Tentacles for Arms is pretty terrible but I love the pun in the card text: "Return this to your hand." Get it? The tentacles your arms got transformed into return into hands/arms when the weapon breaks :)Also I really hope that the card at least has some cool animation when it gets played and/or triggers the deathrattle.
Blizzard has said that the "Wherever it is" text applies to the players hero. So if C'thun was summoned off say sneed's it would still receive any buffs that occured before.
I'm hopeful for N'Zoth priest. If how it works is anything like Resurrect or Kel'Thuzad's hero power in the last brawl, we could put a single minion into the graveyard multiple times and then summon multiples of it with N'Zoth. Herald Volazj makes a 1/1 and when that dies, it will add another count of that card to N'Zoth's pool. Resurrect from Blackrock would have the same effect, but would be less reliable. Theoretically, this makes 4 counts of a single minion (6 if you play Faceless Manipulator) to be summoned by N'Zoth. Imagine a board of 6 Sylvannas.
+Curtis Haley I thought you were joking. No, no you weren't. This is fucking hilarious. Link for anyone who wants to see Ragnaros Lightlord 8/8 Heal 8 au.ign.com/articles/2016/03/28/ign-reveals-a-new-legendary-hearthstone-card

+Ghaz3k I think you might be right, I was thinking the same. Sludge Belcher reads "Summon a 1/2 Slime with Taunt" - and the Infested Tauren reads "Summon a 2/2 Slime", which I would have thought if having similar mechanics to Sludge Belcher would also include "Taunt" in the text.

Ragnaros- 8/8 (Deals 8 damage to a random enemy at the end of your turn) Kel'Thuzad - 6/8 (Revives Your Fallen Minions at the "End of Each Turn") Gruul- 7/7 (Gains +1/+1 at the end of your turn) All 3 of these are great/good 8 drops in Arena, usually depending on the board. +Pieter Hulsen no because the card itself doesn't have death rattle it just gains it for as long as it's in play. the same is true for that shaman card that gives it deathrattle, re-summon this minion
Tentacles for arms: Yeah, unless Warriors get an amazing combo with this, like a legendary with the effect "Battlecry: All your weapons cost 4 less" to actually make it viable.
I think tentacles for arms is going to be a tech card for Legend + control warrior mirrors. How many times have we seen fatigue + armor up races? This would offset that pretty well imo.
The bogeymonster is literally a boulderfist ogre 98% of the time. And it costs 8 mana. Good work blizz very well done. The ONLY way I can understand why they would print that piece of garbage is that some other cards in the set have mad synergies with him. That better be the case.
+Atlas I find that hard to believe. Not that its wrong, I just can't wrap my head around what the hell they were thinking. Their absolutely must be synergistic cards with the boogeymonster. If there's not im dead serious this card is far worse than Major Domo Executus. While Domo is absolute garbage it does have some niche uses in constructed (not very good ones lol) and you can actually build a deck around him to crush certain heroic bosses in the adventure modes. This boogeymonster however... I see literally nothing that give it any redeeming qualities whatsoever. Not a single card in the game works well with it. The ONLY effect it will have on the game if it's a stand alone card is nerfing stuff like Sneed's deathrattle and recombobulating an 8 drop. Please blizzard.... Don't do this... We deserve better than "filler" cards.
+Rick Sanchez I see no reason why Boogeymonster shouldn't have been a 7-drop. It would still be bad, but at least then, it wouldn't be an almost strictly worse Gruul.
***** I feel you man, and in my opinion if he is a stand alone in this set then even 7 mana is too much. 6 mana sounds balanced. NOBODY runs boulderfist ogre in constructed so I highly doubt a slightly better one would make it in there.
Tentacles for Arms, guy on the forums proposed making it have the extra effect of "costs 1 less each time it's destroyed". Thought that was a good idea making it more playable, but still probably not enough.
Tentacle of N'Zoth op in Patron decks, Blizzard seems to like patron decks. Also Brood of N'Zoth works in Patron decks, play it and the Tentacle of N'Zoth with one whirlwind, omg such combo.
