It’s still tragic how this game was never added to Switch. I will never understand. I was certain it would happen within a year or so after the release of 3D All Stars. Sad.
I couldn't agree more with World 5 being the best world in the game. It has my favorite galaxy, the Space Storm Galaxy, which has a reference to the Buoy Base Galaxy from Galaxy 1. I've always loved the industrial-themed levels in the Galaxy games. Bowser Jr's Boomsday Machine is also my favorite boss from both games. The idea of a tower shooting electricity at you and fire bars at its base only to turn into a tank in the third phase is just epic!
Great Ranking! I personally like world 3 the best because of the atmosphere and great levels, but I see where you're coming from with world 5! Also, I would love to see a dome ranking for the first game!!!
i started dying when you talking about megahammer. i have a bit of brainrot with the megahammer music because me and my friends had this bit and on one youtube upload of the song i spoke on trauma i have with the song and on another upload of it i talked about how much it turns me on sexual style.
Ahh Super Mario Galaxy! My rankings are 1. World 3 because of the beautiful music, shooting stars, asteroids, comets, ambience, and it has the best Galaxy and music in the game Cloudy Court Galaxy, (Galaxy 2 for Gusty Garden), Freeze Flake Galaxy, Tall Trunk Galaxy especially with the slide and the slider theme from Super Mario 64 the best song from that game of all time, and more! 2. World 1 because of my childhood.. I remember loving the beautiful blue sky with the ambience seeing the birds flying across the screen, Sky Station Galaxy, the 2nd best galaxy in the game, Yoshi Star Galaxy, Bowser Jr's Fiery Flotilla, Spin Dig, and Flip Switch Galaxy! 3. World 2 because of Cosmic Cove Galaxy, the music is just so beautiful, magical, relaxing, and it's the type of music that would play that makes you feel like you're stargazing besides Good Egg Galaxy, and Gateway Galaxy, there's also Hightail Falls, Wild Glide Galaxy, Honeybloom Galaxy, and Bowser's Lava Lair I loved so much! 4. World 5 because of Space Storm, Shiverburn Galaxy, Slipsand Galaxy, and Fleet Glide Galaxy, the green stars were so annoying on that one the most! 5. World 4 Because of Starshine Beach Galaxy, I love it so much! 6. World 6 I love Throwback Galaxy for Whomp's Fortress, especially because i grew up playing that Galaxy before Super Mario 64 lol, I first played Super Mario 64 when Super Mario 3D All Stars came out, and I 100%ed it for the first time on November 9, 2022. 3-4 months after I think, I don't remember exactly but I started to play it again on Wii Virtual Console the American Version where you can bLJ (Backwards Long Jump), I'm on 55-60 stars at the moment I think, maybe 70 stars. 7. World S I feel the levels are way too stressful and you don't have any enjoyment playing through them, it's all mainly stressful, even though it's a test on everything you've been through, but losing my sanity is not fun lol especially Stone Cyclone, Boss Blitz with no checkpoint, if you die you have to start the level all over again, and then of course Grandmaster Galaxy the most stressful galaxy I've ever played in my life it took me over 30-40 tries just to beat it, dieing so many times was haunting me at night giving myself a very hard time getting ready for bed and trying to fall asleep. So yeah Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Super Mario Galaxy 1 are 2 of my most fonded childhood games of all time and it holds a very special place in my heart, I like Super Mario Galaxy 1 better though because of Rosalina, The Comet Observatory is a bigger hub world, and especially The Comet Observatory 3 song, it melts my heart the very fullest, it's so magical and make me feel like Rosalina is a part of me!
I wouldn’t say Mario odyssey was mediocre of all things but I can agree that galaxy 3 should’ve happened. Maybe there is still hope in the future for it though! 😭

You should rank each major level in Super Mario Sunshine next. Those would include Bianco Hills, Ricco Harbor, Gelato Beach, Pinna Park, Serena Beach, Noki Bay, and Pinta Village. Dunno about Delfino Plaza because that’s the main area of the game, not a level or world, and Corona Mountain is just a stretch to the final boss so I dunno if that should count too, but that’s really up to you because it’s your video.
