dingen kan vertalen..
Altijd fijn inderdaad! Google translate gaat niet zo lekker op die verweerde textures :)
Wow . if it were in Russia, it would have already been taken away for scrap metal and Khabar. I can't get my head around how the locals still haven't taken it away, because gas masks are right at the entrance. I saw a lot of rare things that are very difficult to find like a half mask from a KI-3 inhaler (I have been looking for 1.5 years and have not found it) a chemical protection suit based on ZK-1, which I have been looking for for 3 years. and at the moment when they entered the room with eo-14 (rooms with filters) I Ahuel, we had a bomb shelter in Moscow where there were about 120 such filters, everyone wanted to take them out, but not everyone managed to pick them up. and here it’s just that there are 100+ pieces in the room, I don’t understand how it costs everything and no one loots it.
reminds me of a miniature version of the Hospital In the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum (Sziklakórház Atombunker Múzeum) In Budapest.
8:47 Mercury Arc Rectifier. Very rare. I am wanting to buy one. super cool.
But if you buy one, you should be careful, the tube can implode and spill 100ml of mercury everywhere. Could be dangerous if you not handle it right.
Thank you for the video from Italy ! :)
Absolutely fantastic find. TY for treating it with respect. Is it typical for shelters to be above ground? Is that unique to Hungary? Since the focus seems to be on radiation and gas, was there no expectation of "regular" bombs or rockets? TY again. An absolutely fantastic video. The condition of some the items was impressive, like the winter jackets. Keep well.
Very interesting exploration! May I suggest that you have gloves on before touching some of those things, the mold spores could be a issue breathing them in ect.... Watching in Texas and enjoying your video!
Yeah using a respirator in one of these places is recommended...
Great video! I note how extensively the iron has rusted since 1952, and, that we're still using iron in our buildings, bridges and vehicles. Such waste we leave behind, as if nature will clean it all up.
that was the most amazing find since the soviet shuttle tour i think.
Were these bunkers ever manned and lived in or were they empty but stocked and ready to go if they were bombed?
Bobby weer een geweldige locatie , 👍👍
Hi im new here thou i am doing my project do to my blood line. Thank you for this explore i really am blown away from this bunker with items still together. New Sub Barbara from USA FL.
I think I would love to be on the expedition, you all have a good time together.
It really looks like no one has been there for 60 years. It is particularly strange that a high bunker is under water like this, as if it were under the surface of the earth.
wow what a useful place to know in such times
You are in Hungary! 🥰
The thing at 8:50 is called a mercury arc rectifier
Amazing episode 👌🏼😎
Very cool, thanks for sharing.
Very cool , great job! So interesting. Watching from North Carolina USA .
Greetings from America , your videos are great thanks
Cheers from The Netherlands! I explored a lot in the USA too. A few of those adventures you can find on this channel.
Wow,what an excellent explore..thanks for sharing..
Thanks a lot Kim!
A true time capsule nice find kudos
Thanks Gilbert!
Excellent Excellent Excellent video guys!👏👏👏👏👏👏
Question, why is it forbidden for the beds to touch the walls?
the filter cans you seen at the end looked like oxygen generators we used in the US Navy back in the day for the OBA but they were not US made good job be safe
Andrea ❤
All that stuff is uncannily old and has been rotting and rusting in that damp atmosphere for longer than most viewers of this video have been alive! A considerable part was admittedly in poor shape, but after such crazy amount of time, it could certainly be worse. Amazing time capsule.
😵😱 awesome
Thank you for this urbex
what a spectacular find
Why can't things like this be repurposed and used it's such a shame it's just sat there crumbling.❤️
Bro, that was f*ckin sick! Exactly the type of place I keep looking for. Not sure if they even exist here.
Legközelebb szoljatok ha itt magyarorszagon lesztek....birom en is az ilyent ;) tolmácsok már vannak ;)
Fantastic place, it's amazing how much was left! 🙌🏻
But!!! Leave things alone! In this clip, far too many fragile things were lifted up and fell apart for my taste!
Well.. time did it’s work here😞 Saving is not an option anyway. Thanks for checking out!
Muito bom ,só faltou a máscara de proteção 👍
Great vid mate, good to see Eelco back 👍
Very cool exploring
those are not raincoats but part of the soviet chemical weapon protection suit named OZK OP1M
Thanks for the info. When you think about it, it’s ofcourse obvious but some things slip through your mind😄
Ja deixado meu like 👍🏻😃 ótimo vídeo... Top demais mesmo 😃 gostei 😊
Good work as per usual homie 👍
Thanks a million for checking out!
That was a good video footage!
This is absolutely amazing
Thanks for checking out!😇
EELCO! The gang's all back!
Awsome place! In the deeper storage room with the boots etc. the bottle like metal canisters wherent oil canisters. The are Filters fpr the gasmasks aswell. Older type
Okay later in the vid, you guys found out already:) Great stuff tho. Very sweet find

Should be a museum
Exploring the Unbeaten Path
The spider she found at (30:08) it's from family "Leptonetidae" those are small spiders adapted to life in dark and damp areas, especially in the caves.
Ooo thanks for the info!!😎😎