+Kofja Is not that good, because you need another card to "pop" the tentacle, unlike hitting your opponent twice with a DB, in order to get succesfully play this in patron warrior you need to invest 1 WW (And with Unsable Ghoul and DB rotating out of standar) summoning 4 patrons and not putting the board on lock down means lots of trouble.
KishinAkenm Tentacle of N'Zoth + Brood of N'Zoth + Grim Patron + Inner Rage + Whirlwind = 10 mana If you have all these in hand and Emperor Thaurissan, then it will cost 6 mana to play this combo, so i think this is pretty good. Also we just need to see if WotG has more Grim Patron friendly cards.
Tentacles for Arms seems to be a good card in fatigue warrior deck, isn't it? You always have a lot of armor, though you don't want to lose your cards.
+Ramzan308 | World of Tanks no. lets pretent that it is okay in that deck.....there is atleast 30 other cards to put that deck instead that gives you other cards so you wontrun out(example:ysera, nefaria, saraad etc)
+Ryan Smith The heaviest president at 332 pounds, Taft struggled all his adult life with a weight problem. He got stuck in the White House bathtub and had to have an oversized version brought in for his use Source: www.classroomhelp.com/lessons/Presidents/taft.html do ur research before you call someone out. Silly goose.
Doom: Main problem is you really don't need more card draw as Warlock, especially in the late game. Renounce darkness: People pointed out this is actually decent for zoo when you finally start to run out past turn 9 or so. Xaril: I freaking love this card. Seems just so cool! Tentacles: Honestly this would have to be 4 mana 3/2 to be decent, or have it so it reequips itself. Dustmonster: Yeah pretty much. Most people compare this to Gruul, which also guarantees it gains +2/+2 every turn and only has -1 health for -1 mana cost. Yeah. Gr8 card m8 He seems almost as upset at Boogeymonster as he was about bolster
I love your videos Kripp. I can't imagine my life without you. For sure this comment will go unnoticed, but if you see this, please, don't stop making videos cause they're awesome.
Gotta love seeing a whispers of the old gods advertisement on a video about whispers of the old gods after I have already purchased the whispers of the old gods card preorder
***** Well, ya just proved you're dumb as shit. GvG will not be able to be bought once the expansion hits. Not only that but I said 250 CARDS. 5 cards per pack x 50 packs = 250 cards, it's basic math. Also my point is you're paying for packs just like people would that don't pre-order except you're getting 25% more packs than them and the card back is just a small bonus they throw in for free. You aren't paying for the card back, you're paying for the cards.
+Frog Just renounce darkness and hope for druid class that include astral communion. Oh wait, renounce darkness destroys Doom. At least that's a card that will become in something more useful if you use renounce darkness.
+YesImEvil Gruul has 1 more attack, and also powers up on his own without having to kill things. It's better in practically every single way, and practically nobody plays Gruul because he's awful. I'll never understand the point of including new legendaries that are simply inferior versions of existing awful cards. Doom is another example of this, just a worse Twisting Nether that nobody plays. It's dumb.
+Rothbart24 boogey monster can only get better if you give it windfury or charge. But if you give an 8 drop windfury its probably going face, its amazing that blizz made a worse 8 drop than gruul.
@Kripparrian so the wording on renounce darkness, does that mean you get a random class card that cost 1 less than the card it replaced or just it cost 1 less after you get it??? that would make a big difference..... oh and im one of those players that would try out DOOM lol, a board wipe deck sounds fun.
Tentacles for arms is for Fatigue Warrior decks. How many times have you seen a fatigue where turn 16 you just Armor or Tank Up, at least now you can smack em for 2 every turn.