I'd love it if you also ranked all the enemies in this game. There are neat ones like Twirlips, Fizzlits, and Kleptoads and really funny ones like the Smeeches.
I honestly agree with pretty much everything on this list. although I'm a bit but hurt that you called stone cyclone from world S a bad level, coz that's one of my favourites in the whole game. I really love the difficulty of that level and I'd always beat it without using the time speed switch as an extra challenge.

@@generalcrab0009 I have a few points. 1: While yes, I do agree the story is the same from every other mainline game with a space theme, Galaxy is different because of its cinematic flair, with the opening and ending of the game, but also in between. 2: Dismissing an important element of a game because it's optional is stupid. Rosalina's Storybook was made to give her a backstory, something no other Mario game would ever do, and it was made to give the players a melancholic break from the otherwise ecstatic gameplay. 3: "Galaxy 1 canonically never happened after the universe reset." So I guess you could say every other Mario game isn't canon because the universe resets every 100 years? 4: I'll compare this game to Bowser's Fury's Lake Lapcat. Sure, it's very creative, but it explains nothing. Why is everything a cat? What happened to Bowser? What's up with the black goo? On the other hand, Galaxy answers these types of questions, like the Lumas, Rosalina and more. It proves that the creators thought through the world, story, and lore by providing context and background to everything. No context = shallow world = less immersion = less memorable
Do you plan on making one fot Galaxy 1? If so, how would that one work? Because there are some galaxies not confined within a dome, and show up after feeding hungry lumas instead (Example Sling Pod, Sweet Sweet, or the final level itself?)
Honestly both Galaxy 1 and 2 are perfect, i just slighty prefer Galaxy 1 because of the nostalgia, the atmosphère ,the levels, the music, the développement of the game going back far to Super Mario 128, Bowser actully being scary for ounce, everything !. In fact Super Mario Galaxy is my favourite game of all time.
Mario Galaxy 2 us my favorite game of all time, here's my ranking- 7- World 4, Even though it's my least favorite, it still has amazing levels 6- World 2, It's more consistent than World 4 5- World 1, An amazing start to a amazing game 4- World S, Nice callbacks to other Mario games 3- World 3, Has some of the most iconic parts of Galaxy 2 2- World 6, A great set of challenging levels 1- World 5, Even though it has my least favorite Galaxy (Boo Moon) all the others are some of the best in the Mario Series (Space Storm being my favorite Galaxy)
My Ranking: #7: World S (This world is absolutley awful. Pretty much all the levels suck. The only good ones are Flip-Out and Rolling Coaster, and even then they're only pretty good compared to some of this game's masterpieces. Mario Squared, Boss Blitz, and Twisty Trials are all painfully boring, and Stone Cyclone and Grandmaster are induriating. And the World map doesn't even have that good of music. I really hate this world. There's almost nothing redeeming about it.) #6: World 5 (this is the placement in the list that makes me the most sad, but man is World 5's level selection mixed. World 5 has some of my absolute favorite levels in the game, including my absolute favorite, and some of my least favorite levels in the game. Shiverburn is a top ten level for me, but Slipsand Galaxy is the bane of my existance and one of my least favorite desert levels in all of Mario. Then there's Space Storm Galaxy, my favorite level in the whole game thanks to its amazing music and fantastic level design, and even a pretty awesome callback to Buoy Base from the first game, but to combat this, the world has Boo Moon, an absolutely unbearable autoscroller with a miserable maze section at the beginning. Bowser jr.'s Boom Bunker isn't amazing, but It's a great finale for this world with an amazing boss fight, but Fleet Glide, while not awful is pretty bad despite its cool factory theme. And then there's Upside Dizzy Galaxy, which is just kind of average all things considered. I wish I could love this world just as much as you Albert, but it's honestly kind of crazy how ever single perfectly balances on another out.) #5: World 1 (This is a really solid world. All the levels are pretty good, with very few peaking above that level of quality and even fewer dipping below. Sky Station, while not as good as Good Egg Galaxy is still a great introduction to this game. Yoshi Star is easily the standout here, with the introduction of Yoshi, and one of my favorite bosses in the whole game. Spin Dig is also great with another pretty awesome boss. Fluffy Bluff is a ton of fun, but a but on the short side. Rightside Up