- In todays video we explore this $80,000,000 glass mansion by the name of the Evergreen crystal palace. This place was built to be a family Lakehouse for the Plaster family. In 1990 Mr. Plaster built this home completely out of glass, green marble, and brass. It is forsale right now and it comes with 300 acres, a boat dock, helicopter pad, and much more.

This house has all the charm & warmth of a shopping mall.
Right?! The whole thing looks like a mall
@@dreboogs I thought it was some sort of corporate headquarters. It definitely doesn't feel like "home".
I was thinking the same thing.
Seriously. 80M? Pffffft! Lol....I cannot even imagine how much it would cost to renovate to even look remotely cool. What a waste of space. That kind of space and the money put into building this eyesore had so much potential. Smh.
😅 exactly! I know malls that are more comfortable.
The outside of this mansion looks like every insurance building built since 2000.
So does the inside.
My thoughts exactly. It's like some 80's office complex. You'd think he's make more homie and inviting looking ..for 80 mil.
So true, but the inside is amazing.
Lol. Spot On. Hahahaha
Hideous. Looks like a building on the Microsoft Campus.

This is more like a resort hotel than a home!! It's beautiful, but hard to even imagine a family living there.
A home wouldn't have separate Men's or Ladies rooms.
Perfect for an owner occupied airbnb. Views are beautiful!
It was made to be his home and a retreat for his employees of the company he owned.

@@stellviahohenheim with all that carpeting, I don't think so lol
I've always wondered what it's like to live in a huge office building all to myself.
I used to work in a faction of Dupont. 7 days and 7 nights a month, 12 hours per shift. On the night shifts, once I was a team lead and not directly in a process, my favorite thing to do was wander the office buildings. It's 10/10 true that if you have a clipboard & just say you're looking for a copier no one looks twice.

The time capsules are amazing for me because it shows the dude was building a monument that he assumed would stay occupied for over 100 years.
I wonder what his plans for it were.
I wouldnt even bother opening his time capsule, the contents would be him going on about how great he was...
When you take “work from home” as seriously as a heart attack. How could you ever relax in this place?! It looks identical to an office building.
You are right you can't relax here the interior design and furnishings totally suck
it’s obviously not a house, it’s a place to bring people.
I could relax. And run down the long hallway in my socks. And walk to the water. And feed the seabirds. And read a wonderful book...
My sentiments exactly. It looks like an industrial complex .
You could make a Suite more accommodating if you needed to. It’s also very serene and beautiful.
"would you rather live in a hotel, mall, or office building?"

Love how respectful these guys are of the property. Literally keeping their voice down even though nobody’s there :)
No that’s not respectful, they are being over dramatic and the added heavy breathing made it just about unwatchable.
Seca and cameras all over the place though.
If it was a normal unmonitered abandoned site, most New Wave Urbex smashcrews would been busting up crap like there's no tomorrow.
All conveiently off camera, of course!
And not touching anything! That would of been my challenge lol
You didn't hear the parts where the guys were doing construction on it? There's like three times you can hear them using power tools or something 💯
There's an eyes wide shut party happening in the basement
Am I the only one who gets the same sick dark vibe from people who have a lot of money? These mansions always have such a depressing energy. I would rather live in a cozy little cabin in the mountains on a big property than in a mansion. Even if I win the lottery I don’t want one.
I couldn't live in a place like this. Every little sound would creep me out at night.
I see it EVERGREEN
Maybe it's the late 80's and early 90's dentist/doctors waiting room vibes that give you a sickly feeling of painful memories and the faint smell of anaesthetics. I agree though, a huge log cabin would feel way cozier and suit the area more. The more money you have the less style you seem to possess also.
This mansion is so big you can take a vacation on the other side of the house!

I hope Mr. Plaster doesn't throw stones.
The reason for all the lavish bedrooms, office space and kitchens is because it wasnt really just a house. But rather an extension of the company itself. Robert Plaster was known for holding rather lavish corporate retreats and events there. Even allowed some of his most trusted employees to work out of there as a sort of vacation. The colors of the place are totally insane and were intended to match the logos of Empire Gas, his business he built from the ground up. The reason for the property's downfall was his failed attempt to turn the grounds into an incorporated community which was against state law, and his death. You guys are very lucky to get to see the inside I have always wondered myself what it looked like. Thanks for the video.