Kibler believes the Boogey Monster could see play. That its effect is cool and unique. "Some might draw Gruul, some might draw this legendary" "Some might see this in Arena 'is this a good card'?" There was also the complete avoidance of dealing with the Redditors issue with the competitive aspect of the card. Gruul was vaguely mentioned in passing. Not to disrespect Kibler, but he seems far to eager to defend some of the cards Blizzard comes out with, in the exact same fashion Blizzard have done so. When warsong was nerfed, Ben Brode said: "This card will still be used by new players who experiment" which is relatively valid when you consider that this is a common BASIC. This is of course completely untrue and warsong does not see play outside of Tavern Brawl since the nerf. Boogey Monster is completely the same in this respect, except, Its a Legendary, which means the players likely to use this aren't 'new' but are using it because of 'luck' in drawing it, or being an old experienced player who wants to use it explicitly because it is bad. I really question the arguments of some of the more experienced Hearthstone players. Yes bad cards have a place in Hearthstone, and yes lore and design choices are important. But No, they are not more important to the vast majority of Hearthstone users because the competitive element is the primary dictator for what sees play. This isn't true for any card game, this is true for any game in general. There is a progression in games which allow for power of cards scaling. This card scales poorly and is bad, regardless of having a nice effect. "That sword looks really cool" "It deals 1 damage to everything" "Its crap then" Its true in games as it is in life, you choose the things that are more likely to benefit you the vast majority of the time. You do not choose the things that look good but are crap, except for fun or to 'take the piss' if you will. I am therefore more interested to see Kiblers legendary and see if it stands up to his own argument, which i strongly suspect it won't and will have a rather high power level AND good lore/effect.
+ShadowReaperX07 Why are we talking about kibler on a kripp video? That being said every new expansion has the potential to change the current best decks and archetype. Add on top of that the new standard format and rebalancing of old cards and we could be seeing a game that plays very diffirently then it does now. The boogeymonster can be a reasonable card in a very specific and unlikely scenario of 2 extreme control decks with plenty of health gain and very limited burst facing each other. I am talking Justicar control warrior vs another control warrior and both alexstrasza and grom are somehow unplayable. When both you and your opponent are at 75 life gaining 4+ each turn killing your opponent will not be as big of a deal as outvalueing him and being able to deal with all crappy minions he plays. For example a shield maiden not something you want to use hard removal on but you do have to get rid of it at somepoint. The boogeymonster can be played as a card that starts eating up all those other lower impact cards like a chillwind yeti, shield maiden, armor smith. In a format where pesky deathrattle minions like sludge belcher don't really exist and unlike gruul can't be targeted by a BGH untill after you have already decided on killing a minion with it. Will this card see play? ofcourse not it won't ever. But it is important to realise that while blizzard seems to be trying to push more control decks now. Control decks are actually in a pretty bad spot right now. Because of how long aggro has been so dominant they have turned into endless health gain to survive and then win by fatigue. Control priest is the perfect example of this that runs justicar, death lords, entomb but no actual game winning legendaries like ysera of it's own. And playing as a CW vs CP can be incredibly boring. So adding more cards that could make that type of match more intresting is always good. Personlly i am now simply looking at the boogeymonster as a replacement for sneed's old shredder.
QUESTION! So when it says summon the deathrattle minions that have died this game, does that count minions that you gave a deathrattle effect to? Like if for example hunter used Infest on arcane golem, wolfrider, whatever else... Would N'Zoth bring those minions back since technically they had a deathrattle when they died? Would they come back with those effects?
+madsrim well it could be a comeback but you would still be behind since you cant play anything with it. It would be strong in topdeck mode when you are (far) behind wich is pretty situational in my opinion. if the sitaution is even, i'd rather use my hero power to draw than to fall behind for certain.
How do you think NZoth will interact with "Explorer's Hat"? I mean the hat gives a minion deathrattle, so it had deathrattle when it died... soooo... will NZoth bring it back?
+Antperson You are still free to hero power and then shaping. At there you have Rag, KT, Sneed's, Tirion, Ironbark, Chromaggus, Foe Reaper, Grommash, Gruul, Rhonin, Tank and the only bad one - Devilsaur
+Mark F Nah, man, Doom III will have the text, "destroy all minions, they randomly pop out and play their attack sounds from the edges of the screen for the rest of the match". And still cost 10 mana. Also the game board will turn dark except for a small area around your mouse cursor.
im curious what would happen if you had a Ragnaros on the board, played Brann Bronzebeard and then Herald Volazj. You'd get two Ragnaros's and two Branns but would those new Branns activate immediately and summon more Ragnaros's?