is pretty good, Flip-Swap is alright, and Bowser jr.'s Fiery Flotilla is pretty good as well, but it's single handedly carries by its amazing boss fight against Gobblegut. World is a pretty solid inteoduction to a great game.) #4: World 2 (Worlds 1 and 2 are pretty close quality-wise, it's just that World 2 has higher highs, but lower lows. Cosmic Cove and Puzzle Plank are each some of my favorites from this game, both for very different reasons. Cosmic Cove is gorgeous and relaxing with calming music to accompany it. Puzzle Plank is the opposite it's very energetic and upbeat, and the music encapsulates that perfectly. None of the other levels reach the same heights as these, but there's still some good ones. I have similar opinions about the Bowser levels as you do Albert. Compared to the junior levels, they're not as interesting, but Lava Lair is still pretty good. Honeybloom is pretty solid too. It's played entirely in 2D and has some great platforming. Hightail Falls is a level I hear a lot of people praising, and yeah it's good, but definitely a bit overrated. Then there's the not so good levels. Boulder Bowl Galaxy isn't bad, but its pretty meh. The Rock Mushroom is pretty annoying to control, but at the very least the boss is good. Then there's Wild Glide. Probably the most disappointing galaxy in the game. I love the lush jungle environment, but I wish I could actually explore it, rather than being forced to use annoying motion controls. World 2 can be a bit of a mixed bag, but it has more ups than downs, including two of the best levels in the whole game.) #3: World 4 (World 4 is certainly the most forgettable world in the game, and definitely a downgrade from the near perfect World 3, but it isn't bad, and has plenty of great levels. In fact it has all great levels. Outside of Bowser's Gravity Gauntlet. I find it to be very generic and meh. Other than that, they're all hits. The three biggest highlights for me are Chompworks, Flipsville, and Starshine Beach. Flipsville is the least of the greats, just because it degrades in quality be the second mission, but the first mission is fantastic with all the gravity flipping and the stellar boss fight. Starshine Beach is very open and I love exploring it with the leaf raft. Chompworks has a fantastic factory theme as well as some great puzzles and platforming. Then there's some other great some levels. Much like Starshine, Honeyhop is very open to explore, even if it is just discount Honeyhive. Supermassive is definitely overrated for how much some people love it, but it's still great, and Sweet Mystery is short but sweet. I will admit World 4 tones down the atmoshpere from World 3 and it probably should've been earlier in the game, but it's still great.) #2: World 6 (World 6 is such a great finale. There's really only two galaxies holding it back, and I might as well get them out of the way. Flash Black Galaxy is fine, I've just never really cared for it. The active problem child of the two is Battle Belt Galaxy. Literally all you do is just fight generic, boring enemies over and over. Isn't that such good gameplay? I suppose they needed somewhere to put Fiery Gobblegut. Gee if only there was a lava-themed level where he would've fit so much. Oh look! It's a lava level where he would've fit so much better! Melty Monster Galaxy isn't as good as Melty Molten from the first game, but it's still great. Slimy Springs is a gorgeous water level that's suprisingly fast-paced, Clockwork Ruins has some of the best platforming in the game, and Throwback is a great, well, throwback. Whomp's Fortress is recreated beautifully and the redone boss fight is fantastic. And of course, Bowser's Galaxy Generator. The only Bowser level that doesn't feel like a generic castle. It's a fantastic finale, even if the boss is way too easy. World 6 is great, but it's not best in the game.) #1: World 3 (World 3 is absolutely fantastic. It's not perfect, in fact it actually has my least favorite level in the game Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy. It's a miserable time only somewhat saved by the aesthetic. With a level so bad, how can World 3 save itself? Well I think that's just testament to how good the other levels here are. Haunty Halls and Beat Block are good, but they're not gonna save this world. But that's where the rest of the levels come in. Freezy Flake is a snow level. I'm usually a huge fan of those and this is no exception. Tall Trunk and Cloudy Court are probably the most popular levels in the game, and they definitely deserve their praise. And then of course, there's my favorite Bowser jr level in the game, Fearsome Flight. The level design is awesome and the boss fight is excellent. It's honesrky impressive that World 3 manages to be my favorite world in the game, despite containing my least favorite level in the whole game.