+HippoCrit if that did happen, you'd get 3 ragnaroses and 3 branns so your board would be full. Besides, brann's ability doesn't stack, so you'd only summon two of every card regardless of how many branns you have
My current Worgen Warrior was standard ready except for the Death's Bites. I was hoping for a new weapon to replace it. I don't think that will happen.
- N'Zoth, the Corruptor: Not mentioning that this guy might absolutely brake the wild format. - Tentacle of N'Zoth: Not mentioning the obvious fit in Grim Patron (Combo with Whirlwind). This card may be enough to keep the deck alive and replace Deathbite. - Renounce Darkness: I get it, Kripp is an Arena guy, so I'm kinda okay if he doesn't mention obvious constructed synergies - but then why doesn't he even talk about this cards Arena potential? That would have been really interesting, but nothing. Getting a 1 mana discount on every class card also is something pretty powerful and would have been wort some kind of deeper analysis. - Xaril, Poisoned Mind: Not mentioning that this card seems to be insane in Miracle Rogue, as the Toxins do combo well with the Auctioneer and Malygos (triggering auctioneers effect, giving Maly or the Auctioneer stealth, dealing damage with Maly on board, returning the auctioneer to your hand). This Deck already looked to be really powerful in standard since it's not losing anything really important, and this card pushes it even further. - Herald Volazy: Not mentioning the insane synergy with a legendary almost every priest already runs: Ysera. Also absolutely insane in wild with cards like shredder or Dr. Boom. - Tentacle for Arms: Wouldn't this card maybe fit in Fatigue Warrior? - Faceless Shambler: Not mentioning the insane synergy with Giants, which imo makes this card a better fit in classic Handlock than in Renolock. So yeah, I'm a little bit disappointed by this video...
I believe some cards don't need to see play but it's good that they exist, such as the Infested Tauren. It doesn't really change the meta, but it reinforces that IF the meta starts shifting just a bit over pure aggro again, we have the tools to stop it, which ends up stopping it by inertia.
+Vince P It's also important to remember that most warlock cards are worse than comparable cards of other classes to compensate for their much stronger hero power. You get to turn all your warlock cards into cards of other classes AND discount them. That's big. You could use it one of two ways. You could build a deck around using it semi early and have access cards that are going to be random but OP on average. Alternatively you could build a deck around tapping a lot early then cast and hope for a hand of OP effects. As a bonus to the second way using the tap so much probably cost a good bit of health. This would give people a hero power they aren't afraid to use at fifteen or so.
The main issue of the power of tentacles for arms come from his deathrattle, you can't silence it and you can remove it because it alway return in hand that where the cost come from but it should have make it a 3/2 and it will still be fine.
Tentacles for Arms should be a 3/2 weapon (or like SkylordSweddy suggested get 1 mana discount each time it is returned) and the Boogeymonster should get buffed on kills regardless whether it attacks or not. Wouldn't make thos cards any good but they wouldn't be utterly trash either.
Question about N'zoth. Does it work on minions that you give deathrattle? Could you soul of the forest minions in druid and then resummon them with N'zoth?
+i5m1thy yea i was thinking the same but it can't if it did it can get silly real fast like with ancestral spirit in shaman if you give that to any late game card like al'akir or rag it will be summon by n'zoth then if it dies summoned again and you can do that with 2 minions and they both would be summoned now you can see how crazy that can be.
I think they imply the randomness. How would you choose? it would have to be discover but with 8. Although it would be cool, I don't think so. It doesn't say choose anywhere in the card either. Plus if it was a choose card it would most likely have to be druid.
I've come this far. I ain't going back on it. To be fair, they do admit that C'Thun was inspired by C'Thulu, as all of the old gods are based on work by H. P. Lovecraft.
+Cosmic Queen - All characters take lethal damage. -Hallazeal's effect triggers. -Soulpriest overrides it, dealing additional damage to your hero. -Everything dies, game ends in a draw.

Blizzard has said that the "Wherever it is" text applies to the players hero. So if C'thun was summoned off say sneed's it would still receive any buffs that occured before.
Lol
+William A.Souza An old god piloting a shredder, why no
+Ye_Olde_Scrap Still makes more sense than Sneed's old shredder piloting Sneed's old shredder.
*+William A.Souza* Of course not. The legendary inside Sneed's Old Shredder is generated upon the deathrattle.
18:52 "Speaking of dust". I like that transition lol
I'm hopeful for N'Zoth priest. If how it works is anything like Resurrect or Kel'Thuzad's hero power in the last brawl, we could put a single minion into the graveyard multiple times and then summon multiples of it with N'Zoth.

or just be a 3/2 weapon or something
Boogeymonster would be good with the effect "This minion never loses stealth".

I'm wondering if the 2/2 Slime from the infested Tauren has Poison or whatever you call it. Destroy whatever minion takes damage. Because Grubbulus or whatever he was called summoned poison slimes when his description didn't say that in the last Tavern Brawl.
No
Have you seen it?
+Ghaz3k I think you might be right, I was thinking the same. Sludge Belcher reads "Summon a 1/2 Slime with Taunt" - and the Infested Tauren reads "Summon a 2/2 Slime", which I would have thought if having similar mechanics to Sludge Belcher would also include "Taunt" in the text.
+Ghaz3k
I'm looking at the Grobbulus card right now. It's effect says "summon a poisonous 2/2 Slime". Infested Tauren just summons a 2/2 Slime, so I'm pretty sure that Slime will just be a vanilla 2/2.
the happiness shows in kripp's face when he says "and i'll see your guys tomorrow" is killin me
i dont play hearthstotne since a year ago but i still watch these videos and get excited with the new cards lol
N'Zoth is basically a 5/7 Everydeath can happen
+GlitchedSlayer Except there are no Deathrattle minions with Charge, so you can't even make a cutesie 10 mana OTK deck - it MIGHT work in some sort of Deathrattle centered control deck, but I don't really see it happening. Glad to be proven wrong though.

Ragnaros- 8/8 (Deals 8 damage to a random enemy at the end of your turn)
Kel'Thuzad - 6/8 (Revives Your Fallen Minions at the "End of Each Turn")
Gruul- 7/7 (Gains +1/+1 at the end of your turn)
All 3 of these are great/good 8 drops in Arena, usually depending on the board.
So what the hell is going on with this "Boogeymonster" ?
As a 6/7 it doesn't even meet the power level of Gruul, who can swing face and still get the benefit from his card text.
Seriously, who the hell thought that making a card WORSE than a Legendary that isn't even played was a good idea ?
Lol the ad that played before this video was the commercial for whisper of the old gods
Tentacles For Arms should've read "Deathrattle: Return this to your hand. It costs 3 less."
+TF2PNub it should be 4 mana Deathattle : Return this to your Deck.
then at least its like an tech card anti-fatique
Hykaro Genji That is EXTREMELY worse. You DO NOT want to draw this instead of your other cards. Especially not when most games don't go into fatigue, and those that do are decided by other methods, such as Elise.

Hykaro Genji It's not an auto include now. And it still wouldn't be with my suggestion. Your suggestion just screws up your draws and makes your deck more inconsistent against every deck, since against other control decks you would much rather draw your decent removals for their threats.
1. Play Velen and have it live until the next turn somehow.
2. Play Volazj and 2x Mind Blast.
+Sam M. 2. Play Faceless Manipulator and double Mindblast. Win turn 9 rather than 10.
Stupid question maybe, but if you play hunter and give a minion a explorers hat. Then it died with a deathrattle. Can N'zoth then summon it?
Nein
+Pieter Hulsen 9
+Pieter Hulsen No
+Pieter Hulsen no because the card itself doesn't have death rattle it just gains it for as long as it's in play.
the same is true for that shaman card that gives it deathrattle, re-summon this minion
What about Haunted Raptor?
when kripp transitioned into the split screen, I came.