My list: 7. World S - well... 3 of the galaxies in this world are based on sections from previous Mario game, I don't mind Twisty Trials that much because it's from Mario Sunshine but Mario Squared and Stone Cyclone are literally based on sections from the first Mario Galaxy game (I am also disappointed that Nintendo didn't use Clock attack as the music in the comet mission of Stone Cyclone because this song slaps), for the other galaxies, Flip-Out Galaxy is okay, Grandmaster Galaxy is also okay even though it doesn't really have a theme to the level, I don't like Roller Coaster because of the star ball and the best galaxy in this world must be Boss Blitz, which captures the nostalgia of the first SMG perfectly 6. World 5 - half of this world is horrible, the other half is amazing. Boo Moon Galaxy is the worst galaxy of this world in my opinion, the comet medal and 2 out of the 6 stars in this galaxy are all located in the same location, also they used the Boo Mushroom in the most annoying way possible which is just mashing A to gain height. Slip Sand is pretty annoying because of the sand that pushes us backwards and the sandbird star, I never liked the Fluzzard's controls, as for the other galaxies, Upside Dizzy is okay, Space Storm is really cool, That's a shame that we can't use the Ice Flower in Shiverburn Galaxy but I forgive that because I love the Ice-Lava mash up and the boss fight is really cool in this world, I also liked how they made a new section just for the comet star of the Bowser Junior Galaxy. By the way, fun fact: World 5 is the only world in the entire game that doesn't include Yoshi or any purple coin mission. 5. World 2 - this world is pretty good, the only level I didn't like is again the Fluzzard's level, Honeybloom and Puzzle Plank are okay, Boulder Bowls is pretty good, the Bowser level is great, Hightail Falls is super fun, Cosmic Cove is probably one of the best underwater levels ever made in a Mario game 4. World 1 - Spin Dig is okay but the rest of the levels in this world are some great tutorials for the game, the reason it's not that high is that it's on the easy side of the game 3. World 6 - the world with the best music tracks in the game, the main reason this world is so high in my list is because of the music. As for the levels, Battle Belt sucks, Melty Moltens is okay, Slimy Spring makes me chill, Throwback Galaxy is based around a full level of Super Mario 64 and I like it, Clockwork Galaxy is pretty fun, Flash Black has a good gimmick and Bowser Galaxy Generator is probably my favorite level in the game 2. World 4 - it's true that the first 2 galaxies can be a little bit ugly (comparing to Super Mario Galaxy 2 standards) but the world is fun regardless (except the spring mushroom mission) 1. World 3 - all of the galaxies are great with the exception of Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy, Tall Trunk is so fun, Haunty Halls and Beat Block Galaxy have super unique gimmicks, Freezy Flake and Couldy Court are very beautiful and the Bowser Jr level is amazing

I like Flipsvile.

1- World 5, Even though it has my least favorite Galaxy (Boo Moon) all the others are some of the best in the Mario Series (Space Storm being my favorite Galaxy)
i guess we're polar opposites, aside from space storm and the boom bunker i thought world 5 was lame, while i had a blast with world 4. cool video tho
mario galaxy 2 is my favorite 3D mario game ONLY because i never played 64 or sunshine.
finally someone other than me doesn't like world 4 . also good vid
My Ranking:
#7: World S (This world is absolutley awful. There's almost nothing redeeming about it.)
#6: World 5 (this is the placement in the list that makes me the most sad, but man is World 5's level selection mixed. I wish I could love this world just as much as you Albert, but it's honestly kind of crazy how ever single perfectly balances on another out.)