Tentacles for arms: Yeah, unless Warriors get an amazing combo with this, like a legendary with the effect "Battlecry: All your weapons cost 4 less" to actually make it viable.
Of course!
Or, like, all your tentacles for arms have +3/+1 wherever they are until end of game
+MDoorpsy
You might have a card kinda like Muster for Battle that automatically equips this weapon for you.
But ye, it's a bad card to hard-run.

+Rick Sanchez
I see no reason why Boogeymonster shouldn't have been a 7-drop.
No?
Noah Warnes no?
+Kofja Is not that good, because you need another card to "pop" the tentacle, unlike hitting your opponent twice with a DB, in order to get succesfully play this in patron warrior you need to invest 1 WW (And with Unsable Ghoul and DB rotating out of standar) summoning 4 patrons and not putting the board on lock down means lots of trouble.
KishinAkenm Tentacle of N'Zoth + Brood of N'Zoth + Grim Patron + Inner Rage + Whirlwind = 10 mana
If you have all these in hand and Emperor Thaurissan, then it will cost 6 mana to play this combo, so i think this is pretty good. Also we just need to see if WotG has more Grim Patron friendly cards.
Kofja So what? a 10 mana combo that requires 10 mana and uses 5 cards whle being really vulnerable to AoE is not a good combo.
Man I just love how Kripp has such a different way to look at the game and its cards. Beautiful!
Xaril is very good with auctioneer on an Malyrogue deck !
Preety good for me !
Its pretty good in most rogue deck in general
Tentacles for Arms seems to be a good card in fatigue warrior deck, isn't it? You always have a lot of armor, though you don't want to lose your cards.
+Ramzan308 | World of Tanks no. lets pretent that it is okay in that deck.....there is atleast 30 other cards to put that deck instead that gives you other cards so you wontrun out(example:ysera, nefaria, saraad etc)
+mustacobra Headcrack is probably a bit better than tentacles even lol.
KarstenOkk
waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy better. because that atleast combos other class cards and gets bigger with spell power

Yeah. Gr8 card m8
He seems almost as upset at Boogeymonster as he was about bolster

as a warlock main i would have loved to see Renounce Darkness as a 3-4 drop that let you discover a class and same effect

think about it 1600 dust to craft a spell if it's not a 10 dmg flamestrike won't do it
I love your videos Kripp. I can't imagine my life without you. For sure this comment will go unnoticed, but if you see this, please, don't stop making videos cause they're awesome.
Brood of N'Zoth so cute
Gotta love seeing a whispers of the old gods advertisement on a video about whispers of the old gods after I have already purchased the whispers of the old gods card preorder
That's kind of a waste of money tbh. All that just for a card back? ._.
+david dagon You do realize that the $50 actually gets you cards too right? 250 of them to be exact.
+Lennon1398 Not 250 of them, 50 of them. The cards will be available for everyone to buy just like TGT and GNG
+david dagon Haha no, you get the card back and you get 50 packs
***** Well, ya just proved you're dumb as shit. GvG will not be able to be bought once the expansion hits. Not only that but I said 250 CARDS. 5 cards per pack x 50 packs = 250 cards, it's basic math.
Also my point is you're paying for packs just like people would that don't pre-order except you're getting 25% more packs than them and the card back is just a small bonus they throw in for free. You aren't paying for the card back, you're paying for the cards.
renounce darkness is like unstable portal. you can win or lose the game as a result of esports
Ye, even the art of the card shows a guy embracing RNGesus
Take a drink every time this guy says 'preeeety good!". Call the ambulance before you start though.
Ooh Kripp, how wrong you were about n'zoth
Renounce Darkness replaces Warlock cards... Would that take out the classic/basic cards that are in there as well?
I suppose Faceless Shambler works with Hobgoblin

You do the best reviews Kripp, can't wait for more!
I think doom would be good in astral communion Druid. :)
You would need to be a Warlock and Druid at the same time first. Or Nexus Champion/Spellslinger etc., but that won't happen.
+Mattiaatje Thats the joke
+Frog Just renounce darkness and hope for druid class that include astral communion. Oh wait, renounce darkness destroys Doom. At least that's a card that will become in something more useful if you use renounce darkness.
+Frog Jesus Christ, imagine though. Once it happens. Once the RNG gods allow it. How glorious it will be.
15:46 Herald Volazj is gonna be fun in brawls
inb4 doom has an amazing animation just like twisting nether but then against its garbage and will never see play
Ha! It's going into my lock deck asap! That's 12-20 boardwipes! 20! That's waaaay more than you'll ever need :D
+potatomaster If the animation involves C'thun popping up to om nom every minion I'll play it, I don't give a fuck if it's bad :V
+nope. ash Yogg, he's on the art so I think it might be him not big ol' C. But yeah, will play!
Enragedguy24 oh right, haven't played WoW in a while
If you silence a minion that herald vilazj summons does it return its stats?
Boogeymonster is like a one stat point worse Gruul.
+YesImEvil aka. Dustmonster
+YesImEvil Mischievous children have long feared finding a Boogeymonster in their Hearthstone packs.
+MrTuas It's a nerf to Forbidden Shaping cast at 8 mana.
@Kripparrian so the wording on renounce darkness, does that mean you get a random class card that cost 1 less than the card it replaced or just it cost 1 less after you get it??? that would make a big difference..... oh and im one of those players that would try out DOOM lol, a board wipe deck sounds fun.
I could see a new player w/ zoo lock deck wanting to get renounce darkness if they only have access to crap quality cards to begin with.
+John Exactly! It's like Elise Starseeker but without to go to fatigue first, so any archetype can use it.
Tentacles for arms is for Fatigue Warrior decks. How many times have you seen a fatigue where turn 16 you just Armor or Tank Up, at least now you can smack em for 2 every turn.
Them transitions tho.
+Shavinder1999 Next level production values!
Kibler believes the Boogey Monster could see play.
That its effect is cool and unique.
"Some might draw Gruul, some might draw this legendary" "Some might see this in Arena 'is this a good card'?"
There was also the complete avoidance of dealing with the Redditors issue with the competitive aspect of the card.
"That sword looks really cool" "It deals 1 damage to everything" "Its crap then"
Its true in games as it is in life, you choose the things that are more likely to benefit you the vast majority of the time. You do not choose the things that look good but are crap, except for fun or to 'take the piss' if you will.
I am therefore more interested to see Kiblers legendary and see if it stands up to his own argument, which i strongly suspect it won't and will have a rather high power level AND good lore/effect.
+ShadowReaperX07
Why are we talking about kibler on a kripp video?
I am starting to wonder if they are giving away C'tuns so players won't complain their first legend was Boogiemonster.
When i got my first legendary i thought it was you but it turned out to be malygos.
Feelsbadman
+Ysera PhD good1 :D
+Tyler van de Ven
No. Only minions that naturally have Deathrattle.
***** Thanks, I figured that would be the case but one can dream.
Tentacles for Arms should cost less. Even at 4 mana, it still wouldn't be that good.
At 3 mana it will be broken
@Kripparian
You went over doom very briefly. How good of a card woudl you say it was in arena? I find that it could be quite strong there.
+madsrim well it could be a comeback but you would still be behind since you cant play anything with it. It would be strong in topdeck mode when you are (far) behind wich is pretty situational in my opinion. if the sitaution is even, i'd rather use my hero power to draw than to fall behind for certain.
Boogeymonster is hands down worse than Gruul. And Gruul is the kind of card you disenchant immediately.
***** I'd rather have one good epic than one bad legendary. Good try, though.
How do you think NZoth will interact with "Explorer's Hat"? I mean the hat gives a minion deathrattle, so it had deathrattle when it died... soooo... will NZoth bring it back?
the old gods really nerf forbidden shaping at ten mana
The 10 mana slot is already so bad its actually better to hero power then forbidden shaping even if every minion is at full health
+Antperson You are still free to hero power and then shaping. At there you have Rag, KT, Sneed's, Tirion, Ironbark, Chromaggus, Foe Reaper, Grommash, Gruul, Rhonin, Tank and the only bad one - Devilsaur
So, you can get nzoth minions in arena? because they don't effect the old god like some of the other cards?