#5: World 1 (This is a really solid world. World is a pretty solid inteoduction to a great game.)
#4: World 2 (Worlds 1 and 2 are pretty close quality-wise, it's just that World 2 has higher highs, but lower lows. World 2 can be a bit of a mixed bag, but it has more ups than downs, including two of the best levels in the whole game.)
#3: World 4 (World 4 is certainly the most forgettable world in the game, and definitely a downgrade from the near perfect World 3, but it isn't bad, and has plenty of great levels. I will admit World 4 tones down the atmoshpere from World 3 and it probably should've been earlier in the game, but it's still great.)
#2: World 6 (World 6 is such a great finale. World 6 is great, but it's not best in the game.)
#1: World 3 (World 3 is absolutely fantastic. It's honesrky impressive that World 3 manages to be my favorite world in the game, despite containing my least favorite level in the whole game.
world 5 was always my least favourite haha, but i respect your list and reasoning
I prefer world 3 becase I hate the fluzzard levels
Wait now to think of this… why the hell has this not bin in the 3d all stars!?!😡
WE DO NOT SPEAK OF GRANDMASTER GALAXY!!!!
Switch world 3 and 5 and its perfect for me
As a person who prefers the first Galaxy game Albert I would love to see you do this type of ranking for the original Galaxy
From worst to best, my ranking is S,2,3,1,4,5,6
My list:
7. World S - well... 3 of the galaxies in this world are based on sections from previous Mario game, I don't mind Twisty Trials that much because it's from Mario Sunshine but Mario Squared and Stone Cyclone are literally based on sections from the first Mario Galaxy game (I am also disappointed that Nintendo didn't use Clock attack as the music in the comet mission of Stone Cyclone because this song slaps), for the other galaxies, Flip-Out Galaxy is okay, Grandmaster Galaxy is also okay even though it doesn't really have a theme to the level, I don't like Roller Coaster because of the star ball and the best galaxy in this world must be Boss Blitz, which captures the nostalgia of the first SMG perfectly
5. World 2 - this world is pretty good, the only level I didn't like is again the Fluzzard's level, Honeybloom and Puzzle Plank are okay, Boulder Bowls is pretty good, the Bowser level is great, Hightail Falls is super fun, Cosmic Cove is probably one of the best underwater levels ever made in a Mario game
4. World 1 - Spin Dig is okay but the rest of the levels in this world are some great tutorials for the game, the reason it's not that high is that it's on the easy side of the game
3. World 6 - the world with the best music tracks in the game, the main reason this world is so high in my list is because of the music. As for the levels, Battle Belt sucks, Melty Moltens is okay, Slimy Spring makes me chill, Throwback Galaxy is based around a full level of Super Mario 64 and I like it, Clockwork Galaxy is pretty fun, Flash Black has a good gimmick and Bowser Galaxy Generator is probably my favorite level in the game
2. World 4 - it's true that the first 2 galaxies can be a little bit ugly (comparing to Super Mario Galaxy 2 standards) but the world is fun regardless (except the spring mushroom mission)
1. World 3 - all of the galaxies are great with the exception of Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy, Tall Trunk is so fun, Haunty Halls and Beat Block Galaxy have super unique gimmicks, Freezy Flake and Couldy Court are very beautiful and the Bowser Jr level is amazing
are you from sweden? you speak with a swedish accent and i am from sweden so i recognize it. i also love super mario galaxy 2.
är du svensk? du pratar engelska med svensk brytning så jag känner igen den. jag älskar också super mario galaxy 2.
WHAT A SICK JOKE meme
All I was thinking before the video was as long as he puts world 4 last I'm fine... and it was! Glad we think the same way lol
Edit: just finished the video and world 5, which is my favorite, was 1st... this ranking is approved by me!
Great rank! I also feel the same way about world 4 especially how good world 3 was, but regardless, I love listening to each world map theme mostly 1, 3 and 5.
World 3's music theme is probably my favourite one overall, followed by World 2 and 5!
First?
world 3 is better then world 5😛