Of course Doom isn't too great. Just wait two expansion and Doom 3 will be better.
+Mark F Doom needs to silence first, or completely remove minions from the game (no deathrattles, no resurrecting them back), or something unique.
See the joke? See your head? It went riiiight over...
+Mark F lmao
+Mark F Nah, man, Doom III will have the text, "destroy all minions, they randomly pop out and play their attack sounds from the edges of the screen for the rest of the match". And still cost 10 mana. Also the game board will turn dark except for a small area around your mouse cursor.
If you use Soul of the Forest on an Ancient of War or whatever, will N'Zoth bring it back?
Nope, buffs don't count.
I do not have your answer, but interesting question! :-D
interesting. i dont think it will as the card doesnt naturally have the deathrattle the same way bringjng another minion to life doesnt keep its buffs
can you explorer's hat a minion so it has deathrattle when it dies? or it only applies to minions who naturally have deathrattle?
im curious what would happen if you had a Ragnaros on the board, played Brann Bronzebeard and then Herald Volazj.
You'd get two Ragnaros's and two Branns but would those new Branns activate immediately and summon more Ragnaros's?
+HippoCrit if that did happen, you'd get 3 ragnaroses and 3 branns so your board would be full. Besides, brann's ability doesn't stack, so you'd only summon two of every card regardless of how many branns you have
Brann makes your battlecries activate twice not +1 times so no. Also your board would be too full anyway.
Does renounce darkness only replace your warlock cards, and leave the neutrals?
yes.
Happy Easter, Kripp
Tentacles for Arms should be a 3/2 weapon (or like SkylordSweddy suggested get 1 mana discount each time it is returned) and the Boogeymonster should get buffed on kills regardless whether it attacks or not. Wouldn't make thos cards any good but they wouldn't be utterly trash either.
Wow, Kripp! Great moves, keep it up, proud of you!
I like the new transitioning thingy in the videos
KRIPP. Do you think N'zoth will work with Soul Of The Forest?
Can it be that Infected tauren spawns that slime from the last brawl with deathtouch? It would be pretty good.
Question about N'zoth. Does it work on minions that you give deathrattle? Could you soul of the forest minions in druid and then resummon them with N'zoth?
no, but you can resummon silenced deathrattles
+Billy Diaz I see. That's a shame. It's also a shame that naxx is rotating out of standard because I'd love to try him in deathrattle shaman.
Do you get to chose what class you become with Renounce Darkness? The word "random" cannot be found anywhere in the card text.
I think they imply the randomness. How would you choose? it would have to be discover but with 8. Although it would be cool, I don't think so. It doesn't say choose anywhere in the card either. Plus if it was a choose card it would most likely have to be druid.
What happens with the shaman card that gives you deathrattle ? Will ANY minion with that effect come back?
+Misael Capria no
Most of this expansion is helping Warlock. Although control decks with C'Thulu combo are going to be interesting.
+Grish Nakah C'THULU AHAHHAHA
C'thulu :'D
I've come this far. I ain't going back on it.
To be fair, they do admit that C'Thun was inspired by C'Thulu, as all of the old gods are based on work by H. P. Lovecraft.
Grish Nakah i think yogg is definitley more "c'thulhu-ish"
Cthun is not a control card, its for midrange
If you had a hunter with the Hat and you used the ten drop would that bring back the card you would use it on?
No
+Aaron Arnold Blizzard already cleared that out, N'zoth only bring minions who have the ability, not minions who gain it.
How would soulpriest, tree of life, and Hallazeal work? Would it kill you, or win you the game?
When Hallazeal tries to heal you, soul priest will turn it into dmg
+Cosmic Queen
- All characters take lethal damage.
-Hallazeal's effect triggers.
-Soulpriest overrides it, dealing additional damage to your hero.
-Everything dies, game ends in a draw.
doesn't that warrior weopon work well with spiteful smith?
